Spill the tea about Zhalia's ethnic origin + some facts

This issue has being interesting to me since I watched Huntik for the first time.

P.s Zhalia is 100% asian it's really dumb to deny

I read so much posts and theories about her surname and name and a voice in my head said: "Guys, are u fcking serious?!"

Iginio Straffi, who made Zhalia her real name and surname was like:

Bloom was adopted as Zhalia, but Bloom's real parents called her that name and Daphne did that too

So I think that this theory doesn't make any sense

Now let's talk about Zhalia's surname. Her surname is very popular in South Korea and China

So one of this two countries can be her ethnic origin.

But which one?

For that let's talk about another Rainbow Srl's cartoon which called Regal Academy. There is a girl whose name is LingLing

She is very similar to Zhalia starting with appearance and ending her ideal type

What? You thought only Zhalia can let herself being in relationship with a cool man whose humour is just haotic, didn't you?

LingLing is an orphan too, but she was brought up by her grandparents. So LingLing's situation was a little bit easier then Zhalia's.

LingLing's ethnic origin is China + plus most of asians who we saw in cartoons are chinese

So I think that's true 'cause we know that Dante is very obsessed with chinese girls

Huntik and another theory on Zhalia’s family (El Al Flight 1862)

Hey all.

I haven’t posted Huntik stuff for a while. I started watching some more Air Crash Investigation last night and remembered a certain episode involving the crash of El Al Flight 1862. 

Now, I’m just going to be lazy and not go back and check my facts, but if I’m not mistaken there are several conflicting scene locations when we see Zhalia as a child. Sometimes in S1 it says Amsterdam, sometimes it says Rotterdam, and then in S2 we get the new info that her orphanage was in Rotterdam. 

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that, when very young, Zhalia was originally in Amsterdam. She was transferred from an Amsterdam orphanage to the Rotterdam one due to overcrowding/not a good fit because tiny weepy murder child/bad system(? not trying to make assumptions on the child welfare system of the Netherlands based off a children’s cartoon). 

Why Amsterdam first? 

El Al Flight 1862 crashed in Amsterdam, nose diving into two large apartment complexes in the year 1992. The official death count on the ground was 39 (total was 43), but due to the high number of undocumented immigrants living in the buildings, many believe that the actual count is much higher. Most immigrants living in the buildings were from Ghana and Suriname, but this does not mean that immigrants from other countries and areas were not living in the buildings. 

Because we don’t know Zhalia’s age (and I still believe that Zhalia and Klaus only have an estimate due to her situation and just take the middle number or whatever is needed for missions), it is possible that she was 1-4 years old around the time of the crash and was either in a daycare away from the apartments or was found in the wreckage after surviving in the buildings themselves. Her parents and/or other family/guardians could have been killed in the crash and, because of a shaky or nonexistent record of their residence, their deaths were never recorded and any other family that Zhalia could have had were never contacted. 

At such an age Zhalia would have likely not remembered her parents or had any memory of the crash besides a lingering trauma of suddenly being alone and/or torn away from what she knew and was familiar with. Due to the issues with body identification after the crash, lack of DNA records and immigration records, as well as Zhalia’s own clandestine work repeatedly creating and dismantling/destroying identities for herself, it’s no far stretch to say that she, and even Klaus (having met her at least a year after the event), could possibly never know how her parents died or connect the events to her being placed in the orphanage.

Okay so the thing I never got about powerbonding was why Zhalia wasn’t first. She had the strongest bond out of everyone particularly with Gareon. When the obelisk on Madea’s island attacked her it literally said they were the only ones who hadn’t betrayed her. Gareon literally shows up just to comfort Zhalia when she’s down and they are seen just chilling and hugging each other. So why didn’t they power bind first and don’t say plot devices. Plot devices are the weed killer of headcanons.

So my theory is that Gareon literally pulled a pikachu refusing to evolve. Gareon’ type was scout, although this never stopped Zhalia or anyone else, he’s not made for battle and yet he always had her back in a fight. From the time they bonded Gareon knew that their bond was more than for scouting like others suits used their Gareon (i think that was on huntik.com idk). Gareon fought with Zhalia, helped Zhalia spy and scout, watched her back. But Gareon was also her friend, she summoned him for cuddles and comfort, carried him in her arms after missions, and just talked to him.

