my writing tips ₊˚⊹ ᰔ

dialogue. this one is toughhh bc i feel like a lot can ride on dialogue. my biggest tip for dialogue would be to just write all of your dialogue for a scene completely stripped down. none of the “he says” & “she says” or action verbs inbetween, just write it all out like it was a simple text convo w quotation marks. that way the words will sound realistic because you’re only picturing a convo in your head, rather than also trying to juggle all the descriptive prose. after you’ve got the dialogue, then you can go back in to fluff things up. if it’s meant to be comedic or a fast-paced argument, i think keeping it relatively stripped down is the way to go, but if it’s something intense or suspenseful then fluffing it up may be the better choice. also, i find dialogue becomes easier the more you write for a specific character, so if it’s not flowing right away, don’t worry!! their words will find you eventually once you get to know the character better :)

on choosing conflicts. this can be harddd because sometimes you just want the story to exist in happy land haha. but just like you said so beautifully in the sweet kickoff ch8 review you gave me, characters won’t always act perfect, but i think a great way to make conflict seem realistic is for them to act in character but with flaws, rather than just randomly out of character with flaws. maybe make a list of what that character’s good qualities and how those qualities could also work against them, and use the latter to brainstorm realistic conflict that those qualities could put them in (ex: a character is self-sufficient, but that causes them to rely on ppl less when they need it -> they fail to reach out for help in timely manners and leads to mistakes/regrets)

pacing. the biggessstt most important thing in my opinion for writing i believe is nailing the pacing. especially for fanfiction where people may be more interested in specific niche scenes rather than all of the stuff built around it. when starting off a story, don’t be afraid to just jump straight into it! or jump straight into the dialogue and then build the scene gradually as it progresses, rather than [gigantic block of text in beginning of scene that reader must drag their eyes through] and then get to the dialogue (im sooo bad w this myself lmao i fluff things up too much). in a world where attention spans are decreasing (rip), a lot of the times less is more. make sure the pacing fits the scene (romantic -> longer paragraphs more focused on subtle details, comical -> short paragraphs w simple n relatable diction, etc)

creating characters. with fanfiction this can be easy since you already have fleshed out characters from shows/books to work off of, but a good way to characterize is to just include little details that give them personality! not only is it a way to allow the reader to resonate with the character, but also it gives other characters in the story an opportunity to notice those lil quirks and create bonds over them as well. i just picture my friends or family in my head, the things i love about them, and incorporate it (i know nothing about film photography but my friend is a film major n thats where i got the idea for mc in kickoff)

for tone and mood. i think to get words flowing for different scenes, it can be really useful to get into the environment of those scenes while you’re writing, such as listening to a song that fits the vibe of the scene prior to/during writing (i blasted tgif by katy perry while writing the party scenes in ch6 of kickoff lol), or if its a scene at night, write it w the lights off, or watch a youtube vid w scenery that matches. may sound silly, but it could help! if i write something angsty in a really bright sunshine environment it’s hard for me to get the words

read more. this is sort of a miscellaneous one but a good way to subconsciously get better at writing is to just read more! your brain kinda learns how to write on its own when you read. also, when i’m reading, if i see words i really like i jot them down in my notes app so i have my own lil vocabulary of words that i know i would like to use in my writing

on writing insecurities. be proud of your writing!! your first draft does NOT have to be perfect. some days the words will flow, but on some they won’t, and that’s okay. don’t get too into your head about “i wonder what readers will think of this plot point or this character action” etc, i think having faith in your own process but also in your readers will bring you a lot of peace as you write :) create what you want to create and the rest will follow!! when i first started posting kickoff i was overthinking sooo many things that ended up being received just fine by readers in the end, so just stick to your plan 🫶🏼💕

use chatgpt. looool ai can be useful in writing too! i usually only use it after i'm completed with a draft, and i just plug select paragraphs into it to see if it can come up with some better words for me to use. it's also useful to come up with logistical details for aspects of your stories for world-building etc (no clue anything ab professional collegiate soccer games i've never been to one but i used chatgpt to come up with the scenes)

re: meta again. first, thank you for the long answer! you have a lot of interesting points, e.g. how fandom spaces influence how you interact with media: my first fandom space was restricted to teenagers who mostly knew nothing about media analysis (and it was also animanga haha), and then I moved onto tumblr, where - in my memory - most users were slightly older teenagers but still didn't know much about media analysis. there probably was meta somewhere (apparently on LJ?), but I didn't see (or notice?) a lot of it. which possibly also was because I changed fandoms a lot more quickly, and I feel like many others did, too. there's a book fandom where five years ago, the general sentiment about an antagonist was 'well fuck him' and now people write extensive posts on why he did what and what that means for the story and why it mirrors the protagonists arc etc, which maybe means that sometimes fandoms need time to get past the initial excitement of new things to give more attention/time to meta?

I very much agree that tumblr makes interactions/discussions harder. especially re: reblogs - its so easy for someone to disagree with you in a reblog and some of their followers to take that as a hint to hate on you - I've seen this happen mostly related to "shipping the wrong things", but why wouldn't it happen for drawing the "wrong" conclusions in a meta post? I feel like the general tumblr user is older than they were 10 years ago so maybe I should hope that they've grown up as well and are more reasonable about this to be fair

what I also noticed regarding the book fandom and TF is that TF fans - depending on your specific bubble probably - seem to be more aware that writing meta is a thing, because they're more likely to call it that.

re: elitism - it's important to me that the things I was referring to can feel elitist, not that they are, if the distiction makes sense? maybe it also wasn't the best/fairest choice of words, sorry. the sentiment isn't meant towards e.g. the people complaining about headcanons that have become accepted in the fandom but have zero relation to canon. its more frustration that theres seemingly infinite canon material and you can't really join any conversation without interacting with a good chunk of it, while (seemingly) everyone else has already done that already.

and finally, wonder if part of who writes meta and who doesn't is fandom "socialization"; there seem to be a few people for whom it appears easy to express their thoughts online, and then a much larger amount of lurkers who don't, and I've never really figured out the cause.

First of all: no apologies for the long message! I love it, I will put my thoughts under a cut for everyone's dashes but we LOVE an in depth fandom meta-meta discussion in this household. I started this blog to RAMBLE and rambling is WELCOME my friend.

You make an EXCELLENT point about how longevity can influence fandoms here, anon. Especially for fandoms where there isn't a constant drip-feed of NEW canon, I absolutely think fandoms living on and people going back and re-engaging the source material to look for new ways to engage it can gradually make meta a larger part of the fannish space sometimes. (To give my own book fandom example, I was on the periphery of book!Good Omens fandom back in the day, and the amount of time people had spent with just that one single book meant that more and more discussion of the ways you could read and work with that one book meant there was some very in-depth meta going on there.) (…as you can imagine, the last few years have been a hell of a wild time for me with the show fandom becoming the Hot New Major Fandom, LMAOOOO.)

