author's note: i ask that you be patient with me when it comes to posting and requests. i'm going through a difficult time, but i'll try to stay active. good read, kisses<3

NIKKI SIXX (bassist): “we get closer after that, but no one knew that except us. only when vince and mick had already returned home, and tommy had gone out to buy something for us to drink or use, or even when he passed out drunk on the couch. those were the only moments i talked to her properly."

nikki sat next to you, the wave of cold coming from the floor of the porch step passing through his body. the wind that beat against you was light, but freezing. He looked at you in a mixture of surprise and confusion, staring at your shoulders covered only by the thin strap of your tank top and how his body didn't shiver even an inch from the cold.

"— looks like you're going to sleep here, kitten”

you quickly turned back to see your brother sprawled out on the couch, laughing at the thought that with a little push he could fall to the ground.

“— what did he take?" — you asked.

“— i don't know, but i think i want to take it too.”

you both laughed softly before silence fell over you. not that you minded, you just took another drag of your cigarette and continued looking at the empty street in front of nikki's porch. with him, it was different. not that he generally cared what people thought of him, but he wanted you to like him, not only as the bass player in your brother's garage band, so every time it was just the two of you, he approached and tried to get your attention. you two talked a lot about music, even if your favorite artists didn't look much alike, he discovered that you were an eclectic person, that was a little into the heavy and hard rock after spending nights discovering bands with your brother.

he would never admit that a lot of what you said in these conversations may have influenced just a little what he wanted to do with the band, but he thought that even if you were a girl, you knew what you were talking about. he also left some flirtations in the middle of conversations, which you laughed and ignored, taking as a joke.

but when nikki sees you like this, cigarette between your lips, green and yellow street lights illuminating your skin and no trace of you going to continue the conversation on your face, he feels pressured. pressured to do it himself. because, besides the fact that he simply wants some validation from you, he thinks he can't bear to keep staring at you like that, even though it's a pleasant sight.

“— so... it's a good name, right? ‘mötley crüe’..” — he started, trying to bring up a random topic. in this case, the name of the band, which had been decided today.

“— it's fucking good. i've never seen a name like that before. mick is definitely a being of light sent to guide you, because i swear i would never let my brother play in a band called christmas.” — you laughed, remembering the stupid name Nikki had considered earlier.

“— it wasn’t ‘christmas’. and it was a social critique, lee!” — he said defensively.

“— it's still pretty bad, cutie.” — you smiled when you saw him chuckling with the nickname. “— but seriously, it's original. no way of a band ‘mötley crüe’ not be successful. the syllables sound like fame. m-o-t-l-e-y-c-r-u-e. see it?”

he knew it was a joke, but he saw sense in what you said. he thought it was cute how you believed in the band. you went with them to look for vince, you watched all the rehearsals and sometimes nikki even let you take a look at the lyrics and give some suggestions for the songs. you were actually following them like a fifth member of the band, and he knew it was because of tommy. the first thing he noticed, you would do anything for your brother, but you would never admit it.

“— really, you're pretty good. the only thing i would change is the vocalist whore girlfriend-”

nikki held back a hysterical laugh. he didn't totally hate vince's girlfriend. of course, she was petty and liked to spend her time putting the rest of the band down to highlight vince, but damn, she was hot. unlike you, who hated her with all your strength. you've lost count of how many times you've held yourself back from hitting her in the face, but you know it was a lot. usually, when vince brought her to watch rehearsals, you hid in the kitchen and drank while listening to the muffled music. well, you had a mutual hatred.

“— ah, she's not that bad-”

“— she literally tried to fuck tommy last week!”

“— wow, he's a lucky man.." — he laughed as your hand hit his shoulder, scolding him.

“— god, men are so desperate” — you sighed as you threw your cigarette on the floor before squeezing it under your shoe, putting it out.

“— you will really deny she's pretty?”

you blushed at the question. “— you are really saying you wanna fuck the daddy's girl who says you're not good enough for her boyfriend, who is literally on the same page as you?”

“— jealous, kitten?” — he asked you with a mischievous smile.

you rolled your eyes. “— for the guy who would even fuck a mannequin as long as it had a pair of legs?” — you said as you stood up and walked to the kitchen. nikki passed the room before following you, taking something from his backpack.

when he caught up with you in the kitchen, you were mixing vodka with liquor, two things he had no idea were in his fridge. you noticed he kept both hands suspiciously behind his back as he waited for you to finish your drink.

you drop the two bottles on the table and bring the glass to your lips, swallowing the bitter taste of alcohol with ease.

