TOH WITH A IMMORTAL READER!

Okay so this wasn’t a specific request or anything so I’m just going to answer here with how I think each character would cope with having an immortal significant other. This got very long as I included basically everyone that’s on my masterlist… oops!

Also, to reiterate, these are just my thoughts so they’re very biased towards how I interpret the characters — and your relationship with the characters can be romantic or queer-platonic or similar depending on your preference!

Thoughts below the cut!

Adrian Graye-Vernworth

doesn’t even remotely believe you at first and will probably assume you’re joking. but once he does recognise your honesty then he’ll probably have something of a breakdown for a while and step back from your relationship — equal parts jealous of the life you’ve lived and horrified at the idea of just being a blip on the radar of your infinite life. it’s 50/50 whether this is a dealbreaker for him and he’ll either slowly inch back into your relationship or just break up with you because of the stress.

Alador Blight

alador is mostly neutral to your immortality when it comes to your relationship. like he’ll call on you for a second opinion when he’s working on something and will draw on your experience to further help his fellow witches — but he doesn’t really think about it any beyond that. though he does sometimes worry about you and how you’ll cope when he’s gone (because he knows that losing you would break him).

Amity Blight

when you tell her it’s quite the shock to the system and she doesn’t really know what to say or how to react. she’ll freeze up and you can see her thinking as she considers her response before she finally squeezes your hands and thanks you for telling her. she’d want to stay with you and wouldn’t want to break up, but she’d definitely have a few crises over the fact that you’ve lived so long before her and you will live so long after — but she also finds a small bit of comfort in the idea that she’ll never have to live without you.

Belos / Philip Wittebane

he’s been alive for far longer than he ever should have been because of his mission, so the idea of immortal entities isn’t difficult for him to believe. so upon finding out about your condition, he’s amazed but not necessarily startled by it — asking you about your origins and if there are more beings like you out there. if he truly cares about you, he’ll stick by you for as long as he’s able to keep his form stable — but if he doesn’t then he’ll just use you to find a way to complete his goal and lengthen his life further.

Boscha

boscha is someone else who wouldn’t believe you when you told her — going from genuine disbelief to shaky doubt to outright terrified denial and then through the stages of grief as she comes to terms with your condition. as sad as it sounds, this would probably end up being a deal breaker and would end your relationship as she would struggle too much with your past and future to be with you beyond that.

Camila Noceda

she doesn’t believe you at first, thinking that you’re just older than her as she’s seen some strange things but immortality is just so far beyond that. it takes her some time to come to terms with this but you do end up bonding over the losses you’ve experienced throughout your lives — you, your various lovers and friends, and her, luz’s father. she insists on learning your native language and teaching you hers so that you have an experience to remember her by.

Collector

having an immortal significant other would be the best case scenario for collector given his own life span. they wouldn’t have to worry about losing you prematurely and you’d be able to understand the issues he’s faced throughout their long life — whilst also having all the time in the world to grow with him and together as a couple. so they would be hopeful to have a spouse with this trait.

Darius Deamonne

this wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for darius but he would have a serious, long conversation about where you both stand and how your experiences would impact your relationship. he wouldn’t necessarily ask about your past relationships but he would be curious about older ages of magic on the isles and how other realms function — and especially how that can help the rebellion against belos.

Eberwolf

they’re pretty chill about the whole thing, honestly — like it rarely ever comes up in conversation so there’s no real impact on your relationship. you two just continue vibing together and spending the time you have wisely (by having fun) without the stresses such a realisation often bring. really they’re the best person you could have told — they only bring it up once or maybe twice and it’s only to make fun of you (lovingly, of course).

Eda Clawthorne

your immortality means that you have more knowledge of the world before belos and, thus, wild magic and magic as a whole. this means that eda will be looking to you to learn more about the owl beast, the history of those like her and if you ever came to know others with similar curses. she’d also insist on you teaching her about the people you loved and she’ll happily talk about raine (she’s far from the jealous type, but she is something of a gossip). she doesn’t care about making scrapbooks or taking pictures and prefers living in the moment with you and your family — living in the ‘doing’ world rather than focusing on capturing every little thing. you’ll look back on this with king and fleetingly wish you had more pictures, but the memory of her laugh and smile is tangible enough that neither of you feel like you’re missing out on too much.

Edric Blight

he will probably have something of an existential crisis about his own mortality when you tell him and would insist on finding a way to make himself live as long as you do. he starts comparing himself to the people you loved and lost and you’ll end up having to talk him into getting some help for it. your relationship will be permanently changed by this, but you will grow and heal with time — it’s just such a shock for him that he takes a bit of a mental health wobble whilst he comes to terms with it.

Emira Blight

em tends to bottle up her feelings a lot and will initially come off as very accepting and calm about the whole thing — but make no mistake this poor woman is one mislabelled jar of seasoning away from a breakdown. she’s now very aware of her own mortality and that she’s one of the probably dozens you’ve loved and lost and she’s absolutely terrified of being forgotten and lost to the sands of time. she’ll insist on keeping thorough, reliable records of your time together and by the time she’s old and you’re young you’ll be spending your last days together looking over them and laughing and crying and holding each other — finally ready to say goodbye.

Gus Porter

he will bombard you with questions about your life nonstop. did you ever live in the human realm? how has it changed? how has the boiling isles changed? there’s so much he wants to know and he has all the time in the world to listen to you talk — and he will note down everything you say and look at you with complete interest. so yeah he’ll still love you just as much as before, he’s just very nosy and eager to learn.

Hunter Wittebane

hunter is someone that would likely have a few hang-ups regarding true- and pseudo- immortality given his status as a clone/grimwalker. he’d have to do a lot of thinking regarding your relationship once he found out and a lot of serious conversations would be had about his natural lifespan compared to yours. in the end you would stay together and he’d be with you for a significant period of it (a few hundred years given him being similar to palismen) with him insisting that you don’t bring him back once he’s gone.

Lilith Clawthorne

she’d be absolutely entranced by your condition and would start fangirling over everything you must have experienced. you’ll end up getting interviewed and documented in every way possible as she asks about your history in and beyond the isles. though she might spend a bit more time on the deadwardian period than anything else (she’s biased, okay!).

