hi!! im queso again, im going to send some stuff anout tpth if thats cool :)) - tag: "I promise this isn't as sad as it sounds" you lied to me - i like how you describe the different climates in the different months!! im usually not a fan of weather descriptions to start a story but they were interesting :) - the crushing hug!! gaghhh theyre so cute - i absolutely loved everything from the point they reach the jackson-blofis house to the end of the dancing scene.. i had read the sneak peek of sally and grover dancing and that was what got me hooked and waiting for this fic!! may draw that some time - i also remember the flip phone from the six sentence posts!! it's cool and cute despite the sadness of the situation - WOAGH THEIR FIGHT... THAT'S JUST. SO WELL DONE!!! THE WHOLE SCENE!! i think that is where i found annabeth and grover the most in-character in the whole fic and other than the dance it's my favourite part of it. hands down a great moment. i'd quote some lines but they'd take over this ask - the boxes!! THE RECEIPT. i fucking died. - i honestly thought i was the only person who also thought grover's mother had left. i thought i was the only person who thought about him being an orphan in the first place - the memory with percy.... the gughh EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT PART!!!!! - "Just this once, he thinks, I’ll be selfish." i am deceased i am laying down on your front door user aknosde - the receipt. is not inocuous at all. - SALLY GIVES HIM THE KEYS AND. UGH. I KNOW BABY. IT'S HARD BUT WE'LL BE ALRIGHT. DO YOU WANT ME DEAD - clarisse was a great choice for a character to play the role she plays in that point of the story i love clarisse and her and grover interacted very nicely - he cared enough to try and try again. fucking hell - ITS A CHANGE BUT ITS NOT A BAD ONE!!! YES!!! SHE'S GROWING AND LEARNING!!!! - the percy and grover scene is so sweet and kinda sad but sweet and nice and they really know eachother and they have that stupid tiny disagreement but it's resolved so quickly... preserve MY heart bc it's dying with me - THE PRINCESS DIARIES... THEYD DEFINITELY WATCH THOSE FILMS TOGETHER ALL THE TIME - love this fic ive been waitin for it since september or so and AGH,, thank you !!!

crushing hug!! my bsf is really good at cracking backs and has several ways to do it through hugs and i thought annabeth would too

im glad you liked that scene. it was inspired by the entire whats going on album and the song dancing with your ghost by sasha sloan and i ended up really liking it too. also it does some pretty heavy lifting by setting the "norm" so you can see how things change, esp vis-a-vis sally, which is signified by grover taking over for annabeth in leading their dance (also your art is so cool if you did that i’d never shut up abt it)

flip phones!! they'll be showing up in my aie fics

im glad you liked the fight and found it in character!!! i felt it was super necessary for the story but also it was so much fun to write!! i love to see them all get angry!!!

packing up your friends' bedroom can be such a personal thing

the fact that grovers lost all his family!!!! and no one ever talks about it!!!!! 😡😫🧍‍♂️

the memory!! also very important to the story but it was also a chance for me to show percy being emotionally intelligent and deeply kind which are things i love him for <3

i love sally jackson so much and while i dont think she's perfect i think she is very deeply good and she cares abt percy and his friends so much!! (also shout out to aftg for making me think abt the significance of keys 24/7)

i love clarisse i love her friendship with percy i love how mean she is and how much she cares ❤️ (also like ik annabeth isn’t a bitch in the books but she is assholeish towards rachel in botl when she’s concerned abt percy and i wanted something similar in this. so the target was drew. along w like,,, everyone else)

i never stop thinking about how percy didnt have any friends until grover and how percy was the first kid that grover treated as an actual friend, not a charge

annabeth is growing and learning!! she has so much growth even between tlo and moa!! the fact that she becomes comfortable saying ily is sooooo important to me and i decided that it was partially bc of grover

i wanted the final scene to wrap up the facets of percy that grover points out through the rest of the story and it was also important to me that we see that things aren't perfect once he gets back and that he and grover have points of contention just like grover had with annabeth. but also they've known each other forever and dont sweat the small stuff. thats real friendship <333

princess diaries!! like i said, i def think there are parallels between percy and mia and whether or not he and his friends realize it at this point i think its one of the reasons he likes watching it

Naw bc ppl really do too much when it comes to Vanessa B. I know there are certain things you’re supposed to say to ppl who have lost a loved one, but I roll my eyes everytime I see people say something along the lines of “I’m so happy to finally see her smile again” as if the woman (and her oldest daughter) hasn’t BEEN living her best life. A couple of months after loosing her husband and daughter, she was traveling the world, going to Disneyland everyday, going to these celebrity events and skinning and grinning for the cameras on red carpets and she still hasn’t slowed down a bit. Im not saying they had to put their lives on hold, but other ppl need to stop acting like they did when in actuality they wasted no time. It just boggles my mind.

