“I was working for US rock magazine Creem and the brief was to get as many shots of Stevie as possible - at that time she was the most glamorous singer of the day. We borrowed a couple of unusual cars for the shoot, but I couldn’t get her to leave her dog out of the photos, and we spent a fair amount of the time chasing it around the studio and the gig - where this shot was taken. While Fleetwood Mac were on stage the dog kicked up a terrific row in the dressing room, and the looks of murderous intent on the faces of the road crew were priceless. Having artists take partners on the road was never seen as a good idea, but taking a dog along was something else altogether.” —Fin Costello
