WWWY fest quietly adding female fronted bands to the lineup without acknowledging the very justified backlash they received is soooo

so i was scanning tenko’s wiki page for yk research purposes and. why does it say this…

literally why. why in almost 2023 are we trying to pretend tenko isn’t a lesbian. the only “evidence” of her attraction to men is her love suite which is literally ridiculous. the love suite shouldn’t be considered canon evidence of sexuality and also is just so full of issues that it shouldn’t be considered canon at all. and it certainly doesn’t just undo the literal numerous times that tenko directly states that she likes women and not men

it feels like people will do anything to erase lesbian representation even when it’s not even good lesbian representation and it’s like. really annoying

Oshawotts are adorable little guys, I would have chosen one myself if I actually did the gym circuit when I was old enough for it.

Sobbles I'm not too sure about since I've never had the chance to personally handle one, but they seem to be very emotional so require a more patient and gentle trainer to take care of them. They are unbelievably cute as well though.

Hybrids I'm not too sure about, depends on how they happen and if it was human influenced or not. It does sound like it would be pretty interesting to look at...

Like. This isn't anywhere near the same level of exclusionary as a lot of fellow older queer folks experience and honestly it feels petty to bring up. But I had someone come at me over using the term "fellow sinners" when referencing a smut fic I'd been planning to write. And claim that I was being inconsiderate of people who had bad experiences with religion being used against them and their identities. ...When I've been one of those said people myself.

There's consideration, and then there's policing your fellow queers to a VERY concerning degree. You don't have to like the terminology someone - particularly older queers - use. By all means don't use it yourself, or if it truly bothers you unfollow and block. But let's not start eating our own tail when there's still so many people who would do far worse to us and our fellow queers than use an outdated word or phrase.

The global reaction to Aaron Bushnell’s self immolation has been very jarring. I understand how powerful and scary it is to witness such a young man set himself on fire while screaming for a free Palestine, but to now see comments like “his death will not be in vain” and “the video will haunt me forever” is very strange considering the depravity of the videos we have been seeing coming out of Gaza for 4 months. It seems like people are now using Aaron as the “perfect martyr” of Palestine that we can put all of our efforts into celebrating as if there has not been 30,000+ Palestinian martyrs that we have been begging you to acknowledge

i really hate it when players on video games are being misogynistic because a female player spoke in voice chat, or admitted her gender in text chat and people just end up coming to the conclusion that it's just "kids" speaking like this and they'll "grow out of it", or some "basement dweller still living with his mom who's a virgin" when in reality a lot of these Gamer Dude Guys are Real Fucking People. With lives. With girlfriends. With wives. Divorced. Single. They have their own apartments, jobs, cars, lives, etc. They are living well. Good social lives, even. Friends (obviously mostly, if not all, male friends). Some might still live with their parents but they are doing well and help out with the place and just happen to be shitty misogynists online (and, to some extent, real life too)

Average men can be just as shitty as the stereotypical Basement Dweller Who Still Lives With His Mom (and is a virgin, which, being a virgin isn't inherently a bad thing, nor is still living with your parents tbh, so long as you help out and help pay the bills n shit there's Nothing Wrong with it, maybe in the US but not where I live)

I really like the Ahsoka show, but for the life of me, I can't understand why Dave Filoni decided that Sabine needed to use the Force. She was such a cool and complicated character in Rebels and the fact that they shoved some Force-sensitivity in there really bothers me. She doesn't need the Force!! In Rebels, her backstory was made to compliment Ezra's. Where Ezra lost his loving parents, Sabine still had hers, the lack of love haunting her during the series. Ezra had to learn how to fight while Sabine had to learn peace. Ezra was a Jedi and Sabine was a Mandalorian.

They were supposed to be friends despite all the differences.

Now, its less of "they trust that the other one has their back and they rely on the other's skill set to cover their own weaknesses" and its more like "they both have have the access to the same skill set but one of them can barely use it so now there's added drama of one feeling inadequate."

She didn't need the Force to be cool. She was cooler without it.

Anyone else feel like those posts about “skinwalker spotted in (insert any area)” are harmful to literally everyone or is that just me.

Out of the many reels/tiktoks that pop up on my feed (much to my chagrin might I add) it’s almost always a severely sick or injured animal that’s showing some sort of distress or symptoms of whatever disease they’re suffering from.

I ALSO want to mention about how it makes me a bit uncomfortable because aren’t skinwalkers like, a part of indigenous culture, and the internet is, once again, trying to take it and spin it in a different view or something. I’m not an indigenous persons so if I have the wrong idea please someone let me know. Either way I’m not vibing with those posts.

if jake had said his "son for a son" shit out loud and spider had heard him, he would have been so beyond pissed, he would be seeing red.

spider loved his little siblings so much, neteyam included, even after they grew apart. he loved them like they were his own blood and protected them like they were too (we see a lot more of them together in the comics, where spider is the big brother without a doubt). neteyam's death most certainly rocked him hard, even if he hasn't really been able to show it (how could he? he's already going through all the shit with his dad and the RDA and their nonsense, he can't grieve around neytiri, he's just so tired after it all. he doesn't have the room or the energy to grieve yet)

so if jake had the audacity to say that to/around spider not even a few hours after he watched his little brother get shot after coming to save him, after he stared at the bullet hole in his back, after he watched him take his last breaths, after he watched the light leave his eyes, after he watched his little brother die for him; if he said that while his little brother's body lay in a pool of his own blood not even ten feet away, not even cold yet, blood still clinging to his chest, the scent of it still filling the air: he would have lost his shit.

because the disrespect for his brother is wild.

jake was an active player in spider's neglect and abuse for the last 16 years, he let it happen, he helped it happen. he tried to send spider with the humans, tried to take him away from his siblings, from the forests, from eywa to live with his foster family that didn't love him (not to mention Nash was an asswipe of epic proportions) and the RDA of all people. he had referred to spider as a stray animal since he was little. he was the reason spiders life was hell.

and after all that, years and years of putting him in shit positions and allowing him to suffer the fate of being forever unloved and uncared for (by an adult authority figure, cause I love the kids, but they don't make up for the gap left by a parent), this is what it took for jake to care about him? his little brother had to die in front of him first? he had to be traded out to fill the space of a corpse, to fill in the gap left by his little brother's death?

in canon, spider was in deep in shock with nothing to break him from it, he wasn't in the place to really think about any of it, and I'm sure we're gonna see this anger in the coming movies, but if jake had said it out loud, that would have been enough to snap spider right out of it, and he would have given jake a piece of his mind, I just know it.

Like, I know there's that bit in one of the light novels, I don't know which one and I don't exactly know how it went, where Izuku mentions how Katsuki didn't get Valentines from girls or whatever but here's the thing...

Katsuki is fucking loud.

I believe Izuku actually didn't care that Katsuki got any gifts from girls or not. Just more shocked that he didn't.

But how he found out was that Katsuki was talking with some other kids and brought up gifts or whatever and Katsuki, being Katsuki, loudly proclaimed that he didn't get gifts and doesn't want any and Izuku just so happen to have heard that walking pass.

They went to a school where their fucking teacher thought it was necessary to bring up Izuku's business to the entire class and he got laughed at.

Maybe it's just me, but the whole "Izuku knows everything about Katsuki because he follows him everywhere like a shadow" just... ugh...

They were close at one point (and got better), yeah. Izuku is observant and he's more curious, mostly about quirks and heroes. And sometimes, he does speak before he thinks and gets into business he doesn't have to, but that's more for being a good person and hero.

But I do not think he's that nosy.