There's definitely also something there about the old "if someone I follow clowns on a person, my (para)social relationship with them means I feel like I'm doing a social faux-pas by not choosing a side" you mention here too. Tumblr really makes visible the idea of social networks in a way I have to admit I overall find uhhh. Kind of not great. "If I follow someone who follows someone my mutual hates, do I need to perform my support of someone here", that kind of thing. (Answer: no, that is some Panopticon shit, bring in the Foucault. I am only half joking.) Even over an objectively inane Transformers headcanon take, it's the social mechanism more than the content that brings in the pressure I think. Again. Web 2.0 wants everything pushed at everyone all the time to encourage More Interaction, and reducing any sense of wider social circles being removed from you personally is a part of that I think. It's all equal on The Endless Timeline, innit.

I see what you mean about the "feels like" distinction on elitism, anon, now you lay that out- that makes sense. I do think TF fandom is sometimes a bit of a minefield in terms of like, even within certain subdivisions of canon there's so MUCH stuff (and the fandom has, IMO, a bad habit of not bothering to decide what is more or less "useful" in conversations; sometimes tertiary material is… you know. Tertiary. LOOKING AT ALIGNED FANDOM). I think those of us who are sometimes a bit more "canon completionist" do need to approach these things in terms of like- take IDW1 fandom. If someone posts meta about MTMTE based on just material from MTMTE, approaching that in good faith and not going "well it's in continuity with phase one, and THIS phase one comic says [xyz]", but instead seeing it as a perspective that takes that one text as a complete thing in itself? (And maybe considering how that perspective and how it differs from one which looks at the whoooole canon is interesting, rather than deficient, in its differences of opinion.) There are folks who get very snotty about people doing that in a way that is, at the very least, unproductive. (And the folks bringing in their Extensive Lore Knowledge TM by whining stuff from other continuities contradicts a take on a different continuity are just uhhh. Annoying. Those people can just Stop, Please, lmao.) I think understanding that different approaches to what "canon" even is can be interesting rather than something to be "corrected" might go some way to making it feel less… intimidating? Alienating? For folks working with what they like.

As for the confidence in sharing opinions thing… I can only speak for myself but uh. If I have a personal flaw it is unwarranted overconfidence, not insecurity, haha. Let me put it that way. I do think that cultivating a confidence in the idea "I have my own personal tastes, and those tastes are idiosyncratic and do not need to be compared to other peoples' taste, and they are Valid TM" is a skill to be honed and one I think is worth honing, and I think may be a big thing here from my anecdotal observations. I find that many people in fandom don't have a lot of confidence in the idea that you can express not just an argument for "objective" (lol) "quality" but a sense of personal taste? (This is not unique to fandom, at all, but I think fandom has a lot of it, if that makes sense.) Especially because often the things fandom centres around lack cultural prestige. It's why an appeal to being Real Literature TM is the go-to argument for why fanfiction is "acceptable". I think a similar thing can be true of opinions; to let go of the urge to have everyone agree with you 100% of the time and to be "proven" right, you have to feel confident enough to sit in subjectivity and be like. My opinions may be subjective, but that's fine. And you do have to cultivate that! But I think that's where the "I can express an opinion and not feel destroyed if someone flat out rejects it and I can't even disprove their argument" trick kinda lies, maybe. And maybe meta is easier if you've already internalized that, so the possibility people will be like "nope" is less scary?

“Are you comfortable?” you ask the person lying on the couch with his legs resting on the coffee table in front of him.

You only receive a chuckle in response, making you frown and turn to look at him. He’s not the type to miss an opportunity to tease you like he constantly does, but maybe the silence is the way he’s decided to tease you today. When your eyes meet his, he smirks and removes his legs from the coffee table; relief sinks in, but it fades away when he manspreads more than what’s even necessary and murmurs cockily.

“I would be more comfortable if you were in my lap. But yeah, I am comfortable, thank you.”

You cannot punch him, you tell yourself. You cannot punch Jeon Jungkook as much as you’re craving it, because you would never hear the end of it from Namjoon. What you can do, though, is hit him in some other way. You walk towards him and part your legs enough to make it seem like you’re about to straddle his lap. You put one knee on the couch and grab a pillow when he least expects it - he’s too busy deciding whether to look at your cleavage or at what you’re doing - and hit his chest with it, twice.

“Stop hitting Jungkook, Y/N.” A voice behind you orders, and you’re sure that they’re trying their hardest to stifle their laughter.

You smooth your clothes and leave the pillow back where it was before, turning around and walking away from Jungkook. Namjoon is looking at you with an eyebrow raised, like he is expecting an explanation to why you were hitting Jungkook.

“Your sister has gone insane, hyung. All I did was say hello and she started attacking me!” Jungkook exclaims, rubbing his chest with a pained expression that you know is one hundred percent fake.

“You know that is not true! You walk in here like it’s your fucking house and-.” You’re rudely interrupted by your brother’s groan, but it’s enough to make you shut up and listen.

“I know, and I would bet a lot of money, that you definitely said more than hello for her to be this pissed. And you,” Namjoon points at you, addressing you with a much calmer tone than what he used with Jungkook. “Just ignore him, okay? I’m sorry my best friend is an asshole.”

“He’s more than that…” you murmur as you leave the room, heading towards the kitchen to get your lunch.

There is not a specific reason why you despise Jungkook. You guys did not even know about each other’s existence until the day your brother befriended him and he started invading your house almost every fucking weekend. Every weekend was acceptable enough, but then it started increasing to Mondays and Wednesdays for some “group studying”, and now it’s like a daily thing.

You’d believe Jungkook has it for Namjoon if it weren’t for his playboy reputation.

Okay, maybe there is a reason why you despise him. Every day, without exception, that you see each other, there is teasing on his behalf - today it was sitting on his lap, the other day it came in the form of “that guy won’t please you like I will”, just because he saw you talking to Jung Hoseok - your lab partner - on your way back home. He believes every woman is dying for him and his dick game. And the worst part of it all is that he is after you, it doesn’t matter if you’re his best friend’s sister. But of course, until he gets you, he keeps getting his dick wet with whoever’s available.

“Are you going to stay here tonight, Y/N?” Namjoon’s voice pulls you out of your thoughts; he makes his way inside the kitchen to grab two cups for him and Jungkook.

“The only place I may be going tonight will be that bakery from down the street for some brownies. I have a lot of shit to do.” You let out a small groan, the mental image of your to-do list is quick to appear.

“You should order some food. Namjoon and I will be going out, Jimin is waiting for us at his apartment,” Jungkook suggests out of nowhere, sounding close but far away at the same time.

You turn around and notice he is leaning against the door frame, that same smirk you wanted to wipe minutes ago back in his face. As always, he has managed to annoy you with simple actions - this time it’s meddling in your conversation with your brother. Deciding to be nice for once and sparing you another negative situation, you give him a saccharine smile and grab your bottle of water, making your way out of the kitchen.

jungkook [1:30 a.m]: guess who’s at jimin’s apartment

jungkook [1:32 a.m]: your little fuckbuddy, hoseok

you [1:37 a.m]: remind me to block your number, i only have it in case there’s an emergency.

jungkook [1:37 a.m]: so you won’t deny you’re fucking him?