And don’t even get me started on that sham foundation of her’s. It’s a well known practice that these rich ppl established foundations for massive tax write offs and use it as a vanity project, and for her she uses it as a reason to do photo shoots and post pictures of herself on social media (and tax write offs ofc), there’s tons of articles on the internet breaking down this common practice. I will never get over how during the middle of a trial where she was claiming emotional distress over pictures that have never been made public and ones she herself has admitted to never seeing before, she was promoting herself on social selling those cheap necklaces to commemorate KB’s birthday of all things. You can’t convince me she didn’t just want to do a photoshoot. Can you imagine doing that, then the next day going to a court room and putting on a performance crying about how your relationship with social media has and will forever change? Anyone else would have gotten eaten up over their hypocrisy especially bc these media outlets were writing about her making a scene and constantly walking out of the court room bc of how quote-on-quote distressing everything was for her, then you go on her social media and see that shallow nonsense? No one would have known about the pictures had she not filed the suit. And it’s likely that her emotional distress stems from the loss of her husband and daughter and not pics she can’t for the life of her even describe. I’m not condoning what those employees did, but there’s tons of pics of dead bodies of regular ppl and celebs on the internet. I have never seen the media and public give so much grace and privacy to the loved ones of a deceased person like they have with this family. TMZ and a bunch of other media outlets plastered videos of Anne Heche literally DYING in front of our eyes, and we have yet to hear from her family. The bodies from the helicopter crash were in such bad condition that even if the pictures leaked, no one would have known what is was unlesss told. They literally had to hire a digital forensic scientist to match the verbal descriptions of the pictures with the autopsy bc of how indistinguishable the pictures were. I followed the lawsuit and different media outlets had transcripts to the trial and pre-trials, some of which I read and one of the guys on trial literally admitted that Vanessa paid him $21,000 for his testimony. He was legally required to admit it to the jury. I can’t imagine who else she paid off. She got $16 million, so it was a great return on her investment. During the pre-trial, she told the judge that she filed the lawsuit to make an example out of those employees, but the judge himself replied back to her that he can’t find any reason why she would file the suit other than for money. If judges could toss out lawsuits when they sense bs, I’m guessing the judge would have done it, but V hired the best lawyers anyone could find. He even condemned and almost fined them bc her lawyers were submitting too much nonsensical paperwork and requested to have stuff be shown to the jury that had nothing to do with the trial other than to sway the jury. At the end of the trial, TMZ, who also had transcripts of the trial wrote about how she was demanding $75 million dollars—and from tax payers btw, bc she was suing the county not the individual officers. Her greedy ass knew who to sue bc those officers would have been left bankrupt and without a dime after the lawsuit and therefore be unable to give her anything by the time a verdict was read. THAT would have been making an example out of them but no, she wanted more money bc it’s not like inheriting $800 million dollars is alot, right? Smh

As for those Mamba/cita gyms she’s “opening”, the foundation doesn’t even own those gyms. Her ppl go to owners of these gyms and asks them if they can renovate it in the form of plastering her husband and daughter’s faces all over it in exchange for good publicity for their park/gym. I can tell not just by how she words the captions of her posts everytime she posts about the gyms/parks, but she usually tags the real owners who make a post about her approaching them about this idea of honoring her husband and daughter. They make no mention of her purchasing it or being the new owner through the foundation. I’m not going to blame her for it bc the cost will add up over time, but I need ppl to get a grip and stop praising her for what she is doing bc it is the bare minimum. That foundation has made tens of millions of dollars, especially with that $24 million donation from the founder of Body Armor, the collab with Nike who she came running right back to for more money after trashing them on her social media, and selling those ugly overpriced sweats and necklaces. Seems like all that foundation does is renovate some gyms in the form of repainting it and they have likely spent no more than a couple of hundreds of thousands of dollars total. The foundation has been around for years even before 2020 and no surprise, it used to be called the Kobe and Vanessa Foundation prior to its name change and they did nothing. It was literally a tax shelter and if the name itself doesn’t tell you it was also created for vanity, I don’t know what to say. Gisele and Tom Brady just got exposed for doing this exact same thing with their self-named foundation. Rich ppl are some of the cheapest and most money hungry ppl ever. I know I sound bitter but idc, it’s the truth.

answering this made me realize that i dont remember much about actual wc lore. ive been so focused on my own stories n characters that i was like oh yeah. warrior cats isnt my own made up creation and it already has canon established charcaters and stories . yeah <3 PLUS ALSO IT MADE ME REalize i barely know anything about the series from thr 5th series onward. like i know and have read every book from series 1-3, read 4/6 books i the 4th series, and i havent read the 5th, 6th, or 7th series. BUT i did read the first book in the 8th series annnnnd i liked it a lot so :) but yeah i dont really know much about series 5-7 but from what ive heard and seen n from what ive seen in videos the 5th series is good, the 6th series is okay and the first half of the 7th series is fine but it gets worse after book 3 KJSDKJBLKJG

1. What originally drew me to it

well. i was at the library in like 4th grade (maybe 3rd i genuinely dont remember) and i saw the cover for fire and ice (the 2nd book in the 1st series) and i waslike omg thasa kitty !!!!!!! and i read it and i aws like "WAW I NEED TO READ MORE I LOVE THESE FUCKED UP CATS HHOOOHGH WHATS GONNA HAPPEN TO GRAYSTRIPE AND FIREHEART HOUOUHG???!??!" n then i went back read the first book and after that i just. yeah <333

8. The character with the greatest wasted/unexplored potential

like. every single background character in thunderclan. because think about it so many of them could be interesting and have interesting stories and potential to do stuff but sooooo many cats are juts. wasted potential. i think hollytuft, one of lionblaze's and cinderheart's kits, could have had so much potential. SHE could've gotten flamepaw's arc of not living up to everyones expectations. hollytuft is named after lionblaze's dead sister hollyleaf and i feel like flamepaw's whole arc of being liek "ugh ive never even MET firestar and hes this IMPORTANT LEADER GUY and he's my GREAT GRANDFATHER and i look NOTHING LIKE HIM!!!!" could have and should have been given to hollytuft. hollytuft never met hollyleaf but with hollytuft her design looks exactly like hollyleaf, black fur n green eyes. something could have been done with that, with her being liek "ohhh im nervous because my dad wants me to live up to my aunt hollyleaf's name but ouhghg i feel like im not good neough because im juts a nobody im not special like she was !!!" and aughudgbhj. even her siblings fernsong and sorrelstripe could have had a similar arc to hers as they're both named after other cats, ferncloud and sorreltail who are also both deceased. but noOOOOo they gave what could have been an interesting story to Firestar Clone #4 and not her </333