If Gareon power bonded it would change their dynamic, he would no longer be small and cute and easy to carry. So partially it was laziness at the idea of no carries but also because he wouldn’t be able to climb up on her lap or sit on her shoulder when she’s scared. Big Gareon can still turn invisible but can’t follow her around his crowds without being bumped into. It would have changed everything. It would have been a big change, almost like if Gareon’s current form was like a comfort blanket for her and Gareon was scared about what would happen if that was taken away from her.

So Gareon was the one that didn’t powerbond, and it wasn’t until Zhalia was in mortal danger and asked to powerbond- she explicitly stated she wanted to powerbond that he did. Gareon chose to powerbond because he liked their dynamic exactly as it was and it didn’t need to change. It wouldn’t have happened when she was in the Organisation because she was still holding back so much of her self, she had no positive outlet for her anxiety so cuddling the small lizard she knew so well? No one could willingly take that away from her. So until Zhalia is ready and needs him, until Zhalia has a reason to fight back and stay alive? That’s when Gareon would know she was ready and could face such a big change.

RANDOM HUNTIK/WINX CONSPIRACY THEORY I FORGOT TO SHARE EARLIER

I posted it on insta a while ago, but I just realised it was before I've got tumblr, so let it be here, too

few months ago I have been rewatching 4 season of winx, and it grabbed my attention that Roxy's dad is called Klaus, just like Zhalia's stepfather. Tbh I don't remember any names intersections between huntik and winx... an then I remembered one more thing that had bothered me

Roxy's eyes are normally purple,but they appear to be yellow in the opening (and a couple more scenes). when s4 first aired, fans noticed this immediately, but considered it to be an animators mistake.

and vica versa Zhalia's eyes are yellow (-ish) throughout the show, but they've got the purple light in the end of the opening. I mean, ok, yellow was booked for Dante, but purple isn't even her signature color!

also, Roxy and Zhalia have kinda similar outfits and resembling poses on several promo pics

also, klaus met zhalia in Rotterdam, right? Well, Gardenia isn't exactly Rotterdam, but.... flower businesses, sea ports... looks pretty much like methaphorical Netherlands to me.

so what was that? Was rainbow trying to give us hints they are connected?? what if the Klaus' (klauses? idk) are actually the same person from alternative universes???

oh, not likely. they look nothing alike, Zhalia's Klaus is much much older.

Owl House Theory Regarding Belos, The Titan, and King

Okay, so hear me out on this: throughout the course of season one of The Owl House, a lot of people were theorizing that King was the reincarnated form of the Titan that makes up the Boiling Isles. I personally think that theory might be correct, but after the finale I have an addendum to make to that theory. King is not the reincarnated form of the Titan. He is only one piece of it.

TL;DR: The Titan’s reincarnation was split into four different parts that each represent an important facet of witchcraft: there’s King (The Titan’s metaphorical heart), Belos (The Titan’s metaphorical body), the voice of the Titan (The Titan’s spirit), and the Boiling Isles themselves (The Titan’s mind). On the Day of Unity, these four parts will recombine and it will be up to Luz to be the shining beacon of metaphorical light she is to help King overcome Belos’ corruptness and become the benevolent ruler of demons that the Titan was in its previous life. I believe that after the Titan perished and became the Boiling Isles, he was reincarnated, but somehow his form got split up into four different parts. First, there’s King who represents the HEART of the Titan. No, not the literal heart of the Titan which we’ve seen in the show. I’m talking about how he represents the Titan’s kindness and purity. King may act all tough and tyrannical, but ultimately at his core he’s a very adorable and kind little demon who will go to great lengths to help his friends. The Titan also went to great lengths to help others in that he gave the witches of the Boiling Isles the gift of magic. The Titan is ultimately a benevolent being, I believe, because he was willing to give up his power for the betterment of the people (This is a fact that I think will play heavily into King’s character arc: learning to ignore his more tyrannical traits and impulses to be a more benevolent ruler of demons).