Luz Noceda

luz would be amazed with you and would be eager to learn your story — as well as just about everything about you. she wants to learn your native language and hear about the cultures and people you knew throughout the years, especially if it involves some form of magic. she does, however, insist on making lots of memories with you and recording them so you never forget her.

Mattholomule

another one that doesn’t believe you but in mattholomule’s case he never ends up believing you. in his mind you’re just making a weird joke and there comes a point where you just stop trying to correct him and just live your life out with him — watching him grow old and grey whilst you remain the same. it’s on his death bed when he finally realises, but the life you shared was full of laughter and love so neither of you find it in yourselves to complain.

Odalia Blight

she is the type to use your status to her advantage which means that your relationship dynamic would inevitably shift. like she’d still care about you and be as affectionate as before, but she insists on showing you off and presenting herself as the wife of an immortal being in order to put herself above her fellow witches. you can tell her to knock it off. it will not work.

Raine Whispers

raine is heartbroken for you when they realise just how much you’ve lost throughout your life and they insist on memorialising your lost loved ones however they can. they help you write ballads for deceased lovers and learn to play songs from your home (even if their pronunciation is very shaky) because they care so deeply about you. they don’t talk about their concerns often, but they do ask that you remember them — and they leave you plenty of songs behind to do so.

Steve

as he’s quite possibly the most chilled out person in the boiling isles, steve doesn’t really care about the fact that you’re immortal. like when you tell him he’ll ask you a few questions about yourself and your past, but otherwise your relationship will stay the same and he’ll keep on keeping on. might expect the occasional cool story from your past, though, when you’ve both been drinking some apple blood.

Terra Snapdragon

she will most likely treat this as an opportunity to gain more power through your relationship. like she does care for you as you are her spouse at the end of the day, but she’s also incredibly power-hungry and having a partner who is immortal and has more experience than basically every other living entity is the ideal opportunity for her to get what she wants. so she definitely wouldn’t leave you, but the dynamic between the two of you would definitely change.

Viney

this wouldn’t be the end of your relationship but it would change a lot. viney insists on the two of you continuing to live in the moment together, focusing on making lasting memories doing things that you both love so that you never forget her. that means frequent fun dates, time spent teaching as a team, helping everyone you can and just spending time together doing what you love and having as much fun as you can whilst doing so.

Willow Park

willow is shocked by the revelation of your immortality but she doesn’t make too much of a big deal of it. like she will sit down with you and discuss anything you want to talk about, but generally your relationship remains unchanged. the only change is that she starts writing letters for you and hiding them — wanting to leave something behind for you once she’s gone.

How the Covenheads Help with Cramps

Belos

Is very understanding of biology and the pain your going through and is actually very helpful during your time of month. While he grew up in a time where wive's and women didn't talk about these sorts of things he refuses to be uneducated about feminine issues just because he's a man. Denying you painkillers would be akin to denying him palismen when his curse acts up. He takes good care of you getting you whatever you need to be comfortable and makes sure you're resting and taking some time off so your body can rest. While he may joke about having a baby to get rid of the cramps for nine months he is nothing but supportive and doting.

Hunter

He learned from his uncle about taking care of a partner and is a complete gentleman during your time of month. While he may be a bit awkward at times he approaches it like a mission. He gets you all the needed supplies and makes sure you're comfortable. While physical touch and affirmations aren't his thing he does his best to make you feel loved and he'll do whatever you need him too. He gets worried when you're in pain and does his best to take care of you, he hates that he can't help more.

Kikimora

The imp has had her fair share of cramps and pain. She is more than ready to take care of you. Heating pads, healing potions, medical supplies. Whatever you need if she doesn't already have it, she will get it. She also lets you be the big spoon while cuddling. You use her as a plushy, cuddling her and holding her close as you rest and get better. A bit demeaning perhaps but she loves you enough to endure it.

Lilith

She is always prepared for your time of month and your cramps. She keeps it in her calendar so you're never caught by surprise. She has your favorite snacks, potions, pain killers, and all the soft things. Anything you could ever want she has stockpiled just for you. She makes sure you're getting plenty of food and rest and that you take painkillers regularly so you're not in any pain. She has a busy schedule but she makes time for you. Both to take care of you and to make sure she practicing what she's preaching.

Raine

They'll sing you to sleep or play music to get your mind off the cramps. They encourage lots of rest and do their best to play music that'll soothe you and your sore body. On nights you can't sleep they stay up with you singing softly or telling stories as their hands play with your hair and massage your shoulders. They are very touch orientated but respect both you and your boundaries as you endure this silent pain. Tell them what you need and they'll do anything for you.

EberWolf

Eber can smell when your time of month is coming. So whether it's regular or not they always know before you. He has a nesting instinct due to being a demon witch subtype and will make sure your comfy and taken care of in a nest on your bed made of your guyses clothes. They also prefer natural methods to traditional medication so they bring you warm blankets, soups, and comfort foods as they take care of you. They also bring certain herbs and plants from the woods to help keep you calm and crampless. During this time they become very cuddly and overprotective wanting the best for you and your body. If you ask for pain killers he'll hand them over out of respect for you but he wants to try his methods first.

Vitimir

Vitimir is brewing teas mixed with pain medication for you before you even ask. He knows all your favorite snacks and exactly what you want when you get cravings. He does a good job playing caretaker as this is one of his main forms of love languages. Vits very gentle in his actions and although he can't say it physically he wants you to know how much he loves you by the actions he does for you. An example is when he lays with you to cuddle after a long day, he traces small hearts into your arms. Nuzzling close so you know how much your loved, even if he can't say it.

Terra

She can be the worst or best during your period depending on her mood. If she feels your period inconveniences her your hell week is about to get worse. If you don't like being touched or are sensitive to touch on your period it doesn't matter. Terra expects her cuddle time whether you want to or not. That being said if you've been good she's very doting. She makes you teas and gives you natural remedies for your cramps and aches. She loves getting to be your personal nurse when your on your period and finds the power trip it gives her thrilling.

Adrain

Adrain has very strong care taker instincts. He takes cramps very seriously and hates to see you in any kind of pain. He's always spoiling you because he loves you and wants you to feel special but your entire period he's pampering you. Massages to soothe the cramps, warm bubbly baths together, all your favorite foods, and lots of lounging/cuddling. He's an expert in period care and most months you don't even notice the pain or discomfort thanks to his help.