If you don’t answer, you’re letting him win. If you do answer, this will only continue, and you’re way too comfortable right now in your bed to waste the small amount of energy left in your body telling Jungkook’s stubborn ass that you’re not hooking up with Hoseok.

Maybe you can avoid the question so subtly, he won’t question you again and again.

you [1:42 a.m]: why is he there tho lol, u guys aren’t even friends

Internally hoping the minutes you took to reply will make him stop bothering you, you turn off the lamp on the nightstand and lock your phone, grabbing your charger and connecting your phone to it. You leave the device on the nightstand and turn on your side, opting to ignore the two vibrations coming from your phone - you’ll check the messages in the morning.

“He was being a bitch from the moment he stepped foot in the living room, I even lost my temper and hit him with a pillow.”

Hoseok lets out an unrestrained cackle after hearing your confession of the violent act, putting his slice of pizza back in the box in order to clap for you, making you halt in your steps in the middle of the room, turning to look at him with a shy grin.

“Stop that, no. As much as it felt good, don’t need you encouraging my violent activities,” you joke, going back to your desk to collect your notebook and calculator, sitting next to him on the bed.

“How can I not? I know you’ve been dying to hit him from the day he started hitting on you.” Hoseok grabs a slice of pizza and puts it on a napkin, handing it to you.

You thank him with a nod of your head and give the slice a bite, sighing at the deliciousness.

“But that’s not the worst part. He texted me at one in the morning just to tell me my fuckbuddy Hoseok is at the party with him.” You scoff, proceeding to bite and chew on your pizza furiously, annoyed at Jungkook’s behaviour.

“So he randomly texts you about me at one a.m?” Hoseok questions in disbelief, grabbing the slice again and giving it a bite, shaking his head in amusement.

Your anger turns to mirth when you notice that Hoseok’s actions are a little similar to yours, making you shift closer to him to rest your head on his shoulder.

“You enjoy this just as much as I do, don’t you?” Giggling, you hug his arm and sigh. “But yeah, the last messages he sent said something like ‘I’m trying to get to know your boyfriend more to prove to you that he’s not good enough for you’.”

“Oh my god, Y/N, you can totally turn this around for your benefit!” Hoseok exclaims, hugging you with his free arm in excitement.

“What do you mean? That conversation? I cannot text him all out of the blue and reopen something that’s closed.”

“Not that way. What if you and I pretend to date, so that way he will back away. I may not know Jungkook, but I know Jimin; he has told me several times that if Jungkook finds out a girl is taken, he backs away. So he’s probably still hitting on you because the only proof he has of you being taken is seeing us together, and we’ve never done something… crazy.” Hoseok elaborates, looking at you to gauge your reaction. He arches an eyebrow when you say nothing.

“Define crazy, for starters… I’m not going to agree without knowing all the terms and conditions.” You lean backwards a little to face him, your scrutinizing glance analyzing him.

Hoseok pinches your thigh and you slap his hand in response, watching him shake his head.

“We never cross the friendly limits. We hug, talk, hang out… but nothing more than that. Maybe if he sees us kissing, dancing, and all that jazz, he will get the message and back off.” He explains, chuckling at the change in your expression now that he has clarified his idea.

“Wow… Let’s do it, I’d never thought about it and if it wasn’t for you, I’d probably have to buy a pillow to carry around for whenever I feel like hitting him.” Sitting up straight, you face Hoseok once again and show him your hand, offering a handshake to seal the deal.

He takes your hand in his and gives it a firm squeeze, winking at you. Next thing you know, he’s moving the pizza box away from the bed and pulling you into his lap, securing his arms around your waist.

“What the fuck is happening?” You tilt your head, biting your lip to suppress the smile that’s trying to slip. Hoseok loosens his hold around your waist as if to give you room to get off, yet you don’t, you only get more comfortable.

“I figured we should practice if we are actually going to do this eventually. Call it getting to know each other.” He puts one hand on your cheek and caresses your bottom lip with his thumb, freeing it from your teeth.

The moment he sees you leaning forward, he does the same, allowing you to taste his lips for the first - and definitely not the last - time.

The loud bass of the music greets you, along with the sound of glass breaking and some laughter following it. Weird combo, you think, grabbing Hoseok’s hand to not get lost between so many people. He laces his fingers with yours and throws a smirk your way, discreetly tilting his head. You get the memo - directing your glance to where he is signaling - Jungkook’s group, sitting at the very back of the room.

It feels weird. You’re usually not the partying girl, but in order to get the plan going, Hoseok had asked Jimin if he could talk to Taehyung to know if it was cool for you guys to tag along. As soon as he heard back from Jimin, Hoseok texted you to let you know you guys were attending Taehyung’s party on Friday. Friday night arrived and even Namjoon was surprised that you were attending, especially with Hoseok - he didn’t question you, though, he seemed happy about it.

A guy you remember is called Seokjin waves at you when you make eye contact, and then points at both of you for the rest of the group to notice your arrival.

“I assume that is happening because Jimin and you are friends and for no other reason?” You whisper in Hoseok’s ear, feeling him loop an arm around your waist.

He grabs two red cups and fills them with an already prepared beverage that’s served in a pitcher. He takes a big sip out of it and turns to look at you.

“I hope so. I don’t think Jungkook mentioned anything to them or something like that. Anyways - here’s the plan: we need to be close enough so they can believe us, but keeping it real. No clingy shit. Some kisses will have to be taken, maybe sitting in my lap-.”

“Okay, you’re making this way too personal,” you joke, pointing at him with your index finger. Your next move catches him by surprise, though; you get close to his mouth and whisper, “Whatever you say, boyfriend.”

Before he can even react, you take your cup and step away from him, pointing at Jungkook’s group as if to say “I’ll be right there.”

The night is going as smoothly as you were expecting. Sure, nervousness sometimes got the best of you, but one look at Hoseok - who was as cool as a cucumber - and you’d go back to being yourself again.

Jungkook is being subtle, yet it’s almost too obvious he can’t get himself to stop staring at the two of you whenever you guys engage in some type of display of affection. His jaw is clenched and his gaze could burn a hole in Hoseok’s hair with all the hate he’s putting into it. You’re currently on the “dance-floor” - just the couches pushed back to give anyone enough space to dance - with your back against his front, and you look so happy.

No one is oblivious to the fact that he’s jealous. During the past hour, four girls have approached him and went back to their seats with a frown or a pout on their faces, since Jungkook is too busy keeping an eye on you to even want to hang out with them. Jin nudges his side with his elbow, making him grunt and look at Jin.

“What?” He barks, tapping his foot against the floor anxiously.

“You do know that staring at them like that is not going to fix shit for you, right?” Jin begins, taking a sip of his beer.

“He’s pissed off that he missed whatever chance he had with her because now she’s with Hobi.” Yoongi butts in, smirking at the youngest’s frown.

Jungkook has the perfect comeback in mind, his mouth is already opening, yet one look at the both of you shuts him up; you’ve turned around and Hoseok is leaning in to kiss you. You greedily accept his mouth on yours and continue dancing - grinding - onto him. He’s had enough of it, though the tipping point is when he watches the way you take Hoseok’s hand in yours and pull him to the stairs, making your way upstairs.

