I'm seeing the new Puss in Boots movie tomorrow, so to prepare myself, I've been binge-watching all of the Shrek movies and the first PIB just to refresh my memory.
In sum:
Shrek 1: Still an absolute masterpiece. I feel the older I get, the more I appreciate it and the music. 9.5/10
Shrek 2: Somehow, it's even more perfect than the first one. The "I Need a Hero" sequence is just as iconic as it always was, and there are several other scenes that still make me crack up every single time (like the fast food one). 10/10
Shrek the Third: Arguably the weakest film on this list. Some good ideas, but the plot never seems to come together cohesively, and most of the jokes don't land, unfortunately. 5.5/10
Shrek Forever After: While it's not as strong a Shrek film as the first two, I still think it's a solid movie overall. Lots of really emotional scenes, and Rumpelstiltskin is a decent villain. (Side note: I've felt for a long time the Rumpelstiltskin story would make for an interesting Disney adaptation if done well. Mouse House, get on it!) I think it's underrated, IMO. 8/10
Puss in Boots: Overall fun, creative, action-filled movie. Can be a tad predictable at times, but all the good stuff and cute kitties make up for it. 7.5/10
I'm now prepared.

Thank you @dangerliesbeforeyou for tagging me, im mentioning all kinds of media bc I love to rant, I have a lot of love in my heart and I have trouble choosing just 8: (im making this on mobile hope it's readable).
Howl's moving castle (2004)
My first experience of gender envy, gender fascination, gender emulation for Howl, at a time I didn't even know that gender was a thing because I was like idek 7 years old.
Kiss of the rabbit god (2019)
A short movie, stumbled onto it bc of Tumblr. You honour, I simply love it.
Shrek (2001)
I'm not being ironic I'm very serious about this one. My mom used to braid my hair weekly when I was little and I constantly played this one, I know it by heart and I'm not joking. I freaking love this movie. Same goes for Mulan, Beauty and the beast, Charlie and the chocolate factory, and the whole Shrek franchise up to the 3rd one. (Gotta watch Puss in boots 1 and 2 tho.)
V for vendetta (2005)
This is a shout-out to 14 years old me who might have at some point based their personality around this movie or maybe they didn't, who's to say. I'm not sorry. Kinda still like it tho.
Corpse bride (2005)
There is an independent cinema in my hometown and they did run it often over the years. Bestie I don't know how many times I went to see this movie with my mother as a child. Recently learned about the Jewish origins of this myth and im a lil upset about the stolen storyline without the context. But some will say it's a Burton movie and they're right.
Valentine's day (2011)
First movie I went to see alone with my friends, I was like 12yo. Rewatched it again like 2 years ago, yeah it ain't that great but it's the memories right.
Father and soldiers (2022)
The last movie that made me cry. I hate war movies but my friends convinced me to go because it was less than 2 hours and I've been mad at movies being more than two and a half hours lately (looking at u House of Gucci, Doctor Strange 2) yeah, I cried my eyes out. It's not a perfect movie but the message is great and very moving. I don't like the English title because the original/French title directly refers the name of a group of African soldier recruited by France in its colonies during WWI -> "Les Tirailleurs" (if I remember well, the soldiers were recruited in every colonies but they left Africa from the Senegal and so all these soldiers are referred as Senegalese regardless of their actual origins). The English title is more fitting thematically wise I'll give you that.
Fulmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009)
Knew about it, was recommended by a dear mutual of mine on this very hellsite and yeah, ppl keep saying it's good because it just is.
I told sunset about you/ I promised you the moon (2020-2021)
If you read my tags u know how I rant about this show often. Watched it 2 years ago thanks to someone i follow on Tumblr (but im not really sure who it was anyway if you're a mutual thank you sm). My first foray into BL (back when I didn't even know what it was) and I couldn't be happier that I started with this. I don't have enough words to praise it. (currently writing a post about it tho, stay tuned for whenever I get around to finish it (tell me if u wanna know when it's up), big up to Bad Buddy and To My Star too)
Honoured mentions bc I started making a list and had more than 8 and couldn't not mention them:
Other movies: O'brother, Love and Leashes, God's own country, Jackie Brown, The big lebowsky (idek if I like this movie but I needed something to base my personality around when I was 15yo)
The book The Hunchback of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo, I'm gonna keep my rant about how the English title is a misunderstanding of the book locked and not even start it.
Alice isn't dead and The Magnus archives (although they're podcasts and I haven't quite finished them, the first seasons are exquisite)
Welcome to Night Vale, I have a lot of episodes to catch up on (currently working on that) started listening like in 2016 then stopped around idek 2 years ago. Some of these episodes are masterpieces ( some I know by heart: Guidelines for disposal, Love is a shambling thing, What happened at the Smithwick House, If he had lived, and The Pilot ofc)
the ballet Swan Lake (1995, 2012) by Matthew Bourne. I don't have enough words. I'll just say it's on youtube.
.....and many more im not think abt rn
*acts surprised* this became a real long post, real quick
(That's why I take a lot of time to answer those lmao, shout out and thank you to the ppl who tag me in these and then I take a lot of time to answer)
Tagging these people and anyone who wants to do it can mention me: @sherlockig @dontbesoevil @lordmeowdemort @namelessbeing @hairbackc0llarup @comrademichael @johnlockdynamic @lovelywickedsoul @frenchsiren

Ok, It Gets Better, Then It Gets Worse
BEFORE YOU READ! KNOW THAT THERE'S SOME CRAZY SHIT IN THIS! VERY BIG TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR INSANE KINKS! DEAD DOVE DO NOT EAT I SWEAR! THIS FIC IS NSFW TO THE MAX! DO NOT READ THIS AND COME AT ME I HAVE WARNED YOU!
I decided to read some more of I Love Atsushi to see if it gets better or worse.
And.... it's.... ok?
I mean, a few parts after the first one are ok....