Then there’s Belos who represents the Titan’s second part: the BODY. Obviously, again, I don’t mean the Titan’s literal body since that’s what makes up the Boiling Isles. I’m talking about the Titan’s raw strength and power. Belos is the most powerful witch alive and claims to be able to communicate with the Titan. This makes me believe that Belos is the literal manifestation of the Titan’s raw magical power. And, as we all know, absolute power corrupts absolutely, which explains why Belos is such an evil dictator. He’s literally made of nothing BUT power! Of course he’s corrupt! I’ll get to more on what Belos’ role in the series is and what I think his big plan for the Day of Unity is going to be. For now, let’s move on to the third part of the Titan’s reincarnation.

The third part is the Titan’s SPIRIT. The manifestation of the Titan’s soul. Since a soul does not have a physical form, I believe that the Titan’s spirit manifests as the voice that Belos hears coming from it. I believe that the spirit of the Titan is the only part of the Titan that is aware of the divide in its form and that it’s actively working to get all four parts to be back together as one again by using Belos as its pawn. Since Belos is the Titan’s body, he is the part that must move all the pieces into place for the Day of Unity. That’s why the Titan’s voice is directing Belos to build that giant portal thing. It’s gotta be the key to reforming the Titan, and it could be that they only have one shot at reforming the Titan: the Day of Unity. What if that’s the only time when the Titan can be reformed because of celestial powers and shit like that? The Titan’s spirit is directing its body to move everything into place so it can reform. After that, it’ll be a battle between Belos’ corruptness and King’s kindness to see what the fate of the Boiling Isles will be. 

Yes, this does mean that Belos’ plan will ultimately succeed and Luz will be forced to lose in her battle against him in the end. However, we all must remember what Luz’s role in the series is: she’s not a chosen warrior meant to vanquish a great and powerful evil. She’s a literal beacon of light to everyone she meets, bringing them out of whatever darkness they might be in. She did it for Eda, for Willow, for Amity, and at the end of the series she’s going to have to be the light that shows King the way to overcome Belos’ tyrannical personality and become the benevolent being of magic that the Titan originally was. Now, even though I’m saying all this, I’m not in any way saying that Luz is the fourth piece of the Titan that I mentioned earlier. Luz, in my opinion, is just an ordinary human whose role is not to be the best witch on the Boiling Isles, but to bring out the best in others. Let’s move on to what the fourth piece of the Titan’s reincarnation actually is.

The fourth and final piece is the Titan’s MIND. i.e. the wisdom of the Titan. I believe that this manifests as what the Titan left behind when its last life ended: the Boiling Isles themselves. The Isles have been shown to impart wisdom about magic to any who seek it. The Isles are sharing the Titan’s wisdom that the Titan had in its mind regarding magic with all who live on them.

Why do the four pieces of the Titan represent heart, body, spirit, and mind? Well, because those four parts are incredibly important in witchcraft and have been common character tropes seen in TV shows before (Examples include Symbionic Titan, Huntik Secrets and Seekers, as well as several others). Bonding Time With Zhalia

How each of the members of the Huntik team spends time with Zhalia:

Sophie: they found out they both like watching blackhead videos. Their tastes in them are very different, Sophie prefers the very clinical, clean, just blackhead extractions, and Zhalia is an absolute gremlin who likes to watch people lance staph abscesses filmed on a shaky phone camera in their bathroom. They enjoy mocking comments together though, especially “it looks like MRSA” comments. They have so much fun mocking those comments together.

Lok: oddly enough Zhalia gets him into true crime things. Sometimes certain types of true crime videos still make him sad or squeamish, but he likes watching missing person’s type videos with her, and they bounce theories on what could have happened between each other. Though if a video includes crime scene or victim photos, Lok will nope out for a couple minutes.

Dante: they watch old detective movies, mainly to laugh at the cheesy explosions and how wrong they are about a lot of things. Sometimes they find a movie that they both actually really enjoy, and they have a list of those rare movies for when they don’t feel like picking things apart.

Newt's POV

It wasnt until several hours later that they exited his case. Newt made sure it was securely latched before turning his attention to the two men.

Percival seemed to be considering everything that he had seen. Gently trying to educate his fellow wizards was taking a long time. However, it seemed to be slowly getting through to some people. With any luck, it would continue to get through to people.

Percival turned his back to Newt and the younger man caught sight of a tattoo on the back of his neck. It was a flowering bud. The very same tattoo that was on Newt's right arm. On Metz's left shoulder as well. Theseus had one on his right cheek.

Newt inquired carefully, "Graves where did you get that mark on your neck?"

