My current muse is Andrea "Andy" Pereira, an OC from the Parks & Rec fandom who is in a queerplatonic relationship with another one of my creations Stephen Sebastian Knope-Wyatt. (I know technically he's canonised as of the farewell season, but due to my interpretations and heavy cultivation of a personality and life-story for him, I consider him oc-status. If you will... a #Schrödinger'sOC, as I've come to dub these types of characters.)

Andy doesn't have a face claim currently, but she does have a pinterest board which includes a general visage close to the one I hold in my head. In terms of visuals, the closet I have come to finding an fc is Sophia Black-D'elia (image at bottom), but I'm not completely sold on her. For now, Andrea remains officially face-claim-less.

Several items make me think of her, such as big hiking backpacks or converse shoes paired with flannel, but I think the most 'Andy' object would be those white, tin mugs you take on camping trips for your morning coffee. Her favourite thing? Opening up the back of her offroading vehicle and screwing on the gas canister for her little JetBoil stove to make coffee at 5:30 am just so she can watch the sun rise with a hot drink in her hand. She started doing this long before she met Stephen, long before she even left South America.

Andy's favourite colour is the kind of orange you only see in a mountain sunset, somewhere where the air is so clear you cannot smell the industrialisation anymore. Somewhere where the water runs crystalline blue and the birds cross the sky without a flap in their wings, the smoothest soar. A place where no one knows; a sunset no one else will ever see. An orange so vibrant, it's fire without the burn. An orange she would never have seen in the smoggy, polluted city she grew up in.

In her spare time, she loves kicking back with a good book. While a solid majority of the time, you can find her pushing the boundary of human-recognised lands, she isn't above every now and again recollecting herself with a sit in and a good book, especially if she and Stephen find a good place to park their van on some West Coast desert land. Oh, with the sun shining down just right... after whipping out the camp stove to make a little noontime meal... She'll set up her canvas chair, take out her current read, and while away the rest of the daylight hours getting lost in the words.

Due to the nature of her living situation right now (aka: she lives a nomadic life in a van), she has a lot more spare time than most people do these days. That being said, she still has a job to ensure that she can afford this lifestyle. She (very strictly, might I add) makes sure her work doesn't go past 5pm, as she is very conscience of the line between "work" and "rest", guarding her free time with her life. Andy believes there is more to life than work. She believes, first and foremost, in experiences and living.

Not particularly a fact I love about them (although it's not like I hate the fact lolol) but a fact I'm proud of creating for her is about her origin town as it weaves its way into who her character is currently. She was raised on the cusp of poverty in a city where the streets were dingy and the air a polluted, breathing hazard. Growing up, she hated it and would often spend her afternoons picking up trash along the sidewalks of her neighbourhood. As soon as she was able to, Andy left home for wider, cleaner pastures (so to speak). She saved up money in a piggybank all her teen years to backpack in the Andes, which wasn't enough by far but that didn't stop her; with an old rucksack, a sleeping bag given to her by one of the climbers she met passing through her town one day, and plastic baggies of food and safety equipment and toiletries, she set off. The people she met along the trail, some of them became her friends, and one of them... became her best friend: Stephen Sebastian Knope-Wyatt. That was the first time he helped her out of a jam (after all, she was ill-prepared for backpacking despite her best efforts), and since, they've been helping each other since.

Who is your current muse, and who is their faceclaim/what do they look like?

Feeling like Ryoko right now. She doesn't have any official faceclaim yet, but I've used Li Bingbing and Fan Bingbing as unofficial ones for her because they both have had roles with white hair. Ryoko has two forms, her godly form and her human form. In her god form, she has white hair, golden eyes, and depending on how much of her powers she's using, her eyes and hair can turn to flames. In human form she appears like a normal woman, with black hair and dark brown eyes.

What is one item that you associate without fail to them?

Her sword! Ancient magical item she's had for her whole life. It's basically her comfort item by now.

What is their favourite colour?

Red.

Is there a song you associate with them? If not, what quote fits the best for them?

I've always associated the song Teen Idle with her, as well as Day One by Twelve Titans Music.

I've also got a quote for her: "When is a monster not a monster?/Oh, when you love it."