There's plenty of incest, but I've read enough of that to be ok with it. (For fics, in this instance)
And then.... it gets sooo much worse.
I've never read the words dog pussy so fucking much.
No joke, there's a part where the reader is a dog and Atsushi's just super down bad.
And I'd be fine with that. I'm ok with bestiality shit for fics.
But the term dog pussy just made me so uncomfortable.
And I didn't get too much further after that.
There's a part where the reader and Atsushi go to a bating cage.
(This is gonna get weird, so I'm cutting it here. Yes, it's weirder than the dog pussy imo)
And there's lots of very public sex in this.
Like, there's people bating in the cages beside Atsushi and reader. (It's implied anyway)
And reader just strips their pants while Atsushi shoves the bat up their pussy.
And not just a little bit, no no no.
From the end of the bat all the way to the fucking handle.
(And I'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that!)
And then he just picks up the reader while they still have the bat inside them by the bat's fucking handle, and swings them.
And fucking hits a ball with the reader on the FUCKING BAT!
I had to stop after that.
It was too ridiculous.
But I will say, there's some shit in their I don't mind.
Ima check and see if there's any piss kink kinda shit, but besides that, I probably won't read too much more.
But I'll keep whoever is actually interested in this in the know.
(But also, I'm still amazed at the author's brain for coming up with this. I fucking love twisted people. Never a dull moment)
EDIT FROM LATER: I COMPLETELY FORGOT I WAS GONNA DO THIS SEGMENT!
I'm gonna read some of the requests that were given to the author!
And they're all somewhat worse than what I've just talked about.
(This post is so long and I'm so sorry....)
Something for a 20 inch cock and another request for a 20 foot cock
Maggots on Atsushi's dick
Vore with Dazai and Atsushi
Atsushi, Dazai, Akutagawa and Atsushi wants everyone to peel his foreskin off and his dick falls off and they have to stitch it back on
Clothed sex (the most normal one here)
Lactation (this one's pretty normal too I guess)
Atsushi fucking tied up sleeping reader (Ok, more of these are ok than I thought)
Horny Atsushi with 2 dicks
Atsushi fart fetish (???)
Reader is Atsushi's waifu body pillow
Reader is a public toilet? He shits and pisses in them? Then he fucks them wtf? (also, this is the 20 ft cock one)
Btw, that 20 inch cock one involved Atsushi getting stuck inside the reader forever
Umm.... Fiona (from Shrek), Reader, and Atsushi have a threesome.... Bestiality and long double cock for Atsushi
Atsushi fucking reader in front of entire agency (Finally, a semi-normal one)
Atsushi wears reader's skin as a skin suit (Never fucking mind)
Gun sex..... Doggy style.... Threatens to shoot reader if they cum early..... Still shoots reader anyway and leaves them to rot.... wtf....
Reader has scoliosis so Atsushi drills a hole in them (???) and snaps their bones back into place WTF?!
Atsushi fucks an orange and makes reader eat it with his cum inside (After those last few, this is kinda ok)
And then a wholesome picnic where reader and Atsushi eat pickles
I know these are probably just for shock factor (just like the entire fic itself), but some of these are sooo fucked up it makes me nervous.
Alright, I'm never going back to this so I'm just gonna list some of the rest of the parts because fuck this.
Poop kink
Body swap
Reader is tinker bell (oh hell no I know how that one's going down)
Doctor Atsushi
Atushi and Fyodor
Wax kink (this one's ok)
Atsushi has tentacle dick
Camgirl
Daddy kink (please no)
Piss kink (I'm checking this out. I'll update and say how it was) (Update: Not my kind of piss kink, but not as bad as some of the other chapters)
Reader is worm
I had to click on this one cause I couldn't read the full title (it's about bondage) and a warning says "Questionable use of organs" TF DOES THAT MEAN?!
Reader is bike (because of course)
I CLICKED ON ANOTHER ONE AND IT SAYS STOMACH ACID KINK IM NOT SLEEPING TONIGHT WTF
Oh.... last chapter is.... normal vanilla sex? Ima check this and see if this is true. Will my eyes finally be ok? (This chapter was perfectly fine, but the comments were all like "This is boring! Bring us the skin suit! Bring us shit and vomit and blood and gore!" And I swear, these people were feral. They were so pissed at not having a fucked up chapter)
I swear, I'm never coming back to this unless that piss kink one is good. (Those are hard to find, don't judge me)

Ranking the Shrek/Puss In Boots movie villains
Those who know me know I love vilains ,and I was interested to see how the Shrek /Puss in Boots villains stack up .
