Summary: Hailee and Y/n go to James Corden's The Late Late Show, to be interviewed about their new Marvel movie together. The interview gets interesting and they end up playing Spill Your Guts.

Y/n's POV

Today Hailee and I had an interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden . To be honest, I'm excited to see what James has in store for us and what we'll do in the interview.

We are in the dressing room, waiting for the program to start and to be able to enter the set. I'm sitting on the couch, watching tik toks on my phone and Hailee is in a high chair while they finish her makeup.

The interview is due to the fact that we have recorded the new Avengers movie : next generation, where I am the new Iron Man and Hailee plays Kate Bishop. So to talk a little about the film and promote it, they have asked us to come to the interview together.

I had decided on plain orange slacks, with a skinny black long-sleeved sweater and black dress shoes. For her part, Hailee wears a beautiful dress, in two different greens, with brown and off-white details; along with some black sandal heels. Needless to say, it looks spectacular.

XX: Guys, the show starts in five minutes.- A staff person tells us, entering the dressing room. -So if you're ready we can go to the plate now.- she tells us and I get up giving my cell phone to Cheri, who has come to accompany her daughter.

Y/n: Ready for this? - I ask my co-star, referring to what we have talked about and the announcement.

Hailee : More than ready.- she nods with an excited smile and we walk together behind the woman from the staff .

XX: You wait here and when I say your names you cross the curtain, say hello and walk to the sofa, okay? - he asks and we both nod in understanding.

James: They are part of the cast of Avengers : The next generation, which premieres in a month on Disney +.- begins to announce. –They are Hailee Steinfeld and Y/n Simpkins .- He introduces us and I open the curtain letting Hailee go in first and I go out behind her.

We greet the audience and together we walk to the gray sofa that is next to James's table. I give way to Hailee so that she sits closer to James and thus being between the two.

James: How are you? - he asks us animated.

Hailee : Well, happy to be here with you once again.- she replies with an excited smile.

Y/n: Well, i'm well and you James? - I ask somewhat amused.

James: I'm fine, thanks for asking.- He answers me with a wink. – But now i want to talk to you about this Steinfeld , because i saw you recently and i didn't know because this is Hailee Steinfeld at the MET gala, right .- he says and shows the photo he took of her at the hotel before the gala.

Hailee : Yes.- nods with a smile.

James: This is much i saw you .- says pointing to the photo and causing the public to applaud. –I was staying in this hotel.- he tells us pointing to the background of the photo.

Hailee : Oh, were you ? - she asks letting out a laugh.

James: I recognized this wallpaper and i saw you and didn't know it was you.- he tells us and I smiled amused without being able to help it. –Look, i've never seen you as a blonde before .- comment and I nod in agreement. –I was probably the only person who didn't recognize you there.- he ensures and I can not help but laugh out loud.

Hailee : No, that was my night that consisted in nobody recognizing me and next day woke up to a bunch of text messages with people who said i had no idea who i was talking to the whole time.- tells him a bit funny. – The thing is, i had been to their house for dinner, they are close people.- she explains and I laugh.

Y/n: The night consisted of Hailee approaching people, saying two words and having to say it was her because the others didn't realize it was her.- i comment on the funny memory remembering the night of the MET gala.

James: So, did you perform how many people you know who are absolutely full of bullshit, who pretend they know you even though they have no idea.- he tells her and we both laugh at it.

Hailee : Yeah, quite a few.- she says agreeing with the presenter. –And even this one didn't know it was me for a few seconds.- she says pointing at me with her thumb and looking at me with narrowed eyes.

Y/n: In my defense, I will say that I didn't know anything about the wig and that it was quite a shock at first.- I say quickly. -But four seconds after seeing you, I already knew it was you.- I reproached her, looking at her the same way she looked at me.

Hailee : Umjm.- nods without much belief.

James: And how did you know it was her? - he asks me amused and interested in my answer.

Y/n: Easy, her eyes.- I answer shrugging my shoulders. – She has the most beautiful light brown-hazel eyes in the world.- I say without any shame.