Hettie

As head healing witch this can go two ways. She can soothe you your entire period or she can let you suffer because she enjoys watching your pain. On the one hand she recognizes she could put you in an almost medical coma making the period painless because of how much your resting or on the other she could make your cramps worse from your stress and her magic. It depends on her mood. Sometime she likes being the hero and other times she enjoys being the villain. Maybe a little too much.

Osran

As an oracle he knows when your period is coming, how long it'll last, if it'll be irregular or normal, and what you'll need. He is not the most attentive when it comes to your emotional needs but due to his powers he is always prepared for your physical needs. He buys the exact amount of snacks you'll need so you don't run out. The exact amount of pads or tampons. The type of cleaning products you'll need if you have a bleed through or accident. He's always prepared and it's nice to know he has everything you need even if you sometimes want more from him.

Darius

He's one of the best at taking care of you balancing spoiling you and continuing your schedule as usual. After his shift there's massages, cuddle time, bubble baths, spa treatments, reassurance, snacks, and movie nights. Darius spends your period pampering you and making sure you have everything you could want or need. He keeps you on a heavy but loose schedule so that your still getting in everything you need to do but at your own pace. He likes to wear matching pajamas and stay in to cuddle under warm blankets while you watch romcoms together and do spa treatments.

✦ Hunter X Collector!Reader ✦

[Chapter Five: Watching and Dreaming]

previous chapter

[Y/n] smiles, as she sits up happy the war is over, watching as the sun shines between the clouds. She looked down at a puddle of water, and her reflection stared back at her, and her eyes were no longer that of the same as her brother. But, [e/c] and her hair was now, [h/c], and the purple batch on her face no longer there.

‘And that's how we saved the Boiling Isles.��

In the forest where the red pine trees are to be placed horizontally. A bird perches on one horizontally.’Well, as much as we could.’

At the Archives, where everyone starts to come out safely.

‘We were so relieved to see everyone safely released from the Archives. They were spared the worst of it, at least.’

Lilith hands over a puppet Steve to be returned to normal by The Collector. Steve then feels his body and sees Lilith, who offers him a hug. Instead, Steve scoops her into a big hug, much to Lilith and The Collector’s happiness. Inside everyone was reuniting with their families and loved ones.

‘Because of that, everyone got to reunite with their families and loved ones.’

Amity runs over to hug her father, who happily hugs her. “Dad!” Amity laughs happily, Odalia scowling to the side. Gus, looks around for his father worriedly. When he does, he releases several illusions of himself which all approach his father. Once surrounded, Perry tries to hug the first two illusions until he gets to the third one, who turns out to be the real Gus. He picks him up and hugs him as the other illusions disappear.

Willow looks around for her fathers, accompanied by Hunter. He then suddenly smiles and points to someone. Willow instantly stares in shock and she runs to hug her fathers tight, who then kiss each other after.

Hunter’s expression returns to gloom as he reaches into his pocket; pulling out the single wolf ear hairclip. He had forgotten to give it to her when they reunited, and something in him told him that he’d never see him again. The moment he saw the tiny stars fall from the sky in the archives, it was just that gut feeling. He looks down sadly, as he looks after realizing no one might be probably waiting for him.

‘And if someone thought they had no one waiting for them, well, they were in for a nice surprise.’

Someone suddenly ruffles Hunter’s hair, and he looks towards them in annoyance to reveal Darius and Eberwolf, with an appreciative looks on both of their faces. Darius then points to Hunter’s shirt to which he goes into detail explaining everything while Darius and Eberwolf look on, interested.

Someone suddenly taps on Hunter’s shoulder, and he looks towards them in annoyance but turns into a look of joy, revealing [Y/n]. Emotions took over and he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her as if her life depended on it. She pulled back from the hug and smiled at him, the excitement of seeing her again and the emotions, just seemed to take over, cause the next moment he crashed his lips on hers. She was taken aback for a moment but slowly melted into the kiss and kissed him back.

Back in Hexside, everyone celebrates the return of Principal Bump, which is met with applause. His long black hair, which is flowing in the wind, stops to reveal Amelia and Cat, who wave happily. Boscha suddenly pushes through the Blight twins who were in front of her, Edric falling due to his cast, runs over and hugs them, crying.

‘Still, there was a lot of work to be done—’

Various Bonesborough citizens, including Morton, observe all the damage done. Darius and Eberwold, inside the ruined castle, look on at the Titan’s hand, now in its new position.

‘And not everyone was keen to change things—’

Belos’ ruined throne. Vitimir, Terra and Adrian all walk towards it with mischievous looks on their faces. Two big shadows loon over them, revealed to be Darius and Eberwolf. Darius forms his left hand into an abomination fist, seemingly threatening them, as the three coven heads walk away nervously. Vitimit suddenly returns to touch the edge of the throne and it is promptly smashed away by Darius’ abomination hand.

‘But we were ready to give it a shot. All of us.’

Inside the owl house, Eda fixes the nest as she lays Raine down, then resting by their side. King jumps from behind, plopping into the spot beside Raine as Luz, Eda, and [Y/n] laugh. A blue light suddenly flashes and the gang turns to look at the Collector, followed by a hooded Lilith. The sisters reunite and hug as Camila and Amity, also enter the house. Amity and Luz hugs, and subsequently share a kiss. Camila then nudges Luz’s hand and the two share a hug.

‘As for The Collector—’

The Collector then approaches King and decides to give him back Francois. King happily hugs Francois as he walks away.

‘he and I made a pinky promise to keep trying our best. He said he had a lot of growing up to do, so he decided to return to the stars.’

[Y/n] looks down at her little brother and hugged him, and he hugged her back “Even though, I’m no longer a Collector, I’m still your big sister.” She said, kissing him on the forehead. King then catches up with the Collector and decided to let him have Francois. He then whispers in The Collector’s ear, which makes him tear up.

‘No one argued, but I think I heard King whisper, "I hope I see you again.”

‘We got our happy ending, but I realized something in that moment.’

‘When the Titan had finally passed on, so did the powers of the glyphs.’

But there would be a new adventure..