Ones I am not including are Goldilocks and the Three Bear Crime Family cause in my mind they arent villains at all ,they are antagonists but they arent evil at all ,nor am I including the Poison Apple crew ,simply cause they are more henchmen then full on villains (If I do my favorite Shrek side characters ,Captain Hook will definately be on the list though )
First off I dont dislike any of these villains, they all have their moments ,but I am ranking these from least favorite to favorite
Also spoilers
8. Jack and Jill-Puss In Boots (2011)
I love the concept,I have a thing for outlaw couples,Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris give enjoyable performances (ESpecially Sedaris ) and they have a cute running joke with Jack wanting to settle down and have a baby while Jill is all for continuing in crime . However while they are set up as the main villains ,they kind of take a back seat to Humpty Dumpty ,and frankly they are a touch generic compared to other Shrek villains
Tumblr media
7.Humpty Dumpty -Puss In Boots (2011)
OK Humpty very much conflicts me because on papaer he is one of the most interesting Shrek villain ,basically being not only Puss's best friend but his brother ,but went down a far darker path.He feels like an outcast ,and resents Puss for finding his place as well as ,for in his eyes abandoning him, when in actuailaity it was a situation he caused and the only main villain to realize his own mistakes. He should be high up right?.....WEll the problem is while he is well written,I think Zach Galifanakis is SO miscast and I dont care for his performance .Also frankly....I HATE his design ,I'm sorry he is really unpleasent to look at ,he is very unsettling,
Tumblr media
6.Prince Charming from Shrek 2 (2004) and Shrek the Third (2007)
PRince Charming is the only villain to be in multiple films ,and he frustrates me .....BEcause I cant put him higher.I love his concept, he is a vain Prince who feels he is owed his happilly ever after ,and in the third film he leads an army of villains to get that.I love Rupert Everetts performance who balances the dashing prince and petulent villain sides well.....My problem is ....He doesnt feel like a threat .See in Shrek 2 ,he is the secondary villain ,as his mother the Fairy Godmother is the main villain ,and when he comes back in Shrek 3, he has been so humiliated and hit rock bottom ,I kind of feel too sorry for him and dont see him as an intimidating bad guy . I
Tumblr media
5..Rumplestiltskin- Shrek Forever After (2010)
I debated putting him higher, cause he is effective .A wicked deal maker who resents Shrek for saving Fiona before he could trick her parents into signing a deal with him .He's kind of fun and sinister ,and I am kind of fond of Walt Fohrns very odd line delivery ,his high voice is kind of afun mix of silly and kind of creepy .He isnt higher cause well he feels too similar to both the Fairy Godmother and Lord Farquaad ,just a bit sleazier .I think he is fun but not top tier
Tumblr media
4.Lord Farquaad from Shrek (2001)
Farquaad is the first villain of the Shrek series ,and probabbly the most passive villain,he isnt as active as the other villains, but he plays well for the themes of the film. He is a guy obsessed with perfection and looks down on those who he sees as not fitting his idea of perfection, namely Fairy tale creatures .....Basically this guy isnt far diffrent then real powerful bigots. He is also highly entertaining with some great lines and is played wonderfully to hammy perfection by John Lithgow and I do think he has a great design. My biggest issue with him is the short jokes at his expense are kind of terrible and I dont think he is as interesting as the top 3 villains
Tumblr media
3.The Fairy Godmother from Shrek 2 (2004 )
The person who makes happily ever aters happen and decides who they happen too .Pissed off that her machinations to have Fiona marry her son, Charming ,went wrong ,she seeks to find a way to get rid of Shrek .She is so wonderfully manipulative,Jennifer Saunders gives such a marvelous performance, she hilarious while also being intimidating.....Plus she gets one hell of a villain song with her cover of Holding out for a Hero
Tumblr media
2.Big Jack Horner -Puss In Boots The Last Wish (2022)
Big Jack Horner is a crime kingpin/Pie magnet who seeks to find the wishing star to gain access to all the magic in the world .....Jack Horner might be the most unappologetically evil person in the Shrek universe.Where other villains at least try to pretend to have redeeming qualities ,Jack Horner is a vile monster ,who doesnt care who he has to kill to get what he wants, and he knows,he re4vels in how vile he is ....And it makes him so funny .I adore John Mulaneys performance, for years I have thought he would play a really good villain, and I was proven right .His designb is great too cause he has this intimaidaing hulking body and stuture but topped with this baby face and pink hair , I adore it . I also like that while the film full of characters who grow and change ,Horner is the one character who refuses to ,he litterally rejects the idea of a concience in the form of the Ethical Bug .He is a hilarious cartoony villain who was close to getting the top spot
Tumblr media
1.Death -Puss In Boots the Last Wish (2022)
I struggled for a while over who would be number one between Death and Big Jack....But DEath wins.....Because he is the most personal and frightening villain in the Shrek verse to one of the main characters , because he is the embodiment of Puss's fears. He is the opponent Puss cant beat ,and the oppoenent every one must meet .I have hears some say he isnt a villlain....No ,he is.He isnt doing his job ,he isnt trying to teach Puss.....He WANTS to kill him,and is enjoying the chase .Its personal with Death ,Puss has mocked him and not valued life and he wants to SAVOR killing Puss .This might be the best example I have seen of Death as an advesaroy .He is designed beautifully,a red eyed wolf ,with the forma of a raven on his face ,weilding sickle and wearing a black hood, with WAgnar Moura giving a chilling performance .I also love his whistle which creeped me out everytime he showed up. He stands out among the Shrek villains, cause he is the most serious and by far the scariest .I condsidered leaving him off....But the truth is he is my favorite villain in the Shrek/Puss In Boots series
Tumblr media
Well thats my list ,who is your favorite
@autistic-prince-cinderella @ariel-seagull-wings @angelixgutz @amalthea9 @goodanswerfoxmonster @marquisedemasque @princesssarisa @filmcityworld1 @the-blue-fairie @themousefromfantasyland

Because I want to make this list and it's my birthday (May 3rd) so I can do what I want!
I heard about the Donkey Spin off Dreamworks is thinking of making. Here's a list of characters that I would love to get their own spin-off, short film, or at the very least more screen time.
Characters I think would work for a short film.
Donkey🐴 Shrek
I don't mind the thought of his own film, but I feel like it would turn into another Cars 2 situation. The comedic side character that everyone thinks is dumb and useless. But the character is actually useful in their own way. There is nothing wrong with the comedic side character, as long as they have someone who can compliment that personality. Someone who can react to that characters comedic moments. Otherwise, it doesn't work. Think of every moment Donkey was funny. Why was it funny? Because their was always someone there to react. The boulder and waffle lines only worked because Shrek was there to compliment the joke. So, a stand-alone film with Donkey wouldn't work UNLESS he had other characters to compliment his jokes. If they're gonna go the prequel route, they're gonna have to add in new characters that'll help compliment Donkeys comedic side. Especially a serious character. Think of Jack Sparrow and Will Turner from Pirate's of the Caribbean. Jack's funny moments were balanced out by the rest of the casts reactions. Will is waiting for Jack and sees him running across the beach. His reaction, happiness. Then the army behind Jack appears, Wills reaction? Time to go. Same for Jack's grand first appearance. It was funny on its own and even funnier when the gaurds looked at him weird for it.
