Camila as your mother

Camila is a wonderful mother, no question. She loves all her children equally, and sees many children as her own. She’s supporting of you throughout everything. All your hardships she’s right there by your side, helping you through them. She’s supportive of any lover you bring home, never judging unless she truly feels they are a threat (even then, her judgement is reasonable and she would still trust you, whilst warning you of her concerns and telling you why she may have those concerns). Camila is physically affectionate with her children, but is patient with you if you are not used to said affection, or don’t know what to do with this kinda affection. She will gladly hug you tightly while you awkwardly wrap your arms around her. Camila listens to your problems and provides good advice on how to help. She spends as much time with you and the rest of her kids as much as possible. Because of Luz being separated from her, she wants to spend as much time with all of her kids as much as possible and tries extra hard to be a good, loving mother. She wants you to feel loved and welcomed. She is protective of you, but to an extent that isn’t unreasonable and overly protective. She tries hard for you and she’s very open minded. She’s always proud of you, anything you do makes her so happy and you bet that around other adults she’s bragging about you and her other children. Also Camila like . Such a soft mom . You’d have to be a bad child for her to ever get mad at you and punish you for anything. Believes in you and thinks only the best of you. She loves to remind you as often as possible she loves you. Often she likes going shopping at the mall with you and having some bonding time with you. She makes the effort to have one on one bonding with all her kids.

There is a lot of ground to cover here and a lot of characters to include. So I’ve just written some short blurbs for their reactions to this scenario.

Amity Blight

she is so immensely proud of you and she isn’t shy about showing it. she congratulates you for getting as far as you have and spends the day with you being as sappy and affectionate as you might expect from her. offers to bake you a fairy pie to celebrate all of the hardships you’ve kicked in the butt, but i wouldn’t recommend accepting her offer (she isn’t the best baker).

Boscha

she’ll pull you into a tight hug and give you a kiss on the cheek as she congratulates you for getting this far. she’ll talk about how proud she is and how she knew you’d be able to kick your habit in the ass this well because you’re her partner so of course you can do anything and everything. and it’s a bit dramatic of a speech but the message is clear — and afterwards she’ll invite you out for dinner to celebrate properly. her treat.

Camila Noceda

she isn’t necessarily over the top about it but she does sit you down and express how proud she is of how far you’ve come. she’ll hug you and give you a kiss on the cheek and hold your hands as she talks — even tearing up at points. she’s just so very proud of you, that’s all.

Edalyn Clawthorne

whilst eda is generally very chill, she’s not shy to celebrate milestones like this because she knows just how difficult it is to break habits like this. she’ll go and get you your favourite food and will spend the day celebrating with you — affection, validation and all.

Emira Blight

gives you the biggest grin you’ve ever seen and absolutely smothers your face with kisses — every so often whispering a congrats or well done or another similar sentiment. she says she knew you could do it as she pulls you into a tight hug before she asks what you want to do to celebrate properly.

Lilith Clawthorne

has an initially very over the top reaction (grinning, gleeful shrieking, clapping her hands and so on) before she collects herself and reaches out to grasp your hands and congratulates you. she says how proud she is with such earnestness in her voice that you’ll end up tearing up, which makes her tear up and you just end up spending the day cuddling and being close.

Luz Noceda

very much so over the top in her celebration of this milestone with you. if you let her, she’ll even plan a party with close friends and plenty of your favourite foods. she tears up when she congratulates you and remembers how far you’ve come; she knows how difficult it is and she just wants to make sure that you know how proud she is.

Odalia Blight

she’s very curt with her reaction to this, as she is with most things, but she does show a genuine smile as she congratulates you on your milestone. she wishes you a strong recovery and such, but she isn’t particularly sentimental in how she does it — not that she doesn��t care (she does!), it’s just not in her nature to be particularly emotional.

Terra Snapdragon

she’s generally quite dismissive but with this she does take the time to say ‘well done’ in her own way. she recognises that you’ve struggled quite a lot to get to such a milestone and she can always appreciate hard work, however that may manifest. so she is proud of you for getting this far, she’s just terrible at showing it.

Vee Noceda

she got very close to self harming in the past, so she understands the place that you’ve been recovering from. this makes her appreciate your milestone and achievement that much more and she celebrates accordingly. she’ll bake you a small cake and you can spend the day in looking at pictures and talking and reminiscing and just being close as you could want. she’s also very honest about how proud she is, tearing up before she even finishes what she’s saying.

Viney

when you tell her that you’ve hit a new milestone she’ll get the biggest smile on her face and will practically tackle-hug you. she’ll say a lot of things along the lines of ‘well done babe!’ and ‘you’ve got this!’ and ‘you’re kicking this thing in the butt!’. she’s excited and loud and proud about your accomplishment but she does mean well haha.

Willow Park

celebrates with you in a very intimate and private way, talking to you genuinely about how overwhelmingly proud she is of you for getting this far. she says that she’ll stick by you for as long as you need her and that you’ve got this in the bag — and well done. may also give you a plant to celebrate, depending on how good you are at tending to them.

In the begging, everything was a little bit awkward. Sweet, but awkward. Of course, that is to be expected when someone first starts dating, and three people at that! But alas, you all worked through all of the nervousness and became even closer than before!

Sometimes, being in a relationship with three people can be a bit chaotic, but luckily, you’re all masters of talking things out. Trust is one of the most important things in a relationship you know!

Luz and Amity has sort of a “sun and moon” thing going on, with you being their eclipse to balance it all out. Perfect relationship in every way!