What do they like doing in their spare time? How much spare time do they get?

Ryoko likes to read! Fiction mostly, she wants to see what new stories humans are creating and putting out into the world. She has a lot of spare time (centuries of it) but not really the space to relax as much as she'd like. She's on the move a lot.

What one fact do you love about them, but might not have had the chance to share yet?

She has NEVER had an iteration where she didn't get attached to someone. She's always had a calmer, cooler personality and she's trying SO HARD to not get attached to anyone because She's A Monster/She's Immortal getting Attached to Humans is a Bad Idea but the truth is she gets attached SO EASILY.

1.) who felt romantic feelings first? definitely robin! homie was crushing on mitch from the get-go when they both got hired for scoops ahoy! mitch was more sexually attracted to her until those feelings, obviously, brewed to become more romantic and serious.

2.) what’s their height difference? okay,,, so here’s the thing. sophie thatcher’s height is 5′6″, but i envision mitch to be 5′2″. she gives me “i’m tiny and full of fury” vibes and her being really short is just so funny to me ( especially because i’m also making eddie 6′1″ for funsies ). so we’re going based off that! so mitch is 5′2″ and robin is 5′8″!

3.) age difference? they’re both the same age! technically, mitch is a bit older because she’s born in january ( a capricorn babe ), and i headcanon robin is a june gemini! but yeah, still the same age!

4.) do they prefer verbal or physical affection? mitch is VERY physical! verbal affection is really not her forte because 1.) she sucks at communicating her feelings and 2.) she’s not very mushy/lovey-dovey. robin, on the other hand, love mitch’s physical affection, but she does tend to overthink a bit. so sometimes mitch has to talk robin down from her fast-paced brain and attempt to be more communicative about her feelings so robin doesn’t have a heart attack. what mitch says isn’t the most romantic thing in the world, but, hey, it gets the job done!

5.) how do they celebrate holidays? they tend to keep holidays very lowkey EXCEPT halloween! it’s the one time of year they go ALL out and i mean fake blood, months crafting costumes, mitch doing both of their makeup, decorations, etc. halloween is go big or go home! everything else is just chill vibes.

“Hey, Eddie! You got mail!” his uncle called out to him.

Eddie turned down his amp. “What?”

The doorknob to his room opened and Wayne poked his head in. “I said you got mail. From someone named Belle?”

“Belle?”

“That’s what I said. Maybe you need to turn down the music,” Wayne passed the envelope to him. It was just a simple envelope, nothing too fancy. “Who’s Belle?”

“She’s -” how could he explain her? She was the girl he had been trying to get to know forever. Belle laughed at his jokes, made him feel seen. Made him feel like he wasn’t the freak everyone thought he was. “She’s a girl from school. Haven’t seen her though. Her brother says she went to stay with her relatives for a bit.”

“Must be some girl,” Wayne gave him a smirk before closing the door. Thank god he could sense the tension in the room that the envelope brought with it.

Eddie tore open the envelope. Inside was a Christmas card. Only a simple addition of a dragon wrapped around a Christmas tree made it personal. A smile spread on his face as he opened it. 

On the one side it said “Peace, Love, and Joy.”

But it was what was written underneath that mattered. Not that there was much there. “All I want for Christmas this year is to finally play Dungeons and Dragons with you and Hellfire. Merry Christmas Eddie.”

“Merry Christmas Belle,” he said to the air. He placed the card on his bedside table. Looks like it wasn’t going to be that bad a Christmas.

Cassie Lewis had always believed that being a demigod would fix her problems – not create more. Developing a chronic insomnia problem at the age of six, Cassie only lasted a few years before she became too much to deal with for her mother, sending her to Camp Half-Blood for the first time. However, even amongst kids just like her she became an outlier, and instead of returning home after the summer, Cassie ran away. She was eleven when she first met Luke Castellan. Two years older, weary, and even more defensive than Cassie was, Luke became something she never imagined she would have; a friend. Together, the two young children tried to survive the world around them, along the way picking up two other demigod children, Thalia and Annabeth. Though, eventually, Cassie grew to care for Thalia and Annabeth in their own right, she never quite loved anyone quite as much as she loved Luke. Perhaps that’s what made it all the more difficult when she began to dream of Luke betraying her. Camp Half-Blood should have been the thing that saved him. A place where Luke could learn about himself, and the Gods, and grow into someone different. Someone who wouldn’t destroy everyone in his path for revenge. She was foolish to think that anyone could avoid their destiny, no matter how terrible.

