I’m thinking about Roman convincing himself he’s not good with kids but he was actually so good with Grace’s daughter that was a huge part of why she stuck with him for as long as she did.

This was always my assumption. Grace sticks it out - and even takes his ring, potentially - because Roman and Isla are thick as thieves, but she can't stay in a relationship for possibly the rest of her life where her partner is obviously hiding something he's just not interested in engaging with and becomes a different person every time it's approached. Even if you think this guy could be a great dad, you don't just surrender to a relationship that could go toxic and make things even more unstable for your child in the long run. Better to approach it and cut and run when it breaks down.

as a guy who is soso normal about time loops, i have to wonder if the dream smp’s loop had constants. set points in time that would happen no matter what. and i don’t even mean the big events, like lmanberg’s destruction or the disc conflict. i mean the smaller, less narratively impactful things that just hammer home the humanity of it all.

mirrors are used to force characters to confront themselves, to reckon with what they’ve done or what they believe. greg and his reflection/reflective surfaces are often in the same shot, yet greg refuses to look at himself in his reflection. this could be a reference to greg refusing to self reflect by confronting everything he’s done while working at the company. this could also be a reference to the lawful side and the machiavellian side of greg.

I think about Roy's tabloid fodder days all the time... his attention whore days. No man who is THAT annoyed he didn't make it into his girlfriend's photoshoot is as disdainful of public attention as he claims to be now that he's a grouch. Before it was a yellow card offence, Roy 100% took off his shirt every time he scored a goal. He did the cringe charity single and a cringe music video to go with it. He's done beer ads and watch campaigns and photoshoots wearing ridiculously expensive menswear. He's been on trains and street corners and billboards looking rugged and manly and hot. Whatever the fuck went on with Gina Gershon was probably very public. The rolex stealing girlfriend, also public. THE SEX RUMOURS. There are extremely compromising pictures of Roy out there in various states of drunkenness and/or public groping that will one day become weapons in Phoebe's arsenal when she's a teenager protesting her curfew. He's lucky youtube wasn't much of a thing because he probably had some truly cringeworthy interview fragments. We've seen Jamie's “I'm the island's top scorer.... sexually :)” clip but I guarantee... whatever is out there of Roy is WORSE
