more kitchen barb thots

playing music while mc and barbatos are cooking, each doing their own tasks. mc starts swaying their hips to the music- knowingly or not, but its enough to distract barb once he notices and he cant help but continuing to glance over bc the movements are just so captivating he cant help but watch despite all his usual self control. muscle memory has to take over for his task to continue but eventually even that falters (hopefully not while hes chopping stuff lmao) but mc hears the change in rhythm/slight clattering of the bowl and obvs has to check if their cooking buddy is ok!! and barbatos barely manages not to stutter as he assures them hes fine, just a bit distracted because of an "upcoming event" or some other excuse but hes got a pink tint to his cheeks from nearly getting caught staring.

at this point mc can either be oblivious to the reality and just reach out to give a gentle reassuring arm squeeze and a reminder that theyre 'always here if you need anything, we can take a break to decompress for a few minutes :) ' or theyre wise abt it and decide to tease the poor butler and go up to him, turn him to face them and put a hand to his forehead ""checking for a fever"" (pressing their chest into his at the same time ;) ). pull him away from the busy counter and dote on him worried 'but barb your face is so warm! i dont want my favorite demon getting sick :( especially since you look so cute with a blush it would be so unfortunate if the cause was you not feeling well' but internally theyre all >:3 lets see what it takes for his resolve to crack

i feel like the moment you catch him off guard with this kinda thing if you just keep up the "innocent/unaware" flirt teasing it would make it more and more difficult for him to pull it back together. but if he gets that moment then he'll start teasing back. this may be ooc rip and it got Way long but scenarios are fun lol

Oh welcome back, 🥐 anon!

One of my favorite things about Barb is the way he teases. However, I also think it's fantastic when the tables are turned and he's the one who's flustered.

The thing about this guy is that he isn't easily flustered, but if there is anyone who can accomplish it without even noticing, it's absolutely MC. I have actually written scenes (though I think they later got scrapped) where Barbatos straight up cuts himself while chopping vegetables because of something MC did or said. So not like him! But that's the point! MC makes him do things he wouldn't normally do. And he can either lean into it or try to resist it and I think you end up with different scenarios depending on which way he decides to go.

MC's reaction certainly matters, too. If they're oblivious, I think Barbatos could safely pretend nothing happened and move on, but I also think he could be the one who teases MC and gets them all flustered.

But a wise MC who's all I'm just trying to make sure you're okay! Listen. I very much think that Barbatos would have a hard time controlling himself at that point. Even if he knows that MC is doing it on purpose. Maybe even more if he knows.

The best thing about Barb is that I feel like I can write him being a real troublemaker where he just messes with MC a lot, but I can also write him being the one who is easily flustered. Like yeah he's got that rigid facade, but you can say beneath it there is a man who is fully aware of what he's doing and deliberately does things just to get a reaction out of MC. Or you could say that beneath it is a suppressed man that gets blushy when you start to tease him. However, I do think either way he'd eventually give in because MC is the only person for whom he is lenient about anything ever.

MC might tease him and fluster him and get him all riled up, but as soon as he realizes what's going on, he starts playing into it. I think he'd use the whole situation to his advantage. Especially if he's like yes let's take a break because secretly he wants to get naughty but he doesn't want to mess up the kitchen lol.

yall ready for a gender journey post..

so yall could probably guess i grew up a cis girl. i didnt start questioning my gender until high school after i broke up with my first boyfriend which kind of freed me up to explore my identity as my own person for the first time. around age like 16 was when i first started identifying as trans, and at the time that meant a binary trans guy

after a couple years of getting comfortable exploring my gender i decided hey maybe im actually not a binary trans guy but instead nonbinary. still transmasc and guy leaning but not quite all the way anymore. this became a trend for the next loooong while, getting closer to the androgynous part of the spectrum as time went on

then in recent years (maybe about 5 years ago ish) i started to lean more towards femininity. this is significant for me because growing up i was always opposed to it--i hated wearing dresses, i hated putting on makeup, anything "girly" appalled me and i didnt know why. i ended up thinking its because i WASNT a girl, and thats why i was so uncomfortable with everything to do with being a girl. i rejected it so hard because it just wasnt me.

after living with eden for a while i got even more comfortable exploring the feminine part of myself. i started wearing dresses and skirts and actually ENJOYED it; i started painting my nails and wearing earrings again; i even grew my hair out to my shoulderblades (yeah thats where its at now LOL). ive even started using she/her alongside they/them. and im actually enjoying these things??? it feels like after all these years im finally able to reclaim them because i feel like im finally able to be comfortable with my gender--how my gender feels to ME, not to everyone else.

that was the problem when i was growing up--i was trapped in everyone else's perception of my gender and what it "should" be. i was trapped into a box that was made by everyone else's idea of what i SHOULD look like, what i SHOULD wear, what i SHOULD act like, etc. and it took me until age 26 to fully realize that my gender is what i want it to be, not what everyone else wants.

i dont have to be a guy to want facial hair and a flat chest and a low voice. loving pink and dresses and cute things and makeup and jewelry doesnt inherently mean im a girl. pronouns, features, clothes, even names dont inherently mean youre one gender or another. your gender is defined by you and only you and nobody should be able to put you into a box and define your gender for you.

..having said all this, im starting to explore my gender further, and im slowly coming to the POSSIBLE conclusion that i might come back around to being cis (albeit gnc). nothing would really change about me except the label tbh. if i do end up coming to that conclusion i will be very bummed about leaving the trans community, but i wont feel any less attached to it, as ive spent literally half my life as part of it. i understand what its like to be trans and to love myself as my most authentic self, and thats why im considering this possiblity!

identifying as a lesbian kind of pushed me in this direction as well--i cant remember the last time i felt truly comfortable and happy with a label regarding my orientation.. like ya damn. maybe i am a girl who likes girls LOL. it just feels right and natural for me personally??? its crazy. i love women. if youre a woman i love you no matter the flavor. i love my wife more than all of you though sorry <3

but god please dont take this as me being like "oh trans people just need to get comfortable with their gender and theyll realize theyre cis" that is a bullshit take and i am not saying that. this is strictly my own experience and journey! i am 100% not speaking for every trans person and you shouldnt either.

but ya. dan cis era???? we'll see. no official statement just yet but i just wanted to let yall know where im at in my ~gender journey~. until i confirm anything please still view me as a nonbinary girlthing! <3

#i have to reiterate i am KEEPING the name dan saiyan. and my facial hair and deep voice #like i said. these things do not mean anything irt my gender. they are just part of me #if i say im a cis woman and i have facial hair and the name dan then thats what cis looks like for me <3 #i honestly feel free as hell. im defining my gender for myself now and its the most powerful feeling in the world

NOTES .

in april 2022 , i drew a fanmade book cover for the danganronpa x reader fic Sleep Awake . in december of 2023 i redesigned my reader for that story for the third time and thought it appropriate to redraw that old cover with their new design . and yesterday , january 13th 2024 , i finished that bitch . View the fruits of my labour .