“— what you got there?”

he laughed and walked to the table, facing you. he leaves a small package on the table and looks at you smiling.

“— for you, gold dust woman.” — you rolled your eyes at the nickname (that you didn't understand, but he didn't interfere, because besides being a good song, you knew that asking him to stop would only lead nikki to call you that as if it were your name) and offered him the glass. he took a sip as he watched you unwrap the wrapping.

you ran your fingers over the plastic, automatically recognizing the cd titles just by the covers. you smiled, wondering why nikki sixx, of all people, would be giving this to you. you quickly realized that he was probably sticking to what you said in your conversations, or it was too much of a coincidence that he chose your two favorite albums. you looked at him with a smug smile on your face.

“— you bought this for me, bassist?”

yes, he did.

“— no.” — he answered quickly. “— my...huh...i went to a friend's house and he said he would donate some things. i brought these for you. it's your favorites, right?”

you thought it was cute how he bothered to lie even when the cds looked untouched for how new they were and had the store sticker on the back.

“— yes, they are.” — you smiled genuinely. It took you a while to consider nikki a nice guy. at first, you thought he was nothing but talented and desperate for a job. after a few early mornings like this, you liked him. not like tommy, who sometimes acted like he was a god, but definitely liked him.

you soon understood why you allowed yourself to get closer to him. he was the first person who seemed to care. you didn't loved music because your brother was into it, and he was the first one who noticed it. he was the first to hear you monologuing about records and artists and didn't take it as some passing interest.

you felt your back hit the soft mattress, automatically relaxing onto the bed . nikki, who carried you bridal style to the bed, dropped your gift on the side dresser and looked at you again.

“— comfortable, kitten? want another pillow?”

“— noo...ah, this bed feels like heaven.” — you moaned at the pleasure of your muscles relaxing as you stretched out on the bed, truly looking like a kitten.

your drunken voice was obvious. you drank that entire glass while babbling random things to nikki, hearing him agree with everything while laughing. he thought you had enough after you almost fell over while hugging him, thanking him for the gift for probably the fifth time that night

he nodded and turned, showing that he was going to leave the room. that's when he felt your hand grab his wrist, feeling your long nails gently scratching the spot. you pulled lightly, making him involuntarily take a step closer to the bed.

“— where are you going?” — you whined.

“— to sleep. i’ll stay on the couch with tommy.” — he smirked and tried to move away again, being stopped by an even stronger pull on his wrist, this time making him fall on the bed.

“— tommy is like, aaaaaall sprawled out on the couch, you'll never be able to squeeze in there with him.” — you said slurred, struggling to keep your eyes open.

“— is this your excuse for not saying you want me to sleep with you, princess?” — he said while stroking his own shoulder that had hit the bed too hard.

you laughed and blushed. i mean, nikki is pretty sure he saw you blush. his cheeks already had a pinker tone than normal because of the drink, but he's sure it got a little stronger.

he wished he had gotten closer. he could only faintly smell the drink. he wished he could smell you. he wished he had run his fingers through the curves in the length of your hair. he wanted to touch his lips to your face. he didn't understand why, but in that moment, the first time he felt comfortable with the silence between you, he wanted to touch you.

but he didn't.

he watched the way you slowly accepted the sleep. his eyes closing as he listened to your murmurs getting quieter and quieter. you were even more beautiful when you slept. he’s never seen you so relaxed before. is angelic, delicate, untouchable.

and when he thinks he's falling asleep, sad because he'll only be able to see you when he wakes up, it's you he dreams of.

Gotta be honest, Something to Believe In makes me so irrationally angry. Their whole relationship feels forced and only there for the romance grab :)

I feel like they could've done a lot with Kath's character without making her fall for Jack

Like it makes sense that Jack would feel things for her. She represents this freedom he's never gotten to have. She helped get the newsies a better hand in life. Granted it isn't perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better. Not to mention all the newsies have the emotional range of a speck of dust.

Kath, on the other hand, seems very in tune with her emotions. She knows how she feels about Jack during Watch What Happens, and I personally don't think much changed between them between that and StBI.

