as someone who has experienced abuse from someone with a personality disorder, it's actually incredibly easy to not dehumanize everyone with a personality disorder. i've seen people do borderline eugenic rhetoric surrounding people who have npd, aspd, bpd or other personality disorders, and then be like "I'M allowed to say these things because i'm a survivor, and if you disagree you are hurting abuse victims."

and frankly? i'm tired of it. as an abuse survivor i'm here to say that you're NOT allowed to turn into a fucking eugenicist the moment you're hurt by someone with a personality disorder.

does hurting and belittling other people who happen to have the same disorder as your abuser, people that are already suffering and that are already looked down on by society, bring you any healing? does it bring you peace?

Being hurt by someone isn't an excuse to hurt others that you feel justified in lashing out on. you're literally in control of your own actions,

you may claim to be making a safe space for abuse survivors, but i will never feel any solidarity with you, and i ESPECIALLY don't feel safe with you considering i might have a personality disorder.

you are excluding a large amount of abuse survivors in the name of "advocacy". a lot of people with personality disorders developed one or multiple due to heavy abuse. in the aim of creating a safe space, you are excluding the ones who need a safe space the most.

What is your go-to way to fall asleep? ASMR for sure (I could probably count on one hand the number of times I have fallen asleep in silence over the last year and a half), but I also really like doing nonogram puzzles before bed - I've conditioned myself to get sleepy when I do them 😅

What is your favourite of Redacted’s audios, and why? I can probably fully recite "A Talk With One of Your Devious Owners" at this point - Not only is the really steady monotone tone of this one super relaxing to me, but I really like James as a character with complex and warring emotions. The cat/mouse vibe that this one introduced is very fun, and I love the way he slyly reveals all of the asset's own cards to them.

What Redacted boy holds no appeal to you, and why? I am so sorry to say it, but Caelum does not spark joy 😭 I think he is very sweet, and I love him as a character, but I have a hard time listening to those ones.

Tell me about that one book/movie/tv show you know all the words to. Oh god, suddenly I've forgotten every movie or TV show I've ever seen in my LIFE. I would say I could recite a good chunk of Elton John's biopic, Rocketman, BUT ALSO I watched Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (the one from 1971) a few days ago and was UNSETTLED by how easily I could recite that one line-by-line.

Which Redacted boy are you platonically attracted to? Like- forget dating, which dude do you want to be your best friend? I would die to be friends with Huxley. I think he would be SO easy to be around and just be yourself with. He also seems like the type of friend to listen to you actively while somebody talks over you or circle back to what you said when nobody heard you. Plus I just know one of his hugs would fix me.

Do you have a go-to thing you ramble about when you’re tired, and if so, what is it? mine is also space! I could talk for ages about space. I also have a tendency to get a second wind when I get into bed and I get rambly about whichever latest musical or fandom I'm obsessed with.

Tell me your go-to gas station and drink combo. It has been a MINUTE since I've done this but my favourite gas station snacks were always a bag of salt & vinegar kettle chips + a bottle of Arizona iced tea.

I can't tell if this refers to Redacted Playlists or Music, so I'll answer both: I have a Spotify playlist of songs I associate with Geordi, and no matter WHAT mood I'm in, they ALWAYS hit. They are mainly about love and self-image but even the sad ones don't make me feel super sad, just kinda relaxed and seen, I guess? I relate to Geordi a lot. For Redacted playlists, Sadism's Hold is ALWAYS going to be a winner for me. I have thought about Ivan's arc probably more consecutive hours than any other character.

What’s your guilty pleasure media, and why? Definitely ASMR/Boyfriend RP type content. I've been getting more comfortable wearing merch out in the real world and I usually find it easier to just refer to it as "a podcast I'm into" 😅

And whatever else you think tells me about who you are! My favourite colour is yellow, I love thunderstorms (the more thunder/lightning) the better, and I want to absolutely eat my hands when media makes a reference to Icarus or Cannibalism as a love language.

The Free Spirit is such a fun type, because it’s all in the name; you’re so unique and alive and all over the place in the best way. Though I don’t necessarily agree with that mother's advice, I do think it fits since it would be so easy for y’all. I think his easygoing, affable nature along with your shared interests means you’ll not just be a good couple but great friends, and that’s the ticket to a comfy, loving home and life with your cat.

Domestic Noraki Kakyoin Headcanons

First of all, Kakyoin would love the idea of marrying you! He hated the idea of forcing marriage onto you and would never want to make you feel uncomfortable, so he promised himself he’d only bring it up when you were both ready.

Kakyoin would be very calm and collected during the engagement/planning period. As soon as the big day arrived, however, he would be a nervous wreck. What if he messed up his vows in front of you? What if you didn’t like the ring? What if his curl looked funny? As soon as he saw you walking down the isle, though, all his worries would instantly melt away as his brilliant purple eyes met yours. All he could do from that point on was wonder how lucky he was to be with someone like you (and that you even said yes to his proposal in the first place)!

Kakyoin would want to wait until you’d been together for a while before bringing up the topic of children - he’d want to settle into married life before diving into the grand adventure of being a parent. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t want them!

Kakyoin wouldn’t be very sure about being a father at first, but would warm up to the idea the longer you stayed together. If you brought up having children with him, he would always conclude the conversation with saying that if it was what you wanted, he would try to be the best father he could ever be and he totally would be

He would always claim that he was bad with kids, but as soon as he got around them he was like a magnet to them. Children would constantly want to tug on his curl - and with a small grin and chuckle, he would let them

.Kakyoin would always be the first one up in the early morning hours, leaving a gentle kiss on your forehead or shoulder before getting up to make the both of you breakfast.

Don’t want to do laundry? Kakyoin is right on it. Don’t want to do dishes? Kakyoin is already doing them. Too tired from staying up binge-watching your favorite series? You’re already in his arms being carried to the bedroom. Kakyoin is the most helpful and attentive husband you could ever have. He knows you don’t want to make him do all the work, but he likes being there for you and taking care of things if you don’t feel up to the task. He doesn’t you to deal with any kind of stress when you’re at home together.

(Even if you tell him its okay to let you take care of things, he’ll always forget and want to do it anyways)

Oh, you’re sick? Kakyoin isn’t going to let you lift a finger. You bet your bunches you’re going to spend the entirety of the day huddled in a pile of blankets to keep you warm as Kakyoin tends to your every need.

By the end of the day, Kakyoin will take you in his arms as you huddle in your shared bed, whispering all the things he loves about you as you both drift off to sleep. He won’t be overly affectionate, but he will always keep an arm around you or a hand placed gently on your waist or around your abdomen as he hugs you close to his body.