Instinctively Graves's hand went to where the mark was. His response was soft almost as if he couldn't remember, "I've had it for as long as I can remember. Why are you asking?"

Newt rolled up the sleeve to his shirt to reveal the very same mark. He replied, "Our parents found that Theseus and I were born with the same mark. In our hands was a round ball with an inscription in the middle. Mine says Devotion."

"Mine says gratitude," whispered Theseus.

Percival pulled out an ocean blue gem as he said, "Mine is Duty."

In his travels, Newt heard of a story concerning gems that appeared at birth.

Lady Fuse was the one who sealed away Murasame the first time. Binding him to this realm and to the form of a sword and bird. She later fought against Tamazusa. Alone she was losing and the world was threatened to fall into eternal darkness.

Eight warriors came to her aid each holding a unique and special trait. After winning against Tamazusa she stabbed herself and made a promise to resurrect and grant the wishes of the incarnations of her eight fallen warriors. Eight gems then appeared in the afterlife and are each born by the eight reincarnations of the dog warriors of legend. Duty, devotion, faith, brotherhood, loyalty, wisdom, etiquette, and benevolence.

Even to the young seeker, he thought that they were just stories. There should have been away for it to be true. Yet here three of them were.

Maybe he would tell his brother about it one day. That day was not today, however.

Percival stated suddenly, "I'll talk to Picquery about allowing you to work in the country and allowing you to leave as needed. With your skillset and the amount of creature knowledge you have, I'm sure she'll agree. Once she does I'll send the proper permits you need for each of your creatures."

Newt could only blink dumbfoundedly. Percival was going to do what now?

Theseus laughed shaking his head, "He will work with you, little one. He's saying that you will be able to take your creatures to New York with you."

Oh... that wasnt what he was expecting at all. There was still one more thing he would need though. The one thing he wasnt likely to receive.

"I also need an international floo connection. There might be a time where I'll have to leave at a moment's notice. If you cant deal with that then I'm not the person for you."

Percival sighed, "That can be arranged. I wonder though. Is it about that place in Germany? The Huntik Foundation?"

So the man did remember the Foundation. It wasnt that surprising given that one of its members had activated Percival's abilities. Unlike Newt it had not been an accident but a deliberate attempt. Percival would need training to fully utilize his new abilities. If he was open to it Newt could give him at least the basics.

Newt wasnt much of a teacher. Seeker magic was something that either came easily to the seeker. Or it didnt.

In the beginning, Newt had difficulty with seeker magic. Summoning titans was easy and he able to complete a summoning his first try. Though if the chase was any indication Percival would have no problem with magic. He had instinctively used feather drop and landed on a train. That was not something someone with problems using their seeker magic would do. Then again he had been wrong before.

For now, though he would follow his instincts. For now, that would be going to New York.

Gellert's POV

Three months had passed since he saw the seeker with the red hair and green eyes. In that time there had been little to no activity from the seeker world. At least activity that he could track.

Seekers were almost as secretive as the history that they uncovered. Tracking any seeker at all was next to impossible.

Wizards had to register if they became a seeker but it was too easy for them to change their names. In doing so they could be registered under one name and operate under another.

He suspected this was what young Lambert was doing. The key was to find out what the man's name.

Vinda opened the door without knocking. While he raised an eyebrow at her he didn't curse her. If it had been anyone else he would have. As his second in command, she was given more liberties than others.

In her hands held a file. It was thick but not overflowing. Most likely a Ministry file on a wizard to bring into their ranks.

As she approached she threw that theory out the window when she said, "My lord I found him," Gellert took the file and opened it reading through the information as she continued, "Lukas Lambert is also known as Newton Fido Artemis Scamander. He is the second son of the Scamander Family."

:And something of a trouble maker,: thought Gellert as he saw the sheer amount of detentions the younger man received.

Almost all of the detentions had to do with creatures. Or he was sneaking into the Forbidden Forest. Despite all of this though Newton's grades were all exceeding expectations or higher.

He achieved 8 OWLs in his fifth year but was expelled in his sixth year. According to his file, it was for bringing in a dangerous creature to the school. Apparently, Albus had spoken up for the boy. This kept his wand from being snapped.