in my last Notes section i talked about nerfing the lighting . well um . i nerfed it again . i dont know if it was fate or if i just . idk . didnt want to but i axed both original concepts - the yellow overhead light ( mostly) , and the light blue under light - and just Winged the fuck outta it . that ' mostly ' means that the light source is Still overhead but i just took the colour out to make it more neutral .

another thing i brought up were the shelves and how i wanted to add more items to them . I did it this time , but not to the extent that i really wanted to . i'd hoped for more Clutter and ultimately couldnt think of anymore than a few items . SAID ITEMS BEING !!!!

the pills . self explanatory , since they haunted the majority of cases 2 and 3 .

chess pieces . cute little reference to the chess scene ! even if the scene itself didnt feature real chess pieces , the imagery wouldnt work if i didnt use real pieces .

the letter opener . dont need to explain this one . but i Did originally plan to have it in shin's hand ( explaining why that one is balled like that , because there was originally a Thing in there ) but i couldnt figure out how to draw it and make it look Good . i only added it back when i was colouring the trinkets on the shelves and realised that i Forgot to put it back into the drawing .

the joker card in the bottom corner . also shouldnt have to explain this one .

LITTLE DETAILS I THINK YOU SHOULD LOOK AT .

THE HANDS !!!!!!!!! i decided at the very last second to make them vaguely see through . and theyre all a persons ! amami and shinguji are the obvious ones , but the two holding at the top are supposed to be ouma ( on the scarf ) and akamatsu ( on the rope ) . i would have included tojo's as well but i couldnt fit it in the composition without it looking awkward and out of place and i thought there were already enough references to case 3 as is .

and you literally cant even see it but if you look REALLY closely at oumas hand . his skin is a little grey and you can see the veins through the skin . wonder what happened there . Guess we'll never know !

THE BOOKS !! did the same thing as last time with a Little More . purple books are ouma , green are both amami and tojo , blue is both kiibo and chabashira , pink is akamatsu , and red is phys themselves . i know phys's canonical colour association is olive green but consider : shin is red . look at him . hes Red . that ones for me specifically .

with that . i did all of those books by hand . i drew about 9 variations of books and copy pasted them sure but i Shaded and Coloured them all individually . youll never guess how fucking LONG that took . so yeah . no one book has the exact same shading . goodie !

THE JOKER !!! yes i know i talked about it in the previous section but i WILL talk about the card itself . because i unironically am so in love with how that drawing came out . the little guy featured there is my Lies of P oc scaramouche or scaramuccia ( i use them interchangeably ) . hes a silly jester :3 . the depiction on the card is of him in his prime , before . All Of That Happened . story-wise he's a super famous circus performer known as " The One Man Show " because all of his acts are done alone and are absolutely insane . hes very good at what he does which is Why he doesnt have a crew . and the only reason hes so good is because he't not even human , just pretending to be !

additionally , i originally planned for that joker card to be a Real Life Joker . because a little known fun fact about me is that i collect playing card decks ! but i looked and literally NONE of the ones i currently own would have fit the piece . so . yeah . i just ended up drawing darling scaramuccia . heres the full image im so chuffed

i think thats all i got for the drawing itself . i initially started this back in early december but got stuck and picked it back up a couple days ago , so its been marinating for a bit . hope we all like it ! i think its Better than the original . THE SERIOUS STUFF .

its so fucking insane to think that its been almost 2 years . not only have i truly rediscovered my love of reader insert fanfiction after so many years unable to even think about it without feeling a little sick to my stomach , but ive made so many good friends and core memories through this fic . i even got back into writing . literally never thought id write again after my 11th grade english class and my 10th grade creative writing class . and im having FUN with it . wild .

Ok i literally was waiting so much to see Lucifer n Lilith being a really happy and cute maried couple and now yall telling me that THEY DIVORCED??????? IM LITERALLY CRYIN WHAHT??? 😭

and OMG LUCIFER. HES SUCH A BABY, SWEETIE, SCRUNKY, CUTIE PATOOTIE!!! HES SO SILLY, I WISH I HAD DAD LIKE HIM. JUST LOOK AT HIM OH MAI GAHD

AND OMG THIS SONG IS TOTALLY NEW FAVOURITE BY NOW, THEY LITERALLY DID AN ELECTRO SWING SONG LIKE HELL YEAH!!! N THE FACT THAT LUCI OUT OF NOWHERE STARTS PLAING VIOLIN AGGRESSIVELY AND THEN SHUTS ALASTOR UP WITH AN ACCORDION IN THIS IS THE BEST TGING EVER.

This last song made me cry (again). I feel so bad for Luci, he was abandoned by heaven n he just doesnt want the same fate for his beautiful daughter, cuz she is the only thing he live for (i want him to be my dad so much omg..)

Ok but sir Pentious is GOT CRUSH ON CHERRI BOMB??? WHA??? THAT WAS SOMETHING I REALLY DIDNT EXPECT

Also i expected heaven to be much more strict place with many rules, where noone is alowed to swear. But turned out that its actually just a hell with better people and more rules, thats all. And its actually really strange that u can swear in heaven. Im not talking about Adam n Lute, cuz theyre exterminators and clearly just awhul ppl, this guy infront of heavens gates actually said fuck. Maybe im just wrong, but isnt swearing unacceptable in christianity?..

Also HELL YEAH we nailed it! We were right about Vaggie being a fallen angel. But the reason why she fell.... She was an exterminator and literally just didnt kill one child (which is really shows us that she have a kind heart) BUT SHE WAS EXPELED FOR IT IN SUCH HORRIBLE WAY.

I JUST DONT HAVE ENOUGH RAGE TO DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I HATE THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS. I REALLY HOPE WHEN HEAVEN DECIDES TO REDEEM PPL FROM HELL, THEY BOTH WILL GO TO FUCKING HELL FOR ALL THOSE VILENCE THEY BROUGHT TO WORLD, THAT WOULD BE FUCKING HILARIOUS.

Also Cherri Bomb is being kinda toxic friend to Angel n i dont like that.

ALSO ANGEL STOOD UP AGAINST VAL!! HELL YEAH, SLAY SPIDERBOI!!! IM LITERALLY NOT SCARED OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HIM WHEN HE WILL GO BACK TO HIS JOB!! IM NOT SCARED AT ALL!!!!

Ok this last song WAS SO EPIC!! ESPECIALLY WHEN CHARLIE N EMILY DID UNO REVERSE ON ADAMS SONG FROM EP 1!!

AND THAT PART WHEN ADAM REVEALED THAT VAGGIE IS AN ANGEL WAS SO EPIC TOO I LITERALLY GOT CHILS

and Charlies reaction to that was actually really heartbreaking

And everything ended up with Adam winning. I really hope that justice will overtake in this whole situation and Charlies plan will work. And im really interested to see Charlie n Vaggies relationships after that reveal. I honestly think that Charlie will forgive her, but its still really interesting.

