Hi, I know this is random but with the live album dropping even tho I know maybe you don't keep up with their music as much or so I remembered but I was kinda looking forward to your posts cause as someone who has taken a step back but wasn't able to completely detach myself from the fandom cause I like the vibe and the fanfiction /art plus my beliefs didn't change it was just hard and is hard to see others in the fandom often almost overhype him, not to say he is bad but it's like he breathes and it's magical and I understand I've been there but now I can appreciate good work he does but I don't have to lie to myself if a performance is not great or feel guilty for thinking that. It was to the point of not knowing if my fave is actually great like look perfect, sounds perfect all the time or I'm just automatically saying that cause I and some of the fandom in a way programed ourselves into that not just us but other fandoms and their dynamic. I guess what I wanted to say is I love how you're one of the few on here where we and you can discuss things without fear but also be respectful and I appreciate that.

You're so welcome! I've hardly had a minute to myself this week so i haven't had the time to listen to the album yet! I very much intend to do it. I haven't been to a show and i usually prefer studio versions of songs, so i wonder how i'll feel about it.

And yes, we are allowed to not like everything about our favourite celebrity or artist, and express said dislike. It doesn’t mean we love them any less. We just disagree with some of the choices they make, some of their behaviour and sometimes we just don't like the t-shirt they are wearing because we have different taste. We are allowed to. That doesn’t mean we are right, that doesn’t mean it's the majority opinion, it just means that we, with our own reasons, are not liking this particular thing. No more, no less.

If the celebrity does something that is outside of what we deem acceptable, respectful and wanted, we are allowed to (and should) call them out on it. Celebrities aren’t perfect, but they need to be held accountable for their actions and understand that what they're doing is wrong. It will not be tolerated, brushed under the rug, and it may damage their career. Harry not wearing a face mask during the hight of covid and by that showing lack of solidarity, and Louis cancelling the Asia leg of his tour without showing proper remorse and respect for the fans who lost money and the ability to get to see him are examples of things that are not okay.

I think it's an important skill to learn and develop to be able to critizise without being hateful, and to dare to critizise when it's needed and to give praise and accolades when it's due. It's hard to be in a fandom with people who see everything through rose coloured glasses and blindly idolise their favourite. Especially in this fandom, with all it's history, lore and the incredible complicated and possibly unprecedented situation we're in, the gaslighting, closeting and lies.

Why do you think he hasn't covered up the E tattoo? Even if you're an anti or a larrie he isn't with her anymore, haven't been for years. I believe he hasn't covered it up or removed it, because he is still closeted and a part from bg, elou*or was the most effective tool to closet him. If someone gets a tattoo for their partner it must be real, because that's a big committment, right? So the tattoo still serves to help closet him even if they're not together anymore.

Also, like i've said before, if a tattoo can help closet him, he doesn't have to do other things to closet him, like get another beard or stunt more with F. He can signal a bit more, sing about larry and sing i love him, i hate it. It's all a balance. Getting an E tattoo vs not having to get a beard for a year or two? I know what i would have chosen.

#kingdom hearts #kh #ahh this one was so hard to draw; i never know how to combine a bunch of scenes in one picture without it looking cheesy #just threw a bunch of waves and leaves and birds on top and called it a day haha. it might be a bit too busy though #the white line going up the center is supposed to be a trail left behind by the gummi ship! it connects to the ship in the bg at the top #it's kinda meant to evoke little kids dreaming of other places-> getting older and earnestly making the raft to try to reach the dream #->the gummi ship as a premonition of how they'd actually reach the dream in the future. i guess? idk how to explain #and i really wanted to have kairi's expressions be really similar but changing subtly from wonder to worry when she's older #the boys are just max enthusiasm the whole time #but yeah. something something Symbolism and hopefully it's at least kinda pretty if it doesn't make sense #i'm just super proud to have been part of this project! everyone's work is just amazing #the destiny kids give me this soft feeling of kinda lonely nostalgia. it's nice to have a book full of that #very wistful looking through it #fan art #my art #project stuff