I think it would've been far better to have Jack, this emotionally ignorant artist pining after Kath, the 'sure of herself' journalist helping make a better life for his family, despite the repercussions of going against her father, who was originally in it just to further her career but has grown to care for and love all of these kids.

Have I mentioned the projections?

I also haven't mentioned this at all, but I love the newsies that push in Jack's 'penthouse' and just sit at the bottom of the set pieces.

3 - 3 films you could watch for the rest of your life and not get bored of? OOOOkay! Interstellar, Titanic, and Your Name (although other equally strong contenders are the Avatar movies (james cameron), any Ghibli movie, and The Martian, which I remember you love too T^T Yay common movie!)

7 - what scares you the most and why? Forgetting. More than being forgotten, which doesn't really bother me, it's forgetting. Even if a portion of my life has been dark or bleak, there's been a lot of nice things to appreciate even then; I try to write it all down in a journal every day. I think life's value is really all the moments and memories that fill up over time; I'm scared of a day coming when I don't remember all the lovely things I've encountered in my life.

5 - what made you start your blog? Ahh... I've honestly been here a long time xD Since late 2013 or early 2014, I don't remember very well, but O L D. At first I just started one to post my graphic designing pieces, but then stayed for the fandom culture and very specific humour which made me feel at home. I've left now and then, but I've always come back.

12 - what’s some good advice you want to share? This is tricky, because I give myself advice, and don't follow it #_# But something that has helped me a lot is to see only the present moment as truly valuable, and to soak in every bit of that, in touch, taste, smell and seeing. That way you've lived that minute or that hour, fully, and even if you don't get to live the next, you can find some peace. Why I say it helped me is because I always fret about the future, about whether this or that will happen, etc, and this shut up all those unwanted anxieties. 'Now' matters. Tomorrow will come, but I'll deal with it when it comes.

14 - what’s something you’ve always wanted to do but maybe been to scared to do? I think... to live more spontaneously? XD I'm a planned/organized person, I need to see things on an agenda to breathe easy lmao. I envy people who can just live everyday spontaneously as it comes, without a care in the world.

20 - favourite things about the night? EVERYTHING!!!!! ALL OF IT!!!!! I love most the drop in temperature, the silence, the occasional owls and bats, and also the lights in the distance. I live in a suburb, and while the immediate vicinity isn't bustling with noise and is mostly covered with trees and wildnerness, I can see the city in the distance. I like watching the pinpricks of moving vehicles, and wondering where they're going and to whom. The best thing of course, is the night sky. I spend inordinate amounts of time studying the stars and constellations haha xD Still don't have a telescope to see Jupiter's moons, but! one day! soon!

31 - are you messy or organised? V E R Y organized. Though in times of stress, it devolves into organized chaos, but still organized. My phase of using colour coded memo pads and cute stationery has long gone (tho I still love cute stationery T^T), so I just keep things simple now. A list. Ticked off. Etc.

35 - do you trust easily? Yeah. I shouldn't, given some stupid shit that happened some years back, but I still do xD I like to believe people are good (which is strange considering I hate human interaction, but then I suppose it applies to people I form bonds with, like you!)

So as a totally random post I finally feel comfortable/confident in saying that I'm most likely at least A e g o s e x u a l and I currently feel like L i t h r o m a n t i c covers my feelings on romance

And in my queer moment of "It all makes sense now" I actually understand why when I first got into fanfiction and fanfiction-adjacent content why I made OCs to ship with characters I liked

And also why when it came to reading fanfiction I never was able to actually visualize myself as the "Reader" insert. I would always read the (Y/n) [Your name] ect as LITERALLY being "Your name walked/did/said" sure the eye color, skin color and hair color i might mentally match to myself

But like

Hear me out

Depending on the personality the "Reader" character would have even those superficial details would change in my head to fit the personality.

And even when I used to write Insert Readers I always viewed the "Reader" as an actual character that fit the character I was simping for

ALSO THIS FREAKING EXPLAINS WHY WITH ONE CHARACTER there was a vicious drought of content so I broke down and read a OC/cannon and guess what? Aside from the writing being better than the average "written by a teenager" garbage I was accustomed to I just REALLY enjoyed it because it wasn't another "Reader" but a genuinely fleshed out character

So like... I used to write Insert Readers and then started drifting back to OCs. And now with the fanfiction I've been writing all did one "Reader" character in a non-romantic fic and I think I was halfway through it when I realized "i don't like reader characters" and I was so confused but I finished it because damnit I liked that fic (never again, not even for non-romance. There's just going to be an "Alex" for every situation now) As far as reading Insert Readers i just do the same thing I used to- I don't REALLY envision myself there, I don't even try and guess guess what? I enjoy them even more now!