Wow, it took me long enough to make this post.. I really like direction this show goes, n i can not wait for the next 2 eps!!

this was bound to be a disaster. all eris knew was that having the inner circle at autumn could lead to a multitude of issues, all of which would fall directly on him. he expected them to irritate his father, or break off the alliance, or even damage property. what he did not expect however, was the patronizing questions about his mate.

the questions all started on the first night. there had been a welcoming banquet in their honor, and you were standing aside eris in all of your autumnal glory. your magnificent outfit was adorned with jewelry and charms of autumn with dark red details and a beautiful trim. you stood elegant and poised, yet uncharacteristically close to eris, who seemed to be enraptured by you.

"who are they?" mor asked, eyeing you in slight confusion.

"im not sure, but if i had to guess, theyre eris' lover, or at least something akin to that" replied azriel. he watched you and eris with an amused look on his face, and the rest of the inner circle did the same. after a while, they dispersed and began to mingle among the fellow guests, but some of their minds remained lingering on you and eris.

"eris!" rhysands elegant voice cut through you and your mates soft conversation. you watch as eris takes on the role of the high lords son, and don's the mask of stone he so often wore around fellow nobles of the court.

"rhysand. i certainly wasn't expecting you here." his eyes narrowed slightly, looking at rhys and feyre, who accompanied him, with a calculating stare. you smile warmly, from what eris has told you, the inner circle will be a crucial part in overthrowing beron.

"its a pleasure to be here. however, there is one thing i personally didnt expect" rhysands eyes slide to you, and you meet his gaze. feyres eyes glimmer knowingly, and she meets your smile with one of her own.

"who is your precious companion, eris?" your lovers eyes narrowed, and he said simply, "none of your business. i suggest you return to the party."

"how cruel. you know, its rude to dismiss your guests" rhysand said almost mockingly, and eris' jaw tightened.

"well, id rather not cause a scene. i guess they must he rather important to you if theyre here. i hope we meet you again, perhaps in a less formal setting" rhysand says to you. with a smirk and a wink in your direction, rhysand turned with feyre beside him and walked away. you looked over at eris, and you could practically see his jaw working itself.

"relax my love. they arent a threat." eris sighs, turning towards you. "hes so fucking irritating" eris mutters, and you cant help but giggle softly.

that night had been the first of four instances in which the inner circle had begun to question you and eris' relationships, and finally eris lost his temper. cassian had cornered him while eris had simply been walking to the library and had begun to interrogate him, and eris has snapped.

"they are my mate you intolerable jackass! can you please fucking leave me alone?" eris spat, fuming in irritation. cassian had burst out laughing, but quickly winnowed away when he noticed eris' murderous expression. angry, frustrated, and overall irritated eris stormed back to your shared courters. when eris recounted the incident to you, you couldnt help but laugh. eris begrudgingly joined you, and cheer filled the room. the inner circle was clearly interested in eris' personal life, and it was hilarious to you the lengths they would go to discover your relationship.

….. feral jungle beasts sabo and ace both decide to take Marco to pound town and Marco is very much interested EXCEPT! The phoenix has standards thank you very much! Not like doesn’t wanna violently make out with the dude who just ate a raw liver the blood taste would be a bonus but standard as in if you wanna mate the phoenix you gotta prove yourself as a worthy of it.

This surprises even Marco as halfway into letting himself be pinned to a bed by sabo and ace he instinctively flips out and goes crazy zoan on the two of them. Ace asks what that was because the resulting fight was fun but he was pretty sure Marco was into what was going down and Marco is all ??? I was very into it I’ve got no clue.

Never fear though. While it was never worth it to ace to maul a bird because they were never big enough to be worth dragging home to feed the baby (luffy) sabo sometimes liked raiding nests and knows what’s up. Cue the moby being horrified watching sabo and ace bring Marco dead bodies, raw meat of questionable origin, the crews stolen items, and frequently the struggling and beaten WBP crew themselves (to be released once Marco has seen how the two are able to beat potential ‘rivals’ so soundly). Everyone is terrified and confused and Marco is blisteringly horny

The golden plumage burning an orange almost red hue because it senses a challenge, goads the creatures that want to mate it into a fight which Sabo accepts with a revolting sort of gusto, dragon soul, he will tear the phoenix limb from limb if thats what ir desires

Ace is a bit more hesitant because Marco hasnt ever responded like this but he knows a challenge when he sees one, its a creature aching to claw into them a desperation is present but not the cornered kind

And it was fun, shame about the bed though, Sabo forced Marco into a half bestial form part way with haki just so they could fold him in half and fuck him mid fight lol

Anyway das so cute lmao they have to bring offerings and gifts to please and impress their feathery partner, they fell sea kings and other horribly large critters of the grandline, sometimes its a game who can bring back the larger prize the Phoenix is very impressed and Marco has never been harder in his life

He does get them to apologise to the rival crewmates tho like youve made your point they dont mean any harm they know theyre no match

Ace sighs and goes off to make the rounds in the infirmary like no hard feelings fellas

Sabo meanwhile scoffs like theyre the ones that cant handle it, bc hes got a mean jealous streak a mile wide that only becomes more unhinged the more he thinks about other people that are not him and Ace pursuing Marco

this is my overly large collection of hcs that just either popped in my head or were taken from asks ive gotten so thank you to everyone that gave a little contribution!!!(and to rico MUAH thank you for letting me plagiarize some of your hcs >:]

general

- you cannot tell me they all dont get into tickle fights all the damn time

- as a welcome gift for kai becoming part of the team, the three ganged up and tickled him (all of them made sure he was fine with it first, asking what he thought about tickles and kai just turned bright red)

- theyve turned saturdays to their annual tickle fight competition, where they all gather in the room and see who can last the longest without tapping out

- (winner gets to skip out on chores for the entire week, but typically gets tickled the most throughout it because everyone is a sore loser LFMAO)

- casual cuddle nights where it always somehow turns into tickling. idfk at least one of them decides to start something, let it be accidental or not one of them tickles another then suddenly its a pile of lego men laughing

- like theyre so close to falling asleep but cole decides theyre not sleeping and slowly claws along jays tummy waking everyone up with a screech

- suddenly the two are in this mosh pit of a tickle fight while zane and kai are groaning about how they just want to sleep

- but eventually they do get dragged into it farewell zzs 😞😞

- extremely touch starved but scared to actually engage or ask for it himself

- which was before he met the ninja

- was flabbergasted when he saw how physically close everyone was with each other

- not just the constant tickle fights, but hugs, cuddles and occasional kisses theyd give

- which is basically how they found out he was ticklish

- like the three would be so touchy with kai like, hugging and inviting him over to cuddle with them but kai would get so flustered hed just. quickly spit out some things and run

- they all didnt want him to feel uncomfortable so they never pushed, so when kai did willingly join them at some point cole got wayy too hyper he went crazy peppering kais neck n ears with kisses just to hear kai shriek

