I painted this from life and the reason why I decided to paint that scene was to captue the golden glitter on the water. When the sun is high in the sky the light on the water looks almost pure white, but this was painted a couple hours after the sunrise so the sunlight was still being filtered through a thin veil of the morning haze and the glow on the water was unusually warm in color. It was beautiful. This is another fanart piece from one of my all time favorite films, and it makes me so happy that so many others love this film too.

17B was the flat we lived in, 17A is the door on the right. That tiled floor probably deocrated the hallway to a single dwelling once, but was now functioning as decoration to a pretty unkempt thoroughfare, with a cold orange glow from the street outside.