When it comes to comfort, these girls are the best! First of all, they are both such good listeners and they give the best advice when you need it. Although, sometimes people don’t really want advice or logic when their feeling blue, and in that case, you’re girlfriends are ready with as much cuddles and words of affirmation as you need! Supportive gfs <3

Speaking of cuddles, Luz and Amity both give such good hugs, their heavenly fr. Even though Amity can sometimes be a bit awkward about it (her body just goes stiff as a board), it’s always so wholesome and sweet. Usually, Luz is the big spoon with either you or Amity in the middle, or you guys are all just huddled up in one big messy pile. Eda and King always finds it so adorable whenever you guys fall asleep together on the couch, and you can trust that they take a bunch of pictures too.

Amity often gets really flustered around you and Luz, which usually results in a lot of teasing. Her tomato face can just be too cute sometimes, and trust me, you get to se it A LOT!

Luz however doesn’t get flustered as much as Amity, but it’s still easy to get a stunned expression and red tinted cheeks out of her. You just gotta know what to say.

Now, when it comes to the rest of the gang, they all support you guys so much! They think it’s so cool that you guys have a relationship, and even though they tease you about it from time to time (especially Eda, while Hunter mostly gets annoyed from all your lovey dovey stuff), they truly think that what you guys have is the sweetest thing ever. Oh and Hooty is your biggest fangirl, I’m not even joking.

Luz and Amity can be protective AF! Don’t get me wrong, they don’t really go around and get jealous of everything and stuff, but if anyone, witch or human, says anything to upset their girl, they’re really gonna get it.

Kisses with these two are usually fast and sweet.

Luz normally just goes in for a quick peck before turning away with pink tinted cheeks and a small smile, acting like nothing happened.

Amity on the other hand looks at you a bit before slowly leaning in. Afterward, she quickly retrieves, face completely burning up and her eyes as wide as plates. (Sort of like when she kissed Luz’s cheek in that one episode)

These girls are absolute suckers for hugs n’ kisses, and especially when they’re from you~

You guys are the most dorky couple EVER! Your all so silly, it’s adorable honestly.

Luz definitely loves picking her two girls up. She might say she has weak nerd arms, but we’ve all seen that that’s not true. There has been moments when she just comes up behind you, and with a little “aaand scoop!” she simply swipes you off of the ground while giggling.

I feel like you all give off kinda like a summerly girl in red vibe.

You and your girlfriends DEFINITELY have sleepovers and Azura movie nights! (I also said this in my Amity fic, haha)

Praise is one of the main factors of your relationship. These girl got TRAUMA and since you probably also got some as well (taken in perspective that the whole cast of this show have and does go through a lot), praise and words of affirmation/encouragement is super important to them.

When you got sent to the human realm, it was a hard time for everyone, but with the love and support from each other, you all managed to make the best of it and have a wonderful time together.

Camilla absolutely loves you and Amity so much, she is such a sweetheart!!

After some quality time spent in the human realm, you and the others, along with Camilla, finally managed to return to the Boiling Isles. And as we all know, even more challenges were lying ahead.

When things seemed dark, you, Luz and Amity always stuck together, and supported each other the whole way, never ever letting you or each other feel like they were alone in this.

In the end, you all helped each other so much with developing as a person! With all of the love and encouragement, everything turned out just fine, and these girls couldn’t be happier! Ever since this whole crazy adventure started, you’ve all gotten so much closer together, and really formed a special bond. To be able to be in a relationship with you like this is the best things to have happened to either Luz or Amity, and they never want to let that go in the hopes to someday be able to put a ring on it.

We started walking and they started telling the whole story since the draining spell I didn't listen half because it was boring I just went back when he said the end

We had to hide from the blue star and the guy signaled when we could move forward

We went to the door and she said

" we redecorating these past few months! So let me welcome you to " She stopped talking and opened the door " new hexside! " they gasped, You've never been to hexside so you just watched seeing children free but not free at the same time

" this does not smell great " a guy said

" heads up " A child said shooting a ball of fire making us go down

We went to the cafeteria where people were advertising their products and a nursery where the kids were trying to hint to others how to destroy the blue stars, We stopped at the principal statue

" this is a statue of principal bump who risked his life four ours " he said in an emotional voice but the statue wasn't very emotional

" it's so nice to see teachers getting the respect they deserve, I think "

" You guys really liked your director huh " You said looking at the statue

We started walking towards the gym seeing a tall guy talking to the girl with pink hair, on the side was a Lady with white hair and red skin and on the other was a tall and strong person, seemed to remember a person

" oh well, if we had a group to organize the flyers can keep track of perishables and that way we won't have to fight over food anymore " he said awkwardly

" hmm... " She was thinking when the red ball went to talk to her

" president if I can comment..- "

" president?! " Luz said interrupting the red ball

" this would take valuable resources away from your guard if you don't want to be collected like the other do you? "

" good point mike, next! " The girl in pink said making the guy leave with a disappointed face and sigh

" oh my gosh, it's you guys! "

" did she consider any of our ideas? "

" no uh... Sorry I gota make sure the kindergartens aren't hunting down lockers again, it was a bloodbath last time, so glad you're alive hehe " He said leaving awkwardly

" bocha, we found...- " He was stopped by the red ball

When they realized we were already out of the gym

" what just happened?! " Luz asked confused about what just happened

" it's been like this ever since Miki and rouka appeared we wanted to fix things here but every time we suggest something, Miki threatens to trow people to the detention pit"

" The what?! "

" 100% Miki is using bocha for her personal desires, This is very noticeable but she still doesn't understand it I don't know how " You said Willow walked over to you and put her hand on your shoulder

" what are we going to do to get to the archives? " willow asked

" I don't know how to get to the archives, but... We maybe can get closer "

" like the titan head, That would be a smart plan yeah " You said putting your hand on your chin

" Exactly! We just need the spell! " Luz said taking your hand

Gus watched to see if the hall was clear of people and was free to open the door with magic.