He turns to look at Namjoon, baffled as fuck, as if asking him to do something. The older one shrugs and carries on with his conversation with Jimin and some other girl. Jungkook takes a deep breath to calm himself down and gets up, heading to the bar to fix himself another drink.

You almost hit your head on the doorway with the way Hoseok is pulling you into the room. Both of you are a giggling mess right now - your heels are off, he is taking his and your drink and setting them on a desk located in the room to prevent any messes, quickly walking back to you.

He takes your ass in his hands and gives it a squeeze. “C’mon, jump.” He instructs and you follow, squealing in surprise at the strength he showcases. He walks to the bed and carefully lays you there, gaze suddenly turning soft.

“Y/N, listen… Before we do anything, I think we’re both sober enough to be here because we want to and not because of the plan with Jungkook. I want this, and if you don’t, I’ll completely understand,” he declares, hands coming to comb your hair now that it has become disheveled from your previous actions.

Warmth fills your chest. You knew, from the minute the idea popped in your head, that you wanted this. And you still do - his consideration only makes you feel more sure about your decision.

You pull the skirt of your dress to reveal more of your thighs, giving the man a reassuring smile. As you sit up and pull him close to you, he bends to be eye level with you and pecks your cheek, making your smile wider.

“I am sure. Thank you for asking me before getting into… this,” you smile, pulling him to lay on top of you.

You go straight for his neck, leaving wet, open-mouthed kisses on it. He grabs your thighs and locks them around his waist, reaching for his shirt and pulling it off his body. Nipping at the spot below his ear, Hoseok hisses and grabs your jaw carefully, turning your face to kiss you.

The kiss never comes, however, since someone opens the door and it slams against the wall, making both of you jolt. You pull your dress to cover your thighs; Hoseok is already cursing at the person who just bursted in without even knocking, and it takes a while for your brain to make the connection.

It’s Jungkook. Jungkook is the one who just interrupted your… whatever with Hoseok.

“Don’t yell at me for not knocking, you guys were the ones who were about to go at it with the door unlocked,” Jungkook points out, walking to the bed.

For starters, what the fuck is he doing here? He looks sober enough to know that this is not the bathroom. It’s like he’s determined to be interrupting you.

“What do you want?” You ask the tattooed boy, running your fingers through your hair to tame it down.

Hoseok puts his shirt back on. Now, he’s the one that could burn a hole through Jungkook's hair. The aforementioned man takes a while to answer your question, making you even more annoyed than you already feel.

You get up from the bed and grab your heels. As you’re almost done putting them on, Jungkook breaks the silence.

“I don't want him touching you. In fact, I don't want anyone else touching you if it’s not me.”

Is he out of his mind? What is he talking about?

Hoseok scoffs. He gives you a glance that shows he’s as confused as you are right now. Jungkook is known for his fuckboy persona and if it wasn’t for that, you’d almost believe he’s being possessive over someone he’s never had a taste of before.

“I like you, Y/N.” Jungkook breaks the silence at the lack of answers from either of you.

You lose your balance from how quickly your head snaps to look at him, fully in disbelief.

“Okay, I take that as my cue to leave. I am… gonna be downstairs, yeah.” Hoseok quickly declares as he rushes out of the room, closing the door on his way out.

Thanks for the help, you think to yourself. When you’re done with your other shoe, you stand up and walk up to him, searching for any sign that could tell you that he’s definitely joking, trying to annoy you - more than he already has - like he always does. But when he stays serious and doesn’t say anything, your gaze softens and you puff out a breath, reaching for his shoulder.

“Is this another one of your jokes to try and get to me? Because it’s not funny, Jeon,” you tell him, throwing your head back in exasperation.

There’s a… 60% chance he’s lying. Still, you can’t ignore the 40% left.

“I'm not joking, Y/N. I’m sorry I had to confess that in such an unmannered way, but I started to lose it from the moment you and Hoseok showed up together. I really wasn’t expecting you to be a thing. And then you’re both heading upstairs and,” he covers his face and takes a deep breath, taking a peek at you from behind his fingers, “I couldn't control myself. I had to say something before I totally ‘lost you’?” He squeaks out that last part, dropping his hands to his side.

Oh crap.

“Is this why you’ve been an annoying shit to me, especially since he and I started hanging out?”

This feels like that classic storyline where the boy is rude to the girl to get her attention. That doesn’t sound like Jeon Jungkook, at all.

“When you put it that way… yes, and I'm truly sorry for being an ass. I know the perspective you have of me right now isn’t the best.”

“Jungkook, I…” you move around the room, trying to become one with the mess in your head.

You don’t think he deserves being thrown around like trash just because of his reputation, yet you can’t bring yourself to just say “yes” to him like it’s no big deal.

“I can't just reject you as if i’m not willing to give this a try because it’s not like I’d never be interested in you, I just need some… time? To wrap my head around it and for you to prove it’s not something that will pass by.”

Jungkook sits down on the bed and you do the same, keeping a safe distance between the two of you. Eventually, both of you lie down and just indulge in each other’s company.

The silence is making you nervous. The fact that he’s still lying here with you makes you feel more calm, but you can’t help yourself and want an answer, to know that he doesn’t feel offended and that there may still be hope for the future. You shift to lay on your side and caress his arm, trying to get his attention.

“I'm sorry - what you said left me thinking. You’re right, the way I've been playing with girls isn’t appropriate for anyone. I'm not gonna give you that ‘I’m gonna change for you’ bullshit. But know that I’m not lying.” He shyly turns to you and opens his arms, inviting you to them.

You shift closer to him and let yourself be held by him, enjoying the warmth his body emits. You can still hear the music from downstairs, but you feel more at the peace here.

Of course, that only lasts for like a minute or two, because now it’s your brother who decides to interrupt your hug. The door is sent flying back to the wall again and Namjoon runs to where you are, grabbing a free pillow and hitting Jungkook with it.

Huh, how the tables have turned.

“Leave. My. Sister. Alone.” Namjoon enunciates with every hit, taking Jungkook's hands in one of his and hitting him with the pillow.

“Namjoon! What are you doing?” You yank the pillow out of Namjoon's grip and throw it across the room, frowning.

“You guys never came downstairs and Hoseok told me you were about to fuck! He’s not touching you!”

“Oh, because when it’s about me, you do care!” Jungkook retorts, grabbing your pillow when you get out of the bed and hitting Namjoon’s chest with it.

Yeah, now you get why Hoseok left the room. You sneakily do the same, closing the door silently.

A wide grin takes over your face at the thought of what is currently developing there. Your brother pillow fighting his best friend over you. Wow.

