hi. rant about ybcpatrick at me. idk if I have any pertinent thoughts right now but I love angst so here's a thought: how much pain do you think he's in. just... constantly? like. he got sliced and diced. not just the hand, though that must be awful, but all his organs??? guy must be in agony whenever he gets enough of a breather to be aware of it

God he has to constantly be in agony. there's no way he ISNT in pain. he realistically shouldn't be alive or running around in any capacity like he is so I'm assuming there's something supernatural involved to keep him from dying. but he is definitely suffering. my personal headcanon is that while he's brainwashed he is so focused on his mission he just ignores the pain until his job is complete, which is kind of why he breaks down when he finally dies. his mission is complete. he protected the briefcase. also we do not talk about how the ybc lasts for at the very least a week and how after young volcanos none of them eat or drink water (im going to assume since they took the time to get cleaned up, Andy and pete did get something to eat or drink in between death valley and rat a tat). ESPECIALLY patrick. dude is running around for DAYS heavily almost fatally injured with no food or water. the amount of suffering he is in is probably SO severe. genuinely it's a miracle he didn't die from his injuries/condition alone in miss missing you. maybe he couldn't die until his job was complete.

Penny stardewvalley makes me so sad because she's SO sensitive to, like, basically everything you tell her (telling her that you can't stand children while two children are nearby is a pretty lousy move but -1500 friendship?? being a jerk to other characters' faces typically loses you about 50 points, and if you choose the option labeled "creepy" and ask Leah for a kiss in her 2 heart event she physically hits you and kicks you out of her house but that's only -100 friendship…) and so if you want to befriend her it's a whole lot of lying and tiptoeing around her feelings (2 hearts: George was right but saying that makes her feel bad. 6 hearts: her food sucks but even if you try to be polite about it she feels like a failure; only a bald-faced lie pleases her. 8 hearts: saying you don't want to be tied down with a family loses you a little bit of friendship and she's only happy if you say you want kids) and I can't help but think she's a product of her environment. She lives in a trailer with only her mother, who gets drunk every night and has something of a temper. Penny's like a skittish rescue animal who won’t even come out from hiding under something unless you leave her lots of treats

more lore for what ive got going on with carnival hero, for those who wanted to know why he doesnt particularly like kinger.

i like to think kinger was working on the code to remove the collars for a hefty amount of time. poor kinger tried so hard to perfect the code to release his people, but it was particularly hard for obvious reasons. he tried it so many times ; and when it finally worked, it was like a miracle. queenie, along with everyone else was overjoyed!

of course, it wasnt entirely perfect. sometimes, things go wrong when you take your excitement for granted. sacrifices get made, sometimes accidentally. the lovely king ends up forgetting about this sacrifice that was made, like he always does. the reason why shes gone fades in his mind like a bruise.

but others dont forget, nor forgive. hero never forgot this unnecessary sacrifice. he understood everything clearly after that. the collars are there for a reason. sometimes its better to be safe, to stay in ones own lane. to stay confined where you belong, where to remain unchanged is promised. for the greater good.

Hi I bring you context

Some people on Twitter dug up 7-8 year old(?) stuff abt Forever talking/flirting w underaged girls

There were 900+ tweets deleted by him to avoid him looking worse (or in his words "so they can't be misconstrued further")

The stuff came from a third party who wasn't acting on the victim's behalf (was allegedly just digging through his acc for shit bc they thought he was "sus") and a lot of tweets were translated in bad faith. Plus a lot of "USA culture is not everywhere culture" bs was being brought into the situation bc there are major differing cultural norms between places like the US and Brazil when it comes to this sorta thing. Overall a lot of the situation felt like someone just looking to be malicious towards Forever was pulling some shit.

All this in mind, I'd been under the "there's not enough credible non-malicious sourced info available" train and wanted to think better of Forever. And Twitter is notorious for dragging up old cc controversy when they start a new project, which Forever recently planned on doing. When QSMP started Cellbit experienced a similar Someone Digs Up Old Drama From The Grave thing and it was cleared up and he's since moved on

However, now we've seen that 9 ccs total (and counting?), half of which are qsmp members, have unfollowed Forever and Phil even crossbanned him (meaning banned him from every chat he mods in ie Tubbo, Tommy, etc). One of the other 9 ccs was Brunim, another Brazilian cc who as far as most qsmp enjoyers know is his best friend. With how tightly knit the qsmp members are, esp after meeting up irl so much (in fact, at least 7 are/were meeting irl within the last 2 days), I have no doubts they would not and did not make the decision to do this lightly. He was a cherished friend of theirs.

And with *that* in mind because I trust Phil's judgement, I'm no longer going to be defending or supporting Forever personally. But if more information clearing his name comes out, I'll gladly reconsider again. But knowing that 9 ccs have publicly unfollowed and/or banned Forever speaks volumes to me. We NEVER see ccs cut each other off publicly like this. And all the ccs we've seen do so are all generally trustworthy people known for not getting involved with discourse whatsoever (ie Phil and Aimsey).

oh gosh, welcome! in general i am BAD about remembering who i follow and who i don't; a great way to find who you want to follow might be to just go through the #hermitcraft tag and follow people you find funny, or, heck, if i reblog a lot of art from a certain artist you like (or not a lot, like one art even), go follow them!

while we're here, a few additional general etiquette rules (keeping in mind that like, this is tumblr, trying to claim ANYTHING is a whole-community norm is basically impossible i am claiming a norm from my specific circle of guys): do not crosstag, only tag things that are actually in your post. don't use the 'minecraft' tag, that tag is for people who like the actual game. (i mean, you can use it if you are posting about minecraft, but not if you're posting about the youtubers). it's generally considered rude to put your crit in the main tags, especially without tagging 'discourse' somewhere so it can be filtered. shipping should generally have a 'hermitshipping' tag on it for filtering purposes as well, but if something is tagged hermitshipping and you're mad about it just like, block them, they did the important part.