[ four years later ]

Owlbert flies next to Willow, who is now a professional flyer derby player. Together, they dive into the forest, where Hunter is carving a palisman from palistorm wood to give to Braxas. Willow lands on the ground and surfs on thorny vines. Hunter turns and he has a bluejay on his shoulder. He glances at the Bat Queen and Eda’s parents working in the garden. He catches up with Willow and walks before sliding down a steep incline. Hunter loses his balance and Willow breaks Hunter’s fall, and they are in shock.

They look to the side and they warmly smile. It is a gravestone for Flapjack, and Willow conjures delicate vines to decorate the gravestone. Hunter and Willow fly off to Bonesborough. They stop at the library, which is in the process of renovation. Mattholomule is seen overseeing the construction, while Kikimore is struggling with the wooden beams. Lilith unfurls her plans for a library wing, and Hooty eagerly watches.

The wind suddenly picks up and an Abomintaion themed blimp lands in front of them. Amity steps out and hugs Lilith. Lilith then revealed her new harpy form, which resembles a raven. [Y/n] lands on the ground, and holds her staff in her hand while holding a sketchbook in the other. She smiled happily seeing, everyone, and walked towards Hunter kissing him on the cheek.

‘Jasper, stop I’m trying to listen!’

‘Me too, shh be quiet Stella!’

Sitting in a chair sat a much older [Y/n] her hair had been cut short, and there was a wedding band around her left ring finger. Closing the picture book in her hands she looked down at the children in front of her. A boy with blonde hair and [e/c] eyes looked at his twin sister with an annoyed look. A girl with [h/c] hair and brown eyes stuck her tongue out her at older twin. [Y/n] shook her head, and watched as her children bickered over them continuously interrupting the story.

“Knock it off you two,” She said, looking at the twins whose gaze shifted back to their mother, who still held the book in her hands. She opens the book, and was about to continue reading.

“Mommy?” Stella said, causing her mother to look up from the book. “Yes, sweetie?” [Y/n] said, looking at her daughter. “What, was it like when you kissed daddy?” She asked, and Jasper looked at her disgusted making a barf face.

[Y/n] chuckled, patting her lap Stella stood up and waddled her way towards her, and she picked her up. “Well, the first thing there was a lot of emotion behind it.” She said, smiling looking down at her daughter, “We hadn’t seen each other in almost a day, and he thought he’d lost me again, and that he’d never see me again.” She said, sadly causing Stella to frown.

“But, the moment he saw me it was like seeing an old friend after years of being apart. And all that emotion just took over.” She said, recalling it and smiling warmly at the memory. “Then he said I love you?” Stella asked, and [Y/n] shook her head, “Nope, not yet thats my little star.” [Y/n] said, nuzzling her head against Stella’s. “Is a story for another day.” She said, causing Stella to frown.

“Awe, did I miss storytime?” A voice said, the children looked over towards the doorway, a much older Hunter stood there. “Daddy!” the twins exclaimed, running over to their father he knelt down wrapping his arms around his children.

“How’s, my little stars?” He asked, Jasper looked at his father happily, “Mommy’s telling us the story of how you and everyone defeated Belos.” She said, and Hunter looked at her, “They’ve been begging me nonstop.” She said, and Hunter just rolled his eyes with a smile. “Plus, they wanted to stay up so they could see you.” she said, smiling and placing a bookmark in the book for later.

She pushed herself up from the chair, revealing her bump of a stomach. “Now, that you back….Bedtime!” She said, clapping her hands, causing the twins to whine. “Daddy! Can we stay up to finish the story?!” They asked, and Hunter shook his head, “Nope, mom said it’s bedtime.” Hunter said, and they pouted folding their arms across their chest.

“Plus, mommy needs rest,” Hunter said, gesturing toward their mother’s growing stomach. “But, I’ll finish the story tomorrow,” Hunter said, looking down at the twins whose eyes lit up with joy.

Day one of headcanons!! 🌱💌

Raine x NG ( non-gendered reader)

You and Raine met in the abomination class, though you we’re only attending abomination class, Raine attended both Bard and Abomination.

How you met:

You scrambled your way to the halls, you were in big trouble. You were LATE. Thank Titans the principal and Bump was outside, lecturing Eda and the others. You dashed your way to the school walls, made your way to your class room and turned the knob, slamming the door open and it made a loud thud. Darius was furious and everyone glared at you.

“ Thank Titans! sorry guys. I was-“

You were cut off by a short tan kid with shoulder-length mullet mint-green hair just next to you. “So much for a troublemaker. I’m Raine, I don’t know if you heard but our seat mates are our partners…” they adjusted their glasses slightly, scanning your attire and your long luxurious hair, their cheek lightly dusted with pink color and then looked away as the teacher got in.

“ Whispers, Raine Whispers-“ they mumbled before you cut them off.

“ Yeah, I heard you the first time.” You giggled softly, pushing him back to their seat, they didn’t realize they were leaning too close, this cause you two to blush and later you worked on your first abomination as partners.

How they confessed : It was roughly six months since you two met, you pulled pranks together, went to stroll at the mountains to train and they’d come over to study in your house only for your siblings spy on you two, they’d joke about you making out, though your mum thought Raine is a good influence to you. You’d go on play pranks on Odalia and her “boyfriend” Alador. You weren’t really friends with them, neither Raine is. Though you two were outcasts, Raine made you feel like you weren’t though. They made you feel loved and cared for, when you were sick they would feed you soup and their dad would barge in and pull them away, their really persistent so they obviously got back to see you when they could. They’d tell you about their adventures and then say that they missed you and feels incomplete without their “partner”. You felt sorry for Raine because his timid and quite nerdy??? So they didn’t really have friends other than you. When you got better , went back t school… Raine started avoiding you. In lunch, he didn’t even eat with you. They looked anxious and wasn’t themselves, so you walked to them and confronted them.

“Whispers! What’s the matter with you? I’m sick of you ignoring me- I DONT WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH Y-“ You pushed him with force, but they got a lot fitter through training and instead, pulled you gently into a kiss. Raine cupped your cheek, and his hands found it’s way to your waist. His face was flushed red, so is yours. You kissed him back, and pulled away as you two catched your breath.

“You… idiot.” You scoffed, and shook your head. You were still upset because they rather kiss you than explain what’s up. Though, Raine seems to be good at kissing.