1. Xiaoyun is a good support for Xiao!

As you have said in an old post, you are a Xiao main and he has been sadly being underused (from what i see). Xiaoyun is to be said a good support for Xiao, so people will start using him more with Xiaoyun buffing him. So wouldnt you want your dear boy to have someone to give him good support? Xiaoyun is a good old friend of his and wouldnt you want to have Xiao have a friend fighthing by his side just like back when he was still with the other Five Yakshas when they were alive? Your Xiao would definitely like it (although he would probably be a bit of a tsuntsun at first)

2. Let Xiaoyun fight alongside her daughters! (Also her friends but were focusing on the family aspect first!)

While idk if you have Shenhe and Ganyu but wouldnt it be cute to have the adepti family together? Imagine Xiaoyun fighthing side by side with her daughters as they take down any foe that comes their way! With Shenhe buffing Ganyu and Xiaoyun buffing Xiao, the four of them would be unstoppable! Dont you want to have Xiaoyun see how much her daughters have grown stronger? I think she would be pretty proud of herself but that cant happen if you dont get her yk? Also lets not forget about Zhongli and Yaoyao! If Zhongli joins the team, im sure he will be reminded that he does have someone to share osmanthus wine with, even if everyone is not here. And dont you remember that Xiaoyun had taken such a liking to Yaoyao that she made Yuegui just for her, im sure Xiaoyun will be happy that Yuegui is working as intended!

3. The Mama Xiaoyun series

We all want this and you cant deny this, just like how Kaveh have his dad series, Xiaoyun will gonna have her mama series that you said will come when she is released. You also said you need to have her voicelines and such to understand her so wouldnt it be a perfect to get her to understand her character more? We need to see more cute mama Xiaoyun and [name] posts please! Also idk if im correct but im pretty sure Xiaoyun is a better parent than Arle (please dont kill me bc i havent played the Fontaine Archon Quest yet but from what i’ve seen, Arle is too sus of a parent that i just have mixed feelings about her)

xianyun would buff my team IN GENERAL and she can be built as a healer.... which means..... if i WANTED to...... i could remove kokomi (she's mainly only there to heal my xiao during his burst) and restructure my team entirely........ AND xianyun's healing is based off of her attack....... which means she can do DamageTM and heal simultaneously.......... and her healing follows the on field character...... oughgh. it's like xianyun was designed specifically to target ME *head in hands*

i don't acually have shenhe, ganyu, or zhongli haha. only yaoyao! i was going to pull for zhongli but i don't like shielders much. they would all be so cute together though you're right fr i won't deny that

no you're right LMAOOOO arlecchino is actually a very bad father. i just like to pretend she's not 😇 i believe she DOES genuinely care about her children, but she also grooms them into being blindly loyal to her and the house of the hearth family. So. yeahhh....... xianyun is DEFINITELY a better parent than she is........

(tbh i was probably always going to pull for xianyun. i can't even lie haha--i would see her banner and i would NOT be able to resist. she's just designed perfectly for my team and i love her character. there's no telling if i would actually like arlecchino's playstyle, even if she does become playable. i would probably still pull for her, but it helps when i like the playstyle AND the character.

I got two anons in regards to Zelda.

I'm going to answer them here to maintain spoilers. So spoilers below for Totk.

I'm of two minds about totk's story, personally. Keeping it vague for spoiler reasons, I think the twist with Zelda was a really cool idea, and the final boss was a really grand spectacle that made for a great finale. The new characters, Rauru and Sonia, were welcome additions too, but getting the memories out of order slightly ruins the impact, and I think the scenes in the past should have been playable instead. I love this take on Ganon, but I think his motives should have been explored more.

So, my own thoughts on your specific thoughts.

I personally found the dragon thing.... dumb. It doesn't feel like it belongs in a Zelda game. A friend of mine and I always discuss how much we hated it, haha. But I understand why others like it.

The human side of the final boss was great! The dragon was dumb. But that was because I found the entire dragon concept incredibly dumb.

Rauru and Sonia are.... fine. They aren't really anything special, imo. We don't really get to know them. They are just... nice. That's pretty much their only defining personality trait. I don't hate them or anything, I just don't find them anything special either.

This Ganon is.... meh. He's pretty stupid. He literally leaves Stones out in the open and doesn't take them for some reason. That's dumb villain behavior. His motivation is slightly more clear in the Japanese - He thinks peace makes people weak and he wants people strong. So... that's it, really. I just wish they gave him a Trident and not a samurai sword. Where is my Trident, Nintendo? That's literally his thing, you even had it in the OG teaser trailer! Character-wise, he's no more special than OoT Ganon, except OoT Ganon is actually given screen time to build a rivalry with Link. And was actually a more successful Ganon than this one.

To be frank, I found there to be very little to enjoy from this game's narrative. It's so sloppy, childish (note, I don't mean for a younger audience either, I mean it's like a 9 year old wrote it), and devoid of anything meaningful. The only thing I can recall truly loving was when Dragonroost Island theme kicked in during the Rito boss fight. And that made me tear up a little. And only because of WW, not because of BotW.

To be clear, I enjoyed my time with the game on the whole. But the only reason I plan to replay it is because I want to make a video explaining every microscopic detail as to why this game's story was poorly conceived.

In hindsight, I feel like Botw was to Zelda what FFXV was to Final Fantasy; games that changed the direction of their respective series for better or worse and given Aonuma's whole thing about the previous 3D zeldas being "restrictive", I think we're stuck with the botw/totk formula for a long time.

We are. I'm not exactly.... opposed to the open-world design. I just don't think they figured it out yet.

I know so many people think BotW and Totk are perfected open-world games. To me, a perfect open-world game doesn't look like what these two games gave me.

Here is what I want from the next Zelda game.

A narrative that adapts to the players actions, so the choices we make matter more

A smaller map but at least 8 dungeons. The dungeons should not require an entire sequence to enter, but can be wandered into when discovered. Imagine looking into the lake and seeing a temple! And then imagine swimming into the lake, and entering that temple for a new dungeon. Or, searching the forest and finding an ancient ruins buried deep within the leaves.

The smaller map should have more NPCs. I want real, large cities! Lendyell's, not the pathetic Rito village. I want Goron City to BE a city! Come on, Nintendo, make it happen!

Please do not make Princess Zelda a whiney baby this time, please. Or, in the case of Totk, an uninteresting Mary Sue.

Make horses actually good this time.

Stop forcing me to menu all the damn time.

No building! Lame! Stop it!

Can we make Link emote again, please? It's so embarrassing that the n64 Link has more personality than the latest Zelda game on better hardware.

I have more but this is what is on the top of my list.

Of course, I know I sound like a negative nilly. But I don't really hate the idea of these games like a lot of fans seem to do. I just can't love them yet because there are still too many issues.

I want to love the new format desperately. Totk, while a crappy story, actually gave me glimpses into greatness. I can see how the team tweaked it, tried to find a perfected formula in there. I can see them trying, and that gives me hope!

Like, if you were to give me a choice between Totk and Botw, and I can only play one of these for the rest of my life, I'm going with Totk. It's not a better story, but it's a better game. It doubled down on Botw's weaknesses, but I think that just comes with using BotW as a base. Maybe an entirely new game can finally do away with those weaknesses.