So I'm not against a Donkey film because it can work if you surround that character with the right characters. But it can go downhill if the chemistry between the characters doesn't work out.
Toothless🐉HTTYD
I would like a short film about him. Like, him learning how to be independent from Hiccup after How To Train Your Dragon 3. Starting his new life and adapting as the new leader. Plus, his new family. But in the style of Dreamworks Spirit. How Spirit had no dialog, but they did have a narration going on. And told a story through the animals' movements and facial expressions. I can't see this as a full-length film, though, so that's why I said short film. Like a documentary styled 30-minute film. The same way they gave Tigress a 30-minute film. Something like that, just to give us a little story of Toothless life after he left Hiccup.
Circus Trio 🎪Madagascar
Little short film for the cicus gang in the 3rd film, Vitaly, Stephano, and Gia. The thing is, they have a lot of chemistry together but not much screen time. And it's that chemistry that's intriguing me. You can tell the moment their introduced that they have a found family relationship. Vitaly is baiscally an older brother. The traditionalist, protective, suspicious of newcomers, and the one everyone looks up to. Stefano feels like the baby brother of the three. He's so bubbly, naive, and cheerful. The first to trust the zoo gang. Gia feels like a combination of the two, the middle child. Definitely has Vitalys skepticism and protectiveness while having Stephos bubbly and naive personality. The girl slammed herself against a pole on purpose! Because the guy she was skeptical of did it first! 😂 If they weren't different species, I would've thought they were blood related. 11 year old me was convinced they were brothers and sister despite being different species! 🤣 But why? Did the three grow up together in the circus? Were they born and raised there? Did they come into the circus one by one with different back stories, and if so, why and how? How did Vitaly even discover that he can go through tiny hoops? Was he being reckless as a kid and went through one on accident? And then their relationship with the rest of the circus. "Circus always sticks together." They care about the others, and it's that dynamic that I love. Maybe it's the theater kid in me because everyone in that class acted like siblings, and it's just beautiful.
The reason I say this would work as a short film is because of their story. Their story can work as a full-length film. A famous circus, exploring new places, meeting new people, winning competitions, and then meeting their downfall when their star gets to cocky. Sounds interesting and could work for a film. Seeing them slowly lose passion for their hobbies and going into a slump or a form of depression. But their story doesn't get resolved until the zoo gang come in. Meaning their story would have a tragic or the very least a bitter sweet ending. And that doesn't fit the Madagascar environment. Unless they take a Last Wish route. What I mean is, the Puss in Boots films feel very different than the Shrek films. Puss in Boots was much more mature and serious. Which made his films stand out and work. So yeah, short film unless they take a mature and serious path. Away from the usal Madagascar vibe.
Charaters that I feel can go either way. Short film or a full-length movie.
Death ☠️ The Last Wish
Tumblr media
I feel like this can go either way, but he deserves the spotlight. I want to see his reactions to different deaths. Because being death can't be easy. He probably witnessed children die. Babies dying in their parents' arms, animals being killed, or innocent lives being unfairly taken away. And there's no way Puss was the only soul he wanted to take. I'm sure he's taken matters into his own hands and killed off other jerks. And he's probably seen souls beg him to stay alive, I mean, look at him here!
Tumblr media
"Everyone thinks they'll be the one to defeat me. But no one has escaped me yet."
He says this in such a sad tone, and his expression matches just that. He probably has memories of souls struggling in his grasp. Souls that keep trying to escape and sob for mercy. Heck, maybe he's experienced children begging him to stay alive and return to their parents. But rules are rules. He has to take the souls to the afterlife no matter what. This can work as a short film, show us a day to day experience of what it's like to be death. How he treats each death differently depending on who's dying.
Or it could be a full-length film if done right. How was Death made? Was he just created when the universe was created? If so, it would be cute to see a more innocent Death trying to figure out his job. Experiencing his first death and realising what it means to be Death. Or maybe it's like a job. Think of Jack Frost from Legen of the Guardians. He was gifted his role by a greater entity. Maybe it's the same for Death. Maybe he was a mortal with a normal life, an accident happened, he died, and he was chosen to take over this role by Death before him. Maybe it's a job you pass down. That would make an interesting story. What makes someone worthy of being Death? As we know, Death in The Last Wish values life to the point where someone like Puss wasting multiple lives gets him aggravated. If we go this route, maybe when he was mortal, he experienced tons of deaths. So he grew up valuing his own life and others. Heck, give him a tragic back story! His whole village and family died from a natural disaster or an attack. And he values life more because of it! I feel like this would at least be an interesting film.
Perrito ⭐️The Last Wish
Tumblr media
I can see him getting a short film. A small montage of his owners throwing him out and him returning. It can be a tragic comedy. Once his owners get tired of him, they try to drown him. He gets out and tries to find his way back to them. On his little journey, he can try to make friends on the streets, but they all reject him for being too annoying. He keeps searching for his owners until he lands at Mama Lunas. A little short story of how he ended up at Lunas.
Or a full-length film. Start it off when he's a puppy trying to play with his litter mates. Imagine how the drowing scene would play out, pretty tragic. And end it when he finds Mama Lunas home. It seems simple, yes, but if there's one thing many people love, it is dog stories about dogs trying to find their home. And many times, those stories make us cry. And I'm sure Perritos' story will have us crying. Why does he want to be a therapy dog? Getting into therapy isn't something someone picks just because. A lot of times, therapist have their own personal reasons to being therapists. And something I noticed about Perrito is that he isn't stupid. He recognizes a panic attack when he sees one. How? The way he helps Goldie realize she has a family. How? If he was oblivious to what his owners did, he would still consider them his family and still be searching for them. But he isn't looking for his old owners and recognizes a healthy family dynamic. Same for Kitty. He recognizes that she has trust issue's and helps her. HOW!?
