Alright. So, the gange fought el bosso. To remind you who we got, it's Yew the Silent Deer Sorcerer, Wessly the Perceptive Human Druid, Link the Problematic Cat Alchemist, T the Amnesiac Human Fighter, and Gumgum the Gay Goomba Craftsman. (He jokingly rolled for "Homosexuality" and rolled a nat 20). The boss was Ivan, the King of Thieves, and his 2 bandit captains.

So, the enemy plan: Toss burning barrels of oil at the party from the safety of their room

The party: *sets all the barrels on fire at once, causing an explosion onto the enemy*

Well, uh... shit, 8d6 fire damage ig. Alllright, that's fine, Ivan is strong.

2 attacks, +8 to hit, 1d8+5+con save against poisoned condition and 2d8 poison damage or extra 2d8 poison damage if already poisoned, +4d6 sneak attack once per turn-

Which, yes, is a lot, but to be fair, after the fireball its basically 5v1.5, so, the party beat him to a pulp immediately, which he then used his cloak of the mountebank to leave the area cus he want live and not die.

After that, the party got LOT of loot cus these bandits were actually somewhat rich. What can I say, banditing pays well. For the leader, i mean-

3 chests of gold and items, a bit of rare items and cool ass items. Specifically avoiding giving them a bag of holding, though. They all dumped strength, now they suffer in low carrying capacity-

Anyways, Amnesiac fighter got cursed boots and a nice rope of climbing, Troublesome Alchemist got headband of smarts and became dumbn't, also got a cool item, All-seeing Druid got Heward's Handy Spice Pouch, Storm Boomerang, and Nature's Mantle, Gumgum got Flametongue... dagger, +1 Longsword, and a Tankard of Plenty. Yew is my dmpc and I don't want them to hog magic items, so, they were fine with no items, but did get 2 heal potions.

So, Gumgum bought like 2 cursed items that I forgot from a cursed item seller and also managed to get Gauntlets of Ogre Power for basically 99% off, Link got a cursed wand of fear, and Wessly got a cursed wand of magic missile and an uncursed moon sickle, Yew bought a wand of winter that didn't actually get a curse-

T didn't buy anything

Link pissed off some party members, had a talk with T after injecting them with a Truth Serum which revealed a lot of surprising info from both, and then made dinner alongside Wessly. Yew just sat with their Deer familiar by a lake, and contemplated their new party.

Link talked with the demon he works for, and Wessly got a sending stone to talk with an NPC. Party leveled up to 5 and rested.

Gumgum finally grew to 2 mini goombas. Goombi? Goomba's? Geemba?-

Because mushroom logic. (Woo, we got Gumgumgum and Gumgum jr.)

Oh, and T's cursed boots are slowly turning him into Bnuuy.

rev and caustic r obvious answers so i'll name 3 others. Fuse because he's boring and obnoxious and kinda contributes nothing except being BH's love interest and the reason Maggie joins. like i feel like you could cut Fuse out of apex entirely and with minimal rewrites everything still functions the same. He just feels really irrelevent. tbh i didn't hate him until the past few seaons when Fuse/hound started really ramping up and I couldn't escape seeing him which just made me more annoyed every time I saw him. overexposure ig

hate mirage cuz he hogs so much screentime and has like 3 character traits the writers bring up over and over without doing anything new so people can go AUGGH MIRAGE SADDEST CHARACTER EVER 🥺🥺🥺 and yall somehow fall for it when its the same piece of info literally every time. like how many times do they need to remind you evelyn has dementia. give him a storyline already. i have two: 1. he is kind of jacked under that jacket. he is not a twink. he has muscles. not like fuse or gibraltar, and he doesn't have shredded abs like seer and octane, but he's built after years of working out and when he wears a tight t-shirt, you can See. Percieve Them. and 2. he has ADHD (and a paranoia disorder).

i know the more popular hc for him is autistic which is VALID but i personally read him more as ADHD who developed a paranoia disorder due to his circumstances and both of those things combined are why he's so fidgety and messes around with his jacket and puzzle cube a lot

selena gomez is one of taylor’s oldest and bestest friends and given that she is in the 22 liner notes, a huge part of taylor’s life, and maybe fruity herself it seems like possibly we don’t talk about her here at the blog enough!

i don’t want to do a timeline of selena and taylor’s friendship - you can read more about that here, but they met back in the day when they were both dating jonas brothers and to me this idea of finding a real friendship in the midst of these contrived promances is pretty adorable.