That was when he entered the war and of all places the Dragon Platoon. Gellert had heard of the man on the Allies side who could tame dragons but never encountered him.

After the war Scamander had practically disappeared off the face of the Earth. No one magical or muggle could track him.

That was until two months ago when he suddenly began working for MACUSA. It seemed his newest interest had caught the attention of the aurors. He had to wonder what they had on Newton. The redhead didn't seem like one to work with the government without a reason.

He ordered, "See what you can find of about this. Put one of our spies into his new department. I want to know everything that happens."

"Yes my lord," sighed Vinda.

also on the subject of fanon but on different angle, like I think it's widely accepted that Qrow was in love with Summer and was close to her when actually in the show we have little evidence of that. He rarely mentioned her, he carries a photo but this is a photo of his whole team and like there is no evidence he was in love with her and that Tai 'stole' her from him1/

and that this is the reason they dislike each other. Like maybe I’m just a bit more groundbound but I never saw any grudge on Qrow’s side. He calls Taiyang by a nickname and there wasn’t any harsh glares from his side or any anger when he asked Tai to leave. Taiyang was angry but given the word exchange between them it came from the fact that Qrow chucked him out of the room when Ruby has just woken up and probably was going to talk to her about the whole ordeal, while she just woke up. Like I can get it, it was normal reaction of any parent when someone would try and bring painful trauma before their child just right after the child woke up. but back to Summer. Like I think it’s heteronormativity in action in fandom here. Becausewhy-aside from what I said before- I loathe Dad!Qrow theory. Because love triangles and love rivarly because people are friends or on the same team is a thrope I hate with passion of thousand suns and I want to put a torch to it. I much more prefer to think that if anyone was in love with Summer it was Raven. I am a romantic with prone to shipping but this thrope? nopeand I know OP wasn’t talking about that but this adds to the whole ‘bating is just fanon being fanon’ thing. and I am not critising or hating here, I’m just saying that people coming up with such complex thing with there being 0 proof is like whiteknight fuel for dismissing legit concerns. also on the ending note. this is something that is good with Huntik.there is very little of the thrope there, and that stupid rivarly . Like ok, there is a bit but it’s not serious considering canon ages. It’s more celebrity crush on Sophie’s part. and in second season where there comes another teenage boy? He is not there to stir any romantic drama. He legit is not interested in the only girl his age on the team. for which I am grateful.

Yeah. Agreed. 

We still don’t know jacksquat about Summer. All we know is that she was a good and doting mom who took care of Ruby and Yang unconditionally and was deeply loved by Tai. We don’t know anything about her separate from the relationships of other characters. Kinda like Pyrrha. We just have the vague implication from Red Like Roses Part 2 that Summer was involved in something she didn’t want Ruby to be a part of.

Though quite frankly, I like Qrow and Summer as a pair. But I see it as something that happened while they were teenagers. Eventually those feelings subsided and Summer and Qrow split but kept an amicable relationship. (The fanon-is-just-fanon rule applies here as well.)

There’s good in that ship because it’s yet another case of the anti-Severus Snape, where instead of a character bullying the child of a person they loved had with someone else, they take care of that child unconditionally. Like Pearl, who instead of resenting Steven for being the cause of Rose’s disappearance grows to love him as her own son.

But that ship raises a problematic implication, too. Does Qrow only care about Ruby because she’s Summer’s kid? Because she looks just like her? 

Qrow, dying: “Ruby.. You have your mother’s eyes…”

Ruby: “I have my mother’s everything, but thanks for pointing that out.

LMAO. Just kidding. We’re not gonna get Lord Salemmort and Albus Ozpindore. No way.

I also thought that Tai was angry at Qrow for making him leave the room with Ruby just barely have woken up. It gave me the impression that Tai doesn’t know about the Silver-Eyes and the Maidens. That Qrow is keeping Tai in the dark about the circumstances of Summer’s disappearance (and by extension, Ruby) and that he can’t tell them for some reason (maybe Ozpin’s behest). 

Anyway, yeah. It’s easy to be wrapped up in fanon and accept it as canon because it’s just really appealing because it fills in gaps that canon hasn’t addressed yet. 

And then people get mad when their headcanons don’t come true. Unless you got lucky, they were never going to in the first place,lmao.