Hailee : Ohh .- she exclaims with a tender pout.

James: Okay, that's the next topic .- assures us by pointing to us. – But back to the MET look, where this idea comes from to go as a blonde and look like this? - he asks curiously and I settle more on the sofa.

Hailee : So it was my tenth year at the MET so i figured let's shake it up a bit.- she replies amused and surreptitiously I place my hand and move her hair back, leaving her left profile in sight.

James: I thought you might have gotten your inspiration from Lee in the Hobbit, because look at that.- he says and Hailee looks at me funny just like me at her.

Hailee : Absolutely .- confirms and I lean forward to drink some water, while the public cheers and laughs.

James: I mean, if you look at this side by side ...- he says placing the photos side by side.

Y/n: I know , it's really hard to tell who's who, right ? - I agree amusedly, settling back on the sofa and getting a little slap on the leg from Hailee .

James: Y/n, you can answer, do blondes have more fun? - he asks me referring to my natural hair color.

Y/n: Absolutely, right ? - I answer with a smile, earning a tender laugh from the girl to my right.

James: Okay, leave that there, i want to talk about something really important .- he tells us leaving the photos face down on the table and focusing on us.

Hailee : What is so important? - she asks interested, while I return to place my arm on the back of the sofa and place my hand just behind her shoulder area.

James: There are rumours, about your relationship and about a possible romance between you.- He begins to say and I hold back my laughter. -Everyone has seen the paparazzi photos, those of your both instagrams and some comments that suggest a possible romantic relationship between the two of you.- he points out with an amused smile. -So it's time guys, are you or are you not in a relationship? - He asks us and I look at Hailee , connecting our eyes immediately.

We stared into each other's eyes for a few seconds, keeping our faces serious and giving no clue as to our possible response. But we have come prepared for this question and have talked about it many times.

Y/n: Do you want to answer or me? - I ask biting my lip to keep from smiling.

Hailee : I say it? - she asks me feigning disinterest and I nod. -Well James, the truth is that no, we don't even get along and we don't spend more than two seconds together.- she answers with a serious face.

James: What? - questions confused and misplaced by the answer.

Everything falls silent for a few seconds, until neither Haiz not I can stand it and we start laughing out loud.

Y/n: Oh my god, have you seen his face? - I ask my girlfriend completely amused.

Hailee : It's been incredible.- she nods, still laughing.

James: Okay, I'm not understanding anything.- He expresses with obvious confusion on his face.

Y/n: The truth is that yes, we are dating.- I answer honestly this time, stopping laughing and unable to avoid the huge smile that appears on my face.

James: Yes, I knew it!- exclaims excited. –I am the shipper nº1 of this relationship.- He points us with a huge smile. –And this happened before, during or after the filming of the film in which you worked together ? - questions completely interested.

Hailee : Y/n and I have known each other for like six years? - she asks me a little insecure and I nod. -And during the pandemic we became closer, we talked practically every day and there was not a single night in which we did not do facetime, and I began to feel things.- she begins to tell him.

Y/n: I have to say that I had a very small crush on her since we met.- I explain unashamedly, receiving an affectionate look from my girlfriend and i cares her back lovingly in response.

James: And how did you meet? Tell us how you went from being friends to a couple and how long have you been? - he asks us excitedly, like a child with a new toy. -The world wants to know.- he assures us and we can't help but laugh about it.

Y/n: Ur friend Dove Cameron introduced us, since she is a mutual friend that we have and since then we have been good friends.- I answer one of the questions. – And regarding the other, well, I think we both realized during the quarantine that our relationship was no longer so much like that of two friends, but rather like a couple because of how we talked to each other and because of how it felt.- I explain seeing how he nods listening.

Hailee : And in about four months we will make three years of relationship.- She tells him and the presenter opens his eyes completely surprised.

James: Three years? - question impressed and we both agree. –You have been together for three years and no one has known until now? - He asks again and we both agree.