How does this puppy know what panic attacks look like, when someone has trust issues and the difference between a toxic and healthy family? If he was oblivious to what happened to him, he wouldn't know any of these things! I'll tell you how, HE KNOWS!!! He clearly knows his "family" tried to kill him. He knows what being close to death is like and what trust issues are like. He most likely found a way to heal from these wounds by himself while he was alone on the streets. And now he wants to help others heal from their wounds. Hence why he wants to be a therapist.
You can't deny that a film about an abused puppy learning to heal from his emotional wounds while surviving on the streets would have people in a crying mess.
Characters that 100% deserve their own film! Telling you right now that these charaters are animated royalty, so bow down!!!
Diane Foxington 🦊 Bad Guys
Tumblr media
Come on! The Crimson Paw!!! The world's most dangerous and #1 bad guy living in the shadows, retiring in favor for a redemption, using her skills to help her community by becoming the governor, all because she didn't want to land into societies stereotypes about her and do good for once. "I'm still me, just me on a better path."
I live by this line! I was raised in a sexist/racist/homophobic and even criminal household, so imagine how messed up I was in middle school and high school until I joined theater. After theater, I came onto a better path, and I still wonder if I'm still the same me I was in the past. Yes, I am still me, same personality, but on a better path.
Diane is 100% a role model and deserves a film of her own. How did she become The Crimson Paw? Did she also have criminal friends? Did they turn good like her or stay as criminals? The angst! What if she did leave her criminal friends behind in favor of a better life? The opposite of what Wolf experienced. At least for him, his friends turned good like him and are gonna fight crime from now on. But Diane looks like she's alone. No way she didn't have criminal friends, too, where are they? Did they refuse to turn good, and she had to leave them? Now, that would be tragic.
What was her path from bad to good like? Because you don't just decide to turn good on the spot. She must have experienced some things that led to her making that decision.
And I'm 100% sure with the message of this film, Diane faced a lot of backlash or "racist" comments as she ran for governor. (I just have to add in my head canon, I imagine her as a black woman because of this and her VA.) Especially in a society mostly made of humans. That would be an interesting moment in a film. Especially since this is an issue in real life. People of color who run for office have to face a lot of racism. It's just how it is. And I know Dreamworks would love to make fun of politics. They almost made Shrek 2 a political film about Pinocchio vs Gingy.
You have this badass character with a grand past that would make a great film. Just saying. It can be a prequel to Bad Guys or set after she met The Bad Guys. Like her past comes back to haunt her situation. I just need her to have her own film.
Kitty Soft Paws 🐾 Puss in Boots / The Last Wish
Tumblr media
Same as Diane! Interesting past!! And not just that, there's the whole declawing incident. She's one of the best disabled characters on the list with Hiccup and Toph from The Last Air Bender. Her disability is a part of her, and she makes it work to her own advantage. And I just feel like that adds a lot to her character. So much that it can be its own scene in a film. About her past when she was born on the streets before being taken in by new parents. Only for them to disabled her later on, and she is left asking why. What did she do to deserve this? I'm 100% on board for a story about a disabled woman learning how to survive on her own in the streets. Especially since this is a form of animal abuse. Owners declaw their cats, leave them behind, and leave them defenseless. And around 90% of the time, those cats die. Which would be interesting to see in Kitty's story. What if she did see Death while she was alone on the streets? And lost one of her lives because of her disability? That's why she values her nine lives more than Puss. She knows how valuable they are.
Did she have friends on the streets? Or in that household she used to live in? I would love to see her have friend's on the streets only for them to betray her just like she says in The Last Wish. What if she was friends with that hamster, but she accidentally hurt them, and that's why she was declawed. What if her friends on the streets were the ones who led her into a life of crime? They taught her how to survive but later on sell her out and betray her. This can answer how she ends up in a life of loneliness and crime.
And that's all we know about her past. What about all the adventures she had before meeting Puss? Heck, she's Mexican, so how did she even end up from Mexico to Spain? Did her owners move? Did she travel herself? How did she end up working for Humpty Dumty? We can have a film about her that includes Puss too, it doesn't have to be a prequel. Or it can be a sequal to The Last Wish where she meets an ex freind or ex partner from her past.
And let's not forget that segregation also exists in her universe. Fairytale animals seem to get a lot of hate and face discrimination. As shown in the 1st Shrek film. So maybe that also plays a part in why she became a thief. Life just doesn't role her way. Like Wolf said in The Bad Guys.
"These were cards we were dealt with, so we might as well play them."
Goldielocks 🐻The Last Wish
Tumblr media
The story of Goldielocks in The Last Wish is super cute and wholesome. Her relationship with the bears is too adorable, and I just want to join in their group hugs! But I need more!!! She's a run away orphan who became a criminal and joined a thieving family by breaking into their house, but they still adopted her!!! That format already sounds like a great story! It's just begging to be written!!! I want to see the adventures they went on, I want more cute family dynamics, I want more Baby vs Goldie sibling dynamics, I want more of everything!!! Her past would be so interesting. Why is she a perfectionist? Does it have to do with the orphanage she grew up in? Was her orphanage abusive and she had to escape it through imagination? Thinking about a family that would love and care for her? That be so interesting! Living in a poor orphanage that treats their kids harshly. Causing the kids to develop different traits like loneliness, attention seeking, or in Goldie's case, perfectionist. She could find comfort in fairytale books and dream about a family every night. Or maybe she was such a perfectionist because no one would adopt her. Thinking she's too demanding and needy. So she did everything in her power to be perfect for the best family. But no one would adopt her despite her efforts. So that's why she escaped, if no perfect family will adopte her, then she'll go find them herself. Because there has to be someone that'll love her for who she is, right? Now, the orphanage is searching for her, but Goldielocks is too slippery and learns how to survive the streets and develop thieving skills. Leading to her finding the bears.