Heck I used to L O V E shipping fics the best! I still do! And this just EXPLAINS everything for me! At least with fanfiction

So am I mourning that I'll probably not have a "typical" relationship if any?

Well kinda. It is a little saddening to think I'll probably be alone since I'd always be told "Maybe one day you'll find someone to be your partner like us" my parents always referring to one another as a team, but at the same time I'd already crossed this bridge before when I first believed I was possibly Demi-sexual, then gray-sexual- and I doubted that anyone I'd meet would tolerate a spiceless romance

Besides, I realize barely have the energy and desire for maintain friendships let alone a romantic one!

I'm up for a queer platonic relationship, just... No smooches or romance. Only fanfiction and garlic bread in this house ZD

And I noticed the majority of this post is focused on my Ace status

Welp, the romantic thing is just... Idk a work friend just moved out of her plumb full family home and into an apartment and no more than a week had passed before she got a boyfriend. I don't know or care if they're doing any funny business (i don't ever want to know either), but just the idea that he's spending the night at her apartment- because she told me that's happening- and theb that they've seen each other EVERYDAY since they made themselves an official couple- I cringe. It's insane. I cannot fathom it and yet it's... Normal for people to start dating a month or two after MEETING each other? Sleeping together on the third date (haha, old fashioned and such a lie I don't believe anymore 😐)?

Maybe I am just old fashioned but... Fuck I don't even feel comfortable letting a "damn" slip from my mouth until I've interacted with another human being for a month.

That's why I like my fanfiction and Roman novels. I'll buy the speed dating there, but no in real life.

In other news- I've set a personal commitment to myself to keep writing layered romances and queer platonic relationships (I don't think I've written the ladder but I intend to goshdarnit) both in my fanfiction and in my novels! I don't care how I have to present it to a publisher I'll eventually take the to to go "Oh! This is an ace romance, this person is actually Aromantic, ect"

I want more awareness of Ace and Aro spectrum individuals! You are all valid! You are not broken! You are human and have a right to not be pressured to conform to the expectations placed on you. And just because your on the spectrum and maybe feel a desire for romance or intimacy, that doesn't means you're not stil Aro or Ace, it's a spectrum after all. I know what a crush feels like, but I don't want the feelings reciprocated. That doesn't invalidate me from being on the Aromantic spectrum though.

How many fics have you written?

When did you publish your first fic on AO3?

I started posting All the Songs I Sing Are About You on 12/20/2019. It’s a retelling of one of my favorite romcoms, Music & Lyrics. It was part of a fest, and the first fic I’d ever written. I had no idea what I was doing. Hitting “post” that first time was t e r r i f y i n g, but I got so many lovely comments from people who really seemed to like it, and that was it—I was hooked, sucked into this writing life that is amazing (and sometimes awful) and which has brought me friends I treasure. Someone who especially loved that story, vivianblakesunrisebay, ended up becoming my beta and good friend.

Describe your writing process from “Oh, I have an idea” to pushing publish on AO3.

Process? I don’t know her.

Fine.

It’s something like this:

a) Have a shiny idea that excites me.

b) Flail and yell about the idea a lot to whomever will listen.

c) Realize I have to actually write something to make it happen and whine about that

d) Write

e) Complain

f) Repeat steps d and e until everyone in my friend group is borderline ready to kick me out of the club.

g) DM Houdini and whine more

h) Complain and Write

i) Repeat g and h until Houdini regrets everything

j) Fling it at Houdini and Viv for beta

k) Repeat prior steps as necessary until *I* am so sick of it all that I want to post it just to be done with it.

l) Realize summaries and tags are a thing and whine about that

m) Post and promptly realize I forgot or messed up a dozen things and go back in to fix them.

BONUS STEPS

n) Worry that what I wrote sucks spectacularly and no one is telling me.

o) Refresh and worry that I messed up posting somehow.

p) Repeat steps n and o until I remember/re-convince myself that it doesn’t matter if anyone else likes it because I did the thing and should be proud I finished it.

