I'm highkey upset how much they dumbed down Fyodor in ep 11

Like this is the same man who memorized scratches on the back of cards, tricked Ace into thinking he was in some weird room floating in space which resulted in him killing himself, he's the only man who's managed to nearly kill Dazai THREE times

But this mf couldn't see that Chuuya was wearing contacts and fake teeth? Aint no way.

I'd have to disagree here, I think it was in character! Fyodor's fatal flaw is that he assumes he knows more than everyone else, and consequently doesn't trust anyone else. It's a case of "so smart he's stupid", he doesn't even consider the possibility of Chuuya wearing a shitty halloween costume because it's such a stupid idea (none of us caught it either, might I add). His plans are genius, but rigid. Fyodor thinks he he knows how everyone will act 100% of the time and while he may be largely right, it's that sliver of possibility that ends up fucking him over.

In contrast Dazai's plans are malleable and thrown together, he's just really good at pretending he knew what he was doing all along. Plus he trusts the other people involved in his plan and they trust him (easiest example is he let Chuuya fucking shoot him in the head, and in return the whole thing Chuuya had with the dragon in dead apple. Dazai was literally dead and Chuuya still trusted him to come back.)
