Walkyverse : Were separated at birth to hide them from the Martians because of their genetic modification, and Sal became an edgy badass after her adoptive parents were killed by not-Martian Aliens.

Originally, it was believed that Sal was swapped with a baby from another family because she was the stronger of the twins, and therefore need to hidden more from the Martians. But their mom later reveals that that Walky is the stronger of the 2 and she sent Sal away as a red herring so the Martians would falsely believe Sal was the more dangerous one.

Walky acts like an immature goofball as a coping mechanism resulting from a repressed traumatic event during one of the many alien abductions during his childhood (spoilers here)

Jupiter Men : The Avalon twins are teen superheroes. Quintin is Gusher, with slime-based powers and uses them in innovative ways, and Jackie is Powerhouse, who transfers electricity into different kinds of super-strengths. They also have quite the troublemaking streak as inquisitive kids who are VERY eager to use their powers as they see fit: Quintin for hero and vigilante work, Jackie for convenience and party tricks. Their dynamic as a idealistic/creative brother and a realistic/witty sister is not only believable, but also fun to read, and refreshing as a duo that have their own distinct personalities and lives outside of just "twins" like some media fall into the trap of.

“Peter? Peter.” Arrio tried to catch the other boy’s gaze, but it was fixed on something behind him and far away, and his breath came in quick, desperate gasps. It was like he couldn’t see or hear Arrio at all. 

“No- No, please, Uncle Ben- I can’t- I’m sorry, Gwen, I’m so sorry-” Peter buried his face in his hands, tears rolling down and soaking into his hoodie. 

“Peter. There’s no one else here. It’s just me. Arrio. Remember?” he tried, crouching in front of him. 

“I can’t do this, not without you. I’m sorry, Gwen. Don’t go, don’t go…” Curling in tighter on himself, Peter let out a sob, and shrunk away from Arrio. “Please.”

Arrio hesitated, then reached out to touch Peter’s shoulder. The other boy flinched, and he started to pull away, but Peter’s hand shot up to grab his arm, and he froze. “Peter?” His unfocused gaze seemed to land on Arrio, and he frowned slightly, like he was confused. 

“A… Arrio?”

“Yeah. See, you remember me. The irredeemable guy who’s always annoying you to no end.” He let some irony slip into his voice, and only paused for a moment before reaching over to squeeze Peter’s hand. 

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry, I’m just- I’m a jerk, and I’m so bad at this, and I can’t even- I shouldn’t even be here, I’m gonna fail you guys just like I failed Gwen and Uncle Ben, and- and-” 

“Hey. No. Look at me.” He didn’t go on until Peter’s wide, watery eyes were fixed on him. “You’re not going to fail us, and despite what I tell you sometimes, you’re not a jerk.”

“But I- You don’t know what happened.” 

“I know that you’re a good person, Peter. And you’re a hero. I know that you tried. I know enough.” Arrio gripped his shoulders. “I know.” 

Peter stared up at him for a long moment, as if he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Then he lunged upward and into Arrio’s arms. 

His brain blanked out for a second. This was the same Peter whose every word ruffled his figurative feathers, who took every chance he got to make some remark or other that would tick Arrio off. But he was also human. And he was scared. So Arrio hugged him back, awkwardly at first, tighter when Peter practically melted into his hold.

They were best friends for years but they're drifting apart because Julia followed Kamille to the circus. They're both stuck there now and Kamille wants to be there but Julia doesn't and I wish they would talk to each other and make up :(

YES YOU GET IT!!!! i absolutely love how he´s not too mature, he´s 100% undeniably a teenager, but he´s always looking out for the twins, MAJOR protective big brother vibes frfr <3!!!! his dynamic with quintin is very clearly sibling vibes, and he was pretty adamant about *not* dating jackie, so theres hope, but its a tad early to really tell where this is going *shrug*

personally rooting for him and victoria on the basis that it´d be funny and they give off opposite vibes hehe (tho that would take a *heck* ton of character development to function lmao)