- then things really turned forward

- is the biggest blusher omfg its so cute

- panicked, boisterous laughter while making multiple attempts to hide his face hes so blushy

- of course the ninja didnt let him hide his face, they once trapped kai in a cuddle hug with his arms trapped under two of them, while at the same time all were giving him tickly kisses

- with kai in this position he wias so fucking red lmdao they love him too much

- cant take tickle kisses, nibbles or gnaws for the life of him omfg

- which all the ninjas know and take complete advantage of

- they not only tickle really bad but get him super red at the same time bonus bonus

- has to be super careful when cuddling with cole because one time he trapped kai in this monster lock hug from the front and nuzzled his tummy with kisses and nibbles

- kai never recovered from this he was screaming so loud

- stubborn and cocky, so everyone likes taking him down a peg by melting him into a puddle of giggles

- hes super susceptible to slow teases + tickles

- aggressive tickles are ones to get him howling, but the gentle ones drive him crazy

- in reference to what i said earlier, monster lock hug from cole. then slow, wiggly fingers grazing along his hips was enough for kai that day

- he couldnt do anything but slap on coles shoulder, make several attempts to hide his face and made these funky unintelligible grumbles

- and to make it worse, cole was monstrous with the compliment + teasing combo

- never recovered from this

- didnt even know this but he has horribly sensitive feet as well

- bruggghh who let him decide it would be a good idea to provoke zane by poking him with his dogs

- kai did and hes stupid

- zane didnt even blink when he grabbed kais ankle and proceeded to tickle the daylights out if his sole until the others rushed in confused

- i dont think i talked about his hips but yeah. genuinely terrible spot for him. i dont even feel bad hes a little loser

- once again. screaming when jay decided it would be fun to pin kai down and squeeze his hips like no tomorrow

- the ninja just all love to tickle him to pieces okay

- i may have gone a little insane on the lee hcs but hes also one hell of a ler

- super big on teases + pretty competitive ler

- pretty sure hes made zane short circuit from teases solely at least once

- like his ultimate goal is to fluster the shit out of whoever hes tickling

- ((mainly because he wants revenge for all the times the other ninja had made him all blushy because hes a loser

- he will never feel satisfied unless he is able to be as mean as he can fr omg

- like he once picked on jay by locking him in this weird ass position where kai could freely claw at his tummy while having the freedom to say as many teases as he can WHILE noting down what got him more frantic

- like this man takes tickling so seriously its hilarious he will always have some sort of mental note on what teases work on the other the best

- everyone hates him for this. absolutely despises him

- would get into absolute competitive rounds of tickle fights with cole where the two would literally be at each others throats for first place

- kai found this little technique where he'll climb up behind cole, wrap his legs and arms around him and tickle him senseless until he gives up

- works majority of the time because cole cant shake him off unless hes able to grab kais knee

- kai is crazy stubborn so he wont give up until cole is at his death spots??? but either way kai is still going to try his damn hardest to flip things around again even if hes shrieking

- shrieker, screamer and snorter

- babbles when he notices the others about to tickle him he will freak out

- nearly bust kais eardrums when he snuck up and tickled jay for the first time

- yet kai still does it because he finds the whole situation fucking hilarious

- chasing or any sort of anticipation gets him SO bad

- jay despises it when cole decides to chase him because he is SO jumpy and frantic and literally cannot deal with the anticipation

- like he'll be dashing around but be much more giddy than usual because. adrenaline.

- cole would be trying to make the air much more tense with teases while hunting him down, but jay literally yells throughout giggles for him to stop LMFAO

- "when i catch you, im going to-"

- "STOHOP NO NO NOO YOU WONT!!"

- most tickly tummy out of everyone

- its his immediate death spot, he'll be scream laughing right away

- cole decided it would be fun to nom on his belly and jay died

- goodbye boy you will be missed

- even zane joined in on the fun, making cole hold jays arms above his head to allow zane to slowly claw his cold hands along jays skin

- bro was SO loud and frantic shaking his head like crazy he basically shook the entire room

- he also remembers how kai walked in on this entire scene happening, took one look and immediately walked right out

- jay got him afterwards for leaving him in the dust

- big unintentional thrasher

- hes probably given wayy too many injuries to everyone unintentionally LFMAO

- kicked kai in the stomach once, smacked cole in the face and elbowed zane in the shoulder

- probably laughed harder at this happening than being tickled

- even gets sparks of lightning that shoot out his hands when hes laughing

- they can come in waves either being strong or weak, but either way when it hits his ler, it tickles

- jay loves when this happens and would purposely aim his hands towards the spots of whoevers tickling him

- which is why all the ninja have learned its best to pin at least a hand over jays head before wrecking him

- also has extremely high pitched panicked giggles that they all find extremely endearing muahmfuah

- like his voice will go so high pitched they all call him the squeaky toy

- used to be a little bit insecure about his laugh because he thought it was weird when hed squeak

- but all the compliments and sweet teases say otherwise so jay shuts up when hes about to say something negative about his laugh

- he said it once and got tickled with so much love from the three

- its just soso sweet im going to go cry he <3

- absolute mean ass gremlin ler

- was the one who introduced tickling as their daily thing to bug each other with

- and started a shit ton of tickle fights throughout their time together

- he was the one who introduces the idea of having a tickle tournament because hed thought it would be fun

- hes been tickled so many times so dont think he wont remember all the different techniques he picked up

- i feel like everyone actually underestimated his ability to tickle others at first because he was just a silly little guy but noo they were all so wrong

- uses his lightning to tickle others because hes a little shit that is able to use his powers to his advantage

- everyone hates him for this because 1. theyre salty they cant use their powers for this intent and 2. it tickles like crazy

- uses this specifically for poking/ tazing people with his powers or just grabbing at ribs

- jay tickled cole so bad with his tazes once and cole in return gave jay one of the most intense chases hes ever had in his life

- and WILL take that to his advantage because when jay does use his powers, zane is scream thrashing which he almost never does

- hes also pretty big on anticipation because he knows how bad it gets him so he just has to do it to the others

- coos and laughs along with who hes tickling because he finds it super silly and sweet

- looves squeezing because he feeds on seeing the person hes tickling thrashing around while hes just having a good time

- literally always the first one to start any tickle fights

- unprovoked will sneak up behind one of them and squeeze their spots until they crumble

- kind of just. takes the tickles unless it gets to a very specific spot

- has a really soft, breathy laugh that the others swoon on

- when you get one of his bad spots, he'll glitch a bit along with a high pitched squeak, but it wont hurt him

- he'll also uncharacteristically thrash and squirm!!!! gets more frantic n giggly which everyone loves

- in a way his little glitch like a high pitched squeak/snort that makes zanes movements much more reactive, like he'll gently push at hands and slowly try to slink away

- the first time this happened everyone freaked out and zane had to reassure that he was okay and just another way of laughing when things get a bit hysterical

- now they all think its the cutest thing ever and tickle him just so they can hear his laughter and his little squeaks