I would also love to see a film about her adventures with her bear family set after The Last Wish. What kinds of adventures did they have?
Her concept just creates this blank page that is begging to be written on!!! Goldies personality just screams main character energy. Her confidence, her anger, her passion, her feistiness, she belongs in a main character role!
Tigress ☯️Kung Fu Panda
Tumblr media
*Takes in deep breath!!!*
Yeah, I'm not retyping all that. 😅 The post is about how she's such a well written female character. And a character like her just deserves to have the spotlight.
But some things I haven't said! We already have her back story of how she came to the Jade Palace and met the five. But what if we go further back? Like where does her biological family come from? We don't see any other tigers around either. Why was she left at the orphanage? Was her biological family in trouble? Could they not take care of her, or did they really not want their daughter. The only way I could see a film about her happening is if we continue the story wherever Kung Fu Panda leaves off. Set if after Kung Fu Panda 4 and have Po and Tigress switch roles. What I mean is this. Po has been going on a self-discovery adventure, and by his side was Tigress. She was always there for him emotionally, physically, and even spiritually. Making sure he was ok and going through his troubles the best and healthiest way he could. Who says Po can't do the same for her? Tigress can have her own story, and Po can tag along the same way she did in his story. He can be there for her and make sure she's ok as well. They just work so well together! I mean, LOOK AT THEM!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Beautiful dynamic!!!
I just feel like a film focusing on her would be great and come on! She deserves it! She's not just a badass warrior. She's a badass warrior who's also shy and sweet towards the ones she loves. Especially towards Po.
And I feel like this would make such a great metaphor for the Yin and Yang. She was there for him, and now he can be there for her. They have similar pasts. They're both orphans who were left behind for an unknown reason, or at least to Tigress, it's unknown while Po already found the answer. They both have a bond with their father figuers and try to do everything to make them happy. Po got to deepen his relationship with his adoptive father, and I would love to see Tigress do the same with Shifu.
Again, this would add a lot to their yin and yang metaphor. Similar pasts, but they still have personalities that are as different as night and day. Yet, when you put the two together, they work in harmony and balance each other out. In other words, GIVE TIGRESS THE SPOT LIGHT SO SHE CAN SHINE JUST LIKE PO ALREADY!!!! Their relationship will not be 100% balanced until they both get equal treatment!!!
But yeah! This is my list of characters that I believe deserve their own film or at least a little more attention. Any final thoughts from me? Not really, just that this took me a whole day to write. 😅 What a way to spend my birthday. I didn't even get to finish this on my birthday. 🤣 May 3rd was my birthday.

Ten Songs, Ten People
Thank you @justnerdy15! 😊
Tagging: @ceph-the-ghost-writer, @sunset-a-story, @nanashi23, @winterandwords, @coffeexafterxmidnight, @coffeewritesfiction, @klywrites, @angelsofprey, @catchingbigfish, @writinglittlebeasts
Rules: list ten songs, then tag ten people to pass the game on to! (bonus points if it's from a wip/character playlist!)
Note: some nsfw references, minors DNI
Lol I made everyone's favorite antagonist (Jeff) a ✨️vibes✨️ playlist as a joke with friends the other day so let's go with songs from that.
1. Lady Gaga - Poker Face (relevance: he's got one)
2. Smashmouth - All Star (relevance: on the Shrek soundtrack. Which is pretty much his favorite movie.)
3. Chumbawumba - Tubthumping (relevance: his general attitude in life)
4. Aqua - Lollipop (relevance: song he really likes to sing badly at 3 a.m. while drunk/high)
5. Toto - Africa (relevance: the owner of their favorite diner - Jimmy - gets emotional whenever this song plays on the jukebox. Jeff started a rumor that Jimmy's son died tragically by choking on a long piece of spaghetti, and that this song played at his funeral. He also calls the song "Toto Africa" every time, which annoys the shit out of Gabriel.)
6. Britney Spears - If U Seek Amy (relevance: thinks everyone desperately wants him 🙄)
7. Spacemere - Salmonella (relevance: one time Jeff convinced his roommate that it's actually totally safe to eat raw chicken, and that salmonella is just a conspiracy theory peddled by Big Pharma to sell antibiotics)
8. Village People - YMCA (relevance: he loves this song for some reason)
9. The Proclaimers - I'm On My Way (relevance: ok so some background context, 1) Gabriel NEVER takes the bus, 2) Jeff likes to try to convince Gabriel to do outlandish shit for shits and giggles, so one time in early 2002 he called Gabriel up for... basically a booty call at like 11 pm, but told him it was only gonna happen if he took the bus there and showed his bus ticket as proof. 💀 So anyways, a month or so later, this song plays at the aforementioned diner, and there's a line at one point in the song that's like "I took the bus," and Jeff goes [to Gabriel, in front of Daphne] "couldn't be you, except that one time. ;)" Gabriel proceeds to wish he could bury himself alive in the Earth while Daphne's all like, "You took the bus?? What?? When??")
10. AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long (relevance: likes partying and classic rock)

top five movies?
Thanks for the ask! I got this message right before I fell asleep last night so sorry for just now answering. In working through this list, it became pretty clear what I enjoy most about movies.
Knives Out (2019) Beautiful sets, fun script with biting social commentary, solid twisty mystery, excellent cast that's clearly having an absolute blast, and a great soundtrack? Yeah this is a winner. Really the only thing I would change is Marta's tell. I hated the vomit gag.
Pride and Prejudice (2005) Is the BBC 1995 miniseries more book accurate? Yes. But Joe Wright nails the aesthetic of the era even if he's not quite as "accurate." Gorgeous cinematography, another excellent ensemble cast, a script that distills the story to its best elements, and captivating music? You had me at hello.