Y/n: Really, both Hai 's family and mine, together with our closest friends and co-workers do know it.- I comment, getting closer to my girlfriend, to be sitting closer and not so far apart.

Hailee : The thing is we wanted to keep it secret in some way, to be able to enjoy the relationship in peace and that way the media pressure could not somehow spoil the relationship.- she explains to the presenter, placing her hand on my thigh and leaning a little to my side.

James: And how after three years have you decided to admit it?- he asks us interested. –I don't want to say that this isn't amazing because it is, I mean my favorite couple has admitted to being together on my show for the first time and it's an exclusive. But why? - he asks us again.

Hailee : Well, if that seemed like an exclusive, I don't know what the answer will look like to you.- She comments completely amused and puts her hand inside my right pants pocket.

James: It can't be.- he says in shock, opening his eyes completely, covering his mouth with his hand and staring at my girlfriend's hand.

Y/n: I think so.- I nod letting out a small laugh.

James: I don't think so.- He denies removing his hand from his mouth.

Hailee : The thing is that Y/n asked me to marry him about two weeks ago and I said yes.- she replies with a radiant smile, finishing putting the ring on her finger and showing her hand to the presenter.

Y/n: In addition to the fact that we have been living together for a year and a half, and it is already a bit tiring having to make sure in interviews that the other does not come out, or the dogs are not heard or that there is nothing in sight that they can say which is the same house.- I comment with a sigh of exasperation. -But the wedding thing is the main reason.- I assure with a smile, looking at my fiancee and seeing the sparkle of happiness in her beautiful eyes.

Hailee : But the interview thing is also an important point.- She nods agreeing with me. –Especially with Martini, who always wants to be with Y/n and if they're in the same place and she can't be with him, she gets intense.- she comments and I laugh remembering my fiancee's dog.

James: Congratulations guys, I'm still processing it and in shock, but I'm so happy.- He ends up sharpening his voice with emotion. -And have you thought about a date or something?- He asks us and we both agree.

Y/n: We have decided that it will be between July and December, since we want it to be between our birthdays and we also want a somewhat summery wedding.- I answer him and see how he nods.

James: It's clear that I'm part of the guests, right? - He asks excitedly.

Hailee : I don't know James, after the Hobbit I'm not so sure.-she denies a little insecure.

James: Please, I'll do anything, I need to see you getting married and be present.- He begs, joining his hands in the form of a plea. -Please, please.- he asks with a pout.

Y/n: Love, don't be mean, look how cute he looks.- I tell my fiancee with a pout.

Hailee : I'm kidding baby.- She assures me laughing and leaving a squeeze on my thigh. -Of course you're on the guest list, James.- she assures him with a small laugh.

James: Yess!- He celebrates by getting up from his chair and doing a weird dance. –Now tell me about this new project and what it has been like to be part of the cast of the new generation of Avengers?- he asks us, sitting down again and reading the question from the primers.

Hailee : I already played Kate Bishop in Hawkeye and therefore the character has not been as new to me as it is to Y/n.- she comments with a smile. -But being Kate again has delighted me, besides that I have once again had the opportunity to work with Florence and with the rest of the cast like Tom, Iman and the rest of the new cast .- she comments and I nod in agreement.

Y/n: For me it has been quite an experience, because I really only came out in Iron Man 3 and Endgame more as an extra and I did not expect to be the next Iron Man .- I explain biting my lip. –So being the new Iron Man and recording with the suit and working for the MCU has been incredible.- I assure him with a huge smile.

Hailee : Cute.- She whispers to me with a smile, only for me to hear her and I feel how my cheeks turn red.

We spend a little more time talking about the movie, with James asking about our characters and the plot. Until there comes a point in the interview and James starts to smile evilly.

James: Okay, as you all know there are several games on my show and today is not going to be any different. - He assures looking at the public, who applaud and celebrate. – Tonight we are going top lay Spill your Guts .- announces and the public goes crazy.