14. The character/story arc I find the most compelling

i really really really like frostpaw's arc so far. idk if that rly counts bc arc 8 isnt finished yet and book 2 isnt even OUT yet so all we have to go off of is what was shown in book 1 but so far im just IN LOVE with her. poor thing was like "im gonna be a medicine cat apprentice!!!!!" and suddenly had to deal with her leader dying, their deputy being mysteriously murdered, and then her own mother bein mauled to death in front of her by DOGS. on top of that her mentor, her mediicne cat mentor, DOESNT BELIEVE IN STARCLAN and thats like a HUGE THING because a med cat is , yknow, supposed to be connected To Starclan n is supposed to get prophecies n stuff from them but mothwing, frostpaw's mentor, doesnt. believe in starclan. so its just. yeah! its very very interesting so far

16. A scene/moment that makes me really emotional every single time

there's. i think these few extra chapters in one of the books that comes after squirrelflight's hope, where leafpool dies. and its these few like bonus chapters about jayfeather (leafpool's son) and his own grief and him trying so hard to deny that he's grieving and then being visited by leafpool from starclan and just LOSING IT and its so ?? heart wrenching??? and afterwards he's like "actually no. it is okay 2 grieve . i am going to be okay" AND IM JUTS LIKE AWAHHAHAAAHAAAA <:( <:( <:(

18. A plot hole that makes me want to tear my hair out

theres so many. thers so many plot holes and inconsistencies in warrior cats that id be here all night if i had to name them all . but i suppose ill give a list of the ones i hate very very very VERY much :

i feel like every single Thing about starclan/the dark forest is just. a plot hole. in the prophecies begin and i think the new prophecy the dark forest is supposed to be a place where every Evil Cat goes and spends the rest of their life in solitude and they dont speak to any other dark forest resident. they can still talk to living cats through dreams but thats about it. but then fuckin idk in the 4th series theyre like "uhhh yeah hawkfrost tigerstar and brokenstar and every other dark forest warrior are able to communicate with each other which shouldnt be. like. possible! but oh well <3 same with starclan bc its like sometimes they can do certain things and then in other books theyre like "umm actually we cant do that" so its like . H

every single parent/kit plot hole/inconsistency. theres so many cats who we dont know the fathers/mothers of (though its more often than not the fathers who are unknown) and that on its own is to be expected, esp in super editions or in the early series. we to this day still have no idea who sandstorm's parents are. we don't know who ashfur/ferncloud's father is. we dont know who cloudtail's father is. we dont know a lot of things! but something that bothers me is when the warrior cats family tree tries to say that this cat is so-and-so's father especially when said cat is absolutely not the kit's father. like with whitestorm and brindleface, whitestorm is said to be brindleface's mate and therefore ferncloud and ashfur's mate. but whitestorm was already mates with willowpelt at the same time as he was supposedly mates with brindle, and whitestorm is absolutely not the type of person to have a mate, have kits with said mate, and then instantly move on to another cat while his kits are still in the nursery. whitestorm is loyal and by all means a good father to his Actual kits, sorrelkit rainkit and sootkit. and then the wc family tree also suggested that redtail and brindleface (yes, the same brindleface who's suppsoedly also mates with whitestorm) are the parents of sandstorm despte sandstorm during the 1st series not participating in either of their funerals. plus if you make sandstorm brindleface's daughter you make ashfur her brother and you make squirrelflight' sandstorm's daughter, ashfur's niece. and thats REAL bad when the whole ashfur having a thing for squirrelflight happens. yikes!

thats really it those are all the things i can think of. ik its only 2 things but . oh well DBJHBJKG

Im just gonna say it: All this speculation about Christopher using his powers against an already severely traumatized Five is gonna hurt me but also I want it but also it's such good fic fodder? Can already see the "Five sees the love of his life aka Reader in a tortured/deceased/dying position and loses it" scenarios that'll appear in the tags a year from now and I am looking forward to it so much but also, I raise you:

Five sees the Reader (and his family) dead and the blood on his hands and he realizes it's HIM who killed them which is a scenario too painful for him to bear especially after he said he was done with killing and THAT is his worst fear.

Angst instantly amped up to a 100 which is horrible but great at the same time.

Alright this extends from a twitter discussion, this is my counter argument to this post right here that they referenced, now this is my rebuttal.

You accepted that Ashura has reincarnated inside of you, instead of accepted that Ashura has reincarnated as you…. This makes me think that Ashura is just clinging to Naruto and isn’t actually him… Cause when people reincarnate they reincarnate as someone or something else, not inside of them, that’s more like a possession…

First off thats not how reincarnation works, several times in this post they make the argument that in order to be a true reincarnation that the two people have to be one and the same, this couldnt be further from the truth though.

Reincarnation, also known as rebirth or transmigration is the philosophical or religious belief that the non-physical essence of a living being begins a new life in a different physical form or body after biological death

In most beliefs involving reincarnation, the soul is seen as immortal and the only thing that becomes perishable is the body. Upon death, the soul becomes transmigrated into a new infant (or animal) to live again. The term transmigration means passing of soul from another body to another after-death.

