Horror sans/Reader

Part 1 ✔️ Part 2. etc.

When monsters rose from the surface, it seemed like the entire world caught on fire. Everyone wouldn't stop talking about it, everyone went mad. They seemed... dangerous. Eyes either empty, or filled with a dull, eerie hunger. A lust for something filling. Government officials locked them away for the first two years they arrived but after extensive surveying and rehabilitation technology, they were set free.

All monsters were now allowed in the real world, well, limited to the countries who had not banned them. Lucky you, college had finally ended. With a degree under your sleeve, you looked for a job. Weeks, and weeks went by. Nobody called back. You were getting desperate at this point.

A flyer pinned to a community board caught your attention.

"LOOKING FOR RECEPTIONIST AT THE LOCAL CLINIC, CALL THIS NUMBER IF INTERESTED!"

Seems good as any other job, and it's nearby. They called back almost immediately. What the flyer failed to inform you of,

It was a monster-run, monster speciality clinic. The day you arrived at the clinic was... unforgettable to say the least. Since monsters had been freed from their prison down below, you've never seen them, at least out of articles. Never touched one, never spoken to one. You weren't planning on it either.

"Ah, you must be the new hire! Welcome, welcome."

A giant, sheep-like? furry lady basically pulled you in. A bit harsh, but you kept your mouth shut.

"It's so lovely to meet you. My name is Toriel, and this is our clinic!" You shook her hand, giving her your name. She seemed to stare down, not at you, but into you.

It chilled you to the bone. But you couldn't find the courage to say anything.

she pushed you away, into a small desk at the front of the office.

"This is yours! Feel free to wander, maybe don't try to interact so much with our fellow monsters though... you're one of the first humans to step foot here." She chuckled, her claws long and sharp. Yellowed by who knows what. When she laughed, you got a glance at her teeth, her horrible, crooked teeth. Sweat dripped down your neck. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.

Toriel left the room, as someone was wailing her name. You booted up the computer , and stood. Maybe looking around for a quick second wouldn't hurt? The computer seemed old anyways.

As you walked down the left hallway, you noticed rooms lined up down the hall. Most of them were open, some had doors left ajar. All of them, you could hear crying, shrieking and wailing. Various names, you couldn't recognize. You heard shrill voices asking for their moms, or Toriel. It made your pounding heart drop to your stomach.

Someone appeared behind you, silently. Once you had reached the dead end, you went to turn and go back to your small desk but was halted. Looming over you, a skeleton. With its jaw hung open, tiny pinpricks boring into your eyes. He could feel your nerves, smell the blood pumping into your heart.

The skeleton didn't even utter a word before jumping on to you, knocking you to the floor. His terrible teeth snapped to bite on your neck. You inched away, shrieking. A bellow from behind the skeleton racked the hall.

"Papyrus!" Toriel grabbed the skeleton by the neck, raising him far away from you. "Oh dear, oh dear." The furry monster, now looking concerned, flung the tall skeleton away. A group surrounded the skeleton, eager to help him or... harass him for details on being so close to the human.

Toriel picked you up, her matted fur somehow comforting you in the state of shock you were in. She plopped you on a chair in a vacant room, and left. The door clicked with the lock.

"Um, hey?! You didn't just lock me in here right?" You awkwardly shouted out. No response, only the shrieks and sobs from next door.

Flare, Devil, Radiant, Darling

[Prompt: you gift the lovely lady something]

[Flare: a cake, it tastes delicious and is warm. It's colors and decorations are second to none and it lasts a week even with getting big slices.

[Devil: A book of handwritten poetry. Quite elegant hand writing. It speaks of soft things and of hard things. Always weaving a story of loyalty to one's allies, lover, and friends.

[Radiant: A picture album of different flowers, colorful gems, and the castle from afar. The pictures are pristine and the book itself has pink gold and fluorite on the edges.

[Darling: A homemade recipe for red strawberry bread. It is sweet and fairly simple. Very pretty to put in any sort of pan.