“I can’t help but think about being… I don’t know. Like a couple, and my father knew this, he was against it.. He ordered me not to see you. But.. I- I can’t just let you go. Darius.. I don’t want him trying to touch you. To steal you, you’re.. mine y/n sweetheart. ” Raine let out a sigh, they paced around and mumbled to himself, Titan knows what their saying.

- Anyways, you dated their goofy bum, they’re such a reliable and sweet s/o!! They promises to always be there for you and not care about anyones thoughts of your relationship, they also gives you time for yourself and to grow personally.

- You go to fairs together, the carnival and hang out with eberwolf!

- He writes you poems and plays the violin for you.

The first day of your new job started at eight o clock, where you put together the Covenhead's schedule, ensuring that all his meetings with the other covenheads were marked as urgent and any of his appointments were marked the same.

At ten o' clock, you found yourself in the covenheads private room and were currently helping him decide what to wear for the day.

"Is this really something you need my help with, sir?", you asked hesitantly, fashion was not your forté, nor was anything really.

Darius sighed heavily, "of course it is! I need a second set of eyes to tell me that I look great! Now, which cloak do you think I should wear to my meeting with the Emperor?"

The Abominations master showed you two cloaks, one which was purple and had gold accents and the other which was white with purple and gold accents. You stared at both the cloaks for a while before speaking.

"Well I'd have to say the purple cloak, I think the purple suits the rest of the outfit more."

Darius lifted the cloak you chose to himself and stared into his mirror, he turned at different angles examining the cloth before smiling and humming to himself.

"Hmm, yes I do suppose so, quite the eye for style you have, my dear."

The Covenhead then looked over at the other cloak and then to you, "here, you can wear this one then, you can't look a mess infront of the Emperor."

Darius flung the cloak over your shoulders and secured it in place, softly patting down any creases or wrinkles, before stepping back and looking you up and down, "oh yes, that suits you divinely, now come on, we have a meeting to attend to."

Darius put his arm around you and pulled you along.

Once you arrived at the Emperors Coven meeting hall Darius turned to you.

"Actually, I have something I need you to do instead of standing in on this meeting", he twirled is finger in a circle and a piece of paper appeared, "its just a few things but I do want them done."

You took the list and watched as he walked through the doors leaving you in the hallway.

You examined the list that Darius gave you, it... sure was something.

"Do laundry, clean house, bathe Eberwolf? What? This is what he wants me to do?", you shoved the list into your pocket and sighed before walking away, you were hired as his assistant not his maid.

The headwitch had but his address and location off the spare key to his house on the back and so you let yourself in, his house wasnt as bug as you thought it would be nor was it quite as modern as his office was, but it was purple, it was horrendously purple.

The list told you that 'laundry' meant 'towels, sheets and clothes' and that you'd find them in the wash baskets, it didn't say where the wash baskets were though, so you searched the house looking through each room, before you finally found what you were looking for.

there were three wash baskets, one in the bathroom, one in a large purple room that you assumed to be the Headwitch's and the final one was in a room slightly smaller than the Covenhead's and painted gold.

So you now stood in the laundry room trying to figure out how to you Darius' washer.

"Why is this so confusing? its a washer it just needs softener and detergent!", you whispered to yourself, opening cupboards and rifling through them in search for the aforementioned cleaning supplies.

"Oh, finally!", you pulled a small box out from what you assumed to be a hot press that held the bottles of soaps.

You skimmed the instructions on the bottles and poured them onto the clothes and turning the washer on with a circle of your finger.

Pulling out the list you crossed off the first task, "'Do laundry', done, now time to clean the house."

Thankfully the house wasn't actually that messy, it was just really dusty, especially the master bedroom, which had drawers and end tables caked in dust.

You had been so distracted with cleaning that you hadn't heard the front door opening, or the loud goodbyes from outside, but you did hear the jittery footsteps clambering up the stairs, you stood but from where you were kneeling and glanced outside into the hall.

You took a step out of the room and looked around coming face to face with a teenage boy who stared right back at you.

"uhh.." You both said, confused at the others existence.

"Who are you?", you ask glancing around the hallway for an answer.

"Hunter, who are you?", Hunter asked, a look of faint recognition flashing in his eyes when you introduce yourself, "oh, you're Darius' new assistant aren't you? Wait, why are you in our house then?"

You show Hunter the list that you were given, he somehow managed to look more confused than before, "this is what Darius has you doing? Not paperwork, or interviews, or scheduling, housework?"

You shrugged and took back the list, "in all honesty, I think he might have given me the wring list, but he wouldn't put his address and where he keeps the spare key on a list for himself. Wait, so are you like Darius' son or something?"

Hunter's ears grew red, "What?! No, that's ridiculous, I just live with him, nothing else!"

You look at him sceptically, "Okay then. Well nice meeting you Hunter but I've got to get through the rest of this list so, see ya."

The third item on the list seemed like a suicide mission from afar but up close, not to bad.

Eberwolf just stated at you for a second when you told them that you were going to bathe him and then they just shrugged and went on with it, purring slightly when you washed her mane.

You used both a towel and magic to dry the beast off, nodding your head as she chittered and snuffed at you, you didn't know what he was saying but you just went along with it.

After that the rest of the list was a breeze; collecting orders and booking appointments, and you were back to the Abominations Coven by afternoon.

You knocked on the Covenhead's office door and walked in to find him lying across the disgustingly purple couch with a hand over his face.

He glanced over his hand when you walked in and removed it from his face, "where have you been? I thought you just up and left!"

You stared at him, "what? I was doing the work you gave me?"

Darius just waved you off, "whatever it doesn't matter now, we need to get you settled in, now, did you bring your things with you or do we need to go to your home to retrieve them?"

You stared at him again, what was he talking about, "my things? what do you mean?"

"For when you move in, remember we discussed this during your interview, you'd be staying with me in my home to better assist me if I so need you."

"Oh right, yeah my stuff is still in my house, sorry I forgot."

Darius' eyes seemed to soften ever so slightly, "that's no problem, pet, we can just go over now and get them now."

He then grabbed hold of your hand as abomination matter wrapped around you both and you felt the ground shift and fall, when the magic disappeared you found yourself in front of your cottage and it dawned on you, you were leaving Raine alone in this old heap, Raine who took you in and gave you every second they could spare.

It was a bittersweet feeling as you packed your things into a few bags, you left a few trinkets behind as memories but nothing else.