" very good,there are no moors on the coast! " Gus said making the guy open open the walls to the door

" this is where me and Jerboa have been trying to make plans to make hexside more livable "

Willow went to look through the photos when she found pictures of her and her dads when she was little, She was going to let out a few tears but stopped herself from doing so " keep it in, keep it in- ow! " she found a picture of hunter when he had Flapjack, he was smiling holding Flapjack, She looked at Hunter who was sighing his hair with an upset face

She also found a picture of you and your friend when you two were younger " aww " She said seeing you happy " They must miss him a lot... " She said looking at you seing that you were looking at what Luz was doing, she took these two photos and kept them

" plans to turn the gym into a common room? Hours for rotating on-call shifts? Is that a menu using vegetables from the plant room?! Matt thonomule, you really are a decent leader!" Gus said amazed

" have you had any doubts? " Matt said with cocky charm

" yes. Many many doubts "

" all right, time to go back on a walk down memory lane. I saw Phillip once, I mean, belos, using a glyph to transport himself to the skull but, it could take time to find out "

" remember Luz, no tricks, no ideas, no plans and-

Definitely no gimmicks " willow and Luz said at the same time

" I'll assume those are clean " Camila said

" It's better to assume yea " You said agreeing with camila

" yea " luz spoke, barely able to hear herself

" I think we found it! " Willow said taking the memory picture of Luz head

" finally. Let's move again " Hunter said walking forward stopping when he heard willow's voice

" before we go, look what I found " Willow said giving the photo to hunter

Hunter saw the picture and his eyes got softe

" we will all miss Flapjack, but we know that he loved you the most "

Just so you know, we don't care who you're supposed to be because you are one of us now. Never forget that " Willow said trying to make hunter smile but only saw almost tears in his eyes

" hunter, are you okay? " Light asked worried

" I... Don know..." Hunter said making Willow feel guilty

" oh um... I'm.... I'm sorry. I didn't want to make things worse " She said this without realizing it making herbs cling to her boots but quickly undoing it as she started to walk

" I... I'll be right back " Willow said leaving the room

" I guess this is my fault too " Gus said looking away to not look into hunter's eyes

" I knew you were a grimwalker since the day of unit. I was waiting for you to bring up yourself but... I... I don't know, maybe if I wasn't so afraid none of us would be right here

" Gus I - " Hunter said being cut by gus

You stared, not knowing what to do, until Luz asked you a question.

" Yes, it was quite obvious, he saw Belos' memories so he probably saw those too, I went to talk to him on the second day in the human world he said not to tell anyone, I asked him if he wanted to vent what he wanted but he said it wasn't necessary and that he can keep it all, I didn't know what to say so I just said ok " You said a bit clumsy and guilty

" It wasn't your fault you just did what you thought was right hijo" Camila said giving you a hug, you didn't know what to do so you just stood there

" So you know all Belos' memories? " Luz asked

" No, not yet, only Gus knows now, but I'll find out after all I'm a good detective " You said making luz give a mini laugh, your pasliman was on your shoulder just watching everything

When you arrived Willow gave you a big hug

You heard kikimora behind you and you let go of the hug

" Finally the girl with pink hair said something true " You said making Willow laugh a little bit

They started shooting fireballs and amity came down

Luz went to do the spell and pasliman started to move and made her fly

" I can't tell what you're gonna be but, thanks little friend! " She said flying with the staff

" this is my empire now! You'll have to obey me! " She cast the spell in yours direction but Luz was quick and did the spell and you guys went to the titan's head

" we ... We did it! " Gus said

You opened your eyes and saw you were there, excitement was in your eyes

" oh my, gosh! I can't believe that actually worked! " Willow said pulling amity and walking excitedly

" oh ohohoho we certainly beamus up O'Bailey? " Camila said making Gus and Hunter gasp

" bemus up! Bemus up! Bemus up! (I don't know how to write it, it's not written there as they say)

You were happy to see your boyfriend and girlfriend happy again, you then notice what the Luz was doing

Luz was grabbing her staff seeing that it is starting to open

" guys? " Luz said making everyone go around her to see the staff

" come meet my pasliman " Luz said making everyone circle around her

" what kind of magical creature will it be? " Camila asked " a dragon? "

" a bird? "

" you were close " the creature started to come out of the fog and started shape shifting into different animals

" it's a shapeshifter snake! Her name is string bean.. and she is perfect! " She started to pass us and your palismans started to follow her and they all went to Camila

Hunter was just watching when he felt a hand on his hand.