Tell me about your most recent fic? What do you love about it? Is there anything you think you could have done better?

My most recently posted fic is Nothing About This Was Proper. It’s a fic I started a while ago that ended up fitting a little collection I did with some friends. If that collection hadn’t come along to motivate me, the story would probably still be languishing in my WIPS folder. I’m terrible at talking about what I like about my own fics (hello, imposter syndrome is so real). I guess I like my set-up in that one—the whole thing with the dog being the catalyst (ultimately) for David & Patrick getting together, and the banter in the car (David’s position that the dog is trying to “assault” him). As for what I could have done better, I would’ve liked to tie up some of the loose ends (e.g., whose house were they in and those folks coming home to find them), but the fic was already getting long and the deadline was looming so I focused on getting the boys together.

What advice would you give to someone who’s thinking about publishing their fic for the first time?

This question assumes you’ve written the fic already, which is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations! You’ve agonized over making it the best you can, no doubt spending time and energy and likely putting a bit of your heart in it. Finishing a story is hard work—as opposed to starting a story, which is usually easy and fun, in my experience. You should absolutely publish that story and give folks the chance to enjoy it. Make sure you also take some time to be proud of yourself. You did the thing! You saw it through from start to finish! That’s huge!

Weirdest thing you’ve googled as research for a story?

Heh. When I was writing the bathhouse fic (Thank God. It’s You) I did a lot of googling that was, shall we say, enlightening? I forgot to use a private browser half the time, too, so my ads got real interesting.

How has writing fic changed you?

Writing fic has brought me friendships that have changed me for the better and a hobby I (usually) love and a new life goal of publishing a novel. I think it probably had an extremely beneficial impact on my mental health during the pandemic as well.

Most memorable comment you’ve had on one of your fics?

Oh, gosh. This one is really hard to answer. I can’t think of a specific one. My pal weathereyehorizon’s comments regularly make me feel like I could slay dragons and I love her for them. Overall, the comments folks made on All the Songs I Sing were life-changing. They helped me believe I might be good at this and should keep working at it.

Would you rather find a title or write a summary?

It is so wonderful, so very relaxing. At first, I was unsure, confident hypnosis was only a trope cartoons used, or subs played with for fun. I didnt think I could ever relax enough to drop and sink like these silly, spiraling posts demanded. I was afraid all hypnosis posts here were erotic, but I've learned this is not true at all. Some hypnotists... well, they simply want you to drop and relax for them, and those...well... now... I'm a bit addicted, I think~

Second I tried doing this a few days ago but tumblr just said "nah" and erased everything I wrote so sorry this took so long to respond to lmao here's attempt number 2.

Favorite Character - Hehehehehe oh boy I wonder who my favorite DB character is? :3c Real talk i love so many DB characters but HO boy do i L O V E Raditz. I could talk for hours about how much i love him don't get me started

Favorite Villain - Oooh that's a tough one. Love Piccolo Sr., Z Broly is amazing (if we only focus on the first movie.), Goku Black is literally the best part of the Super anime (Zamasu doesn't count i can't stand him).

Favorite Saga - Namek! Namek saga is my favorite part of Z.

Favorite Couple - Bruh GoChi hands down. I love them so much. When i was a kid and had the biggest crush on Goku (before Raditz showed up lol). I used to be sooo jealous of Chi Chi cause thought she was sooo cool and so pretty and she got to marry Goku like she's living the dream. I miss Chi Chi i wish Toriyama wasn't weird about women.

Least Favorite Character - Buu. Every form of him. Yes that includes Uub. Sorry. Also fucking Tao Pai Pai. I've always hated him. Zamasu is annoying as fuck but he's tolerable when he shuts the fuck up (Goku Black is great but he is on thin ice for being Zamasu).

Favorite episode - How do I pick ONE?? Like Yamcha's intro, literally any tournament episode from OGDB, Boss Rabbit omg, when King Piccolo got his shit wrecked, RADITZ'S intro, that episode where Gohan gets trapped underground with a robot, the G i n y u s, T R U N K ' S INTRO, THE FUCKING DRIVING EPISODE LIKE COME ON, those episodes that take place after Goku and Gohan come out of the HTC and spending time with family and friends before the Cell Games makes me WEEP, when they break the fucking Z-Sword, Princess Trunks, the first time Goku goes 4 LETS GOOO, probably anything with SSJ4 Gogeta I have so much fun when he's on screen, Vegito showing up during the Black arc!!!!