- all the ninja are SO soft about it too, always checking in to see if anything may be too overwhelming for zane as its a completely new sensation

- he is fine, he likes having this little bonding moment w them

- jay bullies him a lot solely because his electricity has been by far one of the most effective ways of getting zane to crumple to the ground

- zane is known to kind of just let out his little breathy laughs and squirm a bit, which is why it was incredibly surprising to both parties when jay snuck up behind him, tased his ribs and the next second zane barked out a laugh and fell down LMFAO

- they both looked at each other for a second before cackling because it was funny, then the next it was a whole different type of laughter because jay did it again but with full on tickles

- also has very sensitive ears and hands!!!! jumped a mile high when cole decided it would be a good idea to breathe down his neck and the story ends there LDMAO

- actually used to be. pretty neutral about tickling until it became a daily bonding activity hed do with the others

- tickling makes him feel more human as well and acts as a comfort to him that he knows he can be tickled just like the ninja can

- was actually worried at first he wouldnt be ticklish but cole was not taking that and did his silly little experiment and now :]]]]

- AND didnt know he could be this panicked and flustered while being tickled, because his system never really had to experience this type of emotion before but he liked it a lot

- although it did make him even more blushy because it was a good realization he had

- cold and calculated movements when tickling otners

- tickles the others the least, but when he does or is about to, everyone sprints

- found this function where he can jitter his fingers really fast along any spot which drives all of them insane

- zane gathered everyone so he could demonstrate and used jay as his guinea pig only for him to scream and jump a mile high

- they all ran afterwards

- AND along with this he also uses it on his lips when hes giving raspberries

- when i say jay dies this man dies on spot when this happens

- zane had him pinned and jay saw him prepping to turn the feature on and he was SCREAMING before it even started LMFAOO

- he picks on everyone when they least expect it because when his attacks happen, theyre brutal

- like once jay wrecked the absolute living shit out of zane

- and in casual zane style he let jay be on his toes for a week expecting revenge

- buut forgot about it afterwards and let his guard down

- which is when zane casually just walked up behind jay when he was talking to nya, scoops him up and takes him away for sweet sweet revenge

- jay didnt even know it was revenge until zane pinned him down and pulled his shirt up to reveal his tummy then immediately began to screech

- likes 'chasing' kai and shoving his hands under his shirt with his reasoning being "my system needs a warmup"

- they both know its bullshit so it just turns into this overdramatic chase around the room where kai is SPRINTING while zane is casually walking towards him because he knows he'll catch him

- in the end zane always catches him one way or another and wiggles his fingers where its nice and cozy

- gets kai the worst because of this sole reason,, the icy hands just make him much more sensitive to zanes tickles

- super brutally honest with his teases

- its not even teases its literally just him pointing out the obvious yet everyone seems to??? hate it more when its the truth?????

- never really understood it when each time hed do this theyd tell him to shut up but at the same time he found it really amusing

- solely because it would make their reactions even more sillier and he found it v endearing

- WILL ALSO reveal anyones spots without any warning like hes stating a fun fact

- and just. knows. he knows.

- he’ll take one look at someone and make his silly calculated guess and itll always somehow be a spot that makes the person rush into a panic

- none of the ninja know how he does it but they all collectively agree that it is both amazing and terrible at the same time

- RIB COUNTER

- loves doing it because he says “i like learning about anatomy”

- which is bullshit he just likes being mean

- like he’ll pay extra attention to each and every rib when tickling the life out of either of the ninja

- found a very specific rib on the higher end with cole that has him howling and has kept this information to himself for the longest time

- mainly because no one has asked yet because he exposes everyones spots when asked LFMAO

- at some point all the ninjas thought this hoe wasnt ticklish because he was so good at hiding it

- and absolutely loved keeping his reputation as the high and mighty tickle monster out of all of them

- like hed dodge the question by tickling the person asking to pieces so they forget or would just drop the question

- or the ninja would poke him, but since cole was expecting it, he could control his reactions pretty well

- buut no secrets are hidden in this household

- and if you live with a few other curious ninja i dont think anything will be left unsettled

- zane literally unprovoked and out of nowhere sneaks up behind him and claws at coles ribs making him let out one of the loudest shrieks everyones heard

- mind you this was when they were all casually chatting in their rooms

- theres like a moment of silence for everyone to process this until its absolute chaos

- jay is screaming "YOU LIAR" while kai wrestles cole to the ground with zane whos smirking at the situation unfold

- has ridiculously ticklish thighs that no one knew about until jay was being a little silly and ran his fingers along coles inner thigh

- the two were lounging on the couch with cole who had one of his legs on jay just for that to happen and nearly kneed him in the face

- jay immediately gasped in shock and started laughing, gave a few more squeezes up on his thigh until cole pounced

- cole literally had to tickle the shit out of jay to keep him from telling the others (theyll find out eventually)

- not too much of a thrasher or one to get away, but he'll say things that mean the opposite yet the ninja can clearly tell hes enjoying it

- which gets him horrendously flustered that they all noticed it

- "get AWAY!!"

- "then why arent you running??"

- or one time zane had cole all propped up in his lap and was slowly circling his finger along his ribs driving him into a giggling frenzy

- but zane being zane noticed immediately that cole was leaning more towards him than away

- "if you say you hate this, then why are you leaning into my fingers?"

- cole just buried his face hes not dealing with that question

- then zane asked why this question got to cole so bad in front of EVERYONE and suddenly jay and kai are also mildly flustered but now know what gets to cole

- was and still is extremely embarassed over how ticklish he is in his little specific spots

- like. hes so used to people perceiving him as the tough big guy so he tries to live up to those expectations only to crumble under a few wiggly fingers

- which everyone except for cole LOVED because they thought it was so sweet n cute

- they all dont really make fun of him for this but they just. yeah they love tickling him n hearing him giggle

- absolutely no mercy when hes getting any of the three fr they all know when his mind is set on tickling someone they are going to get tickled

- has this little signature smile or look that everyone knows they have to prepare for

- like they could literally just be watching a movie and cole will dramatically look to one of them and they KNOW shits going down

- he likes pretending whoever hes tickling is his food and does these little playful growls when nomming on them

- done this way too many times to jay because it gets him the best

- or just casually grabbing someone, picking them up and wrecking the absolute life out of them

- likes manhandling his lees because all they can do is just kick their legs and hope he'll go easy on them

- like hes literally thrown kai over his shoulder and scribbled his knees

- mf couldnt do anything except lightly pound on his back

- once tickled all three ninja at once it was wild

- beat them all at a video game and as "losers punishment", he made them lie down next to each other back against the floor

- then proceeded to give left hand to kai, right hand to zane and raspberries to jay who was dubbed the shitty shitty loser

- he was so good at it too???? sir how and why would you do this to them

- it got so loud to the point where lloyd ran in and started shouting at them to shut the fuck up

- man needs to play his roblox in peace without them screeching in the back

- he scared off lloyd when cole yelled he was going to get him next

- cole and jay would be having tickle fights in some of the worst situations possible it was both ridiculous and entertaining for kai and zane

- like theyd be having a lecture from sensei wu and cole would sneak jabs at jays ribs making him shriek

pathologic furry designs because im a nerd

(aglaya, rubin, and lara, *ft artemy)

i usually dont post uncolored drawings/doodles but i plan on making a few of these

HUGE thanks to my buddies for help/input on these..both are huge brained and awesome at art follow them now

heres the thought process (spoiler free, mostly based on patho 2)

me and my buddies were in a call for all of these and we had a very intellectual conversation about all of them. when looking for furry designs i usually think of personality, mannerisms, and likeness.