" thanks for what you said back there, you mean a lot to me too " They blushed and hunter started to cry

" cool, happy to help. "

Willow saw you in front and pulled you into a hug with hunter

" Don't think you're left out Y/n! " She said giving you a kiss on the cheek, you were amazed, you couldn't speak

" I... I " It was the only thing you could say equal to nothing

She looked into your eyes with adoration in her eyes hunter did the same

" oh! I almost forgot! I found a picture of you and him on the floor, it must have fallen when you were walking " She said giving the picture you looked at the picture first and you heard her talking

" we know you don't talk about him much in front of us but we can feel that you miss him a lot " Hunter said letting Willow continue

" we also know we can never replace him but if you need anything i hope we can help like he did " Willow said wiping the tears from your eyes

" t-thank you guys, thank you alot " You took a breath and looked again at the picture " This was the only photo I managed to capture our friendship the rest is just written and drawn " You said putting the photo in your bag next to the book " You guys really did a lot for me these months, I'm glad I'm your partner, one of my best happiness in life now " You said that with excitement in your eyes, and they also have a few tears in their eyes from you saying that.

Amity called willow she had to go but first she gave you both a kiss and went to amity

Leaving hunter with the opportunity to ask what he wanted

" Now are you going to say what you wanted to ask? " He asked looking into your eyes

" Well I don't know if you need it now, after all you already have the Flapjack magic now " you said

" Yea he looks like he likes you what do you think? " You asked, hunter was thinking and said

" yea, I stay with him, he seems to like me a lot and he seems to be powerful, thanks y/n " Hunter said giving you a hug that took a few moments to let go, Those moments seemed happy, too happy

Little did they know that the collector was planning on them.

A Rocky Start || Hunter x Reader

Being friends with Luz was easy. Being a junior in high school? Less so. But, life goes on, and on, and on. Much to the dismay of, {First name, Last name}. A remarkably average student at, Gravesfeild highschool. 

First meeting, Luz, was a bit of a disaster. Something she admitted to more than a handful of times. {Your name} had been running a barely functioning book club for all of their sophomore year. Which consisted of them reading, alone, in an abandoned stairwell. Until Luz came along. The two met during the club fair, where everyone got together and tried to convince middle schoolers to join their club. Luz was originally drawn in by, The Good Witch Azura, her favorite book placed front and center on the poorly decorated club booth table.

Their booth was comically tiny compared to the rest of the clubs. Tucked away in the only empty space they were able to find. Luz found them, head thrown back and a half-read book slung over their face. She was able to spot the book from across the cafeteria and immediately made a B-line straight to their booth. Slamming her hands down on the rickety table scaring the other kid half to death. {Your name} awoke with a jump, flailing to catch the book previously laid over their eyes. Startled, they seemed to gawk at Luz. Half because, holy shit, that was intense, and half because she was astounded that someone wanted to join their club. Luz seemed to think her behavior was perfectly normal. 

"I want to join your club!"

Luz, practically beamed up at her, shouting. {Your name} seemed to still be waking up, running a hand over their face with the best smile they could offer. Gently, they picked up the sign-up sheet, handing it over to Luz. She squealed and twirled in place, hugging the clipboard close to their chest. Sloppily, the girl scribbled down her name in a sparkily pink gel pen she pulled out of seemingly, nowhere. 

"Welcome to the club..."

Glancing down at the sheet, for a moment, smiling at the poorly drawn cat next to the girl's name. 

"Luz Noceda!" 

Smiling they stick out their hand loosely for the younger girl to take. She did, very enthusiastically. Grabbing their hand with both of hers and shaking wildly. The biggest smile crossed her face. Eventually, Luz let go. She gasped suddenly, as if remembering something extremely urgent, and threw her bag to the floor. She rummaged around in it for a while, pulling random various objects out to set them aside. Eventually, she pulls out a handful of sparklers. The tired-looking club member's eyes went wide their brows drew in confusion. 

"Okay, I'm lost." 

They spoke while Luz was still rummaging through her bag for something else. Confused, they leaned over the table, seeing Luz squatted on the ground, a kazoo between her lips, desperately trying to light sparklers using friction. Oh no, Seemed to be the only thought running through their head as the sparklers came to life. Luz, on the other hand, seemed to be ecstatic. Loudly and horribly, playing the kazoo while dancing with the sparklers. There was one part of the dance where Luz dropped down to the floor as a dramatic ending. Well, the sparklers edged just a touch too close to the tablecloth decorating the booth. 

In shock, the two seemed to gawk at the fire wide-eyed. Until the elder rushed, trying to toss all the books off the table before they could fuel the fire. Luz resorted to swatting the fire with her hoodie, screaming at it. 

"Back down, fire! You will not best me!" 

Luz was pulled away from the fire by one of the teachers, another breaking the glass to the fire alarm, sending a shower of water through the cafeteria. Recalling the fond memory {Your name} hadn't realized they had been doodling the event until the drawing had begun to leak into their notes. Stifling a chuckle while the teacher lectures, they rip the doodle out of the book and stuff it into their pocket. The bell cuts the teacher short, and everyone scrambles to pack up. 

Impatiently, the older teen waits for Luz. Leaned up against their light green PT Cruiser; what a loser. Eyes scanning the crowd for their freshmen, hoping they haven't gotten into trouble again. Anxiously, their foot begins to tap, wondering why Luz could be so late. School ended almost fifteen minutes ago... Just about to head out to look for their younger friend she comes rounding the corner, screaming. 

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" 

Running up they all but collapse onto their older friend, heaving between words. On instinct, they embrace Luz, patting her head. 

"It's alright, whatever it is, we can talk about it inside my car. It's hot as balls out here." 

Luz nods before hopping into the green car, her friend joining shortly after with a relieved sigh. Luz watches as they fiddle with the stereo, for a moment, before turning their attention to her. Feeling, suddenly embarrassed, Luz curls up, hugging her bag close to her chest. She speaks lightly and rubs the back of her neck nervously as she does so. 