Summary:

Benjamin Lee Hopper was born on July 4th,1967. He was a product of a one-night stand between a woman named Ellen and his father Jim Hopper. He first met his dad when he was only two weeks old after being left on his dad's front porch with a note from his mother claiming he didn’t want him.

As Ben got older, he started having weird dreams, most of the time it would have been shrugged off by his dad and then stepmother Diane as it being a normal child having vivid dreams. But then the dreams started turning into nightmares right before his little sister Sarah got sick. His parents couldn’t pay much attention to Ben at that point since they were focused on trying to get Sarah well, but then she ended up dying. 

The nightmares had gotten worse after that. It ended up getting to the point where one terrifying night on September 7th,1979 his dad rushed him to the doctor to help get rid of them. 

It had worked for a while but years later, in 1983, Ben's dreams were back. He was dreaming of a girl in a hospital gown and then Will screaming right before he went missing. 

Every year after that… the dreams would get worse and worse, with different monsters and threats to his friends and family.

❝ Yami Corvo had lived their entire life surrounded by blood. They had come into the world soaked in their mother’s; they had had it wiped off of them with a warm cloth as a child, after skinning their knees or getting into a fight with other kids. But it wasn’t until they had stumbled across a Devil Fruit as a child and eaten it, gaining the power to manipulate the blood in their own veins and form it into weapons, that the blood that surrounded them had become dirty and tainted. After eating that Devil Fruit, Corvo had become little more than a monster to those around them, even their own parents - they had been taunted, attacked, told that they were nothing but a beast who was only good for killing, until they had even come to believe it themself and run away from the town where they had been born and raised, determined to escape the cruelty of those around them and resigned to becoming a cruel individual themself.

And so they had. Over the years, Corvo had become one of the most feared names in all four Blues, an assassin with a terrifying power who would slaughter whoever they were paid to slaughter and showed no mercy for anyone, the type of person children would use to scare their younger siblings by telling them stories about how the beast lurked under their bed. Not that they wanted to be, deep down, but they had been taught that it was who they were supposed to be, and who were they to doubt those who had told them that for years? So they kept killing, kept fulfilling what they thought was their destiny, hating themself more and more with every job until they were secretly praying that someone would fight back and finally kill them so that they could be put out of their misery… until they were approached with the impossible task of killing Dracule Mihawk, one of Seven Warlords of the Seas.

They had failed, of course - they doubted there were very many people who could possibly kill the world’s greatest swordsman. But Mihawk had also seen something in them as they lay on that beach with his blade at their throat, waiting for the death they had wanted for years, something that made him spare their life and offer them a life travelling with him, causing chaos all over the East Blue and occasionally carrying out the Marines’ dirty work. Corvo would never be able to properly tell anyone why they’d accepted his offer - maybe it was to make him suffer their company as revenge for not killing them the way they’d wanted, more than likely it was because they were desperate for companionship after so many years alone - but they had, and ever since they have travelled the Blues with him, getting into fights and doing the bidding of the Marines where necessary, forming a dangerous duo that has developed a reputation even more infamous than Corvo’s previous one.

And then Mihawk introduces them to Shanks, a pirate captain with ties to the young upstart whose first mate Mihawk has just recently beaten in battle. Shanks, who is bright, jovial, and unfailingly compassionate… and who seems to want to direct his beautiful attention onto Corvo, to spend time with them, no matter how much they don’t deserve it.

The more time they spend in the company of Shanks and his band of Red Hair Pirates, the more light Corvo finds making its way into their world that has been so dark for so long. And the closer they get to Shanks, the more they can feel the gentle, calm waters of his soul washing away the blood that has always stained their own - and no matter how much they’re certain they don’t deserve it, they want nothing more than to let this beautiful, smiling pirate captain break down their walls and wash the blood away completely. ❞
