not to be cheesy on the blog but the fact that one of my posts about dip & pip has over 2600 notes and a few others have close to 1000 is so crazy to me. in the grand scheme of things that’s really not that much but as someone who’s been afraid to openly express my love for certain things out of fear of being considered “weird” it makes me feel so special to have this space. it’s wonderful to be part of this community and i’m so happy i’m here 🫶🏼

okay, i know i’ve rambled about this before, but i don’t care.  i just wanted to say thank you to everyone who leaves such nice comments on my art. seriously, the käärijä fandom here on tumblr is probably one of the nicest ones i’ve been part of. i originally thought i would post one, maybe two drawings here and that’s it. but all your nice comments gave me so much motivation to make more, it’s insane. there were times, when i would draw one picture in an entire year, now i’ve drawn nine pictures in the span of a month and i still haven’t lost my motivation.  which is incredible, especially considering, that i have been doing really bad mentally for a while now, and i usually don’t touch a pen during those times at all. 

so yeah... i appreciate you all so much, you have no idea! seriously, thank you! ♥

so I was thinking about majima, as you do, and realized my original monster majima drawings were from 2021 which might as well be a hundred years ago so dang might as well draw up a new reference while im thinking about him

very tldr summary is standard monster au fare where part of the whole torture hole situation was getting cursed. he can hide it but its a very large strain on the body to be disguised all the time. hes kind of a story around kamurocho as sometimes people claim to have seen a weird beast skulking about dark alleys but its written off as a cryptid/urban legend situation.

Hot take yet I think should be said: the whole mindset of "CCs shouldn't see fan content period. No one say anything or run" has played a hand in bdubs being surprised at how much we love them. Some people are so frightened of letting CCs know that they consume their content, that they try and silence other fans.

I absolutely understand where people are coming from with the whole "scatter!!" mentality because I for one am a little embarrassed about just how much time I spend thinking about and creating fan content for minecraft youtubers, but I think we have to remember that these people literally live and breath their content. Like, it's really really hard for us to be more invested in their content than they are. Don't believe me? Check out this Doc tweet:

It's insulting to suggest being enthusiastic or invested in their work is somehow cringe-worthy or shameful because it implies they are cringe-worthy or shameful for making it, and I think shame is where a lot of the "scatter!!" mentality comes from. Because people have been conditioned to be ashamed of being not just fans but especially MCYT fans in particular.

But it's unfair - to ourselves and to the hermits - to let this dictate how we interact with CC's. They, least of all, are about to point and laugh at us for being inspired by or passionate about their work. Creativity begets creativity. It's motivating to know that you are inspiring others with what you do. That is what's fulfilling about art.

This is not to say that all fan content is for the eyes of CC's, nor should it be. Boundaries need to be in place, obviously. But I would say that boundaries which obscure us completely suck!!

Extremely blessed and grateful to have a circle of mutuals here who are so so so incredibly talented and wonderful, truly. It's always an absolute delight getting to see how everyone's doing in real life and what they're thinking about regarding their muse[s] and just seeing everyone having a lovely time on writing / talking about who they're passionate of while interacting with those they're content of. We do hope you all hold so much pride in your portrayals and / or original creations because it is always breathtaking to see what people can create and expand on and develop. also like. im really honestly pleasantly surprised with the mutuals and followers i have made here - when i started this blog originally i was so terrified that ppl would crawl out of the woodwork to harass me or smth but nah i've received none of that thus far LOL. if i got much more attention than what i have now then i think it'd just invite mean ppl into my inbox esp since i tend to keep anon on fdsjkl
