When you took over running the shop the owner told you she’d just be gone for a vacation. That was months ago. You’re pretty sure she’s never coming back.

“Ah ah!” You yell, rolling your magazine to point threateningly at your personal Goliath, “Out. You’re banned. Get out.”

“Was!” König gasps, it’s sort of comical really, “I am not banned!”

You point over your shoulder at the bulletin board of shop rules, at the top in large bubble letters it reads “do not Touch the staff.” He studies the board for a moment before turning his attention back to you.

“That is a new rule.”

“It’s basic fucking courtesy.” You bite back.

“I did no harm,” he leans forward, you lean back, “you are well, your eyes are still in your head where they are supposed to be.”

Your eyes widen then narrow. You don’t think he’s trying to intimidate you, he’s just weird as hell. You smack his forehead(you hope it’s his forehead) with the magazine, he straightens up with a whine. “Store is now closed to anyone who’s just here for the vibes,” You call out, “and you can thank him for that.” You point to König whose eyes go wide as every other thing in the store locks its glare on him. “Out,” you hiss.

He clicks his tongue and turns on his heel to stalk out of the store. You look at the rest of your unearthly patrons and gesture for them to leave as well. The remaining humans in the store shuffle out of the way as you go back to your perch behind the counter. He had some nerve coming back here after the migraine he gave you yesterday. 

König’s mouth is watering, spilling over his teeth like a river of want. The eyes, the eyes, the eyes. The looking. You were giving him an itch just under his gums, there was so much fire in you. When were you born? He hoped it was a warm month. He wanted to sink his teeth into you, taste you through the flowers that conceal your scent from him. 

He grabs one of the smaller fae as they scamper out and away from your doorway. He tips his head towards them, nearly crushing their arm in his grip. They whimper, and tug at his iron grip. Their babbling is annoying, pitiful, he’s not paying attention them why should they beg? His eyes are glued on you through the front window. “The shop girl, was ist der name?” He asks, the fae doesn’t answer. He tightens his grip, feeling the bone splinter, the scent of blood fills the air drawing the attention of others.

“She doesn’t give it out,” They say quickly when he turns his gaze on them. König purrs, good girl. He doesn’t bother watching the fae run when he releases them, useless thing.

“So smart, Liebling,” He smiles, eyes back on you, “what are you, mein Schatz?”

pashkiana is my secret beloved rare pair ship :)))))). they are both presumably in their early thirties and they have in fact been in the same place at the same time. kiana is a member of the oversight body and part of the group that came to negotiate with Ctesiphon Wing. at a minimum, they are both in the megatruck at the end of nona the ninth.

i kinda dig the idea that they met pre-nona the ninth during the early negotiation days and then reunited when they arrive on the ninth. they relate to the shared grief of losing a person you love towards a greater cause.

Just saw a spoiler clip of Velvet and Veneer singing together. And let me just say, I hope Veneer isn't redeemed and stays a villain all the way with Velvet. I'm all for redemption, but I just adore his gay diva villain vibe. I usually don't like stereotyping queer people as villains, but considering Floyd is also gay, it balances out. And I'm all for sibling love. Gotta stick with his sister all the way through, no matter how south their plan goes. Siblings stick together always. So I hope he isn't redeemed. Nothing against those who want a redemption, I can see it. I just prefer it if he stuck with his sister through it all and not leave her. Siblings stick together no matter what.

hm hm hm i feel like this will be really interesting to read with the knowledge of korra and how that effected her instead.... because korra (from my limited knowledge so i could be talking out my ass here) knew she was the avatar at an early age and DID get that community. she had katara and her parents, she had her mentors, she was isolated from the real world during so and perfected the elements other than air (which i kinda recall her struggling with and how its the opposite element of earth so im excited to see if those kinda play out :3) and she was more eager to be the avatar and the excitement and significance it brought (which was a bit clouded by her being sheltered but also would have been expected more before the war impacted things)

i also remember matty saying kyoshi struggled with earth bending (which im super excited to get to and see/see her journey and how it will differ) but!!! i just think its really fun how theyre kinda off the bat setting up this expectation and new grounding for readers who have a past grasp of the avatar universe. even as someone who isnt super familiar with the lore, i know enough to recognize that oh! thats something new!! so just kudos to the writer(s?) for just setting this up to be something very different and in a natural way :3

Emma had a big day today!! The chis got beans before dinner, so she practiced her tugging skills. It's still so much fun seeing her play like a real dog. 🥰

Then after dinner, I made trash enrichment for Addy, so I offered Emma a few paper balls of treats. I had to unwrap the first round, she was pretty unsure. After she got her nerve up, she started to nose through the paper a bit more! We tried some loose balls and she started to really get into it! She even worked up to a medium tight one before we finished.

okay girls im going to be a little hashtag critical here but i have been ruminating LONG ENOUGH and i really really do not like that scene in the graphic novel murder on the rockport limited where lucretia recognized the umbrastaff. i understand what they were trying to do and i understand you have to change things for the medium but its kind of a disservice to both lucretia and taakos characters imo. lucretia works so hard to keep the boys from questioning things like why would she have a reaction like that. like they couldve alluded to her recognizing it but a scene like that is so in your face and it takes power away from the scene in crystal kingdom where red robe barry recognizes it. and wrt taakos character like. hes never Particularly trustful of lucretia like on a personal level but overall he trusts the bureau and lucretia until reunion tour. adding in a scene like that at that point in the story makes no sense like u cannot convince me taako would not start questioning what the directors really up to and why she had such a personal reaction.