The Lord of the Rings (2001-2003) I'm counting them as one and I'm referring to the extended editions. The ultimate medieval fantasy genre epic that needs no introduction. The books are great too, but idk for my enjoyment value you can't beat the movies. I really can't think of how to make them better. Yes, there's always additional lore to add and characters that get cut for time and clarity (sorry Tolkien, you know you ramble) but the choices that were made are excellent.
The Princess Bride (1987) I can't tell you how many times I watched this movie growing up because my mom loves it. This film didn't do great in theaters but exploded on VHS. I can practically quote the entire thing. Again, the snarky dialogue is 2/3 the fun. Another great cast. I love turning genre tropes on their head and having fun. More good music and a fun blend of good production choices mixed with intentionally campy elements. The comedy with a heart of gold that sneaks up on you.
Shrek 2 (2004) An oddball choice. Honestly I prefer this one to the original. Great animation for the era (honestly watch it again, it's almost 20 years old and it still looks good. RIP me noticing that it's that old), great original story, the jokes are sharp, the voice acting is fun, and every song is a banger. Seriously, the Holding Out For A Hero cover is unironically fantastic.
You come from my side blog, so you might be surprised by no Top Gun or Top Gun: Maverick. Honestly, TG:M is up there on the list and would make my top 10 because it's a fun watch. OG Top Gun is so very 80s and was my dad's favorite movie in the 90s so I saw it a lot. It gets points for soundtrack, cast, and cinematography but lacked in story and gets a heavy cringe ding imo. Honestly he might have watched Hot Shots just as much so sometimes I forget what was in TG and what was actually HS lol.

Wishing you all happy holidays! Take care ♥
okay so here are my reactions for the plays!
Mother Goose:
Amazing! Great great show, silly just like I like. You forget everything for two hours! Lot of fandom jokes -Lotr for Ian obviously, as a comedian and DW for John.
A few jokes à la Shrek, meaning that the kid will laugh but the adults will get the real meaning ;)
And lucky enough to see John Bishop before the show, just as I was coming back from my run to Sainsbury's.

Good
Well honestly I was so exhausted from the day, and it's pretty heavy to get. Lot of characters played by the other actors with DT, the switch was nicely done but damn you have to stay focus.
Much as The Crucicle, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. But we did get DT doing a song with a little dance and it was super cute!
After the show he did autographs, and after signing he was looking into your soul while saying thank you. A man (around 50) was overjoyed because he asked him to sign 'to Alonso' and he did. What a cutie!
(Also appreciating that he was also masked because I felt pretty lonely all day between the train, underground, shops and plays...)

Introduction (what you can find here)
Tumblr media
🐾 About me 🐾
Hey there! You can call me Loan, I'm a 20 year old boy looking for a place to share the stuff that I create, whether it's for a project I intend to work on for the rest of my life or just some dumb spontaneous idea. I'm shy but I don't bite! (I do actually)(but only if you're mean you can trust me I swear)
I'm a furry, this blog isn't about that specifically but yeah maybe don't follow if you think that's cringy (cringey? idk). I will likely talk about giftedness, autism and maladaptive daydreaming every now and then since that's part of uh, my life? I also just, think a lot, not in a smart academic way but rather in a stupid this-shouldn't-be-that-deep-stop-overthinking-it way. Sometimes it's funny.
I will mainly post in English but you might see some stuff in Spanish, though I try to translate everything.
⚝───⭑───⚝──⭒─⭑─⭒──⚝───⭑───⚝
👻 Stuff I'll post about 👻
The Justacireo saga: This is my current most important writing project, it's all I've cared about since I was a kid and though I don't expect to finish it anytime soon, I wanted a space where I could share my ideas about it as I work on it. It is a series of stories, some heavily connected, some not so much, set in the same high fantasy world and aimed mainly towards a preteen to late teen audience.
Imaginary friends: I have about eight of them in particular that I will talk about often, I'll make introduction posts for them soon.
Art: Mainly writing and drawing, I'm not a professional but you can expect to see personal projects and works as well as tips, ideas or fun games/excercises.
Stimboards/Aesthetics: Haven't made any yet, but I want to start!
Playlists: I have a lot that I made for myself but have been too shy to share, hopefully I'll start being more open with them.
Pets?: Maybe, if I ever feel like it, since I love my 2 cats and dog so much.
Random thoughts: Other things like fandom stuff, jokes, philosophical thoughts or anything in my list of interests that crosses my mind.
Nature: Mainly animals but I enjoy anything related to nature or biology. I also have a particular interest in the ocean and dinosaurs, and my favourite animals are orcas and lynxes (is that the plural form?).
⚝───⭑───⚝──⭒─⭑─⭒──⚝───⭑───⚝
👁 Interests 👁
Horror: You'll likely find some monster art and scary short stories here! I'll put content warnings when they are necessary though, obviously.
Mythological creatures/cryptids/monsters: I don't know too much about cryptozoology but I want to learn! I also just like making up creatures and such.
Psychology: I'm not as obsessed as I was a while ago but I definitely talk about it a lot.
Games:
The Sims
The Arcana (side blog!)
Our Life: Beginnings and Always
Nekra Psaria (if you haven't played it yet do it now)
Minecraft
Spiritfarer
The Hunter
Club Penguin lol
Escape games in general (flash I miss u)
Flight Rising
Shows/movies:
She-ra and the Princesses of Power
The Amazing World of Gumball
Ghibli films (Ponyo is my favourite!)
The Babadook (fav horror film)
Inside Job
Mölang
Happy Tree Friends
Disney (mostly from the 3D era, I don't remember the old films much)
How to Train your Dragon
Shrek
Megamind
Alice in Wonderland (the live action ones, sorry don't remember the animated one)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Jurassic World (I did watch the old ones but I don't remember them don't come at me)
Others:
The Magnus Archives (podcast)
Musicals (mainly Starkid)
The Neverending Story (favourite book)

Conversation
Talking with ENTP
Brief backstory, ENTP's is/was my INFJ best friend's ex-boyfriend (it's complicated). She left to NY for law school, ENTP followed her along and they lived together until they just had issues. I ran into him the other day at a party.
