He may not say it aloud but then again why would he when his actions were loud enough for you to understand their intentions, no matter how few and far between they might be but at least you knew that he would stand by you and keep you protected by any means necessary.

He just has a fear of loosing the one good thing in his life because of who he was; For if he were to loose you then everything he originally believed would then become truth, that it would become reality.

The fact that you were both opposites would be made apparent in everything that you did but that’s what made your relationship work when in any other circumstances it probably wouldn’t. However it only made your appreciation of the other stronger than before.

It’s not perfect, not that I’m saying it ever was, but ultimately the hardships are what made you treasure your relationship with the grumpy man even more. You didn’t try to change or ‘fix’ him because that was not your job, you’re not fixer and you knew that as much as he did and instead you -with your unwavering kindness and gentleness- had let him taken his time with getting to a level of comfortability with you where he knew he could relax beneath your touch instead of flinching away.

Love & Lore's: Autumn Sweater Event

5 + 1 (The 5 times you borrow Miyuki Kazuya’s hoodie and the 1 time he borrows yours)

A/N: Hi y'all! Super excited to post this fic for @love-and-lore and their Autumn collab event. When the theme was announced as sweaters, this idea immediately came to mind. Hoodies count as sweaters right 😅 Please note this does include a female reader and pet names (babe, sweetheart).

1. Running late to work

Monday. Most people’s least favorite day of the week. Weekends came and went faster than expected. And while Kazuya tried to get you to prep for the upcoming week during the weekend, you preferred spending your time with him and indulging in your hobbies.

It is also noted that he tried to get you to break the habit of leaving your jackets on the back of your dining room chairs. Both, however, were a moot point but soon would cause your downfall.

“Shoot I’m going to be late!” You curse under your breath as you scurry around the apartment in an effort to get your belongings together. Lunch, check. Purse, check. What am I missing? My business jacket! I have a presentation today, can’t forget that.

Checking your watch, your eyes widen in shock. Crap I have to hurry or I’ll miss my train!

Without a second thought, you grab the jacket from the back of a chair before rushing out the door, not even having enough time to wake your boyfriend up with a kiss like usual. Folding it over your purse, you rush out of the house, determined to make your train on time.

Luckily, you board the train and get to work right in the knick of time, much to your delight. However, once you settle yourself, your phone buzzes twice and you look to see a message from Kazuya including a picture.

“Good morning. If you wanted to give me something to wear, we could have talked about it. Maybe I’m not the only one who needs glasses, think you got a little mixed up.” You bypass his sleepy morning smile and your heart drops as you see him holding up your blazer. Your eyes flash down to your purse and sure enough you took his navy blue hoodie. A deep sigh escapes your body as you text back.

“I’m sorry Kazuya. Seems you’ve proven your point on being prepared for the week ahead -_-" ” With a bit of embarrassment, you ask one of your peers to borrow their blazer for your presentation.

2. Grocery shopping

Milk. Eggs. Bread. Tofu. Salmon. One by one, Kazuya and you start loading up the car with your groceries. You were more focused on how to pack up the trunk of your car until Kazuya stopped to look up at the sky, light and dark gray swirls reflecting on his glasses.

“Hmmm. We better move quickly. Looks like the rain is coming sooner than expected.”

“Say less!” The couple moves double time to pack up their items and start getting on their way home. While they’re able to get home in good time, the stormy weather was faster as the sky opened up as they parked.

“Scared of a little rain are you?” He teases as he shifts the gear into park.

“You know I’m not, I just don’t like getting wet.”

“Didn’t know my girlfriend was a cat.” Kazuya continues, causing you to narrow your eyes at him.

“Just for that I should make you bring in the groceries yourself.” You sass.

“Ah ah no need to be like that, sweetheart. I thought you loved me? What happened to doing things together?” He chuckles with a snarky grin.

“We could but not if you’ll be a jerk about it.” You pout playfully, causing him to laugh.

“You know I could bring it in myself, right?”

“I know but you know I love proving you wrong. Luckily, I’m already prepared.” Reaching past him in the back seat, you pull out one of his black hoodies. Grabbing the bottom of the hoodie, you work your body through it until it swallows you whole.

He laughs yet again, “Well alright then, partner. We’ll get a nice warm shower after this.” Both of you brace yourselves before rushing out into the rain.