"Some kid tried to take my book..."

Luz was cut short by her friend's flabbergasted expression. Their mouth hung agape, ready and willing to march back to the school and get that book. Anger quickly took over after that. This wasn't a one-time thing, Luz had been picked on all year and the school wasn't doing a damn thing about it. 

"Is this the same guy who poured milk all over your sketchbook?" 

Luz nodded but moved on quickly, a mischievous smile covering her features. 

"I punched him!"

She spoke almost like she couldn't believe she'd done it. {Your name}, on the other hand, laughed joyfully, happy the jerk got some justice, and that Luz was standing up for herself. 

"You punched him?! Oh man, that's awesome. I wish I had your gut's kid. Any teacher's around?" 

Luz smiled as her friend shoved her playfully but blanched at their question. Laying her head on the window solemnly. She spoke with dread like another detention would end her life.

"Uh, not a teacher... but some of his friends. They all ran off screaming about how much trouble I'm gonna be in. Mama is gonna be furious when she gets the call!" 

{Your name} couldn't help but feel for their little friend. She really tried, and a lot of her projects were cool! Just, not conventional... a lot of her projects ended up with her being picked on. Luckily, her mom was probably the most kind person they had ever met. Always willing to take them in whenever things tended to get rocky at home. The least they could do for Mrs. Noceda was watch out for Luz. 

"It'll be okay, Luz. Let's get some slushies before heading back. Besides, what's one more detention?"

"Suspension?! A fight?! This must be a misunderstanding... Luz, wouldn't do that, not without cause!" 

Okay, so it was a bit more than a detention. The two teens stood in the doorway, slushies in hand, just catching the end of the conversation. They looked at each other, then at the kitchen, and then back to each other. Silently, they crept over to the kitchen, listening in. 

"Him? We have filed report after report about him! What are you doing to protect my daughter? Nothing more you can do?!"

With a frustrated groan, Mrs. Noceda hangs up tossing her phone onto the counter. She sighs, it's easy to tell she has mixed feelings about the subject. Luz inches over, head down like a kicked puppy. The guilt of her actions set in. 

"Mama?"

Mrs. Noceda turns and embraces her daughter. Pulling her close and patting the back of her head lightly. The brunette's eyes widen, confused at her mother's sudden reaction. 

"I'm so proud of you for standing up for yourself, mija, but violence is not a good habit to rely on."

Noticing the older teen in the doorway she waves them over, embracing both of them. Eventually, she pulled back, smiling at them. 

"My troublemakers, what will I ever do with you two?" 

She ruffled Luz's hair and walks away, asking if tamales are good for dinner. After having the approval of the teens she starts cooking. A new crime-drama tv show playing on her tablet. 

Luz leads her friend to the living room. Tossing the empty slush cups on her way. The two laze on the couch for a bit, scrolling through movies before Luz decides on the same movie for the tenth time this week.

Times like these with Luz and her mom were the moments that kept them sane. Things at home weren't the most stable. So, they would spend late nights here and then sneak back into the shitty trailer the school liked to think was their home. Nights there were quiet now. Lonely.

Mrs. Noceda knew all she needed to; she had decided long ago that they were family in her eyes. Treating them as her own. She had asked a while ago to keep some clothes here for them. Just in case, she said. For emergencies. 

An offering, a hand begging to be taken, a way out. One that Mrs. Noceda knew, deep down, wouldn't be taken anytime soon.

Despite calling him dad he was far from being a parent. At this point, he seemed to be more of a husk than a human, let alone a father. Only leaving the house to go to the bar or the store. Surviving off the little retirement he got. Sometimes they would come home and find him, dazed, staring blankly at whatever show was on; and they would scream, standing in front of the tv, crying for their dad. Other times they would try to feed him. "Please, I haven't seen you eat in weeks, please. Just eat something. I'm sorry for yelling." Pleading never went far; screaming didn't either. Never realizing they were crying until the hot tears salted their tongue. Sometimes, they would just sit there with him. Pretending they were a normal family, watching tv over dinner. 

They could never pretend for long. 

Always ending up holed in their room. 

Always staring blankly at the walls.

Always alone. 

Well, 

almost always. 

"{Your name}? {Your name}? You still in there?" 

Zoning back into the world around them they were met with Luz waving her hands franticly in front of their face. They were also met with the soft couch against their back, and the color of the walls, and the warmth of the house, and the smell of freshly cooked tamales. 

"Dinner is ready! Mama has been calling for us." 

Dragging a hand down their face groggily, they stand, grabbing at the couch for support. They trail lazily behind Luz, following her to the dining table. The food smelled amazing, fresh, and warm. They stared at the food, their appetite seemingly leached out of their body. The food seemed to stare back. Luz, on the other hand, was already beginning to dig in. A soft hum of approval at the familiar taste of her mom's cooking. 

Mrs. Noceda seemed to watch the older teen, a conflicted glint in her eyes. They still hadn't touched the food, stirring their portion of rice around with a troubled look. Mrs. Noceda knew that look, she had seen it before. Eventually, she was relieved to watch the kid take a bite of food. Smiling softly as their eyes lit up, ever so slightly. 

"So, it's the weekend. Why don't you spend the night?"

Mrs. Noceda offered politely, and Luz immediately latched onto the idea. Grabbing onto her friend's arm, agreeing with her mom, practiced puppy dog eyes silently begging them to stay. 