Favorite fight - If i have to narrow it down to just one it's definitely gonna be Cell vs Gohan.

Most emotional moment - Ooooh a good follow up for the last question. The Father-Son Kamehameha. Like, c'mon that moment is just, bruh it's good okay? i'm getting emotional thinking about it now

Most epic death - Oof i'm stuck between King Piccolo and Cell. Those are both super satisfying.

Listen. L i s t e n. I love him. He's great. If there's anything people will know me for it's for loving Raditz. I remember being six watching OGDB for the first time, having this growing crush on Goku having fun watching his adventures and wishing I could be one of the women in his life. Then he grows up, gets married to Chi Chi, and I remember thinking "Aww I'm so happy for him."

Then Z starts and opens with a beast of a man landing on Earth, wrecking shit, tanking hits, mopping the floor with what was supposed to be the strongest beings on the planet and laughs about it?? And THEN he drops the bombshell that he's Goku's BROTHER???

This guy became a FASCINATION for me. He hunts and eats an animal RAW. He flexes his power and strength literally every second cause he's hot shit and he knows he is. He's so fucking cool. He kidnaps his nephew and tells his brother to start committing genocide "or else". His whole shtick on screen is that he's this big bad mean and scary brutal warrior.

But then he does this thing. It's so quick, so easy to miss and ignore. His nephew is crying, wailing, losing his mind over everything. He's understandably scared. And yeah Raditz isn't gentle about the way he tells him to shut up. But he tells his nephew to "be brave".

That's when I was hooked. Why would such a "big mean and scary" guy tell his kidnapped victim to "be brave"? Maybe he's not such a bad guy after all? Is his "big scary guy" shtick an act? A farce? A mask to hide a softer side to him? I needed to know more I wanted to see what else this guy would do! And he's the brother of Goku! Goku manages to make friends with pretty much anyone! He'll wanna talk to the guy who is literally his big brother and the only blood family he has right?

AND THEN HE GETS FUCKING MURDERED AND WE NEVER SEE HIM AGAIN IN CANON EXCEPT FOR FLASHBACKS.

We were ROBBED I tell you.

I am SO THANKFUL that the games and supplementary stuff actually use him and look into his character, dive into the what-ifs and have FUN with him. I cling to any media with Raditz in it.

Favorite member of the Ginyu force - Jeice!

Favorite Frieza form - Third and Final.

Favorite quote -

Favorite female character - Aaaaaaah i love so any women in DB how can i choose one. Chi Chi, Bulma, Launch, 18, Videl, Chronoa (no one said i couldn't talk about the games lol), Cheelai, 21, Pan, there's so many good women and we need to see more of them.

Favorite attack - Ok i'm stuck with Big Bang Kamehameha, Final Kamehameha, Stardust Breaker, and Bluff Kamehameha. (Can you tell i love Gogeta)

Best Vegeta moment - That fucking come from behind sneak attack he used on Cell to help Gohan finish him off will forever be the COOLEST fucking thing Veggie's ever done in the anime.

Favorite quote (again?) - Sweet if I get to say another one I'm using the one I didn't say earlier.

Stupidest, most WTF moment - He. Ate. a fucking Dragon Ball. He fucking ate it. He just??? Swallowed it????? He just did that??????????????

Favorite "owned" moment - Does Oolong stealing the wish in OGDB for panties count. Cause not gonna lie that shit is kinda funny.

Most gruesome death - Z Broly fucking exploded that's pretty damn gruesome. So did Krillin so him too.

Funniest moment/episode - Look it's not even that funny but fucking 4Goge taunting Omega Shenron and pulling bluff kamehameha on him makes me giggle i love 4Goge so much. Also that time Krillin full strength chucked a rock at Goku's head cause he thought Goku would just instinctively catch it. Shit has me wheezing. Ooh! And the time Goku return-to-sendered Tao's grenade has me rolling every time fuck Tao lmao get fuckin rekt.

Best Goku moment - so many i love him. If i really have to pick i'm stuck again in that moment just before the Cell games where he just spends time with his loved ones. Those are literally the sweetest Goku moments and i get weepy thinking about them.

