Further Proof that Norton Wasn't Killed by Orpheus:

This was made after the release of the DA CAPO animation. Gorgeous animation but definitely left a lot of people sad for Norton. Well digging through the wiki again I found the Twitter replies from Nightmare from IDV Twitter Japan:

Question: What? What? Norton?? What? Idv official, aren’t you too harsh on him??? What? (confused)

Nightmare's Response: Even if "Dreams" had remained bright, perhaps it would have been no problem. However it was the "Detective" himself who wanted the situation to be the way it is.

He stood up to shake off "Dreams"as a result of his "Reasoning" that "Ghastliness" is more correct that "Peace". Kudos to "All the Detectives".

(The irony here is I am trusting Nightmare's POV because in a sense, he's Orpheus' true self.)

THE MUSIC FOR THE NIGHTMARE AND FOOL'S GOLD EVENTS AHHH

I love how its the same theme but they are still so vastly different between Nightmare and Fool's Gold:

The fact that his is called 'Ember's Rekindled' has me 👀👀👀👀👀👀

But with Nightmare, the piano is the most prominent instrument with the passionate smashing of the keys and then these hauntingly beautiful moments where it is just so melodic 😭

Then there is Fool's Gold's with STRINGS IN YOUR FACE the entire time along with BRASS and otherworldly sounds that appear here and there. LOUD, with even LOUDER BURSTS, and its all just UNRELENTING/CONSTANT, chaotic flutes and then that burst of a screeching flute, only for this SILENCE to appear at the end and resonate, that almost feels like relief its over GOSH DANG 👀

(this was just sitting there in my drafts so I just decided 'huh why not just post it whatever' lol)
