Quite a few people have said this already but I absolutely HATE the theories that Aziraphale was lying/brainwashed (like being mind-controlled by our bestie the Metatron)/trying to signal to Crowley for help. And I so so SO hope these don’t become true in season 3. You wanna know why???

Because as EVERY person who has said something about this has said the same thing: it removes all of the blame from Aziraphale. It means that he was never in the wrong because “oh it wasn’t his fault, he had no control over himself” or “he was trying to keep Crowley safe” or, and this is the one that makes me angriest for whatever reason, “he was trying to tell Crowley something was up [and it’s not his fault that Crowley didn’t get his message]”. And if Azi never made that mistake then he has little to no room for growth in the final season. Yes, I probably do have some Crowley bias, I’ll be the first to admit it and I am on Crowley’s side of the divorce, BUT it’s unfair to both Crowley and Aziraphale as well written characters to not have that room for growth in season 3. Because, as I may have mention prior, for them to get their happily ever after one of them will need to understand where each other is coming from when it comes to Heaven and Hell and the way I see this happening is by Azi realizing that Heaven is corrupt for more reasons than Gabriel and Michael. Now, you may be thinking, “well that doesn’t explain why the third option of him trying to signal danger is wrong” and in that, you’re right. And I, personally, don’t like this idea for two reasons: a) as previously stated it cheapens Azi’s character arc and leaves little to no room for growth in s3. He realizes that Heaven is corrupt and so on. And b) this is more of a personal thing ig but I feel like, as a theory, it shifts blame onto Crowley for not seeing his pleas for help which will make him seem like an even bigger asshole when he’s lashing out in s3 which once again leaves all the character development up to him which is, at the end of the day, unfair to both of them. Because neither one of them was the sole reason that they got to the point at which they needed to separate and I think it’s unfair to put the burden on only one of them in season 3. But yeah, that was my rant and I really HATE the coffee and lie theories. It is literally impossible to convince me that they’d be good story lines for s3. But each to their own ig.

Chapter 7 theories and Spoilers—

Considering the theory that Sebek may have something to do with the time crocodile from Peter Pan, is it plausible to wonder if Sebek may be able to summon Past!Lilia to help fight Malleus?

Not only that, but the entourage that trails behind Lilia?

Another theory I have is, Mickey and Yuu are connected through dreams. Especially when taking into account how Yuu was summoned to TWST.

If magic on Malleus's scale can mess with memories what other being could do so? Could it have been a subconscious call for help from Crowley? Or was it from Mickey?

My bet is that it may have been from Crowley and the Mirror.

I also find it odd how, when Mickey appears before Yuu and Grim a blot monster appears. Coincidence or not I do think it is notable to mention that; because it could lend credence to Grim Overblotting or Malleus summoning other blot monsters in battle to aid him.

Yuu not being included in Malleus' dreams dreamscape could mean a lot of things, but I do think of it as Malleus subconsciously believing that it was Yuu's fault that everything had spiraled out of control.

But it can also mean that Malleus does believe in the futility of what he is doing, and by not including Yuu he can keep his peace for a little while longer.

Yuu represents change and how everything that was once in the dark will come to light.

I also believe that S.T.Y.X will probably play a hand in their victory against Malleus, mostly because of their magic resistant armor. But also because Chaoter 6 themes of family and grief played a heavy hand and to see Ortho—the one who died but was reborn, reach out to Malleus, someone who is watching his father figure decay before his eyes....

Aziraphale had been doing his best to fit into his new role as Supreme Archangel but whatever he did, he had this nagging feeling in the back of his head that something else was going on. That something wasn't right. Oh, he already knew that the other Archangels didn't particularly like him, but there was something more than that. Aziraphale wanted to do good & make Heaven better, especially if the plan was to go forward. But he just didn't feel completely right. Like there was something else making him stay there.

Then there was the fact that he couldn't stop thinking of Crowley. The demon had kissed him. Him.... Everytime he thought about it, Aziraphale entered an almost daze. Losing track of things around him. There had even been times when he had been discussing things in a 'meeting' with the other Archangels and his mind had drifted to Crowley and how things had been left.

Despite being eager to make a difference in Heaven, Aziraphale was already beginning to miss his life on Earth. The food, the hot cocoa, his bookshop, his demon.... oh. When had he started to think of Crowley as his demon? He swallowed and became focused on that, oblivious to what was being said. Aziraphale was broken out of it only when Metatron handed him a coffee and he gave a smile as he took it. Coffee hadn't really been his 'thing' on Earth but Metatron had been bringing them to him since he had come back to Heaven and, well, he hadn't wanted to be impolite. He was actually starting to rather like them as well.

The meeting continued as he sipped his coffee, suddenly perking up at the mention of someone checking in on Muriel in the bookshop. His bookshop. Oh, his bookshop.

"I could check in on them." Aziraphale said quickly, trying not to have his eagerness at the idea creep onto his features too much. He would love to see his bookshop again, he had been missing it so. And, well, there was the possibility of seeing a certain demon again. "I mean, I did reside there before, it would less conspicuous for me to visit. Act as if I were checking in on it and all that."

The other Archangels rolled their eyes but eventually agreed that it was the best idea. And so Aziraphale headed down to Earth, making his way to his wonderful bookshop with an excited look on his face. He waved to Maggie and Nina when he saw them though frowned when he saw the unamused and possibly annoyed look upon their features. What was that for? Aziraphale shook his head and went to enter.