Coolest invention - Ok the smart answer here would be to say Capsule houses because i'd love to just drop a house where ever i felt like living. But the answer my heart wants to give is the Micro band.

Favorite form of Cell - Lil grubby larvae form Cell is adorbs. Imperfect is literally the coolest fucking design. I love Semi-perfect in an ugly way. Perfect is chef's kiss. I love Cell.

Favorite form of Buu - The one where he doesn't exist. Fuck Buu.

Why do you love Dragonball? - Oh god where do I begin? As a kid growing up mostly alone with a basic cable tv Dragonball was HUGE for me. This was my escape, to feel like I could go somewhere different, see incredible things, maybe even be someone else if I really wanted to. This was the thing I looked forward to every week. These adventures were inspirational, empowering. I felt like I was there, on the sidelines, in the background, cheering on my heroes as they triumphed. At the time I was the one lil black girl in a majorly white area. Goku was the weird kid with a tail. I felt like we could get along, pulled together by that universal "we're the odd ones out" feeling and be friends. When I saw Goku get more and more friends, it felt like they all became my friends too. These were my friends. It felt like I grew as they grew. I laughed when they laughed I cried when they cried. I feel like Dragonball might have shaped me as a person if I'm honest. Not fully sure how, but I couldn't imagine my life without it. Over 20 years later I'm still here. It's never left me and I know I'll never leave it. Even when it does dumbass shit that makes no sense (Future Trunks and Future Mai i am so sorry y'all fucking deserved so much better oh my lord).

Bio drop in list format bc I can’t take myself seriously enough to write in paragraphs rn -

Her father was a duke posted to the northern border and took her mother, a jianghu healer, as a second wife, because she saved his life after a particularly tough siege. She has an older brother and a few other younger siblings, and before everything bad happened she would’ve been happy to live out life just like that.

Then the emperor decided that their family held too much fame and military power in the far reaches of the country. They were a threat. So her father was wrongfully accused of colluding with foreign powers and committing treason after a lost battle, and her family was taken, imprisoned, and eventually executed.

She was spending the summer with her maternal grandfather, the head of the largest medicine sect in jianghu, at the time. Having escaped the massacre, her grandfather raised her as if she never had ties to court in the first place. She doesn’t remember much of her previous life, only that she loved her family dearly.

Once she was old enough to understand...she thought about revenge. She doesn’t know how she feels about it or how she intends to do it, if she does want that, yet, but she figures building a name and a living for herself first can’t hurt.

She grew up learning the medicinal arts that her grandfather had developed over the years and traveled with him everywhere from one place to the next, helping with treating patients as her grandfather’s assistant. Develops a special interest in acupuncture and some fame among female patients who she took care of mor conveniently.

When she comes of age, her grandfather finally gives her permission to travel on her own - and the silver needles that have been passed down in their family through the generations.

She’s been on her own, drifting around jianghu ever since, building up a patient base, saving strangers and making herself a little bit famous. Though she pokes her nose into most of the cases she runs into because she can’t help it and anonymously gifts prescriptions to treat widespread diseases to different pharmacies throughout the country as she’s going past, if a patient is coming to her specifically, she’ll only take the case if she deems it to be interesting enough / a challenge.

Fun trivia things!!

Most of the time she customizes prescriptions and oversees their making herself. She especially likes to (and it becomes a staple in her clinic/style) make the medicine into candies - because medicine c a n be sweet, so why shouldn’t it be, especially when the ill are miserable enough already? Also, she likes sweet things - the dosages of the medicines are adjusted taking into account the added sugar.

Please tell her she’s clever. She doesn’t absolutely live off praise ok maybe she does a tiny bit but she gets very giddy/perks up a l o t off of it.

She loves!!! Good patients!! If you take your meds on time and follow doctor’s order you have now become Her Favorite Patient!!! She’s very agreeable toward good patients!!

Ok she may just be very agreeable in general. When she’s thinking about other things / her mind is occupied / she’s very pleased, she’ll blurt out honest answers to almost any question / agree to almost anything before her mind catches back up.

Her favorite nickname is Tang Tang (it is a homonym for candy).

Not an innocent baby who could be taken advantage of by any means - but sometimes she plays it up. One of her advantages is looking relatively harmless and like she could be intimidated.