The three of us got up from our seats and walked over to an empty round table. I sit in a corner, with my fiancee facing me and James in the center of the table between us.

From one moment to another part of the staff appears , with some dishes in their hands and they begin to put unappetizing things on the table. I make a gesture of disgust when I see one of the posters and I open my eyes surprised when I read another poster.

James: Welcome back, i'm James and i'm joined at this partying table with Hailee Steinfeld and Y/n Simpkins .- announces when the staff disappears and the cameras roll again. -You've never played this game before, have you?- he asks us with an amused smile.

Y/n: No, and I don't think I'm going to like it.- I say with a grimace, seeing the cow's tongue on the table.

James: Perfect , so i'm going to explain the game for you guys .- he says and looks at the camera again. –In this game, you will have to answer a personal question truthfully pray at something disgusting.- he announces and i grimace. -Look at his face.- he points at me laughing.

Y/n: I don't understand the purpose of this game.- I deny looking at the food.

James: The game works like this, the three of us will ask each other questions with what is put on the cards to our right, whoever does not want to answer has to eat whatever has been put in front of them by the person who asks. - he explains to us. -Is it clear?- He asks us and I make a face nodding.

Hailee : Is it real food or is it cake or jelly shaped like food? - she asks the presenter in a whisper, looking very cute and causing everyone present to laugh except me.

James: Or no, it's real food.- confirms amused. – Shall we start? - He asks and I see how my fiancee nods a little scared.

Y/n: I have a question first of all.- I say calling the presenter's attention.– How do you get the code sperm and the bird saliva, are you waiting for the bird to salivate in a glass or what?- I ask really interested.

James: I don't get it, but I'm sure that if you ask the staff they will know how to answer you and you will be satisfied with it.- He answers me with a small laugh. –You start your Y/n.- he points at me and I look at him insecurely.

I look around the table, trying to decide what to put in front of him and a way to get back at him for making me play this game. He smiles when I decide what to give him and move the table until the cod sperm is in front of him.

Y/n: Okay James, name one artist who have turned down for Carpool Karaoke? - I read the question on the card and when I look up, I see him grab a piece of cod sperm and put it in his mouth. – Iugh.- I say holding back the arcade.

James: My turn.- he says after drinking water, he reads the card to know whose turn it is and moves the table so that the clam juice is in front of Haiz.–Hailee, who es the most surprising celebrity to ever slide into your DM's ?- asks with an evil smile.

Hailee : I'm not saying .- she denies and takes a sip from the glass.

Y/n: Who? - I ask curious.

Hailee : You know who it was .- she answers me with a gesture and I open my eyes when I remember it.

James: Ey this isn't fair, you know it.- He points at me and I stick out my tongue at him in mockery. – Hailee your turn.- he says and my partner smiles evilly when she reads the card.

Hailee : Babe I'm so sorry.- She apologizes with a fake pout, moving the table and putting the sardine smoothie in front of me.

Y/n: I intend to take revenge.- I assure her with a disgusted face, seeing the glass in front of me and knowing that she has done it on purpose because she knows how much I hate sardines.

Hailee : Y/n have you ever gotten excited in the worst moment possible?- She asks me and I look at her confused.

Y/n: Excited in which way?- I ask without understanding very well.

James: Excited as in turn on.- he answers me and I open my eyes surprised.

I look between the smoothie and my fiancee, seeing the wicked, amused grin that graces her eyes. She knows it, she knows my answer and she knows it because she is the one who teases me in the worst possible situations.

Haiz knows that I don't like to talk about these things publicly, she knows perfectly well and she knows that I will end up drinking the smoothie before answering the question.

Y/n: This is your revenge for me eating the last cookie?- I ask with narrowed eyes.

Hailee : I don't know what you're talking about baby.- she answers feigning innocence, but I see through her facade and I know she does it for revenge.

James: Uuu, i like were this is going.- he admits completely entertained .

Y/n: You know what.- I say crossing my arms and smiling mischievously looking at my fiancee. –Yes, I had gotten exiceted quite a few times in the worst moments .- I respond seeing the surprise on my partner's face and the certain blush on her cheeks.

