AU where Natakas survives the attack and gets to go home with Kassandra - cut to 15 years later and Kassandra has opened her own misthios/self-defense school where she teaches kids/teens, including of course, her star pupil Elpidios. 🥰🥰🥰

forget shipping and all of kassandra‘s family for a second because kassandra‘s relationship with phoibe is actually the most important to me.

@leschanceux said -> Elpidio Emiliano Hierro!
"You better be on the fuckin' verge of death, callin' me that!" Piyo exclaims as he circles the doorway. "Otherwise, you're gonna wish you were."

@thefvrious asked you’re all i have left -
As a rule, Angel doesn't do soft; his first reaction when his brother speaks is to pull a face so disgusted, he could've been drinking vinegar from a bottle --- though what Piyo says is true; they're the only two left of their particular part of the Hierro line. "Don't say shit like that, Piyo," he sighs when his face has relaxed back into his normal expression, "we're part of something bigger now --- we have another family, one we chose and who chose us back."

End of the Year Takarazuka Tag: Day 7
The Final Dance (Saigo no Dansu): What was your favourite duedan of the year?
Elpidio!
Tumblr media
It's always hard for me to pick out specific duedans from memory... But going through my 2022 watches, I knew I had to chose Elpidio.
Sha Tamae just never fails on that choreography. The choreography had such graceful movements to it that made it seem like it was almost moving with the music. The music as well, it was amazing. The instruments had such a delicate sound to them, aided by the blue lighting that flooded the stage, created an almost serene atmosphere. It then beautifully lead into Chinatu's lovely vocals, followed by some of Michiru's as well. The two had such a chemistry about them. The costumes are also absolutely stunning. Everything the cuts of the dress, and heavy black lacing on solid white in both costumes is just so, *chef's kiss* Gorgeous costumes, only for the best.
As we can all tell by now, I am in love with these two.

no because in the book everytime kassandra thinks about phoibe they described that she is desperately trying to push her feelings aside, to not be attached and care about someone like family would, they describe it as a fire in her heart that she tries to put out and when kassandra sends darius and her son away for his own safety she says she will be the fire, the beacon of light to distract everyone. because she didn‘t let this fire burn for phoibe when she still had the chance to care about her and take care of her. and later in the underworld she also tells phoibe that adults are foolish and only start with what could have been and what if‘s (this is not a direct quote this is me recalling what happened) once a child like phoibe is gone and it‘s too late. phoibe is essential to kassandra‘s character. she mirrors kassandra but also encourages her to grow and question her views and beliefs that she learned as a child in sparta. and later we can see this in kassandra‘s relationship to elpidios too. she won‘t make the same mistakes she regrets with phoibe. to me it seems also like phoibe is a metaphor for kassandra trying to take care of her inner child and her own trauma, like I said a mirror of kassandra being a child, alone.

Got to say, one of my favorite things about the Treasured DLC is that Kassandra just vanishes for six months so Barnabas fully tracks Herodotos down (cause canonically this is after he leaves the Adrestia) to get help finding her. Like, she's disappeared before. The Underworld, Atlantis (although I don't know how long those two times were), and then "retiring" (he technically knew where she was then cause he met Elpidios). But this time, it was long enough he fully panicked and went searching for help.

Holy hieromartyr Philoumenos of Cyprus (1913-1979) †
"Saint Philoumenos was born on October 15th, 1913 in the parish of Saint Savvas in Nicosia, along with his twin brother Archimandrite Elpidios.
At the age of 14, the two brothers left for the ancient Monastery of Stavrovouni, and stayed there for five years. Later, the saint joined the monastic brotherhood of the holy sepulchre. In 1979, he was appointed guardian of the monastery of Saint Jacob´s Well.
In the afternoon of November 29th, 1979 - “strangers”, according to the police report, trespassed on the premises of Jacob’s Well. They found the opportunity to hide and remain in the monastery after 4:00 p.m. when the guard had already left. Possibly while the Saint was performing vespers, they attacked him with an axe, and having fiercely abused him, they killed him.
The body of the Saint was handed over to the Orthodox 6 days after his massacre, but retained its flexibility and was buried in the cemetery of Mount Zion.
૮ ◞ ﻌ ◟ ა 3 things were most remarkable about the blessed martyr. The first might have been partly from nature: this was his soft sweet voice. The second was a meticulous fidelity to small things, but specifically to the Divine Service. Third, and as unobtrusive, almost secret, was his humility.
૮ ◞ ﻌ ◟ ა St Philoumenos however only knew his monastic cell and his reading. He studied ecclesiastical books
After four years his body was exhumed.  It was found to be substantially incorrupt and had the smell of a beautiful scent. His memory is honored on November 29. May his soul rest in peace.
( x x x x x) actually theres other version abt his death but idk its kinda weird t me but im sharing it just in case x

@thefvrious asked "i almost DIED back there ,  and you’re laughing?" -
Angel's howling starts afresh as Piyo scolds him. Eventually, he stands and wipes his eyes, the occasional snort still escaping as he meets his brother's gaze. "Should'a seen your face, 'mano!" It shouldn't really been as funny as it was, his younger brother going skidding over a particularly slick patch of oil on the driveway, but the way Piyo's arms had windmilled and the expression on his face had been enough for Angel and a couple of the others to start laughing their asses off. "You good?"

Just finished AC Odyssey Legacy of the First Blade. It was...ok. For as long as was it was it also seemed kind of rushed. There were several things I thought they shouldn't have done.
Spoilers Ahead
The love story between Natakas and the playable character seemed really fast and out of nowhere. I understand it was kind of necessary to be short for the game, but...eh.
My biggest aggravation was that Darius and Natakas stayed with Kassandra and just completely grew complacent, knowing the order was looking for them. They could have had a 'quiet' life, a house and baby and everything, and still been on the look out for the order looking for them. The fact that they were 'surprised' by the attack that led to Natakas dying and Elpidios being stolen was kind of dumb to me.
Especially the fact that Darius, who up till now has been nothing but a badass, suddenly needs rescuing. And the fact that Kassandra left her baby and husband to go save him, not knowing he actually needed help.
But also, where TF is Kassandra's family? No matter the ending you get, you should at least have Myrinne on your side. Why was none of Kassandra's family involved? In my playthrough she should have had the entire family, all of whom are good fighters, helping to protect her baby and husband. Are you seriously telling me that between Darius, Kassandra, and Alexios the Persian's would have been able to kill Natakas and steal Elpidios? There was literally hardly anyone there! I've singlehandedly taken down forts with more people in them!
I know this is all for the purpose of the story, but if you want to make it believable, there should have been a shit ton more Persians, a more dire situation leading to Natakas dying, a reason Kassandra's family wasn't anywhere nearby, and not make Darius suddenly a noob for no reason.
Or make Kassandra a more 'human' character so that you don't go through the whole game playing like the demi-god you are until it's plot-convenient for Kassandra to suddenly be a sub-par fighter.
Overall, the plot was fine, but I probably wouldn't ever play it again. The ending, showing how Darius takes Elpidios to Egypt and he ages and then transforms into his descendants leading to Aya was honestly cool. A+ on that part.
Holy shit, the Fate of Atlantis DLC is ANOTHER 15 hours? It's going to be July before I can play Mirage at this rate, jfc. I still need to get through Valhall and it's DLC's too. And that's not taking into account I skipped AC3 DLC because of bugs, AC 4, Rogue, and Unity to try and play Mirage on release.