Aglaya, Shoebill

both of the friends i asked havent played the game past day 5 (one of them is on day 2) so i asked “what animal would she be” with just a picture of her model. i was interested to see what 2 people who’ve only seen her once (in the intro) would think of her purely on vibes and brief dialogue. the first suggestion was “some kinda bird” and that seemed to stick.

a bit tall, a bit intimidating. so we threw out Herons, Ostriches, Peacocks…

Shoebill seemed to fit. I wanted a bird that was either grey or black, some kinda desaturated color but also one that was tall and a bit scary. Shoebills are definitely considered pretty scary. theyre also super tall and i remember saying in the call "these things are huge if i saw them flying i would cry." when it comes to shoebills, i imagine them towering over most other animals, especially with that neck and beak! they're also ambush predators i believe. shoebills fit Aglaya's first impressions perfectly.

i almost made her a Dalmatian... im glad i didnt...

Rubin, Skinny Pig

I wasn't even going to initially draw Rubin here... it started by me asking "who'd be a naked mole rat?" and the immediate answer was "Rubin..." which made me remember that he was bald LMAO. I figured that fit a little, and the original drawing was him as a naked mole rat. a few things werent quite right though.

first, digging. i cant imagine Rubin as an animal who's entire thing is digging around and being dirty, he's a doctor and, other than blood, i can't imagine he'd wanna be dirty...

second, social groups. as far as i know, naked mole rats are very social within their own circles? just from the early game (as early as the first 3 days?) he's pretty antisocial and seems to have a distaste for the Kin, even if influenced by grief(the emotion not the person). he even seems reluctant to be close to close friends.

and, of course, moles have to be saved for someone else... we'll get there. WINK

..i dont remember how Skinny Pigs came up, i think i was just googling them and thought they were funny since i have a friend who owns some.. i did a bit of googlin and asking my buddy in the call about skinny pig mannerisms.. theyre pretty...territorial? at least males to other males, theyre pretty aggressive as far as i know. this definitely fit Rubin. the OTHER reason for any kind of guinea pig was considered was because of the concept of "test guinea pigs" and not in a literal sense, but just the concept, because of Rubin's connection to Isidor. i will say i felt like the smartest person on earth when i thought of that.

also the cute ears absolutely influenced the decision.

Lara, Generic Ass Wolf

Lara was genuinely so difficult... unlike the other two, there were literally no suggestions being thrown out. my description was something like "maybe something small, cute, short tempered, but social?" and, for some reason, that was a tall order. my first guess was a mouse, but that wasnt perfect... we thought we'd have to turn to bugs and fish, though a lot of bugs and fish are hard to find personalities for.. at a surface level at least. we decided to save bugs and fish for other people...

and then, the suggestion of "wolf" came up, albeit reluctantly. when it comes to furry-fying characters, wolves and dogs are definitely...up there, in terms of "most used/obvious".. but really, think about it.

Believe it or not, wolves can be a little anxious, if not in a way that presents itself as anger/defense. this is also how i described Lara, "anxious in a way that presents as anger." also, wolves, while sometimes being a little solitary, are commonly in packs. which is...Lara's, like, Whole Thing. a house for the living etc etc..

I don't think i need to explain wolves too much either way. theyre The Furry Animal. whatever you know about wolves is probably true for Lara. it seems low-effort but trust me this decision took forever LMAO

and i mean...look at her. she looks like a wolf

*Artemy here is a bull because... yeah. that's the most obvious one. as #1 artemy fan i couldn't in good conscious make him anything other than a bull even if it's low effort idgaf... ill look at types of bulls for him later.

actually fuck it we're talkignm about it now. it being how shinsekai yori deals with sex and sexuality.

's fuckin weird dude! and its genuinely hard, once again, to tell what the author's stance on this is! in the beginning we learn that ancient humans, in attempting to create a new social model, considered basing it on bonobo society. bonobos as you may know are extremely promiscuous monkeys that solve nearly all interpersonal problems with sex. they decided against this, saying it wouldnt work, but elements are present in the society the show presents us. theyre much more permissible about sex and sexuality than modern japan. same-sex relationships are seen as completely normal for our 14-year-old protagonists. but we'll come back to that.

the knowledge that society couldve been based on bonobo sexual mores haunts saki for years. any time she's in a sexual situation, she thinks back on it. the first time is when her comphet boyfriend tries to have sex with her while theyre kidnapped by bakenezumi, and her response is basically 'we're better than monkeys'. which like, good on her for rejecting unwanted advances, but it bodes ill for the narrative the show pushes re: sex and sexuality.

at 14, the group's relationship dynamics look like this: saki is dating maria, but she's actually in love with shun, a boy ive neglected to talk about at all. saki's comphet boyfriend is dating shun and in love with him. shun tolerates this. maria is in love with saki. and mamoru is dating no one, and is in love with maria. i cant blame him. anyway we've got two cute little gay couples in our friend group! nobody seems to have anything to say about this, so its socially acceptable, right? i mean. sure. if youre 14. there are no adults in gay relationships. the assumption is still there, 1000 years in the future, that being gay is something that kids grow out of, some kind of practice for proper adult heterosexual relationships that can bear children. the only difference between modern japan and this fictional world is that boys are also allowed to be gay with each other as kids.

but even then! the narrative treats comphet boyfriend's gayness and saki's gayness completely differently. there's a validity to comphet boyfriend's feelings that is not afforded to saki. her feelings for maria are constantly overshadowed by her True Feelings for shun. meanwhile, comphet boyfriend's True Feelings for shun are just accepted. even years later, when maria's out of the picture, comphet boyfriend's gay crush is treated seriously. as 14 year olds, saki asks mamoru if it's really all that fun to choose to be alone and pine for the one you love instead of hooking up with someone. its pretty clear that she asks this because she wonders if she made the wrong choice to date maria, and maybe she shouldve stayed single hoping to get a chance with shun. when she's with maria, she remembers the bonobos. isnt she supposed to be better than this?

maria's crush on saki is more real, but it's not taken seriously either. she leaves her to be with mamoru, who she's never shown romantic interest in. but he loves her, and she cant have babies with saki, so it's only natural, right? sure she's sad to leave saki, but she has a Duty to this boy who has a crush on her, or something.

i dunno. i dont want to say the author is critiquing homosexuality here, or saying we should be better than that, or better than sex with little or no attachment, but it would be hard to deny it.