Hopefully, we won't wait 6 years to find out! Hopefully no more than 3? We know that they have already started the planning phase of the new game. And it possible that they started a year ago. Totk was finished over a year ago, and had a year of testing before release. Hopefully, they delegated, and had a small team begin the start of the new game.

Plus, no covid this time to slow them down!

The round table scene from the S3 finale where Merlin's at Arthur's right and Gwen's at his left and all of the knights give their reasons for fighting except Merlin who's like "actually I think you suck" and Arthur's like "you don't have a choice dumb shit" and then they smile at each other

Merlin and Gwen comparing who's hotter, Arthur or Lancelot, in S1 and you get Gwen's foreshadowing wham line of "I'll never to choose between them" or whatever it is

Hi hi! If the One Piece self ship rambling is open, I would love to throw my hat (haha straw hat) into the ring! I recently got into the show (and yes I am making my slow journey across 1000 episodes) and have been falling in love with it quickly. And uh… I may have fallen for a certain blonde pirate cook. As I like to put it. I am currently Sanji for Sanji haha! I just don’t know! The way he genuinely can be a kind and badass dude but also be hilarious has my heart. Not to mention, someone mentioned in the anime that he first fell for Nami upon seeing her being silly with her friends. Not prim and proper nor stellar. Just herself. And I just… I NEED THAT!

This led to me creating a sona for One Piece! Since I’m still working through the show, my sona lore (I tend to treat them like OCs but based off of me and my own growth throughout the years alongside other self indulgent stuff like “mmm… I’mma be a pirate”) is still up in the air. And I probably won’t talk about all the lore here since gosh it would probably be… way longer then I’d like to admit… I made a species for this (specifically an One Piece version of selkies cause I discovered One Piece did nothing with selkies yet and upon discovering Sanji had a thing for mermaids, my brain went “hmm… seal mermaids”), I just gosh I’ve been enjoying this show so much and creating this sona. So far she is a member of the Strawhat Pirates, having initially joined to get passage to her home island due to being kidnapped from it by pirates and being utterly lost only to find family in the crew and become their chronicler, recording their adventures alongside any important information they should keep in mind while sailing such as supplies and current plans. I think so far my favorite thing for planning her has been designing her cause I decided to have her face initially covered for backstory reasons so she looks intimidating only to be a crybaby failgirl who is quickly charmed by Sanji but is too nervous and caught off guard by these feelings to say anything cause expectation subversion. And I don’t know, I’m such a sucker for the trope where the hopeless flirt actually gets a win without knowing it cause the other person is struggling to convey it. And so I’m excited to explore the duo that is the “looks like she could kill you, is actually a cinnamon roll” mess and this malewife cook I adore who simp for each other

And yeah! Thanks for providing this opportunity and I hope you enjoyed the rambling! And consider me a follower of this blog since you seem epic!

Really listen to your partner, usually a breakup isn’t just one big event that’s happened but a lot of micro events that leave your partner feeling rejected

The importance of childhood trauma and attachment styles

I don’t believe in ‘falling’ in love but more like ‘growing’ in love. To me ‘falling’ sounds too fast and too uncontrolled. I think growing is more intentional, it’s slower. Aim for something that’s sustainable, not something that’ll fizzle out because it’s not built on good foundation.

Love as a choice and not as a feeling. Another way to say this is: feelings are not facts. What I mean by this is that you can feel anxious and stressed out in the relationship (ever heard of relationship anxiety? Well, now you have! And I have it LOL) but just bc you may feel negatively at times doesn’t mean there’s actually a reason for that. Sometimes (depending on your personal traumas) your nervous system will go into hyperdrive in order to help protect you from some perceived danger. You’ll start to try and find reasons to leave or to justify why you’re feeling a type of way. Feelings are not facts. Don’t self-sabotage. Take it from me, please.

How wonderfully scary yet beautiful it is to share your life and yourself with someone. I never wanted to marry or have kids growing up. But when you find the right person, suddenly all these things become more of an adventure and a challenge you’re willing to take because you feel supported in doing so. You feel like you’ll have someone to make the journey worthwhile. It’s a really beautiful feeling to change your mind/perspective like that.

To cherish every moment bc you never know if/when it’ll end

Love without holding back. If you love someone in this moment, on this day, show them. Let them know.

Small acts add up and become big, loving feelings.

The importance of having values and morals align. Interests aligning really helps too and makes things more fun imo haha. I think it’s because I’m kinda niche (? Does that make sense?) so there are specific things I like doing. My ex and I liked the same things so it was fun to go around and have someone to do them with. We never fought about how we would spend our very limited quality time. It was fun, it felt natural. But even with this being said…

Try out new things together because that puts both of you on a neutral playing field, no one is more ‘in control’ or has more ‘power’ when you do something new together. Plus, creating totally new memories with someone you love is just super lovely!!

It’s really important to respect who your partner is at their CORE, not just who they are as a partner towards YOU. Does this make sense? In the same way, they must also respect you at YOUR core and who you are as a HUMAN FIRST.

Tbh... it’s so much easier when your circle (friends + family) like your partner. I know you can’t always find this.. but honestly… it’ll take away so much unnecessary drama and stress. Get the opinions of the people you hold closest to you. Try not to find someone who everyone dislikes lol it’s not cool (or worth it) to rebel (I say this bc I used to think it was cool LOL but hopefully you guys are smarter than me hehe).

Fighting hard (and even often) isn’t necessarily a bad sign or a sign the relationship needs to end. I think of a relationship as two people trying to fight their inner demons, but together. Get through the fights. Learn what works and what doesn’t. Learn how to communicate through them. Learn if it’s best to solve things RIGHT NOW or to give your partner space and revisit the topic later. Learn what triggers them, learn what triggers you. Not to sound like a weirdo, but I personally like fighting with my partner. I want to see them in ‘every season’ of their being. I want to see what they’re like when they’re REALLY mad. Are they rude? Do they make me feel small? Do they stonewall me? Would they call me names? These are things that are scary but you need to see. Fighting styles are always evolving the more that you fight. You CAN fight productively and soon your ‘fights,’ which would fill you with dread and exhaust you, are now serious conversations that you can manage. Remember, winning isn’t the goal. Coming back to that person and showing them that you love and care for them are. (Honestly I can go on and on about fighting/communicating. These were actually 2/3 reasons my ex broke up with me- granted… he didn’t have the patience nor determination to figure things out with me. But it’s a long and convoluted story).

You will make mistakes. You will hurt the person you love. On days, you will even dislike them and they will dislike you. That’s okay. If they’re worth it, keep choosing them and be gracious to yourself.

