Random Pulp Cthlhu Thought+Poll

So, After what feels like a year, but was actually more, like a month or two, I have finally finished "Pandora's Box" the third of the four Adventures provided in the Pulp Cthulhu core book. It was just a terrible drag, and I really didn't enjoy it.

I am considering skipping the last one "A Slow Boat to China" and, as per a previous poll, starting Horror on the Orient Express, which will hopefully live up to the hype.

this is my dnd (call of cthulhu) character, jay walker! he is a 25 year old drifter from danbury, essex. his parents participated in the cthulhu cult because they believed the great one would save them from their misfortunes. they were extremely poor and uneducated. when jay was 10 years old, he was chosen as an offering to the “black-winged ones.” although it devoured his right eye, his life was thankfully saved by his mother who had replaced him as sacrifice. he escaped the ritual and fled to london with his golden retriever, sunny. he was eventually adopted by a group of drifters who promised to keep him safe. he becomes determined to take revenge on the cultists and stop them from summoning cthulhu.

50 STR, 70 CON, 60 SIZ, DEX 65, APP 50, INT 55, POW 65, EDU 45, Move Rate 8.

omg but FRIENDS !! just finished a haunting in venice, and KWBDKSNDJ ITS GOOD, HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🤧 my mom, brother, and i spent the whole car ride home telling each other abt our observations and theories throughout the film and WHEW so much fun

#oh no a murder happened and everyone who could possibly have been involved is confined to one house one train one remote area with no aid?#whatever shall we do #clue (the movie) is one of these #technically also rocky horror picture show altho the murder is barely even discussed let alone the central issue #murder on the orient express is a classic example

Just started a game of Call of Cthulhu with the Great Dane Society crew. Been really enjoying it so far. My abysmal dice rolls are finally paying off as rolling low is ideal in this game lol

you know, on top of all the horror and tragedy that Mina is going through right now, it has to add insult to injury that she, the train lover, got to ride on the Orient Express and slept through most of it.

this sounds like a joke but it's genuinely really sad the more I think about it. another source of joy in her life that's been twisted and ruined. just like how Jonathan can't even bring himself to write about the landscape. they are both going through so much.
