Drabble 84/366 - Doctor Who

This has never been a problem before, but then, the Doctor has never had a companion whose legs were so tiny.

One moment, Amelia is on his heels. The next, he looks back to see her at the end of the hallway. His screwdriver is in one hand, unlocking the door, but she won’t make it.

The Doctor careens back down the hall, screwdriver between his teeth as he scoops her up, and runs.

A bolt of energy clips his ear. He tucks Amelia’s head down.

“You need longer limbs,” he tells her, “or heelys.” Amelia, safe and sound, laughs.

My dear Jacashe!! I love you two so! 🥰

But yeah, as I said in a personal post recently, POTC Jacob and Duncan were in my sketchbook yesterday at work -- this is the one I finished, loosely inspired by a scene in the very last chapter where Jack and Ashe are forced to separate by circumstance but are very reluctant about the whole thing, while the other unfinished one is set at the beginning of the second act. These expressions were honestly challenging for me as an asexual person, and even though I can't really say if they turned out as sensual as I had hoped, they at least look aesthetically decent to my eye. Because of Ashe's height difference here, as well as his overall body language, one could be forgiven for thinking he's the top in this relationship, but hahaha, nope! Even if he's shorter by about three inches than his partner, Jacob is far more impulsive and open in expressing his intense emotions, so he's much more the type to initiate anything romantic or sexual out of the two (once he finally figures out he's fallen head over heels for Ashe in the first place, which admittedly takes a while). In all universes where these two hook up, Ashe is a "power bottom" more than anything, putting in the guard rails for Jacob and having the final say about what they do or don't do. That doesn't mean that Merman-First-Mate!Ashe hasn't sometimes used his mermish abilities to egg Pirate-Lord-and-Captain!Jack on a bit seduction-wise once they become an official couple. 😂

vaguesadposting again but finding out about ********, as heartbreaking as it was, also makes me grateful that i do constantly tell people that no matter how much or little i talk to them and even if years go past they always have a place in my heart and i would drop everything for them to be there when they need me because at the end of the day if i could say one final thing to her, itd be that. and i cant do that for her. but i can make sure no one else ever goes without knowing that.

Can someone tell you what to do? You have been carrying so much love within you for so long it is starting to turn into anger (why does it matter, all you see is red anyways) and you have been dragging this body through each day and every night you are split open on your bed and it is so so so lonely. If someone were to walk in while you were on your bed that way and they stitched you back in a new way, lining the seams with their love and kisses, you’d probably find this dreary world a little more bearable. You want someone to turn you over and over until you look in the mirror and see yourself looking back at yourself with a gentleness which has been lacking in you since forever.

a knife called grief

You have left your house, you have left those people behind, but what are you going to do about the memories which have taken root in you? You can run but not without them. You want someone to sit with you on this cool marble floor while the sun burns everything.You want them to cut your rotten heart and theirs too. You want to sit with it in front of you, let them see you with all your flaws, which haven’t been your fault but you have been made to believe so, and you want them to love you anyways. Because you know you’d do that for them.

hrmmm thinking of my oc afterlife story again…

i love when there is an afterlife that is a place and all of the dead people are just continuing from where they left off in it… tis a comforting thought

#i love the concept of an afterlife esp because as a kid i was scared it would be like being in a dark place holding your breath forever #i feel like now that you probably wouldn’t need to breathe if ur dead so it probably isnt that excruciating #butanyways thats off topic #theres a guy in the story whose partner in the real world is stuck in a time loop where the guy is doomed to die in his lovers arms each tim #which normally would be dramatic and a whole plot on its own but since this is an afterlife pov my guy just keeps coming back every week #like ‘yo guys what did i miss’ which i think is really funny #sometimes sad things can be silly from another angle. and vice versa