Okay! So to all my queers and gays who were deeply disappointed with The Happiest Season, I’d like to share with you all something I just sent a friend who asked me about what my fantasy re-write of the movie would be. Now...be gentle with me, I have NEVER even ATTEMPTED anything close to screen writing ever before, but I tried, and I liked it and I wanted to share? So....here goes nothing:

Okay, my rewrite ending is that Jon takes Abby home and stays with her for the night. The gas station scene with Harper showing up does NOT happen. They have another talk about how just because Harper isn't ready to come out doesn't speak to her love for Abby but it also doesn't excuse her actions...to try to cheer Abby up/distract her, he admits to killing the fish. Abby laughs and as she is drifting off to sleep, Riley messages her just to check in and let her know she's here for her cause solidarity ✊🏽. The next day, Harper shows up and John is super protective but Abby gives him the okay that she at least wants to hear Harper out, they have a conversation in John's kitchen that goes something along the lines of: (don't laugh at me I've never tried screen writing!!)

Harper hesitantly approaches Abby and stops short at the kitchen counter, eyes glossy with tears and lower lip trembling.

There is an awkward silence.

Harper: I....was awful to you.

Abby: *wraps her arms around herself* I think we've pretty much established that somewhere between breaking up and you screaming at your parents that you aren't gay right in front of me and about 100 other people...*she looks away, trying to keep the tears trekking down her face hidden*

Harper: *Takes a step closer* I know...I know, and I'm so sorry *she takes a shuddering breath* but I also know that "I'm sorry" isn't good enough but I, at the very least, needed you to know that I own up to how absolutely shitty I was being. I put you back in the closet, I lied to you, I gaslit you, I didn't defend you, I hurt you in a really vicious and vulnerable way all because I was too afraid to even admit how terrified I was and that wasn't fair to you, to the life we built together, to the love that we h- the love that we *she swallows, hard, forcing out the word* the love we had

Harper stares at the ring in a stunned silence, her jaw dropping, fresh tears coming in earnest.

Abby: *cutting her off* yeah, I was going to ask your dad for his permission, big traditional gay Christmas, and instead I got shoved aside for Connor, accused of being a thief, told that I was suffocating, and pretty much denounced in front of your entire family

From that point, Harper gives her speech that she gave in the gas station scene but instead of immediately taking Harper back, she thanks her but tells her she needs time.

Montoge of them both spending Christmas separately. Harper sits with Jane and learns about her book, their dad sits with Sloane and learns more about her gift baskets. Riley FaceTimes Abby to wish her a Merry Christmas and eventually comes over hours later and hangs out with her and John, we see Abby and Riley's connection growing.

Finally, the montoge ends and it's now the day before New Year's Eve. Abby is alone in her bedroom staring at pictures on her phone of Harper that eventually fade into lighthearted Christmas selfies of her, John, and Riley, Abby lingers on a picture that's just her and Riley, she smiles the first genuine smile in about a week. She begins to make a phone call but the audience doesn't see who she's calling, we only hear "what are you doing New Years Eve?" To a time lapse scene of her getting ready for the plans she made over the phone. She finally arrives at a local club where she sees Riley and John, she gives them each a hug and Riley gives her a knowing smile and a wink before shoving her over to where Harper is waiting for her, alone and fidgeting.

Abby goes over to her and gives her a small half smile as she plops down into the seat across from her.

Abby: you can be....such an asshole sometimes. Plus you snore, you hog the covers, and your cooking...leaves a lot to be desired

Harper deflates a little, twisting in her chair ever so slightly as if to leave but Abby grabs her hand and laces their fingers together.

Abby: but...you're also brilliant, and you always make my coffee just right, and you sing in the shower when you're happy, and even though I'm not...ready to propose after what happened...I'm not ready to call it quits just yet

The count down to midnight begins

Abby: do you still want to be my girlfriend?

Harper gives a watery chuckle, eyes brimming over with tears, the count down is continuing as she leans over the table and kisses Abby as the clock strikes midnight, the cacphony of the new year muted as they share an intimate kiss inside their soft romantic bubble.