When you go through hard times, both your and their character will come out. One of the reasons why I am so upset and saddened by my ex leaving me is because he was so good to me in the beginning when things were easy (no fights, everyone got along, all the people in our circle also got along, my family liked him, his family liked me, etc.) but when things got tough, and we had a rough season of a lot of fighting and pent up resentment (on his end, bc he didn’t communicate a lot of how he was feeling towards me), he up and left rather than stay to try and figure things out. Even though he had proclaimed how much he loved me all the time, would say how he’s going to marry me, how he felt ‘so good’ about this relationship and could see it ‘going all the way,’ would pretend to get on one knee and propose to me bc he was ‘practicing’ … all those things fell through the cracks when things got hard. Was he a good boyfriend? Yes- but in the beginning. Could he endure what an actual relationship takes when things get hard and rough between us? No. Real love stays to mend, it doesn’t leave when things get dark. (I am going to brag about myself rn bc I feel that it’s deserved): What did I learn about myself when things got hard? That I’m someone who stays by the person I love. I’m someone who loves hard and true. I love tenaciously. If I say I love you and I want things to work, I’ll do the work. I’ll stay. I’ll fight the fight. I’ll love you the way you are RIGHT NOW, NOT who I hope you’ll be in the future. Relationships are NOT easy , tbh I think being in a relationship is the hardest thing I’ve ever done (and I’m not being dramatic!) but it’s one of the most rewarding and beautiful things you can do. Remember, nothing worthwhile in life comes easy. I feel proud knowing that I didn’t give up and that I gave it my all, even when things got messy. Even when my ex was breaking up with me. I was sobbing and he was extremely emotionally charged, rather than worry about myself I tried to give him water to calm him down, I asked if he wanted to take a 5 minute break from the conversation so he could cool off, I kept asking if he was okay even tho I was the one clearly breaking down. I put him first even when I was hurting- bad. Looking back at how lovingly I acted not only in that situation, but in many where things were going poorly, I know I’m someone I can be proud of that would leave others in awe if they saw how I acted in times of great distress. I wouldn’t have known this about myself had I not been in a relationship.

Give up your ego. There's no worth in keeping it. You'll hurt the person you love. In the same way, try not to be with someone who won’t give theirs up. It’ll just be hard for you, trust me.

Being vulnerable is scary, but it’s worth it. The right person will accept all your flaws and the story that has made you who you currently are today- warts and all.

Even if a relationship ends, there is only one you - and that is your superpower.

It wasn’t often that Zora sat down in a tavern for a drink, because sitting there, for all to see, didn’t really suit him. He could practically feel the eyes turning to him, whispering about him.

Not that he really cared. As long as people kept to themselves.

He had no qualms about stepping in on those ‘magic knights’, as they called themselves, harassing and tormenting regular people, if there was a need. But when it came to him, just minding his own business, and enjoying a drink for himself, only for someone to decided that his mere presence was a problem? That, is what he had a problem with.

But. It was a slow afternoon, and the village was relatively small, so he was able to sit by himself on the terrace of a tavern while sipping his drink.

People were walking by, going about their chores, and he let his eyes, along with the train of his thoughts, wander free. There wasn’t anything specific to think, or worry, not at that moment at least. So, it wasn’t a bad day. Though it wasn’t a particularly good day either. It was just a day.

The cold drink was nice though, on such a warm day; it was almost summer.

“Didn’t know you were here too,” spoke a familiar voice, almost as if a scoff, but more of an observation.

Zora glanced to his side, onto the other side of the terrace railing, seeing Gauche there with a bag full of toys.

“On a shopping spree for Marie?” He asked, turning his eyes straight ahead.

“There’s hardly anything new for her,” Gauche remarked. A simple as that.

A moment of silence fell into the air, where neither really knew what to say. If they had been at the base there would have been no need to say anything further. But now, there, in the village, it almost seemed like there was a need to do so.

“Want a beer?” Zora asked, lifting his bottle with another side glance to Gauche.

Gauche replied with a glance of his own, thinking if he should take on the offer. They weren’t exactly buddies, but they’d be in the village for some time longer, and… of he was honest, his feet were aching from all the walking he had done.

And besides, they sat around the same table at the base constantly. That didn’t make them friends, so… there was no reason why this would either.

“Sure,” he replied with his usual, low, monotone voice, before circling around and leaving his bag next to Zora as he got himself a drink as well.

Clouds floated by in the air as just the usual sounds of a quiet street lingered around. The chatter of passer-by’s, the sound of steps, of wind, of carts. Until there was the sound of someone running.

Zora lifted his eyes to see Magna sprinting past the tavern.

Not interesting.

Gauche sat down, placing his bottle onto the table and leaning back in his chair.

There was a sound of more running steps and laughter.

Luck ran past them.

“What are those idiots up to now?” Gauche asked, not needing an answer.

“What are they usually up to?” Zora replied with a rhetorical question of his own.

Noelle ran past them.

They both quirked an eyebrow.

“Noelle doesn’t usually run after them,” Gauche commented.

“That’s because royalty doesn’t run, and certainly doesn’t run after anyone,” Zora said with sarcasm seeping through his tone.

“WAIT FOR ME!” Asta ran past them.

Zora and Gauche turned to look where they were going, and stayed silent for a while. It seemed as if all onlookers were also staring towards the same direction with questioning frowns, wondering what was going on. But for Zora and Gauche, instead of wondering what was going on, they both had a brief thought passing through their minds; the thought of, if it would be better to walk away as if nothing had happened, or was this one of those instances where the numbskulls couldn’t deal with it by themselves.

But. As if by some shared decision they didn’t voice, they took a sip of their drinks, and decided that it wasn’t worth getting involved. After all, chances were that it wasn’t anything more than just mischief. Of some kind.

“What time did Finral say to meet up again?” Gauche wondered out loud, looking ahead of himself.

“Around five.”

“You think they’ll get manage until then?”

Zora took another sip with a thoughtful hum.

“Oy! Come back here!” There was another voice, this time that of Yami, who was marching through the street. The air around him was thick with his mana flaring up around him, the ground cracking under his feet. His eyes were fixed in front of him, as if trying to lock on a target.

Until they landed on Zora and Gauche.

“That way,” Zora nodded his head, gesturing towards the direction the rest had been running to, which was received with a nod and followed by Yami continuing his way forward.

Whatever the rest had done, seemed to be between them and Yami. And it was going to get settled sooner, or later. Better sooner, than later, for the rest of the Bulls, because Yami was a… good captain for them. But he also called the shots, and put a roof over their heads. It wasn’t good to keep him mad.

“No,” Zora continued, after Yami had disappeared from sight.

“No what?” Gauche asked, tilting his head up and looking at the clouds float by.

“They won’t manage until five,” Zora replied.

It was a strange moment for them both. They rarely talked. Anywhere. And they certainly weren’t talking a lot now either. But there was a strange sensation of calm; like neither needed to explain anything. Things just were. The Bulls were, for the most part, the family they both knew.

Of course, Gauche still had Marie to look after, which was more than Zora did, but… It wouldn’t have been quiet as good with just him and Marie. There was more… security, with this. This felt more like a family, even if he would never admit it out loud.

But even with all of the Bulls… Gauche couldn’t just sit like this, and not say a word. At least not without it feeling awkward on some level. Not all of them would understand the loneliness, the pressure, the spite to get back at the world. The wish to protect… for Gauche it was Marie and for Zora it was his father’s ideals; and the need, the almost need, to do so alone. Because it was theirs to protect.

It was a very strange sensation; a strange moment.