You looked around the room one more time, just like you did when you first moved in and shut the door tightly, walking downstairs and out of the house meeting back with Darius.

"Oh finally, now come on, it would be best if we get back to my house before evening, my son is waiting at home."

"Oh you mean Hunter?", you asked suddenly remembering your interaction with the blonde boy.

"Oh, you two have met? Thats good saves me an introduction", Darius held his hand out for you two take which you did, turning your eyes back to the old cottage for one last look before sinking into the Abominations and into the ground.

every day starts and ends with them tackling you — only occasionally making you jump as it’s more than become routine for you both

they enjoy riding on your shoulders and clinging to you generally because they’re very physically affectionate (and quite enjoy feeling tall as well)

they make a sort of purring/growling noise if you scratch behind their ears — and if you do it at the right moment they will lean into your hand and just fall over

they cling to you in their sleep, curling up on your chest or into your side depending on how you sleep — but they can also be very active in their sleep and they are a massive kicker in moments like that

they’re a shockingly good cook but rarely do it because they usually can’t be bothered, saving it for special occasions like your birthday

they call you their partner or your name for the most part — it’s the best way for them to describe your bond, but if they feel like confusing people they’ll call you their friend as well (they’re all accurate after all)

darius is the only one who knows the status of your and eber’s relationship but everyone else just assumes that you’re roommates — neither of you bother to correct them

you’re the one who eberwolf and darius come to after fights to patch them up — one of the original members of the rebellion and one of the only people they can be honest with

you’ve had to peel blood and mud and vegetation out of their fur and had to stitch up cuts and slices and cover bruises and bumps and scratches of all types

you worry about them, whether they’ll survive the day of unity, and they know it but neither of you have any intention to stop — you can’t

so you two settle on just promising to do your best to try and come home at the end of the day and that’s enough for now

Covenhead Baked Good Favorites 🍰

I love to bake so here are my headcannons on what the covenheads favorite baked goods are. Tagging @dopp-likes-yanderes because we've discussed this before

Belos: Bread pudding or Scones are his favorite as they remind him of home but he will eat anything you bake with a small smile. He's secretly a large sweet tooth and adores your sweet treats. If he's in the kitchen while you're baking he is teasing you as you bake making it hard to finish.

Hunter: He enjoys whatever you make but loves Pies and Fresh Baked breads. Hunter isn't a fan of a lot of icing/sugar unless it's Cinnamon rolls or something slightly savory but he's grateful for anything you bake for him. He'll sit patiently on the counter top and kick his legs as you bake. He can be really quiet but other times he's excitedly telling you about his day or infodumping.

Lilith: As head of the Emperor's Coven she often brags about her self control and how sweets aren't a temptation. However she has a soft spot for anything chocolate. Red Devils Chocolate Cake is her favorite and she can be bribed with said cake. She likes to sit in the kitchen as you bake and read. Sometimes she reads out loud so you can both enjoy the story and other times you both just sit in silence after a long day.

Kikimora: She steals all the cookies like a gremlin. It doesn't matter how many cookies you bake if she's alone with them they'll disappear. She isn't a fan of anything super gooey but if no one's around she'll take a piece of whatever you baked for herself. She skitters out of the kitchen when she sees you coming.

Raine: They love all sweets but have a strong favoritism towards anything made with Apple Blood. Cinnamon rolls and muffins are their favorite but if you make apple cobbler they're happy for the entire week. They love to bake with you standing behind you as you stir ingredients. If you don't need their help they'll serenade you or play music so you know you're not alone in the kitchen.

EberWolf: Anything literally anything you bake will be eaten with a happy smile in a very messy way. (Do not let them near the Chocolate they'll get sick.) Eber really loves when you make biscuits and cookies though because of their texture, they like the crunch and bite. They don't tend to stay in the kitchen while you bake but if they do they demand the spoon when you're done mixing and eat a lot more than they help bake.

Vitimir: Potion cakes, particularly lemon or licorice ones are what he adores. He's actually quite picky but will eat anything you bake as he doesn't want to be rude. Lemon flavored things make him smile under his cowl, the strong citrus taste being his favorite. He could eat an entire tray of lemon bars in a day so keep your eye on him. Surprisingly he's an excellent baker if he decides to help in the kitchen. But what he really loves to do is hug you from behind and just sway as you go about doing your own thing.

Terra: As someone who's known for tea time lunches Tea Cakes and Tarts are her favorite. A bit old fashioned perhaps but she enjoys them as they make her nostalgic. Mint is one of her preferred flavors but she's more into the type of sweet than the actual taste. She likes to sip tea in the kitchen as you both chat about your days. The sweets take awhile so she thinks of this as precious alone time and just enjoys it.

Adrian: As someone with a slim figure he tries to act picky about his sweets consumption. He claims to only eat a small slice of Coffee Cake or Cheese Cake on a treat day. But if no one is looking everything will be devoured. It doesn't matter what it is, Adrain's always hungry and he adores sweets. No self control. He can't be in the kitchen while you're baking because he wants to try everything but if he is in the kitchen he's teasing you the entire time. Loves to dot your nose with sugar and kiss it off along with other similar pranks.

Hettie: As a doctor Hettie knows how dangerous too many sweets can be. That being said Carrot Cake and Banana/Pumpkin bread are her favorites. While she tries to lean towards more healthy options that's not always the case. She is a hefty woman and doesn't plan on slimming down so if she takes a giant portion size don't judge her, your baking is amazing. She doesn't typically help but she'll remind you to eat regular food and drink water before having any of your baked goods.

Osran: This man is old fashioned. Tarts and Turnovers being on the top of his list. Any flavor works but he loves anything blueberry flavored. He's not a baker but he loves being in your company so that doesn't matter much. He'll sit and listen to you hum as you stir or do other things in the kitchen.

Darius: The covenhead is a man with fancy and refined tastes. Cheese cake bites, macaroons, and cake rolls are among his favorites. Cold desserts with hot drizzling sauces are what he prefers as he likes the cold and warm sensation at the same time. Outside of his fancy desserts he does like the occasional slice of warm pie with an ice cream scoop. He will put on an apron and help you bake if you ask. He's an excellent baking assistant and enjoys sneaking kisses between doing jobs in the kitchen.