In truth the girl is fearless and slippery and lives by the motto “if you can handle the consequences of your action then you can do your action.”

Doesn’t know martial arts / can’t really f i g h t but has cultivated a very thick qi base since she was very young, which she lends very freely to those who need it and those who c a n actually fight in the necessary circumstance. Will and has joked previously that she’s like a “qi bank.”

"Well we are spending the week with my family and he is my brother." Y/n laughs as she pulls the hat box from the top of her closet. Bradley sits on the edge of her bed next to her open suitcase that's barely packed. "Besides I know you and him can't get into any arguments because Jake turns into a good ol southern momma's boy the minute we enter city limits." She sets the hat box down behind Bradley on the nightstand before moving back to her closet to pull out a few shirts and her ranch jeans that she keeps hidden in the back of her closet.

"Oh now that I gotta see." Bradley chuckles.

"Well you won't get see much except for most likely thanksgiving dinner and church Sunday morning." Y/n ruffles her boyfriend's hair. "He usually disappears either onto the ranch or visiting Lottie."

"Whose Lottie?" Bradley questions, y/n's eyes widen knowing she's already said too much.

"Nope! I'm not giving you fuel to use against him." She drops her tennis shoes and a pair of heeled boots into her suitcase along with her toiletries bag on top of her clothes and zips the suitcase shit.

"Hey Y/n! Y'all ready?" Jake asks poking his Stetson covered head into her room.

"All set! B can you grab my hat?"

"You didn't pull one out." B tells her, pulling her suitcase off the bed, walking it over to Jake who laughs at Bradley's response.

"No man. She's talking about her Stetson that's in the box by the bed." Jake points as y/n opens the box to reveal her Santa Fe Outdoors Hat she's own since high school.

"I didn't even know you owned one of those." Bradley stares in awe as she places the hat on her head and pulls her boots on.

"Hey when that sun is blaring down on you while you're chasing cattle, you're almost guaranteed to have one by the next day." Y/n laughs, using her index finger to lift Bradley's jaw closed, "Let's go Bradshaw!"

19 hours in the car was too long for y/n to deal with Bradley and Jake's bickering that she forced Jake's silence by making him drive most of the way, and pushing Bradley's 6ft frame to sit in the back of Jake's truck.

Despite the complaints from Bradley, the trip was finally peaceful as they pulled through the front gates, parking just in front of the house.

"Oh! Theres my babies!" Adeline Seresin calls walking down the steps to where Jake parked the truck.

"Hi mom." Jake is the first to greet her as Y/n has to practically drag Bradley from the backseat.

"Oh my sweet boy!" Adeline plants a kiss on each of his cheeks leaving bright red prints behind. Bradley chuckles at the sight of Jake.

"Oh and you must be Bradley! I'm so glad you could join us!" Now its Jake's turn to laugh as his mother plants a kiss on each of Bradley's cheeks.

"Hi mama."

"Oh hello y/n." Adeline gives a quick hug to her only daughter and immediately turns back to Jake. "Alright tell me everything!"

Y/n sighs, moving to the back of the truck and pulling the bags out, Bradley walking over to help.

“Yeah, just thought we’d surprise you.” Bradley chuckles.

“I’m gonna go grab us some drinks.” Y/n jogs up to the bar, drumming a little when Penny turns around. “Hey Pen, one beer and a water please.” Y/n smiles.

“Hey, when did you newlyweds get back? Haven’t seen you two since the wedding.”

“They’re great!”

Ice, Slider, Wolfman, and Hollywood. She hadn’t noticed their presence until the middle of the Ceremony. With only 40 graduates in her class, it wasn’t long until her name was called

“Miss Y/n Mitchell. Valedictorian. United States Naval Academy.” If the sheer magnitude of cheers just for her wasn’t clear enough, the four grown men who jumped from their seats definitely showed y/n that someone out there still cared besides the headmistress.

“Hi!” Y/n smiles as Slider runs up to her. He wraps his arms around her, lifting her into a bear hug.

Seb <3 Yes they are still friends and they make fun of each other all the time. They were really young when they dated and both not really in a place to have a serious relationship so at this point there aren't any real hurt feelings about it.

Also technically Candace but Aquata doesn't really count her... but yeah they are so NOT in touch.
