I tend to detach myself from Cole when I'm writing for him so I know that I'm putting him through it but I don't really feel what I'm putting him through but this song just- threw me like-

Oh my god like dude this recommendation literally just changed the entire way I look at this fic- I guess it just suddenly hit me the emotions that Cole's been feeling especially during the finale with "time to cut the motor" and "what's the point of closure" like I'm now realizing what it really meant to Cole to have to make the split second choice to truly lose everything and with the "it's been real nice to know ya" him having to look back on all the nice memories he has of Jay being his best friend and then having fun and seeing each other like the goddamn sun-

And then to have that ripped away and having to make that call like-
