One of the worst best things I've observed about Good Omens S2 is that both Aziraphale and Crowley have decided they're a couple but have failed to let the other one know. So neither of them are aware that the other one is aware...hence the problem.

Currently writing a Post-Season 2 Good Omens fic where Crowley ends up crashing on the couch of Hell's representative in New York and i have thoughts.

As I am writing this, the demon Oc ends up taking care of Crowley for a bit, but mostly, they start connecting with new, un-demon like feeling. Concern, care, empathy.

So what if, WHAT IF, Crowley and Aziraphale's nature as almost native of Earth has a tendency to rub-off on the ethereal and occult being they meet?

What if eventually, all of these being they encounter, say, Gabriel and Beelzebub, Muriel, and others, realized that Heaven and Hell wasn't what they wanted because of these two. That would make them partly a catalyst to Ineffable Beauracracy, but also, a catalyst to the end of Heaven and Hell.

A second rebellion, for Earth, for the joy of freedom, for the end of chosing sides.

And these two dumbass start it by entire accident, just by being, themselves.

currently thinking about how when everyone was hypothesizing about every™ almost everyone guessed that they were around other people bc "why else would crowley be wearing his glasses?? he's comfortable in the bookshop and around aziraphale??" and now I look back on that with Pain bc the reason why he's wearing his glasses is because he needed his shield back after his botched declaration of love and azi's subsequent reaction!! God that season left me absolutley devastated. It was absolutley glorious.

I've been in many fandoms over many years and I dont think I've ever just felt this much in any of them. It hurt, it was so very painful and it was glorious. It was so very human.

I struggle to feel things the majority of the time. I find it difficult for strong emotions to really take route, and so I tend to live vicariously through other peoples emotions. But this? This was the most I have felt in years. And it was my own. Somehow this show has made me simply feel more than anything that has happened to me in years.

So thank you Niel. You ripped out my dead heart and stomped on it and it was absolutley amazing.

Okay we all know Aziraphale will be like Nina in the second season because of the toxic relationship he has with heaven, but Crowley being like Maggie pulls on my heart stings. Like Crowley will be pining for Aziraphale just like Maggie did to Nina. Even if the line that Maggie will be waiting for Nina once she gets out toxic relationship just shows how Crowley will be waiting for Aziraphale. GOD I SWEAR THIS SHOW.

was it still queer and very much not queerbait? ALSO YES

I've watched (and been in the fandoms for) both bbc sherlock and spn, I know queerbait when I see it, and this isn't it!! It's still unapologetically queer! you can have queer characters experience heartbreak and angst without it being bait! I know it's painful, I k n o w, but just because something upsets you between two characters, or an ending to a season isn't what you expected, doesn't automatically make it bait. and it's definitely not in this case.

also, I'd like to note, just because the ending wasn't what we expected, doesn't erase all of the other amazing things that happened this season! The amazing queer things!! It was a beautifully written, acted, and directed season!!

okay rant over please go stream good omens s2 we need a s3 after all of this PLEASE. if you want a more satisfying ending, we need season 3!!
