if you're still doing the va ask game i'd love to hear your thoughts on Carrie Keranen!

Ok I'll be honest, this is a VA whose name I wasn't familiar with. Looking her up though, she plays one of the two main characters in Kill La Kill, which is neat! Haven't watched that show though, not my cup of tea but I do know it's amazing. OH AND APPARENTLY SHE WAS MITSUKI IN KAPPA MIKEY AND MOKUBA IN YU-GI-OH?! Gosh this is the Lysithea whiplash all over again. Also Mami Tomoe in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, a series I have NOT watched but I plan to sometime in the future. And Justine/Caroline/Lavenza in Persona 5.

TL;DR This is a seasoned VA that I've somehow never heard of, shame on me.

ANYWAYS, in FEH she's L'Arachel and Gunnthra. While I don't really have any strong feelings for Gunnthra, I love L'Arachel (the superior Princess of Sacred Stones. Seriously, could you imagine how much more fun the game would have been if she was the main character and not Eirika?)

Ok so performance: As Gunnthra, she does well enough. As L'Arachel? She SHINES. She somehow mixes both flamboyant yet humorously realistic tones in her performance as L'Arachel (Her "Look but don't touch" line in her Resplendent, her near slip-up in telling on herself in her regular outfit). And you can absolutely tell she has so much fun with L'Arachel's lines, especially in the Halloween costume.

I think she was well fit for both Gunnthra and L'Arachel, but L'Arachel especially. I'd say Carrie is to L'Arachel what Ben Diskin is to Lorenz, which is a compliment. She makes L'Arachel sound fun without making her sound TOO pompous, somewhat of an issue I have with Serra and Clarine.

Now... I can't really say that she has range. Great VA, absolutely, but you can pretty much hear the similarities between her Gunnthra and her L'Arachel. But thankfully her emotional performance more than makes up for it.

I'd say Carrie's an 8/10, but kind of barely. GREAT VA, but I feel like her Gunnthra pulls her down a little. Not trying to be mean at all, because like I said I adore L'Arachel. Let's just hope that maybe she'll get some more roles!

(Also I'm DEFINITELY still doing the VA asks, especially since there's a LOT of VAs in FEH to cover, and still more that I wanna gush about!)