Alt RWBY idea

That sounds really fucking dark and really fucking dope. I dig it. A severe downside would be interesting to see in the Silver Eyes. Just like the Maidens are susceptible to the Silver Eyes (that will requires some explanation, though). Unexpected but intelligent and dramatic weaknesses are always awesome to see.

and like SOME CONFLICT TO THOSE POWERS.I think it should be given that strong magic should a) have consequence b)there should be some conflict esp when character finds out rather suddenly. In ATLA Aang lit. RAN AWAY because he got so scared of the responsibility of Avatar, Korra too had to go on a journey to History of Avatars to learn about her powers and herself. In Huntik-my main show- in first season at the very first the main character doesn’t want to have anything to do with magic and magical powers and secret societies. In second season when he gets some Destiny TM because he is the protagonist he does have moments of doubt about his role and whenever he is ready for it or strong enough to handle it. Heck there is a scene where he says to his father in reply to ‘you are a hero a real one’ ‘but I never wanted to be a hero, I wanted to be an adventurer like you’ 

Ruby’s powers should get something similar, she should at least for a moment wonder about them, like maybe wonder if she even wants them. We know from Cinder her powers work on humans too and can seriously hurt them. She is slowly losing control and she is harming people when they startle her or try to reach her or touch her when she’s under stress.So she wonders if it’s blessing or curse. Like sure it takes care of Grimm and she can help people, but at the same time, she has ability to harm people too. There is a difference between offing a monster that is evil incarnate and nothing more. Just plain evil; and harming a PERSON. Plus people she’s now harming are her friends, innocent people who shouldn’t be harmed. 

 and those are her powers so she sort of has to deal with these things herself(with support ofc) and this would be HER journey. It would certainly be better than Mainpain Hero Journey which we got despite not only NOT asking for it, but even telling the writers once before we don’t want certain person to take up the screentime.

Something that has always bothered me, Seekers...

THE MISSING SCENES FROM ‘THE VAMPIRE LOSES ITS FANGS.’ WHAT THE HELL WENT ON FROM THE TIME THAT ZHALIA FROZE KLAUS TO THEM BEING BACK AT DANTE’S?

Needless to say, I have PLENTY of theories. And I will be addressing a few of them (some of the more humorous ones) in chat form over the next few days while I try to get my brain to settle on one that seems like it would fit with characters, canon (or at least my loose understanding of it), and the jacked up wreck that we know as the Huntik summer timelines. 

You know what really throws a wrench into the whole damn situation though, Dante just awkwardly hanging off the side of a roof when Zhalia confronts Klaus aside (he so heavy how she gonna get him back up??), Seekers?

Sophie. 

Sophie waking up and being in fight mode. Lok I can kinda understand. He’s the type to want to hear every little bit of a story so he can see the whole picture, and while Sophie does appear to be the one who enjoys books and stories more than him, she’s somehow less patient when it comes to picking a fight. Is it a redhead anime/cartoon thing? I think it’s just Sophie’s scrappy personality that we don’t get enough of. 

But I also have a problem with Lok, though less of one than Sophie. To me, in my writing, Lok is a bit of a wildcard as I’m still uncertain how he walks the line of incompetent foolish novice and fledgeling master Seeker with the knack to lead. 

Now, if I’m remembering correctly, Lok’s face when Zhalia’s about to pretty much literally punch Sophie’s lights out is a combination of ‘oh god why and how could you do this’ horror, determination, and there’s this (its a cartoon ffs you can’t see this in that medium but I’m taking a leap here) look in his eyes that sort of screams ‘if you do go through with this i will not die easy and I will not hesitate to fight you.’

It’s this side of Lok that, although he’s hurt and confused and horrified that this person he’s been fighting alongside and really trusted and occasionally even confided has betrayed him and has this cold ability to inflict pain, is totally and utterly devoted to protecting Sophie that he’d put his life on the line and fuck anyone who got in his way. 

He has a streak in him that we see after he learns that his father never did make it to the Casterwill compound. It’s pure but controlled rage, and he is not the type of guy to let certain injustices slide, as we saw on Sutos. So how would he react to seeing that the woman who had seemed almost totally ready to kill them is alive, is walking next to Dante, and Dante doesn’t seem all too concerned that he’s got his back to her. 

