I’m gonna start with the most serious one and get lighter from there, so feel free to skip the first few if you’d prefer :))

1. (CW: this is an injury story) I have one very, very fucked-up finger! I broke my left ring finger in 2018 (when I say I “broke” it, I mean it was a comminuted compound fracture, which basically means “really fucking broken”) and I had to have surgery to put the bone back together! there were some complications afterward and I ended up needing three more surgeries after that, and for most of that time my finger just kind of didn’t move (which is really inconvenient for, like, most daily activities. it’s my non-dominant hand, though, so it could have been worse). But after my last surgery and a ton of PT I can actually kind of move it! it doesn’t straighten all the way, my hand cramps up sometimes, my grip strength is pretty weak, and it def looks a little weird but honestly? that finger’s still attached and I’m pretty damn pleased w that. So if you look closely at any drawings I’ve done of myself and see a couple scars on my hand, that’s why! (also I’m sticking a picture of my old x-ray under the cut if you want to see, mostly bc I don’t usually get a chance to show off my depressingly expansive collection of hand x-rays.)

2. I play guitar! this is kind of a big deal for me, not because I’m particularly good at it (I’m not haha) but because, when I broke my finger, I pretty much had to accept that I might never play guitar again, and I’m really lucky that that ended up not being the case.

3. I write a LOT, but I post/share basically none of it bc I never finish anything, ever. like I’ve been chipping away at the same story for years and the plot is hazy at best and half the characters are barely developed, but I’ve got a ridiculous number of isolated scenes that I thought of, wrote out, and never put into context. I’m not sure what to do with them at this point so they’re all just chilling in my drive for now

4. I wear a lot of friendship bracelets! I’m a summer camp counselor so they kind of just come with the territory, but I also just love them a lot!! I’ll probably never wear a wedding ring (I’m just uncomfy with anything that could lead to finger injuries, for obvious reasons) but I love the idea of wearing a bracelet or something instead! because if and when I get married it’ll be to my best friend and I am a huge fucking sap okay

5. I speak German and French! I love German a lot, and although I like French I also harbor a lot of contempt for it- I’ve been learning French for longer (I started when I was 10, I’m 21 now) so it’s kind of like the way you love a sibling and also find them unbelievably annoying, in part bc you know you’re stuck with them forever. my favorite German word is “verschlimmbessern” (to try to improve something, then end up making it worse) and my favorite French word is “efficace” (which means both “effective” and “efficient”, which makes it such an efficient word, and I just LOVE that)

Dynamite Seokjin thoughts

soooo as you know bts cb happened and I just want to get my thoughts out of my system so here goes my pressed ass: (my thoughts are a mess and so will this post be)

y’know that I was already annoyed to begin with. bts is so overhyped in my opinion which prob is caused that sometimes only bts is known around me and... i don’t like mainstream :’) and bc while they make super good music armys “only bts” agenda is not to my multistan liking.... so I apologize for being such an ass. and i still don’t know if i should be sad that I deleted most bts songs from my playlist bc imo their songs are so good hahaha

anyways: the cb came and I watched it 2h after release with my friends who are v and jk biased. tbh bc of my pettiness I didn’t watch the teasers and didn’t believe in their retro/newtro concept - altho we all know how much of a sucker I am for retro and 70s (yeah I was THAT pressed and annoyed and feel sorry).

So this def got me in the mv, also jk’s scene was SO SOOO good like... his room, the posters, his style and DID I MENTION HIS STYLE, HAIR AND VISUALS? (y’all know how hard that is for me to say but can’t deny that he’s cool ksksksks) also as usual I really vibed with hobi and rm and tae wrecked me, so I was happy for that hasn’t changed :D

in the end instead of being happy and enjoying the mv and the upbeat song... i was sad. jin didn’t have a solo scene and barely lines....again. i was so happy to see him in center position tho but no solo scene kind of fucked me up (also bc YES i love the retro concept and i was so curious what scenery he’d get - i mean barista jin come on XD). so yeah i was just mad at this point and my friends were happily vibing bc their biases fucking SLAYED (i mean THAT GREEN SUIT AHHHHHHHHHH) and then u had me who was emo. boi it was embarrassing :((( i am not proud of myself and mad at myself for ruining it for them bc the mv was so cool T.T

so yeah that bothered me and I was like “y’know what fuck bts I just.... UGH” and ignored everything pretty much (yeah I muted my twt armys even tho we’re irl friends.... that’s so sad v.v).

today I had a change of mind tho: i checked the twt trends and was like “oh the remixes are up” (side note: yesterday elfs were so smug about kyuhyun claiming genie’s top 1 spot in the charts and i was so evil happy and BOI that it NOT HEALTHY AT ALL) so anyways it was trending and when i scrolled down i found that “BTS is 7″ is also trending. apparently seokjin was cut out from the edm remix (hobi too?) and seeing ppl being pressed and mad at bighit somehoe hit me (hahaha). I listened to the edm remix and.... boi the beat is GOOD and actually to my liking (bc yes dynamite is a bit too soft for me to hear often and like from the first listen). and to my suprise I didn’t search the song for seokjin or anything.. i was just VIBING and enjoying it SO SO much - it didn’t matter that he was not in the song :DDD bc the song is just that good and i want to listen to it :D (ironically I was into bts actually bc of their music and not through variety shows or looks like suju or my other bands hahahha)

then I thought about how seokjin is not in some bts stuf... just the same as heechul. I know heechul’s reasons (now) and understand that and ofc i am sad to not see him with suju.. i still accept it and still like suju and their music. regardless whether heechul is in the song (i mean i LOVE 2YA2YAO so much and boi doesn’t even have a single line!)

so maybe i should treat it the same way for seokjin. instead of being emo that he’s not as often seen as other members and has fewer opportunities and whatnot.... i still love him and bts still makes good music (I mean let’s be real from the voices rm and v do it for me not jin o.O) - y’know the other members are still amazing af and i can appreciate all 7 by now (big achievement for me here) - it’s ANNOYING to be a pressed solo stan... which i unfortunately turned one :(

my conclusion was shorter than expected but yeah... i should be happy for the jin content I get and also still enjoy the bts stuff (i mean ffs he’ll go to the military soon so I will have quite a few cb’s without his wonderful face anyway) and as I said I should be used to having a bias who’s not with his group rn.

seeing heechul and suju’s manager on omniscient manager did that for me. even the manager didn’t seen him and heechul wasn’t with his members for half a year!!!! that sounds so unbelievable but it’s the sad truth. life evolves and teh industry is shit (obv) - so why did I think that bts would be different? bighit is as greedy and money-orientated as sm. so why am I only mad at bighit and not sm? bc I just accepted it with sm and focus on the positives instead of how often they “mistreated” sb.

i should be happy for seokjin to be with bts and see him and being all smiles bc i now know how much it hurts when ur fav just... vanishes. and also bc of all the hate petals got after the dating news from every side together with the suju antis (who ofc are often armys) i saw some ugly sides of kpop. and let my opinions be based on what i saw on the internet instead of real people (side effect of the lockdown bc i know my irl army friends are not like that ..but i made them like that in my head which is AWFUL AF!!). so yeah just bc I am a sad emo stan bc my biases are having hard times.... i should cherish the others hyping theirs even more and also cherish the moments i get - bc they still are there!! i mean CENTER JIN IN DYNAMITE!!!! that’s also not smth a seokjin stan like me is used to XD and its the same as HEECHUL WAS SEEN FOR 2S IN THE 2YA2YAO MV XD