James: I didn't expect you to answer the truth.- He comments, laughing entertained.

Y/n: To whom hasn't happened, especially in adolescence when hormones are revolutionized and it just wakes up alone wherever you are.- I say shrugging my shoulders and downplaying it.

James: Okay my turn.- he says reading the card and moving the table until the pig's feet are in front of me. - Y/n, rate your sexual partners from worst to best.- reads and I open my eyes completely surprised. –And your current relationships counts.- reminds me and I look at a completely blushing Hai.

Y/n: Yeah, i'm not going to answer that.- I refuse taking the leg of pork in my hand and looking at it with a little insecurity.

James: It is not necessary to bite it, you just have to respond and you will not have to taste it.- He assures me with an evil and playful smile.

Y/n: I prefer this to answering, really.- I say and take a bite of the pork leg.

As soon as I bite into it, I feel the cold temperature of the meat and if it wasn't for that it wouldn't be so bad. That is to say, it is pork and normally everything is eaten; from tail to nose.

James: Well right?- he asks amused, while I chew and leave the rest of the leg in the bowl.

Y/n: It's cold.- I answer by swallowing and drinking some water. -If it was a little hotter and maybe with some sauce I would eat it calmly.- I comment and I see his surprised face. – My turn?- I ask and he nods.

I pick up the card, seeing the name and smiling wickedly. I grab the edge of the table, moving it until the hot sauce is in front of Haiz and smile at her face. Hailee has very little resistance to spicy and I am almost sure that she would prefer the salsa chupito to answer the question.

Y/n: Okay Hailee , which one is the worst film you worked on?- I ask reading the card and seeing how she opens her eyes in surprise.

Hailee : You're evil.- she tells me with narrowed eyes.

Y/n: Revenge honey, revenge.- I tell him with a superior smile.

James: At least it's something simple like hot sauce and not bird spit or a bull's penis.- He tries to cheer her up.

My fiancee just shakes her head, picking up the glass from the plate and looking at it ruefully. She takes a deep breath and brings the glass to his mouth. She narrows her eyes at me, before closing her eyes and downing the shot of salsa.

Hailee : It burns, it burns.- she repeats taking the glass of milk and starting to drink anxiously.

James: Is it that hot?- asks putting a finger in the other glass and then tasting the sauce. -Oh yeah, it's hot.- he confirms drinking a little milk too.

Hailee : Uff, that was hot.- she says ending the milk in her glass and moving the table, so the bull penis is in front of him.– James, what famous person was the worst to work with?- she reads the card and we both look to the presenter with interest .

James: Oh come on.- he complains and takes a piece of penis and puts it in his mouth.

Y/n: It wouldn't have been easier to answer, it was just a name.- I say the same thing he said to me before eating the pork leg.

James: Well, this has been all, I hope you have enjoyed and had fun with tonight's program.- He says looking at the camera. –Thanks Hailee and Y/n for coming tonight and the rest, see you on the next show.- He says goodbye and I greet the camera with a smile.

I watch as the camera light goes out and the staff go back to the plate to start clearing the table. The three of us got up from the table, talking about our relationship and future wedding for a few minutes.

We then move on to say hello to some of the fans, to talk to them, take some photos with them, and catch up with some returning fans.

Half an hour later, we said goodbye to everyone to go back to the dressing room and join my mother-in-law to go home together. Tonight Hai and I have a family dinner at our house, to celebrate the engagement, as it is a secret and no one in our family knows about it.

Although I think now Cheri knows, since there is a screen in the dressing rooms and she must have seen it. And if we confirm it when we enter the dressing room and he throws himself at us to hug us crying with joy.

The day ends with Hailee and I in bed, cuddling and kissing affectionately with Martini and Brando. After announcing and celebrating our engagement and future wedding with the family. Wedding in which the mothers-in-law already want to put their hand and organize every detail. But i wouldn't change it for anything.