OKAY SO u only have the full context but i get to ramble ALL I WANT AS U SAID SOOOO Im working on an au's design that i told you about. so far silhoutttes good i LOVE THEM. dying at this one concept CAUSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH HAVENT SEEN IT YET BUT SORT OF BUT NOT ENTIRELY. Anyway design wise 3/5 look good! i can work with them (its colors per usual bestie as u KNOW) the other two look too much like Vamp lunar and of eachother and im like ... i need to fix this cause vvamp lunar different (did u know i fleetingly considered using him for this??? i decided against it i like making new things) THEN THEN THERES MY OWN PIZZAPLEX AU which i havent touched in a while but i rmabled enough about it to you but i never showed off the thing i was doing about that. SUN!LUNAR AU PLAGUES ME ONCE A WHILE. BUT I DONT TALK ENOUGH ABOUT HIM. Love me some Solar vibing with his new bro and not having a crisis about the other two. Whomst are still having issues (I will remind u all that NICE ECLIPSE'S MOON was something he was also trying to save. That it wasn't verbal abuse until the more recent episodes when they reintroduced how his world is. Makes a good reason for Solar to leave tho.) My au's Moon has bad mood swings. Does Bloodmoon Exist? No. Does KC? No. Could they? KC can't anylonger unless they legit kept that code but i doubt that. (Due to Moon literally wanting it out. title is self explanatory and some of these might just be based on vibes and sound rather than as a whole but I tried to keep it also based on the general dance/performance and lyrically aswell. idk this is just for fun because ive thought about this a bit lol ALSO i tried to keep these as soloist songs but i think a lot of group songs fit her so most of them are just group songs lol

I mean first of all the title is LITERALLY called Heroine like... come on. This song for me is very nalu core like whenever i hear this song the lyrics scream nalu from a Lucy POV, for me anyway. Mostly the lyrics about a hero, lucy herself has agreed that natsu is kinda like her hero in the RAVE x FT crossover little comic if you didn't know. I would said the sound kinda fits lucy its not too brooding but not too crazy and hyper and its a good middle ground that I think would suit her :)

Okay so I was deciding between killin' me good and pop for this list because I think they both fit her in diff ways but I think pop is better for her because its whimsical and silly and happy with a bit of cunty and that's very lucy for me <3 but in general I think both songs would work for her but anyway yes pop is very silly and fun and cute and i think thats very fitting for lucy and she would rock the pop m/v outfits

Okay this one is both based lyrically and vibe vise. I think it sounds like something lucy would perform its a powerful song but not too over the top and a good middle ground that would suit lucy. anyways the lyrics from the first chorus:

i loveee this song and honestly a lot of dreamcatcher songs I imagine nalu scenarios in my head to them because theyre songs are sooo catchy and fast paced I can imagine the craziest things,, anyway the reason I chose this song was mostly the lyrics i mean things like

i cant explain it but this is definitely them theyre soulmates and the "maybe you dont but i love you" definitely suits lucy i specifically thought of the line in 100yq of her thinking natsu doesnt like her in that way but you know she loves him anyway and they'll be together forever in his words etc etc

again i cant really explain how this is them but if i had to i would say the way theyre really close and best friends and yet have fallen in love with eachother but are hurting eachother going in circles with their relationship and not confronting their fears about losing each other either quite literally or their relationship and it's gonna build up until it explodes lol

okay last part these lyrics really remind me of the ending in dragon cry when lucy tells natsu that even with the different conflicting parts of him she knows him and she knows that even with all of that hes still just natsu and its what he needed to hear and she just knew that so :)

and also other than the lyrics I think the song can be very lucy sounding,, to me anyways :D

Okay after the essay on the last one I wanted to do a song that has a more simple explanation,, so Billlie have amazing songs theyre one of my favourite kpop groups and if you haven't listened to their songs they bang so hard please listen <3 anyways the lyrics are all based around of course an enchanted night with lines like "The moon is freaky, the stars are dreamy" etc etc which of course suits lucy due to the stars and such but also the moon part made me think of the galuna island arc and of course the whole eclipse gate and such so yeah! (also the song sounds soft and pretty like lucy.. (: )

Playing with Fire by Blackpink

another song based off of lyrics being very nalu i mean... playing with fire as a title is very nalu,, but also the lyrics are about going too far in love and getting hurt getting burnt etc etc which like you know that one scene in 100yq and like the whole slow burn thing they have,, its very fitting to me imo and also the sound suits lucy its again middle ground powerful but not too overwhelming to the point where its too powerful that it wouldnt suit lucy (not saying she isnt powerful she has her moments which is why i think a middle ground is good)

Queencard - G-IDLE

this might be a hit or miss for some people,, but hear me outtttt... I wanted to add a song thats very high confidence and powerful but a lot of songs in mind were too dark and serious but and I feel like this fits the most,, its feminine and fun with confidence and cunt slayage and its silly and fun and its so lucy to me its so so so lucy too me. I need to draw lucy in a queencard stage outfit like yesterday thank yew also i know a lot of people thought the lyrics were cringe and this that blah blah blah but i think adds to the fun and it kinda fits lucy sometimes shes a little silly and girlfail and thats okay we love her for it

(I will leave it there for now but theres defo more songs out there for this but I dont want to make this toooo long and obv i included these songs a lot because I like them and some other people may not like the songs or agree that they suit lucy but its how I view them and its just for fun :)

Day 1 - Japan Blog - 7 February 2024

Day One: Adelaide to Tokyo Virgin Airlines via Melbourne and Cairns

Let's begin our departure to Japan. My sixth time visiting Nippon, and this time I hope to see and experience new things I havent been able to before.

My previous trips have been more to the cities to shop and to Disneyland but as I become more infatuated with this country, I am drawn to more meaningful experiences. It used to be about the video games, the collectables, the cute accessories and conveniences I couldnt get at home -- but now I am intrigued with the history, culture and nature of Japan. Hopefully I can manage to do everything I want to do and all the things, I wasnt expecting. (Because, theyre always the best!)

Leaving our house at 4am this morning was always a challenge; especially when I finished packing at 2am. So, we jumped in the uber which was driven by a super eccentric female driver who made me want to drop everying and start uber driving -- how is this even a thing I would want to do? She was so funny and chirpy and smart. It made the ride memorable and we made it to the airport with the rest of our holiday to look forward to.

Second up, checking in at Virgin Airlines in Adelaide Airport was also a huge highlight. The person helped us with our check in -- not that we needed it, but she upgraded our domestic flights to extra legroom which made my travel partner very happy.

I'm travelling with my partner of 4 years; Ben. He is 6"3 and loves an extra legroom seat! You'll probably learn a lot about him through my posts. He likes good food and music!