ENFJ: ENTP? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in New York?
ENTP: INFJ and I are on a break and I missed home so I'm back in town.
ENFJ: I'm sorry to hear about that.
ENTP: You know INFJ better than I do. She can be...
ENFJ: Volatile?
ENTP: Yeah.
ENFJ: You coping OK? I know how rough breakups can be especially ones where the other party's like hundreds of miles away.
ENTP: That's the thing though I don't know if we're broken up or not. She just shut me out.
ENFJ: Did you try talking to her?
ENTP: Yeah but she wouldn't hear it.
ENFJ: Was flying back home on a whim a good idea? What did you do?
ENTP: Honestly, she wanted space and I let her know. Also, I may have joked about the future.
ENFJ: Noooooooo. That's like INFJ's biggest pet peeve. You know how superstitious she is!
ENTP: Yeah, I couldn't resist.
A quick second of silence. I can sort of see the gears in ENTP's head turning.
ENTP: What should I do? I know you aren't her but you have similar energies.
ENFJ: I can't tell you what to do.
ENTP: OK let's frame it from the perspective of that ex you have from that breakup you mentioned. What could have he done to get back in your good graces?
ENFJ: Dude, I'm just going to list a bunch of cheesy romcom tropes. Um... in his case continue to exist, put his love life on hold voluntarily for like 2 years, then turn up out of the blue and rekindle stuff from there.
ENTP: I can't do that! Quick solutions, please.
ENFJ: Maybe that's why INFJ's pissed with you? You move way too fast.
ENTP: You said cheesy romcom tropes...
ENFJ: If INFJ calls me up to complain about you doing some grand gesture, I'm not going down with you.
ENTP: I could play our song on a boombox over our window. The neighbors will kill us.
ENFJ: What is your song?
ENTP: I'm a Believer. The Shrek one. Also, your ex... did he do all of that? I'm just trying to register how that'd work out.
ENFJ: That's completely irrelevant.
ENTP: So the boombox thing...

5 Animated Films Ranked.
Now I'm excluding Disney films for this one because they can fit into so many different categories but Disney/Pixar is still ok.
5. The LEGO Batman Movie: Yes seriously. This was not only a great Lego movie, with updated CGI, world building and a great cast, it was also an epic Batman movie. This Batman felt like a realistic look at what Batman would be like if he was a combination of all other film Batman's (batmen?). The film goes out of it's way to show how ridiculously arrogant and isolated he is, but still manages to have one of the best thought out and well executed character arcs of any DC hero ever. If you loved the original LEGO movie (or Deadpool because they're on similar levels of meta), go see this.
4. Shrek 2: Shrek 1 was a brilliant film that actually put up a challenge to the unstoppable machine that was Disney/Pixar. Shrek 2 just doubled on the momentum of the first, expanding the world and having a surprisingly mature theme for what was a "kids" movie. The animation looks a little clunky now but it's still a fun watch. DreamWorks never shies away from making adult jokes so even if you're older, they're always fun to re-watch.
3. How to Train your Dragon 2: How to Train your Dragon is a beautiful "coming of age" and "boy and his dog/girl and her horse" story. Httyd2 ages up the characters and allows them to explore the consequences of the previous movie. Hiccup, now that he has convinced the people of Burk that dragons are actually great, is looking for his place in the world, and almost fatally believes that anyone he comes across can be convinced of the fact that Dragons and humans can live together peacefully. The story isn't particularly complicated, but it challenges our heros in a way that has to happen for the continuation of their story. The animation is absolutely gorgeous, and the voice cast are incredible as per usual. This movie took everything the first one did and made it better.
2. The Incredibles: This movie was everyone's childhood. Brad Bird made something special out of the superhero genre. Up until it's release, superhero movies were basically Batman and Superman, with Xena and Hercules on TV. They were strong individuals who got the girl because of their heroic actions but there was no suspension of disbelief. Bird created a superhero film turned on its head. The entire movie is about a family of heros who have no choice but to work together to protect each other, saving the world is almost an afterthought. Everything that happens in the movie (bar the ending) has a satisfying payoff. The phrase "magic in the mundane" perfectly describes this film. Sure, they have secret messages that blow up, but that means that the sprinklers turn on and they have to dry the books out with hairdryers. If you haven't seen this movie you're missing out.
1. Toy Story 2: You knew it had to be one of the Toy Story's. In 1995 (yes really) a small company called Pixar decided to create a fully CGI animated film. A former Lucasfilms enterprise, they were no stranger to reinventing cinema. Toy Story was a heartwarming story about what happens when we leave the room and our toys remain, and it proved that CGI animation was the way forward. Toy story 2 added extra dimension to the world. What about when we collect toys, or when we stop playing with them? Toy Story 2 was the existential crisis for the series. Emotional in ways you'd expect out of an Oscar nominated Drama film, Toy Story 2 plays with your heartstrings masterfully. The first film had an almost Buddy Cop feel, this film separates our main characters and forces them to undergo their own individual soul searching. The additions to the cast feel natural and easy and the world doesn't feel as though the two stories are happening in different worlds. If you haven't seen this movie you are missing out.
Honourable Mentions:
The Iron Giant
Shrek
Toy Story
Toy Story 3
Finding Nemo
Spiderman Into the Spiderverse
Brave
Spirit
The Road to El Dorado
Up
Well, lots of sequels on that list it seems. We always have this thought in the back of our minds that the sequel never quite lives up to the original, but I think that is more an issue with Disney animations or larger, live action films. Animated films seem to have found the right balance between expanding the world the stories are told in, and keeping enough the same so your don't feel like you've been thrown into the deep end.
So, what do you guys think? Did I miss an obvious choice? Feel free to agree or disagree, and please feel free to message me or send asks, I'm always happy to explain my choices.