"Yes! Yes! Please? It's the weekend and you haven't slept over in so long!"

It was hard to say no to Luz and she had a point. It had been a while since the two of you had a sleepover. Plus, Luz just looked so happy. How could they say no? 

"Alright, alright, I'll stay! Just stop staring at me like that."

They jokingly pushed Luz away, coving her unsettlingly accurate puppy dog eyes. Luz jumped out of her chair excitedly, pulling her friend away by the arm. 

"Yes! We have to go set up! Nooooow. Come on, come on, come on!"

Laughing at Luz's antics, she pulled you away as you thanked Mrs. Noceda. Who was just happy to see you staying for once. Luz shoved some clothes into her closet messily before running out of her room. She came running back in, a deflated air mattress slung over her shoulder. Luz had denied any offer of help, insisting to set up for her esteemed guest. 

She even tossed a stuffed animal on the bed, "In case you get lonely", in her words.                                                                                  

Sleep that night came easy; tangled in soft blankets with a little fish hugged close. The stars told stories as they drifted off. Sleeping well for the first time in a while.

I live for these types of headcannons/fics, thanks for the excuse to write one 😊😉 (In hindsight after writing, I got way too carried away, hope you don’t mind the length bestie. 😀🤌)

-Amity didn’t have a lot of people in her life she loved.

-Aside from her very begrudged affection for her older siblings, you were the only person she trusted, sure she could talk to her fake friends some things but you were the person she felt like she could be truly herself around.

-So naturally, she was quite protective of you, wanting to keep her special person safe and happy.

-I’d be a normal day at hexside, you weren’t in the abomination track so you and your girlfriend had to share quick moments in the halls in between classes.

-Amity is always reluctant to leave you alone but unfortunately school is homophobic and want’s to seperate you from your beautiful girl, but don’t worry, you plague most of her thoughts in classes ;)

-Sharing a final small smooch, you both rush of to your respective classes when the ear splitting scream of the bell finally goes off.

-Plopping down in your seat, you notice a unfamiliar girl sitting next to you, she’s tall, with pale skin and dark brown hair, her ears are more pointed and longer than Amity’s and her eyes are a shocking shade of dark blue.

-She gives you a wide smile, but something about it seems almost.. predatory, you weren’t the type to freeze like prey but something about those eyes pinned you in place.

-“Hey there, pretty, what’s your name?” Her voice was smooth and deep, and she extends a perfectly manicured hand towards you.

-Normally in situations like this, you’d be polite but mention your lovely woman but the words get stuck in your throat and you can manage a stuttered, “Y-Y/N.” Before your hands unstick and you shake hers awkwardly.

-The way her nails dug into your flesh when she gripped your hand back just rubbed you the wrong way, your gut turning in a sickness-inducing way when you realise her piercing gaze hasn’t left your face, “Amella.” she responded.

-Shaking off the interaction once the teacher calls attention to himself, you try your hardest to focus on the lesson but the feeling of her heavy gaze on your face lingers, but every time you glance her way you don’t see her looking at you, weird.

-That god forsaken scream of the bell pulled you out of your thoughts and you quickly gathered your books, eager to see your sweetheart again.

-You hurried to your locker and started putting your books away, you knew Amity would be a little late since her test score would be handed back to her and the profesor always pulled her aside to congratulate her for the high score, the thought filled you with pride.

-Just as the lockers mouth closed with your books and papers stuffed safely inside you feel a chill go up your spine, the presence of another person behind you.

-You turn around right as Amella rests her arm against the locker right above your head, “Hey, Y/N.” The way she purred your name made ice settle low in your stomach and a quick glance around confirmed no other students around.

-“Uh- Hey there, Girl.” The nickname was unfamiliar on your lips but you were too distracted by the red alarms blaring in your head when she smiled down at you, red lips framing teeth that were almost too sharp.

-She leaned closer and you instinctually started to squirm away, “Uhm, I’m suppose to meet my friend in a few minutes…” You make another effort to shimmy out from underneath her but those hands, who’s nails seem much sharper than before grip your wrist.

-“I’m sure they can wait a few minutes more.” The ice in your stomach spikes in panic when she pulls you closer, and you can’t help the pure fear that leaks into your eyes until you hear a familiar voice call your name.

-Your lovely girl, Amity stands their in shock, at first she seems hurt but with a quick glance at your face that clearly shows discomfort makes her swiftly step forward.

-Placing a hard hand on Amella’s shoulder, she gives her a withering look, “I need to speak to my girlfriend.”

-Amella hesitates for a second before a smirk slips onto her face, “Relax, Blight, just having a conversation with my friend.” When she finally steps away I feel like I can breathe again.

-She walks away with a quick, “She’s such a delight, it’d be rude to not share.” Thrown over her shoulder.

-Silence rings throughout the halls and I turn towards Amity, who is staring at the spot she was before she disappeared, an emotion I haven’t seen before burning in her yellow eyes.

-“Amity.” I hesitantly cup her cheeks and she turns towards me, I open to my mouth to try and explain before her lips crush into mine.

-I let out a “hmph!” Sound before kissing her back, she pulls away far too soon and starts checking me over, “Are you okay? Did she hurt you?”

-Laughing a little, you shake your head no and rub your nose against her, “She didn’t, thanks to you.”

-It was a week before another incident happened.

-You we’re hyped for your Saturday date at the market and the picnic you had planned after, and put on a cute outfit before rushing off to the bustling street.