Well, after discovering that our VA fare is NOT a full service fare (I am NOT happy about this, shook, stricken, SLANDER!) as I would NEVER... but apparently; flying trans-tasman with VA doesn't mean you get a meal or a blanket or a pillow or a nice piece of metal. We are on a Boeing 737-800 Max for 9 hours with NO SNACKS. I think, because I booked this hastily, on their website (opposed to through a GDS with the option to see ancillaries) without the complete details -- I assumed it was a short haul international flight, and compared it with Qantas' service. I was wrong. The inflight entertainment is BYO device (which I didnt...) and the 737800 isnt fitted with Wifi onboard so I couldnt even download anything to watch. Their WiFi was working, so you could use their Free Entertainment, however I found it lagged and I couldn't even watch it through the buffering. So I just stuck to my knitting -- without music though because my Spotify decided I didnt need my downloaded music either.

It was a very long and semi-uncomfortable flight.

After the gruelling hours of trying to sleep, trying to finish my knitting and also doing some work... we landed in Haneda! HOORAY! Now time to do customs, and head to our hotel. Almost there.

For those playing at home; here is a quick breakdown of how to enter Japan.

-Grab an entry card and declaration card from your air host/ess. They will provide the physical card for you to fill in to give when you go through customs.

-Alternatively; visit Japanweb.gov.jp (I dont have a photo of it, because you cant use cameras in customs, and I used the physical card option -- I love filling out these things!!) and you can do it all online and scan your QR at the gate.

The entry card tells the Japanese Government what your intentions on visiting Japan. IE: Tourism, visiting a relative, Business, etc -- and how long you intend to stay, where you're going to be staying -- all that jazz.

The declarations card is about what you are BRINGING in to JAPAN. So please dont bring things like fruit, meat, dangerous goods, illegal substances (this can be some medications like Codeine and Pseudoephedrine so please check with your doctor -- and get a note if you take medication regularly that might not be "legal" in Japan). If you dont bring any of this with you; you dont need to declare anything and you can walk straight through once you've shown your passport.

-Line up and have your passport at the ready. Keep your entry cards with your passport.

-They will scan your finger prints and take your photo first. (We had to do this twice...)

-Line up again to go through the gates.

-This is where they will stamp your passport and grant your access.

Once youve gone through this part; you're almost there!!

-Pick up your bags.

-Find the carosel with the flight you just arrived on. (IE: VA77 is on carosel 6) Your bags will come out here.

-Collect your bags and take them to the gates on the other side.

-Show your passport and declaration card and you *should* be good to enter.

Here we go! We are in JAPAN -- the first port of call is to get our mascot for the trip. This is something Ive done since my 2018 trip and it's fun and cute and it makes me happy to share my experience through a silly icon's eyes. Walk towards the "Keihan" Train Line which will get you to Tokyo. This is a trainline that goes direct from Haneda airport to Tokyo and connects to any of the main train networks in Tokyo. It really doesn't matter what neighbourhood you are staying in; 90% of the time this will be the train you need to get you to where you want to go. On the LEFT there is a 7/11 (get money from the ATM in the left corner, and then grab some snacks and a drink so you've got some coins..) because on the RIGHT there are a bunch of Gacha Machines where I like to find my mascot.

This time; NOTHING. No lil dudes. So, we will keep looking.

Take the Escalators down to the train platform and board the train to TOKYO/SHINAGAWA and you're on your way.

Back to my blog; Ben and I had our heart set on this ramen place we found by accident last time we were in Akihabara. We call it "Midnight Ramen" because he wanted ramen at midnight and it came through with the GOODS... alas. We dropped our bags at our hotel in Shinagawa and did a quick change into something warm. (It was 36degrees when we left Adelaide and now we are facing 2degrees and SNOW!) Slammed on a beanie and caught the Yamanote to Akiba; to find that our ramen place was closed for renovations. The SADDEST TIME! Akiba isn't known for its ramen so we had to find something else... how devastating.

We found a Hakata style ramen place. It was a 6/10. It got a point for being open. Also, it was okay. The Nori (seaweed) had cute printed sayings on it which I thought was cute (gross, but cute). Then I found out that another branch of the other ramen place was open in Shinagawa, only a 6 minute walk from our hotel. Let's pretend like that didnt happen.

After we ate, we became acquainted with our new local Kombini (7/11, convenience store) attached to our hotel, and purchased some necessities.

HI IM AN INSANE BAXSTAN AND SWIFTIE AND UR RYT MR PERFECTLY FINE HAS IMMENSE BAXMC POTENTIAL

while i think its not Unlikely for mc to forgive baxter within the span of the dlc, i DO think theyre not given enough options to feel complicated abt it. u pretty much have to decide how to feel from the start, and arent given a lot of room to change ur mind. For example, my mc Anne is a very forgiving person, especially with bax bc she understands his need to be entertaining & liked. HOWEVER she starts the dlc off thinking "ok if hes gonna be distant i can do that" but then when he jokes with xavier shes like "well im CONFUSED now and i need answers" and shes irritated, but also still likes him. after the bowling she hugs him and is still like confused, but again likes him still. by the time shes baking with him, shes both confused and endeared with him but is kinda harsh with him, even when hes apologizing at the wedding.

All this to say; its not UNREALISTIC mc would forgive in that timespan, its just the lack of complexity mc is or is not afforded that makes it feel too fast. additionally, while u do get to be mad, theres no real moderation for it, and no way to be like "this is a start, but it will take time to trust him fully again". so yeah, it feels rushed and personally i think it was rushed to be released due to whatever reasons (either not caring abt baxter or wanting to work on olnf, who knows)

anyway, i would go on about baxters dlc and its shortcomings for hours if given a chance so for now ill just call it here <3 signed, 🌸Anon

i do think there was a lotta effort n good stuff but into baxter, and i also havent replayed it since they updated some stuff so maybe its a bit better since release

but i do agree i think the emotional range is very limited its either "idc anymore", "im mad", "i look back fondly", "im pretty sad abt it", n all that stuff n its just pretty straight forward in whatever you choose

i think step 4 is a bit short? maybe?

i think baxter's dlc was more focused on the "i am hurt" and "i have XYZ reasons for being like this" and it goes through all that and its less "lets work through your complex feelings/this is how you reacted when we met again bc you felt/feel very conflicted and now we will work thru it"

BAXTER DLC IS LITERALLY "I CAN FIX HIM" OMFG

but honestly i like the baxter dlc better than the derek dlc bc i HATED how "i can do everything by myself!!!!" derek was in step 2 and how sibling focused it was, i man i still loved it of course but i wish derek n mc had more 1 on 1 time

and then in step 4 it was like "i missed out on everything, i feel shitty n im sorry!" and mc just.... idk maybe i need to play it again but i was still mad derek ghosted for a whole step n then it was still very family focused, and while i loved that as well

i just wanted more derek by himself, i wanted to pamper him n love him n just yk

idk, all the dlc's are so good but i do think the forgiveness is very quick which makes sense bc they're making ol2 but man, i would love if it was just double the length or half that to just flesh it out some bc i wanted some sweet moments w the boys as well :(((