Mason: This man loves anything that is chocolate or fudge flavored. Fudge Caramel Brownies, Monster cookies, Chocolate Peanut Butter bars, and chocolate chip cookies are some of his many favorites. If you bake him doughnuts I promise they will not stay around long. He's laughing and telling you stories to keep you entertained in the kitchen as you bake. He himself can't bake but he doesn't want you to be lonely so he stays with you keeping you company.

How.... Hollow Mind was a roller coaster BUT I CALLED IT FROM THE START ANyWAYS-

Yeah you know my username, Hunter is my favorite Idc if anyone says he's "overrated".

Here's an imagine for the end of hollow Mind where the reader figured it out from the beginning and is apart of the rebellion with Darius and Raine

Hunter (golden guard) x reader

Hunter ran, he ran and ran and just kept running. He couldn't believe anything right now, his uncle whom he looked up to and loved so dearly was truly just an evil horrible person. He couldn't return home, everything he knew was just twisted his whole world turned upside down. Hunter felt like he couldn't breath like he was drowning without water his head spun like crazy. He just kept mindlessly running into the forest until he bumped into someone and stumbled back onto his back. Hunter's breathing fastened as he looked up he was shaking with slight tears in his eyes. He saw 4 hooded people. "Kid...-? Hey are you alright..?! What happened...-?!" He recognized the voice. It was Darius, Hunter got up and lunged at him hanging onto him as he continued to have a panic attack fear still causing him to shake. Darius looked down at him and simply embraced him trying to calm him down. "BelosLuz was rightThecastleIcant-I'mgonnadie" Everyone, except one took of their hoods revealing themself and they looked at him concerned to see the young boy this shaken up. "kid... Slow down, calm down I didn't make out anything you just said" Darius wasnt good at this stuff, but he didn't like seeing hunter like this. Hunter looked at Daruis, Raine and Eberwolf, then at the still hooded stranger "Who is...?-" Darius looked at them and nodded then they revealed them self showing, h/l h/c hair, s/t (skin tone) skin and beautiful e/c eyes. Hunter went wide eyed as he looked at you in disbelief "Y-Y/N!" He stuttered out as he ran over to you and you pulled him close into an embrace and rubbed circles on his back "shh... It's okay.. I'm here now... Just try to breath..." Hunter stayed in your arms shaking until after a bit he finally calmed down a bit. Darius sat next to you both as the other two joined. "What's going on anymore I can't make sense of anything everything just gone confusing..." Hunter trailed off "Well, now you know about belos... The four of us have secretly been planning a way to stop him" "stop him? STOP HIM?! THERES NO WAY TO STOP HIM HE'S GOING TO KILL ME ONCE I GET BACK TO THE CASTLE! AND THEN HE'S GOING TO BRING THE DAY OF UNITY FASTER ALL BECAUSE I WAS THE ONE WHO GAVE HIM THE TITANS BLOOD!" Hunter screamed Darius went wide eyed then his expression darkened "No he will not. If even so lays a hand on you I will cut it off, your a good kid hunter you didn't ask for any of this it's not your fault belos manipulated you" more tears slid through hunter's eyes as he turned to you and pointed "And you Y/N you knew from the start didn't you?! That's why you had to leave the castle and the emporar's coven! That's why you just dissapeared and left me!" You looked at hunter "Yes that's true... I had no choice hunter belos threatened to kill you if I told you sooner!" Hunter started shaking again, of course you were the one in belos' way since the start of course he'd resort to snooping low to get you to shut up hunter realized he really wasn't the man he thought he was. Everything he knew was a lie it all made perfect sense now. Y/N came over and hugged hunter once more "I'm sorry for everything hunter... I'm sorry I left you alone with him, but we wont let anything happen to you again, we'll come up with a plan and you'll be safe" hunter stiffened a bit but then relaxed under your touch "I... Don't want to die Y/n...." "You won't" Darius said reassuringly "Right now the best course of action is to stay with Eda and the human and pretend like we didn't find you, y/n should stay with you as they can't return to the castle either" Raine said and everyone agreed. A small red bird came flying then laysed on hunter's shoulder nudging him chirping "Flapjack! Oh my titan I forgot about you! Are you okay?! Are you hurt are you tired?" Flapjack chirped happily at him "Good good.." he replied "Since when did you get a palismen?" You asked curious

"it's a.. long story.. anyways let's get back down.." you nodded and the both of started walking back as the three waved and started heading back to the emporar's castle flapjack kept flying around you and chirping before going back to hunter who simply chuckled "I think he likes you."

(Some buddies and I headcanoned that They regularly get the zoomies and I’d honestly love to see someone else’s take on this idea)

Asks for EberWolf and the other Covenheads/Hunter/Belos are open :)

EberWolf pack bonded with you the second you joined the Emperor's Coven. They have very primal instincts about who to bond with and whether you knew it or not they had to have you as a friend and pack member. You didn't really do anything directly involving the beast track but you did work with the covenheads a lot which meant you interacted with them on several occasions. Eber would follow you around outside of meetings learning more about you and while they can't communicate normally they are still very intelligent. Over time you got used to the little Beasty following you outside of their own work and grew close with EberWolf.

Eber despite being a beast keeper has many beast attributes. His fangs, claws, and eyes only being apart of the many beast qualities he possess. You quickly learn of their possessiveness over who they deem apart of their pack and Darius is chuckling as you get used to Ebers eccentric nesting and packing behaviors. Their clinginess as well as their tendency to climb you is just another thing on a long list you're adjusting too.

You quickly learn about zooming and how they have the random urge to run and expel excessive amounts of energy.

Eber settles in your arms when you scoop them up but soon they're whining and thrashing around in your grip. Sitting down so they can settle in your lap you gently pet them to calm them down. While you don't mind the zoomies (having long gotten used to them) you don't want them to get in trouble for these urges as Belos has mentioned how savage they are before.

While Eber hates staying still especially when they have zoomies feeling your hands on them and being surrounded by your scent helps immensely. As you begin to brush their hair with your fingers and braid their mane in slow deliberate motions they purr contently curling up in your lap. Even Darius has to admit he is impressed when he sees a limp Eber relaxing against you.