3. Feeling sick

“Achoo! Achoo!” Your body seizes before relaxing again. The door to the guest room opens up and in walks Kazuya with a steaming bowl of soup. You sit up, reaching for a tissue to soothe your sniffling nose.

“Babe! You could have left it outside; I would have gotten it. I don’t want you to get sick too.” Kazuya shakes his head but it’s easy to tell he’s frowning behind his mask.

“It’ll be fine. This is just to make sure you eat some of the soup while it’s hot. I’ll be fine like this.” He assures you before setting up a tray so you can eat. Throwing your tissue away, you shift to the edge of the bed to see the biggest bowl of soup.

“Kazuya, this is a lot of soup. You don’t expect me to eat this in one go right?”

His eyes narrow before softening, “It would be ideal but eat as much as you can. It’s a family recipe.”

Your ears perk up at that, “Oh? From who?”

He grins, “From me. I got sick one time and created my miraculous soup. I was five times better the next day after eating it. All in one go might I add.”

You shake your head, “It would be from you,” but then a weak grin appears on your lips, “but if you’re sharing it with me, guess that makes me family.”

For once, you catch Miyuki off guard with that as his cheeks are a touch pink. You both had talked about marriage as a real possibility but were talking things slowly as to not rush things along. Normally, he’s the tease between the two of you but he doesn’t mind your teasing every once in a while. He chalks up this boldness to your weakened immune system.

“Yeah yeah yeah. Enough talk, time to eat. I’ll leave you to it.” He starts to go when you grab at his sleeve. He turns back around to see the prettiest pout on your lips.

“I know you have to go but for the record, I hate this. Only seeing you for a few moments here and there, it's not fair. Can’t I at least have something of yours to help me out?” Kazuya starts to tease you but just sighs instead. He’d have plenty of time to tease once you’re healed.

“Since you like hoodies so much you can have this one.” He grins before taking off his gray hoodie and handing it over. You take it happily and bring it to your face, eager to convince your nose to start working so you can at least catch a whiff of his cologne.

“Thanks Kazuya.” You smile, placing it on your lap before diving into your soup. His eyes crinkle softly before he leaves you with his soup and his hoodie.

4. Borrowing Stealing his gift

The door to the apartment opens, causing you to look around the corner from your spot on the sofa. “Hey, welcome back! How was it meeting up with Sawamura and Okumura?”

He chuckles, “It was fun. I swear Sawamura hasn’t changed at all since our time in high school. Okumura seems a lot more confident than before, surely because he had the best teacher.” Kazuya laughs, causing you to shake your head before noticing something in his hands.

“Oooh, what’s that? Is that a new hoodie I see? Red too?”

He holds it to his chest protectively, “Yes, as the amazing senpai I am, they got me a hoodie as a thank you. Also probably because I told them I’m living with a hoodie thief so you’re not allowed to touch this one.” Your face blanches, no he didn’t!

“I am not a thief! A borrower maybe but no thief!” You declare passionately, refusing to accept his slander no matter how true it was.

His eyes narrow at you skeptically, “Oh yeah? Where’s my black hoodie? What about the navy blue one?” He asks rapidly, letting you know that he’s apparently been keeping track but you’re quick to defend yourself.

“They’re all in the closet!”

And then he goes in for the kill, “On who’s side of the closet?”

You blush and look away, “That’s irrelevant.”

Kazuya laughs loudly, “Yeah that’s what I thought. Gotcha this time, sweetheart.” He walks by you with a grin as you decide to turn back to your tv show, knowing you’ve lost this time.

It isn’t until later when you’re sure that Kazuya is fast asleep, that you find the hoodie folded neatly on his side of the closet. Your hands gently pick up the hoodie and bring it to your face, admiring how soft it was. Yeah, I’ll have to take this.

In your admiration, you notice a piece of paper fall out of the front pockets. Picking it up curiously, you read the note in Kazuya’s handwriting, “Hands off my hoodie.”

Your eyes widen before scoffing at his note. Feeling crafty, you decide to switch out one of your red jackets with his new hoodie, even going so far as to put his note in one of the pockets.

Laughing evilly to yourself, you stash the hoodie in one of your drawers and slide back into bed beside Kazuya, satisfied with yourself. So much so, you don’t notice the grin he has on his face even in his “sleep”.

