Anyone posting entire fanfiction chapters without using a read more gets instantly blocked by me btw, and I wouldn't be surprised if I was not the only one. Have some damn courtesy towards people in fandom tags.

For the choose violence ask game, I'm really curious about 3. Can be any fandom really, I'm just interested in what you think the worst opinion ever on this wretched(affectionate) website is
Ouh what a though one... To be honest I wouldn't say the worst thing I saw on Tumblr was fandom-related, like to me the worst part is when people bring important subjects like politics or sexuality on the table and basically tell people that what they think is obviously the truth. Tumblr is used by really young people who can definitly trust without a doubt those poeple and it scares me (mostly because those who do that share terrible ideas like abortion should be illegal). I would mostly say that the worst opinion I saw on this website fandom-related is that a character should have died from a cancer just because this person didn't like the character. Don't get me wrong there are characters I hate but to say that in their opinion the show would have been better if the character basically died from a cancer? How horrible is that? But something funnier that is not the worst opinion and just wrong is when people say "this show should have stopped at this season" like for Galactik Football with season three (sorry not sorry still the best season in my opinion) or with seasons 5+ in Winx Club... Even if they aren't great, they at least allow some fandoms to still exist and more people to discover them and it may give them the desire to watch the first seasons and then make their opinion on which seasons are good or not.
Oh and definitly people saying Barbie Rock N Royals is a bad movie. This opinion is wrong and so false. Even if Courtney's wig doesn't suit her

At least now we know the rhodey who said the cheese comment was a skrull and real rhodey is innocent. That im ok with.
// It's a take, and you're entitled to it, but it's not one I'll run with personally. I don't recall a confirmed date as to how long Rhodey was held captive so if someone provides a screenshot that does, fair do's. Otherwise, I firmly believe Tony would've recognised a fake Rhodey. The man we saw in Secret Invasion was clearly out of character.
In Endgame, what people saw was an in-character fave saying something some of us might not have wanted him to say. People say problematic things, even our favourites, especially in fiction, especially when they're under an inordinate amount of stress from a half apocalypse and trying to keep things glued together and here's this god-like being who represents more firepower than his entire military combined sat here thinking he's worthless after (what I assume from my own takes) people have spent years trying to get through to him and had to give up because of his stubbornness and they all have their own shit to deal with. It's not kind, it's not right, but Rhodey is a no shit kind of guy with a smart mouth. He's military talking to a warrior, teasing and unpleasant comments sometimes kick people into shape. It's not the textbook perfect psychological thing to do but they're characters (and he's human). Doing things the 'right way' makes for boring viewing. I defend Rhodey's right to be an asshole when he's under pressure and frustrated with a man he doesn't know well who he probably deems capable of a lot more if he got off his ass. He's used to giving Tony a hard time when he fucks up, so he does it to others, too. No, fat jokes and food jokes aren't cool or kind and I sympathise for Thor, but again this is fiction and I personally think it's ok to laugh at things that would be otherwise cruel in reality. The sad truth that some people in the real world don't realise you shouldn't talk to people the way fictional characters do is not screenwriters' problems.
Wow sorry I essayed there. This was not aimed at you, anon, I just had a take apparently and off I went. Thanks for raising this concept though. It would be interesting to consider that Rhodey had been a skrull that long but I don't agree that it was before Tony's death.

so, this is something i've noticed in fandom spaces and want to see how people ~generally~ feel regarding genderbends & genderswaps, especially if they are transgender themselves!
if there's a reason for why you like/dislike genderbends please share in the tags, this is something that genuinely interests me

listen like. people are totally entitled to their opinions and criticisms of the pjo show but. sometimes it’s just hard to hear/read. I know the show isn’t perfect but seeing the cast & producers talk about it and seeing the level of love and excitement theyve put into the work, idk, I feel for them having people tear it to shreds. criticising the author himself for not adapting it well when he’s doing something different with a new medium, saying they’re sorry for the kids who love the books but have to act in this “terrible” show as if these kids aren’t THRILLED by the opportunity and just so committed to giving the show their best.
(watch the behind the scenes documentary. seriously.)
again totally valid criticisms & opinions!! but you win some and lose some in an adaptation. eg. trying to expand on themes, keep a consistent tone, appeal to a broader audience (including those of us who loved the books as kids but are now!!! adults!!!), keep within budget, etc etc all these things involve some trade offs. sure some of the humour and goofiness has been lost but we also get amazing beautifully acted scenes that really expand on core themes of family or who is a monster etc etc.
speaking on a personal level I have had a hard time these past few months and this show became a genuine escape, a way for me to connect with my sister watching the episodes together, a rediscovery of my inner 12 year old who waited so long for this. and I know there are people who are like me and they had certain expectations and that’s why they’re disappointed and that’s so valid, but it’s a lot of negativity sometimes, & I just wish we could give a little grace bc making a creative thing is hard, and pleasing everyone with that creative thing is impossible, and most of all, maybe we could revel a little bit more in this unique complex piece of work that lots of people poured their hearts into with nothing but the best of intentions.