Flare: She would look at the cake, her mind rushing with different thoughts then she lets out a soft sound and slow tears would roll down her cheeks mixing with her fur. She isn't sure why she's crying, but she couldn't stop it no matter how hard she tried to. It's… strange. She's confused.

Devil: She would read the poetry, finding a few of them pretty amusing. Though… some do make her a little upset. It's a strange thought. She keeps it hidden under her bed.

Radient: Radient would look over all the pictures, tracing her fingers over them then lift her head, hugging the book against her chest. She is confused where it came from but… she likes it. She will be putting it into her room most likely.

Darling: Honestly? She might see this as a threat to her baking powers haha.

Of the different Gory and Tori’s, whose able to move on and possibly get new datemates or living alone comfortably? Who’s still pineing something pathetic, like honey they don’t want nor need you, stop beating the ROTTING HORSE CARCASS?!?!?

so out of the ones that remain separated, (that's HT, SF, UF) the ones that can get move on are probably Oleander (UF Asgore). He's pretty okay not being with Rose (UF Toriel). The two haven't been together for centuries and he still holds a grudge against her.

He'd still be the same depressed, isolated king that everyone feared in the Underground, but I think he'd act a little more like a bachelor. lol just imagine like the most random of furniture he brought up with him. Fridge unfilled or filled with the most random things (a single lemon takes up the entirety of one shelf, wtf Oleander??)

He doesn't look for romance but I could see him accidentally falling for some cute little human who maybe he meets at the grocery store, who doesn't recognise him and helps him choose which foods to buy for his dinner.

Rose, on the other hand, would prefer to not be in a relationship. Though she would probably go on some casual dates occasionally. A lady has needs, as we all know. But she prefers to, at least for now, focus on providing Frisk the best possible childhood they can have. Once Frisk is an adult tho? wooo boy.

I think you could charm her into liking you. She's into small, cute things, so if you're that then I'm sure she'd be into you.

Hemlock (SF Asgore) is definitely willing to have a relationship. Human, Monster, he doesn't care. As long as they're a good parent to Chara and Chara likes them. That's all that matters.

Hemlock craves the normalcy he once used to have. And having a partner would help satiate that craving. Hemlock also wants more children. Like, a lot, more. So be ready for that lol.

He'd probably end up falling for a single parent, united in their struggles to co-parent with the ex and raise a child in a single household. The two of you would probably grow quite close and happy relationship would spring up from there. (As Dahlia seethes in jealously from the sidelines)

Now Dahlia, on the other hand. While I can't see her actually loving someone initially, I can imagine her marrying again. It would be a marriage of convenience. The Husband or Wife would be a part of some rich Monsters family that Dahlia needs the support of in order to help push against the human government.

Also she needs a new heir to the throne since Hemlock threw her outside his house for trying to make Chara the heir. Sooooo, marriage, YAAAYYY! Hopefully she doesn't find her new partner too annoying.

I think eventually there could be some love that would happen, but it would be a very slow process. Dahlia's a cold and distant woman. She's not going to let anyone in, even if their her partner.

Now there's only one who I could genuinely see never marrying or falling in love again and that's Mirage (HT Toriel). She really suffered in the Underground. First Asgore dies, then Frisk diseapears, never to be seen again, Undyne kicks her off the throne and chases her back to the Ruins, then the famine.

And it's all just too much. Mirage can't handle it, so she falls back onto these harmless little daydreams that help her get by. Eventually she starts to think these daydreams are real, Asgore is alive, and with her, Frisk, Chara and Asriel are all happy and healthy and everyone is still living. Food is plentiful and Monsters are all full of hope and happiness.

Aliza breaks that delusion once she escapes and frees the Monsters from the Underground.

Mirage of course receives medical and mental help and she slowly recovers. Although she never gets over Asgore. I think she'd be more happy to just have Eliza around and maybe after a few decades of recovery, adopt a few children herself.

Though she'd never love anyone more then him.

Held together, kept alive by the strings of magic? Seems odd enough that gives you the need to investigate, after all, you're more logical then believing in "magic" straight away. But the history behind them is anything but pretty. Can the monsters prove their humanity? Can you stay on their - his good side?