“No, they won’t,” Gauche agreed, downing his drink.

That was when he could have gotten up and left. His feet weren’t tired anymore, but… he didn’t mind having another drink.

I'm recently trying to catch on to your analysis posts. They're truly great! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. I remember you once (or maybe even more than once) went specifically into details about the reason why didn't become a diplomatic ambassador post-war aside from the reason he was no longer capable of fighting like before, where some ppl did expect him to at least monitor the 104th + Reiner + Pieck as an adult leader of peace. Do you see any fault in this? Like some kind of disregard on Levi's part towards what would the world become or how far the peace would go from then on? Of course, this is absolutely not what I believe. He deserves peace and a normal life after everything he went through, but I've sure seen some part of the fandom being disappointed that he was no longer participating in the group as a representative and that's why they ended up saying "he only fought in the battle of heaven and earth to rid the world of titans for the promise he'd made to his fallen comrades, ot anything else." Or shit like "he never dedicated his heart to humanity". I feel even disgusted by repeating their words bcz these ppl are either just too blind or narrow-minded to understand Levi. Anyways, this turned into a long ask, but please know that I'm only asking cuz I'm really interested in what you think about it all. Thanks in advance and sorry for the long ass ask!

Anyway, yes, I've answered this question before. It's absurd to criticize Levi for this. What do people expect from him exactly? He literally lost EVERYTHING fighting for humanity, including his body. He lost all of his friends, everyone he ever truly loved and was close to, and by the end, I don't know if these people need to be reminded, but the last panel we see of Levi, he's in a wheelchair. He broke his whole body , fighting for humanity. To ask anything more of him, or to criticize him and somehow accuse him of not caring, or having never cared about humanity because he decided to finally retire after giving everything to the Survey Corps' dream strikes me as both sickeningly cruel, almost sociopathic in its cruelty, and also supremely ignorant. That’s like telling a soldier who comes back crippled from fighting in a war that they didn’t do enough, and they now need to join a diplomatic council and try to work out peace with the nation he was just fighting against. Absurd and disgusting. What these people don't understand is that Levi fought to free humanity, to create a better world for the next generation, meaning Armin, Mikasa, Connie, Jean, all of them, and that's exactly what he did. He gave everything he had to give them that fresh start, and what they did with it from there on was their choice, was up to them. He no longer had a part to play in that going forward. It was their world now, and Levi earned his rest a thousand times over.

What's more, just from the standpoint of accessing what Levi might bring to the table in a negotiation or peace talks, compared to Armin, there's really not much else Levi could have done. Levi is famously bad at expressing himself in words, while Armin has a mind like a steel trap when it comes to knowing how to talk to people and negotiate with them. That's literally the role he was always cast in from the beginning. The negotiator. Saying the 104th needed Levi at that point to act as the "adult" in the room is absurd, and is nothing but another attempt on the haters part to tear him down. These people are deluded and pathetic. The 104th were all adults by that time. 19 when the war ended, 22 by the end of the story, all of them extremely experienced. They were all more than capable of taking care of business themselves.

Levi isn't a negotiator. He always saw himself and was treated within the military like a weapon. A tool to be used to fight the enemy, whoever or whatever that might be, towards the noble goal of a better world, able and willing to do the dirty work required to create peace and freedom. Levi was built for fighting, not for talking. Once the fighting was over, he'd served his purpose, and that was that.

I just feel attacked from all sides hahahaha Maybe the pressure on them to be 'perfect' is even worse than with the boys so they don't feel as genuine... idk... I would LOVE to have acting classes and learn to dance and play an instrument too (piano would be my choice) and I feel like the group of people I would meet in these environments would be incredible, but right now I just moved on my own to a new country so money is kinda short hahaha But I keep an eye out for that and I learned that is never too late to start anything

There was not much celebration per se on my birthday haha I knew my friends would all be working, so I booked a little solo trip and got to meet a new town nearby a had heard lots about... And people were definitely right, I loved the place and had an Amazing time!! One day before my birthday I managed to secure tickets to see Ateez in Madrid which I still cant believe!!! It will be my first big scale concert ever and I also gave myself a ticket to watch the ballet "Giselle" next week, so yeah, a pretty great birthday week/month hahah I'm an ambivert with great people skills and I love my friends, but I LOVE my time alone as well, you know? 😅

When DK comes out fucking SWINGING?!?!?! I’m manifesting you getting to sing with him, he’s an S-tier fave, we love boys with big ass voices. I used to adore girl groups, but now they’re all so young that I can’t get into them. I remember being on stage as a teenager and 😬 So I still listen to all my 2nd gen nostalgia songs and follow the women in their 30s and 40s instead – when Kara sang “Step” at MAMA I might have teared up just a little. But none of these new girlies could do Hyolyn’s “Laying Low” so I’m fine. Anyway, if you like older girl groups (both have been performing longer and the members aren’t 17), check out EXID, they’re my favorite girl group – “Fire” wasn’t great, but they are, and I missed Solji so much.

It was SUCH a good film pitch. It’s about a bunch of skateboarders terrorized by a monster but they’ve all smoked too much and are too paranoid to figure out what’s going on, which is such a funny concept. I can’t skateboard but that’s fine cause the skateboarders can’t act.

Dude, it’s been so great taking classes again. I’m not any good at Meisner technique (my teacher yelled at me frequently, all of which was very deserved, and I respond better in the arts to brutal honesty and tough love, so my monologues are peak now) but it was amazing to get back into that space with such interesting people. There were some who were so annoying, but that’s the risk and it’s worth it imo. And you’re so right that it’s never too late to try, the secret is that there are fewer interesting roles for younger actors than older actors, and so you’re always growing into something better, even just good scripts to read in a class.

They’re, what, 185-ish? I’m 180, we’re sooooo normal. My fatal flaw is that I immediately assume the tallest male idol on stage is my dad’s height (196) and then when I find out they’re 180-185-ish I’m like oh so they’re normal! Normal height! It’s not our fault these other boys decided to stop growing! (Actually tho – my cousin was so mad when she moved to America for college and all her classmates weren’t at least 190. She scolded her dad for being 195 and skewing her expectations for American men, since he was the only American in their small town. If we point out that Japanese men also aren’t known for being 190, she says at least she wasn’t lied to.)

I work for the food and beverage department of a museum. I do the boring back-end invoice tracking, but when I’m on-site during the parties it’s wild. When parties are booked at the museum there’s a specific vibe – expensive and extravagant and ridiculous and a little bit tastefully tacky – and so it’s always just fun. The last one had a whole crew of dancers dressed as Lichtenstein paintings, in big dresses, bigger wigs, and stylized halftone makeup. A couple months ago was a sneaker ball, where people wore eveningwear and (WayV voice) thousand dollar shoes

I’m going to the Vatican! My dad’s there like yeah lmao you don’t have to come but his partner (deeply Catholic) is spiritually twisting my ear like “you witnessed a miracle, your father got out of a wheelchair, you are GOING.” I’m not meeting the Pope, but I get to watch my dad meet him, which I’m relieved about since I’m not Christian lmao.