THIS is how reincarnation works.

The body itself is not that of Ashura, but of Naruto, but Ashura’s SOUL is INSIDE Naruto’s body. They may have the same soul, but the new body functions largely as its own individual.

Take Inuyasha for example, Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo, she has no memories of Kikyo’s but she inherited her spiritual powers and affinity with a bow and also her love for Inuyasha. Kagome and Kikyo are separate individuals yes, but she still has Kikyo’s soul and her powers by extension. The same applies to Naruto, he and Ashura are different people yes, but he still has Ashura’s SOUL and as such his power, he also inherited his love for his brother Indra which was passed down to Hashirama for Madara, and then Naruto for Sasuke.

To clarify YES Kagome grew to love Inuyasha through her own experiences for her own reasoning, and Naruto grew to love Sasuke like a brother through his own experiences and for his own reasoning. But this was both DESTINED and FATED to happen because of who they were, or more specifically who they are inside. It was inevitable.

The individuals may be different, but as reincarnations they still inherited their past lives powers and bonds/feelings towards the person who was most precious to them before dying. In Kikyo’s case it was her strong love for Inuyasha passed on to Kagome, and in Ashura’s case it was his strong love for his brother Indra and desire to save him passed down to Naruto.

When Hashirama and Madara died, the transmigration cycle resumed. Naruto Uzumaki became the next inheritor of Asura's chakra and will, with Sasuke Uchiha inheriting Indra's chakra and will.

This is from the Naruto wiki, but it is still an accurate description of what reincarnation is in Naruto, the transmigration of someones soul into another persons body, which is exactly what Hagoromo says happened with Naruto and Sasuke.

It’s important to note Naruto is the only one who refers to it as being haunted by a ghost and possession, Hagoromo specifically says in EVERY instance that Naruto and Sasuke are reincarnations and that Ashura and Indra have reincarnated inside them, so to use Naruto’s words here as evidence is inaccurate, because Hagoromo specifically says reincarnation, not possession.

In Hagoromo’s own character file refers to it as the transmigration of souls walking through an eternity of samara, making the argument of possession null and void.

Saṃsāra is a Sanskrit word that means "world". It is also the concept of rebirth and "cyclicality of all life, matter, existence", a fundamental belief of most Indian religions. In short, it is the cycle of death and rebirth. Saṃsāra is sometimes referred to with terms or phrases such as transmigration, karmic cycle, reincarnation, and "cycle of aimless drifting, wandering or mundane existence"

So this statement right here ^ is thoroughly debunked.

The definition of reincarnation and possession is vastly different with how they function and honestly disproves your own point of them being different people, because in order to be possessed you have to be CONTROLED by another entity which Naruto and Sasuke are not.

To possess is to take control over, if Indra and Ashura took control over them and have been in control their whole lives that means two twin brothers consciously developed romantic feelings for eachother by your logic, which is even worse than them just being reincarnations.

Possession is a term more accurate for Edo Tensei or Karma, not reincarnation.

So what am I getting at here? Reincarnation in Naruto doesnt mean being considered the same person as the deceased, it just means you have their soul, it DOES NOT MEAN Naruto is Ashura, he still has his own identity, but part of that identity is influenced by Ashura.

Hagoromo actually refers to it in several ways but they all essentially have the same meaning.

‘Ashura’s chakra is clinging about you’

‘Ashura’s presence inside you’

‘Ashura has reincarnated as you’

‘Ashura has reincarnated inside you’.

All different phrases, but carry the same meaning, Ashura’s soul reincarnated inside of Naruto, and Indra’s soul reincarnated inside Sasuke.

Your putting too much emphasis on the wording rather than the meaning.

Ashura clearly influenced Naruto in many ways despite them being separate people, by having the same soul its only natural that Naruto would inherit many of Ashura’s traits. Hagoromo himself points out how much like Ashura he is.

So their not really that different after all. Ashura’s soul still had alot of influence on Naruto’s beliefs, personality, and ideals as well as his strong bond with Sasuke. Naruto may have reached those conclusions in his own way through his own experiences but the result remained the same as Ashura’s due to his influence from inside him.

However although their not the same person physically, I think its important to note they are the same person spiritually. They still have their own unique chakra signatures that can be distinguished by certain ocular jutsu’s, but they are still overall the same spiritually with the same soul and chakra.

Naruto Uzumaki became the next inheritor of Asura's chakra and will, with Sasuke Uchiha inheriting Indra's chakra and will.

Again this is from the wiki, but it still accurately depicts what happened. They are different people, but they still inherited Indra and Ashura’s will from having their souls inside them.

Dont misunderstand, Naruto and Sasuke still have their own wills too and not all of their decisions and feelings extend from Indra and Ashura, Im just saying that they had an INFLUENCE on them in several aspects of their lives, but they still formed their own bonds and relationships through their own life experiences. Zetsu even comments on how Naruto and Sasuke are cooperating closely together more than any other reincarnate before them, proving they are still their own person capable of doing things their own way.

The fact that Naruto was able to succeed where Hashirama and Ashura failed is also proof of their individuality, but that was also predestined to happen.

Ultimately, Naruto managed to succeed in Asura's final goal which all other reincarnations failed at: end the rift between the two lines of the reincarnated brothers. Naruto achieved this after defeating Sasuke, who then finally accepted Naruto's ideals.