Lok tends to defer to whatever Dante says in season one. If Dante said ‘it’s okay she’s changed’ I feel that Lok would be inclined to grudgingly hear the entire thing out. Sophie might be convinced. But Sophie’s also smart enough to know that no matter what she says or feels about it, she’s ultimately overruled and outgunned if she tries anything to force Zhalia away from the group or tries to retaliate. 

But then again, we know that both of them are headstrong. Cherit has seen so much in his time on earth that he has probably seen plenty of redemption stories. He knows that it’s possible for people to change for good, even when so close to the edge. Plus he’s small so he can hide if he has to. XD

Wow I was not expecting this to be this long and honestly there’s still problems with Dante and Zhalia as well (jezus so much angst. just. sooooo much.) but I’ll address it later. This was mostly for me to word vomit my thought process out for others to inspect.

The Enemy Problem (Huntik fanfiction musing and humor)

So, I’ve been itching to write some whump for Huntik (I saw a pairing of two characters from another fandom that hate each other due to some torture stuff on DA and it sparked my old original writing urges again) but the problem is this:

After the Blood Spirals, there’s...there’s not much that the Team, both with and without Dante, can’t take on and mop the floor with them. 

I know that problem sort of stems from the ending of season 2 not really hinting to any new enemy beyond the Spirals possibly returning, which forces me/other writers to find or make up new enemies for the Team. I’ve gotten tired of using rogue Seeker groups awakened by the magic surges during the Spiral war, because they would be untrained, totally unused to their powers, and would, in theory if going by canon strength levels, be just so damn easy to wave them off and have the Team kick their butts during lunch hour and still have a good half hour to spare.

Then you start looking at bigger organizations (I fucking hate how the Organization is called the Organization it makes it so hard for me to use the word normally) and it doesn’t get any easier. After going through the whole ‘defeat global group of evil’ thing twice, I don’t think it’d be far off the mark for everyone to roll their eyes and throw their arms up like ‘Again?! Can’t you give it to Montehue’s team? THIS IS GETTING BORING!’ 

So, to explain WHY this little rant came to be, I was musing and muttering over my laptop trying to figure out a group that had connections to history and mythos that I could twist into a Huntik style bad guy group strong enough to lay some whump on the Team. 

And of fucking course, the Illuminati was the first thing that came to mind. 

The second thing that came to mind was the Team all getting their briefing and when Guggenheim dramaticly pauses before saying in this low voice ‘It’s the Illuminati’ and Zhalia just tries to keep a straight face and not bust out laughing as she says “Oh you’ve got to be fucking kidding me. This is such bullshit.”

And when questioned about it she explains that Klaus kept tabs on the Illuminati like a good evil scientist and the Illuminati aren’t the scary lurking powerhouse pulling strings everywhere, they’re actually a bunch of science and mythos nerds that are convinced Cthulhu is around or some bogus shit like that. 

And Lok chimes in, “Wait, wasn’t Void actually Cthulhu?” and the whole briefing just devolves into a discussion on Chuthulu, the Illuminati in movies and games, and occasionally dips into the realm of Scientology. 

Meanwhile Guggenheim is on the TV still just holding his face in his hands and trying to get their attention again every once in a while like “No, guys, really, we got a threatening video from them with some Huntik-powered doomsday device...guys, come on...this is serious....”

But now I need to look through my old mythos books again to find some big bads to whump the Team because I need some whump right now.

Still working on scarring...I didn’t want it to be so outright apparent, but also a little more visible in places. I just can’t get the right balance.

Dante

-Left side: Redcap claws

-Left bicep: Uhhhh...I donno. Theories?

-Right side: Arrow wound from a trap.

-Right upper arm: Poisonfang/Venomhand burn scar.

-Right shoulder: Not a scar. Yet. Zhalia bit him. It’s kinda their thing. XD

Zhalia

-Neck (left white because I’m not ready to color it): Had throat cut at some point from around 11-16. By who? Why? Honestly leaning towards Shauna under Rassimov’s orders. Why them? I donno I just hate them.

-Wrists: Years of escaping handcuffs because that’s what spies do. 

-Right Forearm: Titan bite. Which Titan? No idea yet. Not Gareon though. He mostly nibbles toes.

-Left upper arm: Gunshot scar. One of many. 

-Everywhere else visible: A life of not knowing Everfight/Everheal.
