Let's say, hypothetically, I'm gonna let my, presumed man, Parappa know that noodles rule the world, and let's even say, I'm speaking in parenthesis. since i can already hear people saying it now, lets go ahead and talk about the differences between this lightning/coma instance of bucks' and eddie's accident in the well, and more importantly, how their reactions differ.

as we are well aware, buck is very extroverted. he is showy with his emotions, very much wears his heart on his sleeve and is proud of it.

eddie isn't. he's reserved, doesnt trust people very easily and has deep issues that dont allow anyone in without time, energy and perserverance.

this is why they work, but its also why they react differently.

take in 3.15 when eddie was practically presumed dead and buck was screaming bloody murder to find eddie, having to be physically pushed back in order to not hurt himself in trying to find eddie.

this continued, albeit lesser, after eddie was saved. he was still visibly distraught, catching his breath and still actively crying.

this is because buck feels so deep, and so outwardly, that he expresses his deep tragic feelings so externally.

however, after eddie got flung off and he realized buck was dangling, he did scream. he screamed to see if he was awake or even alive, if he would respond etc.

he went entirely into work mode once he was fixing the problem, lowering the ladder leash, getting the board ready and focusing on driving.

and yes, eddie, after saving buck, does not look physically upset, that man in on desperate work mode. he is dying inside but is so walled up that his gut reaction is to focus on the task at hand. he's gon through war and so much fucking trauma, that he almost becomes numb when something else happens.

but the pain inside of that head of his is stronger that either of them have screamed for each other before.
