Considering Donnie in the Seperated AU literally had NO friends for the first several years of his life (no his dad does NOT count!!) it prompted Donnie to start developing Shelldon way earlier on out of the desire to have a friend. Even after meeting and befriending April, he still spends most of his days being quite lonely considering she'd be busy with school and stuff. Shelldon was a way to combat that loneliness. But considering the fact that Donnie wouldn't have had nearly as much experience with tech when starting on Shelldon's development, he started out as a very rudimentary AI only able to produce a few simple responses. (Donnie having basically no stanards for what social interactions should be like was not at all bothered by this lol) Over the years however, as Donnie's skillset grew Shelldon would become more and more complex, so at the time where the main story takes place Shelldon Hamato is for all intents and purposes a real person and not just a mere machine.

i dont wanna involve myself w it directly. the whole thing is caused/handled in such an immature and unnecessary way. an artist using their big following to encourage bullying and start unecessary kvthm vs hkvh ship wars and the amount of ppl who excuse and support that behavior, its rlly disappointing and frustrating to see

support and uplift each other but dont weirdly worship others like theyre literal gods just bc they have a big following or can draw good, it rlly goes to some ppls head. drawing good doesnt excuse bullying or disrespectful and ableist behavior/comments and u shouldnt excuse that behavior either

(as a side note, similar sex poses are inevitable unless u draw smth super crazy and i cant understand how someone who loves and obsesses over kaveh is at the same time ableist and apparently homophobic as well. gen confused)

1) I'm very proud of the apritello day 4 one, I truly enjoy taking the time doing this (probably the longest I've ever took since I start tmnt fanart on tumblr lmao) I really loved how it turned out.