-you’d meet up and spend the day holding hands and doing couple things that the single author wouldn’t know, :’).

-After a bit though, Amity would spot a rotten candy stall and insist on getting you some, and who doesn’t love rotten, cavity inducing fluff so you agreed, going to set up the blanket.

-You sit down and lean back against the tree you’d spotted, already having spread out the food you both had bought, watching your purple haired goddess wait in line.

-Just as you start relaxing, you feel someone sit down gracefully next to you and the un welcomed chill that followed notified you immediately on who it was.

-Amella lounged against the blanket and smiled at you, “Hey there, gorgeous, beautiful day isn’t it?” She spoke in a flirty, husky tone.

-Remembering the incident from the other week, you scooched backwards inconspicuously and glanced towards your girlfriend, who was distracted putting in her order.

-“Uh hey, what are you doing here?” Your tone came out shakier than you thought it would, and she casually placed a hand on your thigh as she answered, “Just came here for the market, but I found something a lot better.” She winked.

-I tensed under her hand and smiled awkwardly, trying to move further away from her but those damn piercing blue eyes made you pause, like a outer force was holding you still.

-She rubbed a her thumb against your leg and continued to smirk at you, her eyes going a bit heavy lidded before she spoke again, “I don’t see your little friend, sorry girlfriend.” She mocked the way Amity spoke to her that moment in the halls,

-Her mention of your girlfriend broke you out of the trance like state her gaze had out you in, and you glance at the rotten candy stand.

-Amity was staring at you both, her hands gripping the cones so hard I’m surprised they don’t crush under them, her eyes are locked onto the point of connection between us and I see her grit her teeth.

-Jealousy burns like a bonfire in her eyes, her pupils shrunken tiny in anger as her eyes stay in a wide, shock like state.

-The air almost gets knocked out your lungs when those eyes, as piercing as Amella’s, slide onto you.

-She struts over towards the blanket, dropping the rotten candy on the floor where bugs eagerly skirt towards it.

-Amella noticed your staring and disinterestedly glanced at what you were looking at, and you felt her, why are they so damn sharp suddenly, nails dig painfully into your thigh.

-“What do you think you’re doing?” The amount of venom in Amity’s voice can rival even the deadliest snake, her glare sends shivers down your spine even if it wasn’t directed towards you.

-She smiled mockingly at Amity, something in her eyes malicious and even dangerous, “Just enjoying the lovely sun, oh, and your lovely little friend here.”

-That seems to set Amity off, she grits her teeth and leans in close to Amella who isn’t smart enough to back down.

-Taking the chance of her momentary distraction, you slide away from the two women and away from Amella’s claws

-“Mock me all you want, but if my girlfriend doesn’t want you to touch her…” Amity points a finger in her face, her tone sharpening threateningly, “You’ll listen to her and back off, or you will have to deal with me.”

-You see Amella hesitate, her usual confidence slipping a bit by the pure anger burning in your girlfriends eyes, “You don’t want to threaten me, Blight.” The slight shake of her voice lessens the threat by Amity reply only strengthens.

-“If you bother me or my girlfriend ever again, I will report you to principle bump for harassment, Labasque.” Amella’s eyes widen at her name being spit out of Amity’s mouth, “I know your family, and I wonder what they’d think if their daughter got expelled.”

-Amella stands up suddenly, and for the first time ever, I see fear written on her features.

-“W-Whatever,” She tries to desperately scrape back some dignity, even as she runs with her tail between her legs, “God, I was just trying to make her feel better about herself.”

-Amella flees and I feel my discomfort leave with her

-Like a light switch, Amity switches to her usual soft, protective self and drops to her knees to check me over, gently cupping my cheeks like I did to her.

-“Are you okay?” “She didn’t hurt you right?” “I can make good on my threat y’now-“

-You cut her off by cupping the back of her neck and kissing her softly, she immediately melted into it and gently placed her left hand on your shoulder.

-“I’m alright.” You pulled away with a smile, “Thank you, Amity, I love you so much.”

-She blushed and bit her pink lip, “I love you too, Y/N.”

-On Monday, Amella moved seats.

Being Camila and Manny’s first child, there were more trial and errors with you than there were with your younger sister.

And it’s not that you were upset, but being a year younger than mostly all of your classmates could be a bit belittling — Gus understood that. And so did Hunter.

Speaking of which, after returning from the demon realm with your sister and your friends, you’d been too busy to do anything for yourself with school, applying for colleges, working on a way back, and your job at Camila’s veterinary clinic.

It’s been exhausting, but, fall break was about to begin in…

Shoving your notebook and computer back into your book bag, you heaved a sigh doing so.

You’d been given a break from work for the week, the staff all adored you and Luz and encouraged this break, saying that “you’d been spending too much time at work,” and “that boyfriend of yours must be missing you.”

Slinging your bag over your shoulder, you swiftly exited your class, ignoring the concerned look on your friend Masha’s face as you quickly scurried out. They’d be able to call you later anyhow.

Flopping your bag onto your desk, you followed suite by flopping onto the chair at your desk with a huff.

You were beginning to drift until…

Heavy eyelids shot open, and you sat up straight, quickly wiping the drool off your face before turning to the door.

Hunter poked his head in through the cracked open door, you stood to greet him with a smile. It had been almost a week since you’d really been able to talk and you missed him. A lot more than you were willing to admit out loud at least.