5. Ice cream spills

“This was a great idea! It’s always nice to get a workout in the park with you. Appreciate you taking it easy on me, babe.” You smile, deciding to catch your breath on the park bench. He smiles at you gently. Of course he wasn’t breaking a sweat but doing light workouts with you on the weekend was a nice way to spend time together.

“Of course. You did well and we passed an ice cream stand. How about I reward you for your hard work hmm?” Kazuya asks, knowing ice cream was certainly a weakness of yours. Immediately, your face lights up and before you can say the words, he smiles and heads off to the stand.

A few minutes later, he returns with two ice cream cones and hands you yours with a gentle smile. You thank him sweetly before diving in. And in the enjoyment of your ice cream, you spill some on your shirt.

“Seems you enjoyed yourself a little too much huh?” He chuckles, causing you to groan.

“Shut up.” You say playfully, before handing him your ice cream so you can remove your shirt. Luck favors the prepared it would seem and you already had a tank top underneath.

Folding up your shirt, you turn to get your ice cream from him, delighted to have your cold, sweet treat back. Unbeknownst to you, there was more than just your boyfriend's eyes on you.

Now normally, Kazuya isn’t a jealous person. He loves being able to show you off but only when he wants to.

Unfortunately, he’s too perceptive for his own good. Once, twice he noticed a few of the park joggers were enjoying the view and it wasn't nature. Tch, you heard the annoyed sound escape his lips.

“Something wrong?” You ask innocently. He hands you his ice cream and takes off his dark green hoodie.

“We were just working out. It’s not good for you to expose your body to so much air. Don’t want you getting sick again.” He says gently as he places the hoodie on your lap and takes the ice cream cones. A small smile graces your lips as you put on the hoodie.

“Thanks babe.” Cold lips press quickly against his warm cheek before going back to the ice cream. The next time the joggers pass by, he grins cockily.

“Show’s over.” Kazuya mouths to them.

1. The thief becomes the victim

Oftentimes, Kazuya has training camps all over the country to train as one does when they’re a professional athlete. While usually, you could rearrange your schedule to be close by, this was one of those times where he was going too far (aka outside of the country). This time, he would be away in America for an international training camp. So while you couldn’t be with him this time around, you both made sure to at least message or call.

It was halfway through his trip when you were able to hop on a video call with him.

“How’s the camp going?” You asked curiously, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.

“It’s going well. It’s been interesting to meet global stars and see them play. How are you doing?” He smiled, a little weary after a long day’s camp.

“I’m doing good. Work has been keeping me busy but I wish I could be with you instead. Don’t get a big head but I do miss you.” Kazuya smiles softly at that, the one true smile only reserved for you.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be back home before you know it.”

“That’s good. Still not soon enough though. That said, something weird must be going on.” You say as you shake the phone as you go to prop it up on your dresser, giving him a view of you from the waist up.

Kazuya raises an eyebrow as he sees you searching the bedroom, “What’s going on?”

“I can’t find my sky blue hoodie! I just got some workout pants that match the color perfectly and now I can’t find it. Did you see it when you were doing laundry?”

The corners of his lips attempt to straighten even though they curve up a bit, “Nope I haven’t seen it.” There’s a light tone in his voice that makes you slightly suspicious. Looking back at the camera, you see something behind him sticking out.

“Kazuya, could you move to the left for a second?” You request curiously, causing the mirth to show his eyes.

“Why? What are you after?” He asks playfully, but the second he moves an inch your eyes widen in disbelief.

“Is that my hoodie? The exact one I’m looking for?”

“Can’t be.” He easily denies. You roll your eyes and exclaim, “I know what my hoodie looks like!”

But then the reality of the situation sinks in, “Awww you miss me! It’s okay to admit it, Kazuya. I just didn’t expect you to steal my hoodie.” You sweetly tease him, making him blush a little as he tries to cover it up with a scoff.

“Of course I miss you, we do spend every day together.” You giggle, “Look at you being cute. I guess I’m happily in love with a hoodie thief of my own.”

He laughs, “Consider this payment for all the times you took my hoodies.”

“Sure sure, but I will always prefer you over your hoodies.” You claim causing him to smile.

“I sure hope so. You’ll have the real thing once I’m back home.” Kazuya promises, filling both of your hearts with warmth.

This is extremely self-indulgent, I'm not gonna lie. This man has been on my mind 24/7 recently, so I just couldn’t help but write a ton (I actually had to shorten it because it came out waaay too long)! Because I’m a fluff maniac, I made sure this was jam-packed with wholesomeness. Hope you like it!