Everything I said for Naruto applies to Sasuke so I dont really need to reiterate it.

Onto the next point.

My point is that Indra and Ashura clung to people of their bloodline that was a lot like them, in terms of personality or ambitions, and thereby were reincarnated… So Naruto and Sasuke aren’t brothers and instead are just possessed by brothers..

This is impossible, because Indra and Ashura didnt possess Naruto and Sasuke like I said, but reincarnated inside them not long after they were born once both previous reincarnates were dead, meaning Indra and Ashura had NO idea what Naruto and Sasuke’s personalities or ambitions would be later in life. Their not psychic, they cant see the future so this argument is invalid.

They simply reincarnated inside Naruto and Sasuke because they were newborns and Hashirama was already dead, so all that was needed was for Madara to die which didnt happen till years later when Naruto and Sasuke were born. Once Sasuke was born Indra reincarnated into him, and when Naruto was born Ashura reincarnated into him. Naruto and Sasuke just happened to be born at the right time, there was nothing more to it than that.

So now that we’re done with the reincarnation counter argument, now for why NaruSasu is problematic because of it and yes, they are in fact brothers.

For starters going off what I said about reincarnation alone already makes things problematic, infact it is the MAIN reason its problematic. Just because Naruto and Sasuke arent literally Indra and Ashura doesnt change the fact that they have their SOULS, meaning they are literally SOUL brothers, do you really not see the problem with two guys who were TWIN brothers in their past lives to be romantically involved? come on now.

Here he says that he and Sasuke aren’t true brothers, which means that they’re not actually related despite being reincarnated from brothers.. Which again, to my knowledge, if you’re reincarnated from brothers you’d still be brothers… But he says that they’re not…

This is flawed on so many levels, as I’ve already explained how reincarnation works in both Naruto and Japanese beliefs they are SOUL brothers. If your soul was reincarnated into a new body, and your brother or sisters soul was reincarnated into another body, would you want your reincarnates in a romantic relationship with eachother? I know I wouldnt, because as shown in Naruto Indra and Ashura are still very much conscious inside them, which means they are AWARE of whats happening, they just dont have control over them.

Even if they WERENT conscious its irrelevant, because the core issue is that they are THERE and they are BROTHERS, this is not incest in a physical sense, but in a spiritual sense this is very much an incetuous ship as they share both body and soul, that is still VERY problematic because they are STILL brothers, not by blood, but by soul.

While Naruto does say that he sees Sasuke as a brother several times, it doesn’t seem like that at all… To me it seems more like a crush that he doesn’t realize he has, or a crush he isn’t ready to believe he has…

Thats all speculation and how you choose to perceive things, but there is beyond enough evidence that proves it wrong which I’ll go more in depth in another post I’ll link back to here. But honestly theres not only tons of evidence that proves it wrong, theres literally nothing anywhere in canon that suggests romantic feelings between them in the first place. Thats a fact not an opinion.

But just to add one of my points here, which is the other biggest reason NaruSasu is problematic, is that they are ACTUAL brothers.

I know right? I just said their not Indra and Ashura and are their own person how are they brothers? simple, thats true only for the show, however theres one other key factor that makes any argument you try to pull from the show for WHY their not brothers null and void. Which is that they are brothers by DESIGN.

Unfortunately the link is no longer available but this persons summary is pretty much what Kishimoto said. And the one above it is an actual sceenshot from when the site was still up.

From the beginning they were modeled after two real life brothers, Kishimoto and his twin brother Seishi, that was always the INTENT when making Naruto and Sasuke’s bond, so regardless of if their brothers by blood, by soul, or by bond, they are brothers by design, theres not a single argument you can come up with that’ll change that.

So in conclusion, yes, Sasuke and Naruto are real brothers by design, so for some people to call it incest is not far from the truth, because to ship Naruto and Sasuke your essentially shipping Kishimoto and his Twin brother.

I didnt wanna make this too long, so I focused on just the reincarnation aspect as that was the main point of the argument, and saved the other stuff about their relationship for another post so there wouldnt have to be a ton of scrolling on one post. But honestly? I think this post sums it up pretty well on WHY shipping this is problematic, you dont HAVE to stop shipping it if you dont want to, Im just pointing out why saying they are not brothers is factually incorrect.

Please talk about mortuary science and the death industry im all ears

mortuary science is far from something that i'm an expert on and i'm not very comfortable talking abt it publicly because i would prefer not to embarrass myself but i'm confident in my opinions on the death industry!!

i think that having a billion dollar death industry is bad news off the bat and doesn't really bode well for anyone except the people who are able to profit off of death, between paying for a burial & a casket/coffin and then paying for someone to take care of the dead it all adds up and makes dying incredibly inaccessible for the poor and only adds stress to the family of the dead because suddenly they've lost a loved one and now they're having to pay thousands of dollars for their loved one to be laid to rest. its an incredibly predatory practice and i don't like it.

i also think that the death industry & the pressure to have a "traditional" funeral especially in the united states is harmful because it doesn't allow the family of the deceased to really grieve and cope and spend time with their loved one. funeral homes only have a specific amount of time booked for a viewing and expecting people to grieve and come to terms with the loss of their loved one in the span of two hours and possibly even less time is just cruel to me and i can't get behind it. personally i don't think that funerals should be sad in nature and i'm more about celebrating the lives of the deceased as opposed to solely mourning, but really that's just my preference.