“Hey, you,” You yawned, sliding out of the chair as you stretched your body. Hunter closed the door, his hands clenching and unclenching as he watched you. “What’s up?”

“I just…” Hunter sighed, scratching the back of his neck with a blush on his cheeks. “I missed you a lot this week. We didn’t really get to see each other.” He pouts, and your surprise quickly turns to fondness.

“I missed you too, tiger.” You said with a big smile, standing from the chair and engulfing him in a hug. “At least we have next we—“

Aaaaaaaand, he’s out.

You grimace playfully, but pull him over to your bed and fall back with him laying on top of you. He’s heavy, but the weight feels comfortable. Hunter, feels comfortable.

affection was casual and brief, followed by the sort of laughter that only puppy-love can bring

you put on a documentary about wolves and just laid and sat side-by-side — with your head on his shoulder and his arm around your waist

it’s quiet and domestic and perfect but neither of you say anything

and you don’t say anything until well after you’ve fallen asleep in each other’s arms: your head in his chest and his body curled around you

peaceful and warm and domestic as you drift off to the sound of a soft british accent describing the dynamics of a wolf pack

you don’t know who woke up first, but you both end up pretending to sleep for a while in order to revel in the moment but all too soon you’re forced to end your little act when your friends come home

Valentines Day in the Noceda household meant the "Valentines Fairy".

Ever since the two kids were young, Camila and Manny would go crazy to decorate and make an elaborate show of the minor holiday. Pink and red streamers, big breakfasts of pancakes and french toast, and to top it all off chocolates and toys galore.

Of course, as the kids aged up the scheme died down, but now that the Hexsquad was joining them- and most importantly the Noceda siblings partners- they insisted on dialing back up.

Currently, it was six o'clock in the morning. All five Noceda's were decorating. Camila and Vee were cooking, Hunter was helping keep everyone on track, and Luz and Y/N were balancing on chairs in various spots around the kitchen to hang the streamers throughout the living and dining room. Y/N wobbled and Hunter placed a hand on his back to steady him before smirking.

"How can you not balance on a chair, doofus?"

"You don't even have a Valentines, Loser, so shut it!"

"Ay, no fighting, or I'm taking your gifts away." Camila teased. She ruffled Hunter's hair and he huffed. Y/N stuck his tongue out and Hunter kicked the bottom of the chair. Luz appeared and half-heartedly smacked Hunter on the back of his head.

Vee silenced them and they all listened to the sounds of muffled talking upstairs.

"Mierda. Vamanos, they're waking up." Camila urged her kids and they scrambled to function for a moment.

Y/N scrambled for the stairs and Luz ran after him, tearing open the little closet under the stairs and practically fighting each other to access their partners gifts at the bottom step. Hunter shoved both of them to dive in and Luz tacled him. Y/N emerged with his gift first and skid into the kitchen, stumbling. Vee caught him, laughing.

Luz came out seconds later, scrunched her nose as Hunter fell on his face behind her. They stared at him for a moment before Camila snorted, helping him up. A thin line of blood trickled from his nose, and Y/N handed him a tissue.

"Uh, goodmorning, guys."

The siblings froze and then suddenly aligned automatically, shoving their gifts behind their backs. Willow, Amity, and Gus stood in front of them. Gus yawned and Y/N spoke first.

"Happy Valentines day!.. Morning...! Sorry we woke you." He held the box out and Gus stepped forward, pushing it aside so he could hug Y/N first. There was a puff of light blue and Gus suddenly didn't look tired anymore, face flushed. He presented his own gift as the others started doing their own thing. Y/N and Gus claimed the dining table quickly.

"What is it?" Gus asked, shaking the box lightly.

"It's a box." Y/N teased. Gus rolled his eyes. "There's something for EB in there too."

At the mention of the palisman, the chameleon climbed up the chair's side, settling by Gus's head as he opened the lid on the box.

"It's- It's not great but I figured we'd want our own collection of memories." Y/N mutters. Gus flips through the thin scrapbook and reads the note at the end, then pulls the mini dress from the box.

He busts into laughter and Emmaline let's out a quiet chirp. Gus wipes a fake tear from his eye and slips the dress onto his palisman. There's another bout of laughter as Camila takes a photo.

"Well, my gift isn't as cute." Gus smiles, shoving the blue box towards you. Inside is a bracelet with half a magnetic heart. He proudly displays his own wrist amd Y/N giggles. He stands and scoots Y/N over so they can both squeeze onto one chair- because the idea of just sitting on each other didn't occur to them- and clicks the bracelets together. Y/N hugged Gus tightly, and the dark-skinned boy laughed. They tangled together in the chair, chatting quietly. Y/N kissed his cheek a d Gus got very silent.

Y/N grabbed the rose and handed it to Gus again as his face flushed.

"I love you."

Gus smiled reflexively and kissed Y/N quickly.

"I love you too."

Hunter exclaimed something from across the room and they all silenced, then bust into laughter. Willow was holding him in a dip and kissing him. Hunter practically went limp and Luz wheezed.

Camila chuckled, then pat Y/N's head.

"Here, I got you and Gus's gift right here."

She handed the two huge heart-shaped boxes too them, and a stuffed dog with a little plush heart on top of it. They awkwardly held it, trying to get it on the table without dumping it. Gus finally managed to do it and whooped, making Y/N giggle again. He pulled Gus in again as breakfast was placed in front of them.

"Happy Valentines, Agustus."

"Happy Valentines, Y/N."

They pressed their lips together, and the bracelets clicked between them.
