Soooooo~... Tomorrow's Memorial Day and I actually had this piece finished beforehand! I thought I should leave this piece a day early. Again, I've never really watched the old Donkey Kong animated series, but just like I made a custom take on Kaptain Skurvy, I wanted to make a custom take on General Klump! I felt Klump would be a great thing to draw for Memorial Day, as well as to pay tribute to all of our troops in the US Army and my late grandfather who was a war veteran. The friendship dynamic between Klump and Dixie Kong was actually very heartwarming even though they had to spend the rest of the series separated after K. Rool readmitted him under his rule. I'd like to think Klump and Dixie still hang out with each other in secret. Maybe they'd even form an uncle-and-niece relationship! I might consider building up on this in the future with some short sketch dumps and one-shots. If we get a Donkey Kong spin-off movie here are a couple things I want.

King K. Rool to have a English accent similar to Benedict Campbell's portrayal of him in the Donkey Kong Country cartoon series, and speaking of which, much like that that show I want Klump to be his General again.

For Donkey Kong to get a catchphrase like “Banana Slamma”.

It being mentioned that K. Rool and Bowser are rivals for total domination!

Krusha x Reader - Headcanons

Krusha would give you piggyback rides, regardless if you asked or not. He'll see if you're tired of walking or something of the like, and wordlessly carry you either by giving you a piggyback ride, regular princess style, or letting you sit on his muscular shoulder.

He doesn't get embarrassed easily, but there are a few things that'll make him flustered, such as kissing him suddenly in front a bunch of people, ooor loudly pointing out a bulge he may or may not have under his pants.

Before you two became a couple, he was absolutely oblivious to any romantic moves you tried to make on him. The King and Klump both had to explain to him, and even then he didn't fully get it! You practically had to kiss him to death in order for him to finally understand.

You've taken him on a handful of dates, and they're... generally uneventful, in all honesty. You two would eat somewhere or do some random activity, but the most fun you've had with Krusha was when you're at home with him, or out and about just simply... talking with him. You think it's because you weren’t worried about your looks or anything going wrong during those times, so with that realization, dates have become almost nonexistent.

Krusha talks to Klump a lot about you, you've found out lately. He'll gush and tell Klump all the good things about you, which made your heart do a few backflips at the time.

Garlic Chicken Soup

I am sick and I have 2 new cuties so I'm gonna get slightly self indulgent here

You blow your nose and toss the tissue into the garbage can beside the bed then pull the the blanket up over your chest more as you weakly wiggle your back against Krusha. He groans and coughs, wrapping an arm around you and snuggling into your warmth.

"Warm..." he mumbles through stuffiness.

"Let me know if it gets too hot, I don't want to overheat you." You say and feel him nod his snout into the back of your neck.

"D'okay." He answers.

You two then hear a faint "Hup two, hup two, hup two." coming from the next room and getting closer. "And halt!" General Klump says, pushing the door open then walking in with a tray in hand that has two bowls on it, "Hey darlins!" he greets with a big smile, "Got somethin' to perk ya right up!"

"Klump... we told you not worry... you could get sick too."

"Aw nah. You know I don't get sick. And of course I'm gonna worry over my two sweethearts! You two are right miserable at the moment and it's the most helpless I've ever felt. That's why I made some you some soup!"

"Soup?" Krusha blinks an eye open then tries to sniff the air, but unfortunately he's too stuffy to smell the soup.

"Oh, thank you!" You smile, "What kind is it?"

"Garlic chicken noodle soup!" He smiles, "It's an old family recipe my great grandma used to make for my great granpappy when he got sick!"

You blink at him, "And how much garlic exactly is in it?"

"Well the recipe calls for a hundred cloves but I figured since I needed enough for two I'd throw two hundred in!"

You glance back at Krusha and he stares down at you. "Uhhhh, is that even edible anymore?" Krusha asks, looking at Klump now.

"Of course it's edible! Why wouldn't it be?"

You and Krusha share a look again.

"Klump... love," You pause, noting the giddiness on Klump's face when you call him that, "I like garlic too but don't you think that's a bit... much?"

"Huh? Of course not! I eat one hundred cloves a day and I'm the epitome of health!" He says with pride.

You and Krusha groan to each other as Klump brings the tray over to the bed and sits right beside you "Now," he picks up a spoon, dipping it into one of the bowls then shoving towards the two of you, "who wants the first bite?"