i don't have many answers on how to fix this because i'm seventeen and not an expert who someone would listen to but one of my favorite sources of information for this topic is Caitlin Doughty aka Ask A Mortician on YouTube! her videos are informative while also being somewhat lighthearted and easy to consume. my favorite videos of her's are her iconic corpse series where she talks about iconic corpses from history and looks at them from a humanized lens, telling the stories of these people and portraying them with the respect they might not have been given in death. i'm not the best at explaining things sorry but i've learnt a lot from her and i highly recommend her channel!

this is very silly and a little bit morbid but i actually enjoy the concept of planning my own funeral and living a specific list of shit i want done by whoever is taking care of my body when i'm gone. it's silly because i know that i'm not going to die soon but it's comforting for me to think about how i'll be remembered. cause im not really scared of dying like at all, i just fear that i won't leave behind a legacy & an impression on the people in my life. i wanna be remembered fondly basically

currently i want a natural burial like no coffin or anything, i want my loved ones to dig a hole and put me in it and then cover me in dirt and plant flowers over my grave if possible :) because i still want people to see something beautiful when they come to visit me if they do

this is also incredibly silly but i kind of want to be buried in lingerie like if i'm going to be dead i want the last time people see me to leave an impression on them, whether it be disgust or joy lmaoooo

i do not want to be cremated because truthfully the idea of someone keeping parts of me when i'm dead is very uncomfortable for me & i would like for my body to be whole when i pass on 😭

i want my funeral to be a celebration of my life and somewhere where my loved ones can be happy to remember me and work for their grief without the pressure of a time limit and without the sorrow atmosphere of a funeral home. obviously this doesn't work for everyone but it's what brings me the most comfort to think about :)

really i just want people to be able to mourn the deceased without worrying about how they're going to pay for their burial or how much time they have left with the body, i don't think it's very possible to cope w the loss of a loved one under those circumstances. sorry if this is wordy & long i know its a lot to read this is just something i'm passionate abt

ANIMAL SPIRIT WORK - MASSIVE HOW-TO

okay because there's not a ton of information out there (at least info that's easy to find without clicking through a bunch of pages and stuff) on animal spirit work and how to do it, i thought i'd try to tackle this issue by writing my own post lmao. (as always, some of this is UPG, but there's also some SPG in this post - shared personal gnosis)

a brief intro: "wtf is animal spirit work? is this that sPirIT anIMaL stuff? how does it differ from normal spirit work?" first, no, this has nothing to do with spirit animals or whatever else you might be thinking of that fall in with that line of thinking. here's my take on animal spirit work explained in one sentence: animal spirit work is working with spirits of dead physical earth animals. it's different from regular spirit work in the way that you're working with spirits of deceased earth animals, rather than spirits of the astral plane or earth spirits that are not of deceased animals (i.e. nature spirits, fae, merfolk, landgods, dragons, houseplants, trees, etc). animal spirit work is when you interact with dead animals, whether it's by finding them around randomly, or by using animal remains to connect with them. you can talk to them, make friends with them, help them to "move on" to the "other side" of death, and even have them help you in spellwork or other magical workings.

how it works: find an animal spirit. "well, how do i do that, comet?" either find a random animal spirit somewhere on earth, or (the easier way) use animal remains to connect with an animal spirit. talk to that spirit. make friends if both of you want to do so. profit? "what do you mean by 'remains', comet? it sounds disgusting ew." remains are anything left behind after an animal dies. this can be bones or hides (the fur and skin). i guess it's kind of gross, but it depends on your opinion on that kind of thing. circle of life and all that! when finding animal remains in the wild, please don't touch it with your bare hands; you don't know what's been crawling over it or where that animal has been before it got there! grab some gloves, and maybe do a bit of research beforehand (in some places, it's actually illegal to "harvest" certain animal remains. be safe and try to be as legal as possible, those laws are in place to protect the animals and other nature). if you're interested in "harvesting" animal remains, try the 'vulture culture' tag for more information. i personally highly recommend buying animal remains that are already prepared for human contact. oftentimes, the spirit in the remains is used to human contact then, too, and you'll have an easier time bonding with them! check the laws in your country beforehand, though, please. if you live in canada and are wondering where you can legally buy some animal remains, hmu bc I've done a lot of looking around for myself and i can give you a couple suggestions (skullstore.ca skullstore.ca skullstore.ca !!! im not sponsored by them lmao; i actually haven't even purchased from them quite yet, but their customer service is incredible when I've asked questions, and they have so many great reviews, including some reviews from friends/acquaintances of mine!)

how to actually do the thing - with animal remains:

I'll link a couple things at the end of this post that are in other people's words, and that have helped me learn and figure out how to do this whole thang. but let me try and explain it first because i love talking apparently.