Hanahaki Disease (花吐き病)

For those that don't know Hanahaki Disease is a fictional disease where a person spits up flower petals if they like somebody/ have found who they think is their soulmate. As time goes on the petals turn to full fledged flowers growing from the heart. If the love is one-sided then the person chokes to death on the flowers, the petals filling their lungs. If it's mutual the disease fades away.

Platonic soulmates spit up their partners/friends petals. They are non-dangerous but the petals can rot or wilt over time if the relationship fades. Romantic soulmates spit up petals and grow flowers from their lungs until the person confesses. Once the confessions been made petals will occasionally show with strong emotions.

Sunflowers: Loyalty, Honesty, and Adoration. They can also symbolize a want for happiness or stronger commitments/connections as the flowers reach towards the sun.

Liliths is Jasmine

Jasmine: These flowers have many meanings. Purity, feminine powers, sensuality, modesty, hospitality, community, inspiration, and spiritual ascension being some of them.

Kikimoras is Red Tulips

Red Tulips: They Represent passionate and fiery love. Also often seen as obsessive deep or true love. They can be weeds as well.

Raine is Red Roses (R.I.P Eda)

Red Roses: Also seen as a flower that represents passionate love they can also be a sign of wanting deeper commitment. Often thrown onto stage after a performance they express love, gratitude and appreciation to performing artists.

Orange Poppies: Wild and free, orange poppies represent health and regeneration.

Soem Eberwolf headcanonc plz? Doesn't matter how cute they sound

This is apart of my send in a character and I'll give them random headcannons ask 4-7 headcannons on average. These can be platonic, romantic, or just fun/silly

...

If you're friends with Eber all your friends are now Ebers friends by association. EberWolf has a pack mentality and anyone close to them is considered a pack member which means they are ride or die. This however, also means all of EberWolfs friends (Darius) are your pack members and Eber will expect you to get along. They will sit and watch you interact and if either of you are being rude or standoffish they will nip you to get you to play nice.

EberWolf is very physical and shows their love through gentle touch but also providing gifts. Their core instincts as part beast make them a very devoted provider and they give you trinkets they found for you after a mission or walk in the woods. As a craftsman they also make you a lot of things and are very happy when they see you wearing or using them.

EberWolf is very good at braiding ropes. Either for traps to catch beasts or decoration they fiddle with rope often and they love to make you bracelets or necklaces with their braiding skills. They enjoy how their work comes out and are very proud of this skill. If you ever show any interest in it they will gladly teach you so you can braid or weave together.

They scent you a lot. Either through nuzzling you, rubbing against your legs, rolling in your clothes, pawing at you so you hold them, perching on your shoulder or head, or giving kisses. As a beast they want their smell on you and if you get someone else's smell on you they have a habit of rubbing themselves all over you to fix it. This can be platonic or romantic, marking you with their scent is a way to tell others your part of their pack and they care about you.

They get the Zoomies quite often and it can be hard to calm them down when they get them. It's best to either join them in their zoomy activities (running or wrestling) or pick them up and softly play with their hair. Getting a brush and just gently running the brush through their hair will have them a limp purring mess in no time.

now neither of you had necessarily planned for this to happen — like, at all

yes you’d had the conversation about kids when you first started dating because you wanted to make sure you were on the same page

because being young didn’t mean that you weren’t dating to stay together

so you both knew that you wanted a kid, eventually, and you were both at a point in your lives where it was stable for the first time ever

you’d just moved in to your first family home, one on the titan’s stomach so you had a wonderful garden

hunter was making excellent money as a palisman carver and you’d even started growing your own palistrum saplings in a little nursery at home

magic was just starting to stabilise after the whole belos situation

and you’d settled well into your job as a teacher at eda’s wild magic university

it was the perfect time and it… well

it just happened

you’d started feeling a bit unwell and your cycle was late and you were starting to feel a little bit bloated and hunter was worrying himself sick

so you went off to a checkup at the new hospital, perfectly calm and sure nothing would happen

and then you got the news

you were like actually really pregnant

neither of you knew how to react, staying silent and frozen for a few beats, before you finally realised what had just happened

and you just started grinning and celebrating and hunter picked you up and spun you around in a circle as you giggled and repeated the news

you were going to be parents

you were going to have a baby

like for real

and you couldn’t wait

you’re given a few potions to take for your nausea and your doctor insists you stop by for regular appointments since your pregnancy is a very new phenomenon — hunter being a grimwalker, and all

and that was when the next chapter of your lives together officially began

you gathered everyone at your home under the guise of a housewarming party to deliver the news and everyone was thrilled for you

king made a joke about being your ‘practise baby’

luz and amity were crying and amity was just barely holding back her girlfriend from tackling you

willow was grinning broadly as she pulled you both into a hug and said she was so insanely happy for you

(as well as touching your stomach and very sternly telling your baby to behave and stop making you ill)

gus used his illusions to pull together a whole celebration out of thin air and said how excited he was to be an uncle

eda slapped hunter on the back and told him he’d done good

lilith was trying to hold back her tears as she gave you both a hug and congratulated you

camilla kissed you on the cheek and gave hunter a kiss and said something about how all of her babies growing up

(she said something similar at luz and amity’s wedding a few years ago)

and darius and eberwolf were just sticking with hunter and joking with him about finally tying you down — darius tried to hide how teary-eyed he was behind a remark about finally getting to be a grandparent

which made hunter cry

but yeah you all made a day of it and you couldn’t ask for a better support system of aunts and uncles and grandparents for you baby to have in their life

even if willow and eda were getting really into the idea of teaching them to play grudgby and flyer derby…

as your pregnancy progressed your sickness gradually went away and hunter started to make a point of sitting down and talking to your bump every night

like you’ll be laying in bed, comfy as can be, and he’ll sit down beside you and just place his hand over your bump as he talks in this loving voice to your baby

he talks about his day, how he grew up, and how he’s changed

he tells them to behave and stop giving you heartburn and kicking your bladder

he promises that he’ll never make them feel unloved or unwanted — that they’ll never doubt themselves for even a second of their life

and you cry and tell him he’s gonna be the best dad

and he says that he knows he will because he’s got you by his side

and you spend the rest of your pregnancy prepping the nursery and clothes and crying over how small baby shoes are and being more in love with your boyfriend than ever

you can’t wait to start a family with him — and by the size of your bump you won’t have to wait much longer
