Earth and Lunar don’t have a blessed problem with Ruin, they just don’t interact with him much that we see because Ruin is distancing himself to not be a burden on the family.

Sun and Ruin don’t seem to interact but Sun seemed uncomfortable with Moon’s continued distrust of Ruin.

Solar and Ruin didn’t have a problem interacting before Moon said Ruin could’ve been the one to knock him out and recreate Eclipse.

And this is despite Moon (I think fact check me my head hurts and I can’t watch the videos at the moment bc bright colors) having been the one that wanted to cure him instead of kill him.

January 16, 1939. Almost exactly nine months after the publication of ACTION COMICS #1, Superman became a syndicated newspaper strip, which was what Siegel and Shuster had wanted in the first place — in those days, comic strips were the big time, with comic books the somewhat disreputable poor relation. The first newspaper continuity presented a more detailed account of Superman's origin than had yet appeared in the comic books, introducing many elements that would become foundations of the Superman mythos.

Two points of note in this initial strip: First, it indicates that all Kryptonians possessed superhuman powers even on their homeworld, here attributed to advanced evolution. The notion that Superman's powers were due to environmental differences between Earth and Krypton developed gradually, and it wasn't until the 1950s (when the scope of his abilities had increased beyond what could be explained by lighter gravity alone) that they were attributed to Earth's yellow sun. Second, notice the spellings of Superman's parents' names, here "Jor-L" and "Lora." Superman's mother became "Lara" in the initial radio version of Superman's origin a year later, and the modern spellings of "Jor-El" and "Kal-El" first appeared in the 1942 prose novel THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, by radio director George Lowther, although in the novel, the "E" was lowercase (i.e., Jor-el, Kal-el).

You know as a horror fan "cultural Christianity" is such a useful term because as an atheist as well as a horror fan and a fan of haunted house stuff if it's done well I very, very quickly noticed how many horror movies are Christian propaganda. So few horror movies involving religion (which is a shocking amount of them btw) pick any religion that's not Christianity to center itself around and when they do that religion is bad and evil, not the cause of evil and the savior from it (because the demons may be Christian, but God and the bible are also the solutions in a way other religions aren't granted. Bonus points if it's an indigenous religion being portrayed as Evil and Bad).

Pretty much any exceptions I can think of to that rule use Judaism and the Holocaust as a backdrop and never in like a normal, the Holocaust is horrible way it's always playing on myths of Nazi Germany's experimentation on the Jewish population. Which I find highly troubling and disturbing, but regardless nothing like being a horror fan to convince you of cultural Christianity because no other genre leans on religion as a plot device so much unless it's straight up a Christian movie for a Christian audience using Christianity as it's main theme and through line.

Yugipedia claims that Evil HERO Malicious Fiend is a counterpart to Elemental HERO Wildedge. This, I think, is completely made up, they have very flimsy evidence to back up their claims. Instead, I propose that Evil HERO Malicious Fiend is a counterpart to Volcanic Doomfire. It's FIRE attribute, was summoned against Axel Brodie WHILE he had Volcanic Doomfire on the field (though it was not used as fusion material), and it has the same effect of forcing your opponent's monsters to attack it. Side note, Malicious Fiend's Japanese name is "Malicious Devil", while Volcanic Doomfire's Japanese name is "Volcanic Devil". Just a thought

it's pretty interesting how marvin's defining characteristics in pop culture are the blowing up earth to see venus motivation and 'where's the kaboom' "catchphrase", both things that come from and occur only once in his very penultimate appearance of the golden age era. but in addition to that, are more associated with his initial green/red design, not the gold/green palette actually used for those final two shorts.

what Does also contain that green/red design is duck dodgers and the 24th 1/2 century, one of the two marvin shorts included in the bugs bunny/road runner compilation movie, which also named him and uses a new illustration with the "classic" palette, and I'm guessing that's what embedded those elements into newer generations' public perception and later marketing. I dunno I just think seeing what factors are picked up most by pop culture surrounding classic media is neat!!