The rest of the movie ends the same with the IG post montoge, Jane's book reading, and the A Wonderful Life movie theatre scene and all that.

I don’t actually write at all but … I do have thoughts!!! Mixtures of all sorts of sources

Richie big spoon. Likes to feel like he protecc

They have a large bed and don’t really have to care about blanket hogging, but I see Richie as a cold feet directly on ur legs now kinda guy. Steve runs warm in comparison so it rarely fails to make him jump but he’s started to just be a reflexive kicker. All these reasons also benefit Richie being big spoon. If something triggers childhood memories (normal or pennywise. Vintage clown dolls, teenage werewolves, etc) he does like to be held tho. Just curls up and wraps Steve around him and he goes. Teasing lightly.

Richie CAN cook, I’m thinking just like American food classics and Steve can cook like good food but with what time. They order out and make a romantic still-in-box dinner on the couch over much else. Pjs and fuzzy socks>suits and candles and stuffy expensive restaurants for these guys

Pre return to Derry I see richie as still struggling w his sexuality and being out (for various reasons!) but very into Steve, and when he can see himself in a world where he is out he like to see himself in a really long term (maybe even marriage(but does he say this to himself?)) relationship w Steve. but pre return to Derry Steve isn’t so sure. I (for simplicity!) see him as from the LA area(or just, bigger city depending on version ig) and much more down about being out, if not professionally then at least to family, friends, etc. And while he definitely loves rich, and respects his boundary’s of being raised catholic from a small town, he doesn’t know if he can live his life like that and it is a point of contention in their relationship even if Richie doesn’t fully acknowledge it. Post Derry, Richie is able to open up and I think they have a good shot.

They own one large dog together and as Richie (and subsequently his manager,) get more popular and successful they get bigger houses and more small dogs. Big Dog essentially corrals the small ones. It’s adorable. Imagine seeing this on the beach.

They like beach days! No one recognizes famous comedian Richie tozier w his shirt off and sun glasses on, the dogs are adorable. The house they own probably has some private beach area (LA richie bb). Richie likes cliches and jokes with helping put on sunscreen both bc with years of trauma and internalized homophobia it helps him deal with touching his SO publicly and also he has a terrible sense of humor. Also coming from Maine I think he’s glad to just roast in the sun for awhile. Was terrible about it early on. Steve makes sure he’s thorough about it now as more of a inside joke.

steve had to persuade Richie into getting prescription sunglasses. Sandy probably tried, but was unsuccessful bc Richie was too damn funny wearing sunglasses over his already large glasses or just going straight blind w sunglasses originally. Steve convinces him to use some of that money they’ve been making to finally treat himself and stop being a fuckin dork on the beach.  

when gay marriage was legalized Richie, drunk as a skunk, does ask Stevey to marry him(half bad joke, half cos we can, half repression). This is taken badly bc it’s prereturn to Derry and rich will just let them hold hands in public. Also because. Steve does want to marry him, if he can let down some walls and talk to him. Richie just doesn’t want to be that person yet. So drunk joke ‘because we can’ proposals hurt.

Their wedding. like, early 2018. So like my perfect wedding is a duo w benverly, rich and bev are both in white back to back on the alter. Richie and steve absolutely cake each other, none even makes it to eithers mouths, in perfect contrast to bev and Ben carefully and cutely feeding each other. Terrible choreographed group first dance. Bill gives a speech the losers mostly let him get thru w/o jokes. Their dogs all have cute little ties.  VERY small and w lots of security (but like. Far off somewhere) bc what are all this rich fucks doing having weddings together. The rag magazines are fuming they can’t get any info

Also patty is there bc stan was always supposed to be his best man.even when richie didnt remember him he knew he was missing his best stan the man. 

SPORTS Steve is in to em. I dunno which bc I’m NOT but I say Richie has a passing appreciation for baseball but not hockey at all. Anyways Steve is regular sport supporter as much as the next guy but Richie just says shit and heckles and HAS been chased but upset fans after a game. Steve will not let this pass bc as much fun as that was he would like to enjoy a game and post game like, normally. Richie is well, a rich comedian so maybe the get a box sometimes but they’re both guys that like being in the crowd and loudness of it all.