step 1. figure out how "dead" the dead thing is. this is where you figure out if there's any spirit at home in the remains. oftentimes, animals will move on to whatever comes after death after they do the whole dying thing. sometimes they stick around, though, for whatever reason (sometimes they're lost and confused, and this is generally when i help them to "move on" to the OtherSide, whatever that may be). how do we do this, though? good question. let me give you some pointers. first off, you're going to want to wash your hands before handling your remains. actually, scratch that, first i want you to use some common sense and figure out whether or not the remains are safe to handle. if they're not, don't touch it! you can do this without touching it, it's just a bit more difficult if you're a beginner to this. however, you can still do it with a bit of patience. now that you're sure you can touch the animal remains, wash your hands before you handle it! it's just respectful and also better for the remains themselves. think of it like you're about to shake hands with a new person. you don't want to shake hands when your hands are all grimy, right? hopefully not. anyways, once you've washed your hands, pick up the animal remains, whatever they may be. get acquainted with the remains (not the spirit quite yet) by stroking the fur, feeling the bone, just touch it and learn your way around it without using just your eyes. if you feel like the spirit is uncomfortable with you doing this, stop doing it. try again another day if you feel like the spirit is starting to panic. once you've become better acquainted with the actual piece of animal you've got in your hands, kind of "knock on the door" of the animal remains. this is by far the most difficult part to explain. you might feel a bit silly or frustrated, but that's okay! you just kind of.... gotta figure it out. If it helps, imagine a door in your mind. Close your eyes if that feels easier or right. Imagine the door being an entrance to the animal's remains, where the spirit resides. Knock on it (don't actually hit the remains, though, that probably wouldn't be appreciated lmao). See if you feel like anything answers. Do you feel anything behind the door? Does anything answer you? Do you feel like there might be anything energetically there? Or does it just feel... empty. Like there's no energy there, like there might be a big void inside? If it feel likes there's something there, congratulations! There's most likely a spirit residing there still! If it feels like there's nothing there, the spirit has probably moved on. That's okay, though, because now you can use the remains for something: either a ritual/magic tool, or you can offer it as a home to any wandering animal spirits!

step 2. say hello to the spirit: again, sit with the remains. get to know the material remains; run your hands over it if that feels okay to do. just sit with it for a while, so that you can get used to each other's presences. if you've just completed step one, ignore all that. make sure you're in a calm and safe and comfortable space when you're going to try to say hello to the spirit. clear your mind. meditate if you need to. empty your mind out as much as you can, or at least calm yourself down so that you're at a good calm and collected blank state to meet the spirit. now: open yourself up to whatever presence might be there. there's a couple ways you can do this with visualizing if you need to visualize. ~ a) visualize a door again. knock on the door and see if anyone answers. b) visualize a cord connecting you from your head to the animal remains. ~ keep yourself open to any presence or energy or shifts you feel. it's important that you don't go into this with any expectations, or else you might start making things up without realizing it. if you notice anything, don't do anything quite yet. sit with your observations calmly and quietly. after a bit, if you can feel a spirit there, say hello! explain who you are, what your intentions are, and that you're not a danger to the spirit. help them to feel safe as they might feel a bit skittish or confused at first. some spirits will jump on the chance to talk with you, and others are a bit more shy. if you can't feel the spirit interacting with you at all, don't worry! either you need to practice spirit communication a bit more, or the spirit doesn't feel like talking quite yet. sometimes they need a bit of help. one thing that Lupa has said that really helped me out with a couple animal spirits is this: "One way to help this along is to basically create a vessel for the animal to use. Visualize the animal, whole and alive, in your mind. Start with letting it just stand there. Don’t try to make it do anything else. If the animal starts to move or speak of its own volition, let it do so at its own pace. This is the spirit taking the vessel you have created and using it as a conduit for communication." [x] if the spirit really doesn't want to talk right now, you can talk to it a bit to reassure it that you mean it no harm and what your whole deal is (aka who you are and what your intentions are). you can kind of talk to thin air if you really want (doesn't have to be verbally, but sometimes it helps if you're not very confident in your spirit communication skills). sometimes it'll help the spirit get used to you and help it feel more comfortable. sometimes the spirit is just not interested in talking, or can actually feel quite aggressive. if this happens, leave them alone lmao and try another day after being around the animal remains to help you both get used to each other's energies. sometimes the spirit will lay dormant for quite a while, or just be very shy. this happens! Bear has talked about his experiences on his blog with a few shy spirits, and I've had a spirit or two that didn't want to talk for a long while. you can carry the spirit remain with you as you go about your days (if safe to do so), and it'll help the spirit get acquainted with your energy. offer it water, a burning candle, spare energy, or some other offerings if that feels right. i feel that it's important to note that it can take days, weeks, even months for some spirits to finally communicate with you. this isn't something for those that are seeking instant gratification or other similar kind of thing. this is a practice and path that takes time and effort! frustration comes with the whole deal of spirit work in general. don't go into this expecting instant results. keep yourself open and patient as much as possible.

step 3. keep talking to it, get to know the spirit. easiest one to explain. get to know the spirit just like you would with any other spirit or human! sometimes animal spirits don't speak in words, and only give off feelings/"vibes", or other non-word communication methods. I've noticed that insects and smaller animals (i.e. rodents) often won't use words. experiment and learn and use the good ol' trial-and-error and you'll figure it all out, slowly but surely!

how to actually do the thing - without animal remains:

this is definitely the more difficult way to do it, but sometimes necessary if you don't have access to animal remains (i've been there!). the first animal spirit I ever met (and one of my best friends) was a bear cub who'd been hit and was by the side of the road. unfortunately my parents were driving and didn't want to pull over, so I wasn't able to get anywhere near it. so i flung my astral body out to it and met it that way. i did have it easy since there'd been a physical body (corpse) that I saw and could use that as a jumping off point to meeting the spirit. chances are, though, that you're not going to be able to find any animal remains around, especially in urban areas! (keep an eye out for roadkill, though, if you really want to have a physical body as a jumping off point to meeting a spirit. roadkill spirits are often very confused, skittish, and disoriented, and most of them want to just move on to the "OtherSide" of death, so sometimes you can help them along with that!) if you have no animal remains whatsoever, here's what you might do:

step 1. find a spirit. this is going to be the most difficult step probably, especially if you're just starting out with spirit work and your senses aren't very strong yet. i'm going to try to explain what to do, but to be honest? it all just comes down to skills (practice!) and luck. the best place to meet animal spirits is parks, forests, or other more "wild" (naturey) areas around you. if you're stuck in the middle of the big city with no nature areas around, try going to a park. it might not be the greatest, but they'll most likely be a couple spirits around. do you know any houses or friends that have animal remains of sorts? the most common remains i can think of and that i've seen are antlers! sometimes their will be a spirit attached to those. for instance, a friend's house has antlers lining their house (her dad is a hunter), and there's actually an entire herd of deer outside their house; it's really beautiful to walk past and energetically see! if you have a friend that has dead animal bits, see if you can sit in the same room with those remains and sense if there's anything there. if there's a house somewhere with animal remains, is there a bench nearby or somewhere you can stay a while without looking like a creep? sit there and see if you can sense animal spirits around there. if there's no animal remains around you at all, then do what I said earlier and go to a park or other naturey area. sit there. calm your mind, make sure you feel at ease. once you're as calm as you can get, let down the walls in your mind and open it up to the area around you. feel the nature surrounding you, such as the trees, the grass, any flowers, even the sky! are there people walking nearby? what does their energy feel like? perhaps there's a few birds (pigeons and crows count!) or squirrels or other critters around - what do their energies feel like? once you've gotten acquainted with your surroundings, open yourself up a bit further and reach a little farther into the energetic spaces. do you feel any unusual energies that you wouldn't expect to be there? any flashes of sudden intuition like there might be an animal spirit around you? this will feel differently than just suddenly thinking of an animal - it'll be a bit more like you know there's something there. if you're not sure if it's your imagination or not, try and send out some energetic "feelers", and check out the space around you to see if there's any unusual energies that you wouldn't expect to be there. if you can astral project/travel in this realm of existence, you can also do this to see if there's any animal spirits about! they're often on a lower vibrational existence/layer than naturally occuring nature spirits (animal spirits are natural and whatever, but like... you know what i mean hopefully lmao). fae and tree spirits that have always existed in spirit form, for example, are often of a bit higher of a vibrational frequency than spirits of animals that used to be physical. I'm not entirely sure why that is, although i have a few theories. that's another post for another time, though. back to what i was saying earlier, however, if you're going to astral project to look for animal spirits, try viewing things a bit more.... "close to home", than what you'd do when looking for fae and the like. you might not find a spirit right away, as many animals move on to whatever comes after death quite quickly. if you can't find a spirit, keep practicing your spirit sensing skills! and of course, you can always try again another day or at a different time of day.

step 2. greet the spirit. similar to step two of the other list, this is when you say hello to the spirit and introduce yourself. many spirits will be skittish, but certainly not all of them will be! if you're astral projecting, you can approach them with your energy/astral body. if you're not astral projecting, and are just feeling out the space energetically, you can approach them energetically! you might want to physically move closer to where they are, so you don't have to extend your energy too far away from your physical body, as this can often tire you out faster. if you're unsure what i mean by "approach them energetically" or you don't know how to do this, it's really quite simple once you've figured out how to! each entity (including yourself!) has a certain energy signature, a unique energetic presence in existence. when you're feeling around you for different energies, you're most likely sending out some sort of energy of your own to have a presence that is able to feel other energies (and presences). using this energetic presence of yours (i'd call this an energetic body, although it isn't your full energy body), you can move about in the world and interact with other energies. you can actually communicate with other presences using your energetic body! when you focus on your energetic body and put intention into it to say/emit a certain feeling, thought, or any other thing you might want to communicate, this will transfer through your energy into that energetic body (since all of your energy is connected). if you want to say hello to the animal spirit, simply put the intention of a friendly and safe greeting into your mind and visualize it moving into your energetic body. let me know if you need more explanation than that, and i'll hopefully be able to help you out. (also this is all hugely UPG, I haven't really seen/heard anyone saying anything similar to that, but this is what's worked for me) approach with caution and patience in mind. also make sure that you're safely warded and/or shielded, as well as any other protective measures you may want (a guardian spirit is always helpful!). it's best to approach the spirit slowly, without any sudden movements. after all, they are still animals, even in spirit form! extend a gentle energetic presence toward the animal and say hello. after this, do what feels right. trust your gut, your intuition. take cues from the spirit, and you should be fine! not all animal spirits are going to want to interact with people. if the spirit runs away, don't pursue it - treat the spirit similar to how you would treat a potential new human friend. if you ran after a potential new human friend, that'd be really creepy and invasive, so don't do that with the spirit lmao. if the spirit starts to act aggressively or something else along those lines, take the hint and back off. there will be other animal spirits you can get to know.

step 3. invite the animal to spend time with you. if you think you're getting along well with the spirit, and the spirit would be alright with it, ask if you can meet up again sometime. the spirit may not have a good sense of human time, especially since it's dead now, so you'll have to just figure out how to deal with that. i'm not going to completely spoon feed you all this, and things are going to be different with every spirit you interact with anyways! if y'all are getting to know each other pretty well or it feels right to do so, offer the spirit a place at your house. this can sound good to a lot of smaller spirits, especially, since they probably still have a little bit of that animal instinct to find a safe place! don't manipulate them into it, just be cool and normal lmao. be a good person and hopefully the spirit will be good back to you. okay i think that's everything i can think of, really. i'm getting pretty tired and spaced out after trying to explain all that, so i'm going to end the post here lol