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Kazuya is definitely not the most affectionate, at least not initially. It takes a long time for him to feel comfortable giving or receiving any sort of affection. Gentle physical touch is not something he’s used to, so he’ll tense up whenever you give him a hug or plant a kiss on his cheek. However, the longer you're together and the more you show your love for him, he'll get more comfortable and reciprocate. With Kazuya, all gestures of affection are small, simple, and given in private. He’ll frequently give you hugs or quick pecks on the forehead while you’re at home, but he’ll almost never do any of this in public. Though every so often, if you're talking to a friend or coworker of yours, he'll come up behind you and put an arm around your waist. It's subtle, but really sweet coming from Kazuya.

B = Best Friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Kazuya doesn't really have friends, aside from maybe Bruce or Anna. He intentionally keeps most people away from him, so the fact that you managed to achieve friendship status is a lucky blessing. As a best friend, you and him would be a dynamic duo. The friendship would probably start at G Corporation, with you either being an executive of some sort or one of the lab workers running tests on him. As an executive, you’d probably run into him at business meetings. As a lab worker, you’d get the pleasure of seeing him every day, checking his vitals and making sure everything ran smoothly. Either way, the two of you would end up having many conversations, becoming best friends over time. At work, you two always get straight to the point, being as productive as possible. While he still retains his grumpy nature, he'd be more casual around you, maybe even cracking jokes once in a while with his signature frown still plastered on his face. It's strange seeing him try at humor while still looking very serious, but for you, it makes it funnier. The most important thing about your friendship, however, is that both of you can rely on each other for anything. Kazuya knows that you're the only person he can shoulder his burdens with, the only one who cares deeply for him. He feels comfortable opening up to you and only you, and he wants you to feel the same with him. If you ever need anything, whether it's a cup of coffee or a shoulder to cry on, he's there for you.

C = Comfort (How do they comfort you? Are they good at it, or are they kinda awkward? How do they like to be comforted?)

If he sees you upset, his first instinct is to launch a whole bunch of questions onto you, asking you what happened and why you're upset. Kazuya is only trying to help, but the way he does so can be pretty overwhelming and difficult to handle. But this won't last long, as he'll quickly notice how distressed you are and figure out that you need comfort. He will give you the biggest hug, lay you down next to him, and hold you until you feel better. Kazuya is pretty good at comforting, unless you need some input from him. Giving advice is not his strong suit, but he’ll try his best for you. When it comes to comforting him, it can be kind of difficult. Much like affection, comfort is an alien concept to Kazuya. At first, he’ll shrug off any attempt you make, but over time, he’ll realize that sometimes even he needs a hug every once and a while. Speaking of which, hugs are the best way to comfort him. Holding him is the quickest way to make him feel better after a tough and stressful day. You don't even have to say anything. Your presence alone is comforting enough.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He'd definitely want to settle down with you at some point. After everything he's gone through, a steady, secluded life with you sounds ideal. But beware—this man has never had to cook in his life. Growing up, he's always had servants to do it for him. Even in his later years, G Corporation supplied him with food and shelter in return for his services. When he took over the company, he made enough money to hire personal chefs and dine at fancy restaurants every night. If you give him a cookbook, he might not fare too badly, but don't expect a high-quality meal. In terms of cleaning, your shared living space will be spotless. Kazuya prefers to keep his spaces neat and tidy. In his mind, a clean environment is a healthy one (not to mention Heihachi totally would've beat him for making a mess when he was a kid; he won't admit it, but the trauma is still there).

E = Ending (If they had to break up with you, how would they do it?)

He would only end things if he felt it was too dangerous to continue the relationship. Kazuya would become colder around you than usual. He wouldn't pay much attention to you, he would walk away if you try to give him affection, and whenever you ask him what's wrong, he won't answer you. Eventually, when you feel like you've reached your limit, he'll sit down with you and explain that he thinks it's best that you don't see each other anymore. He'd end it in the most blunt, stoic way possible, but deep down, it hurts him to have to do this. Kazuya loves you deeply, and he wouldn't be able to live with himself if something were to happen to you because you were with him.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Originally, marriage was something he didn’t want to consider. The thought of committing to someone was something he was averse to. But the more time he spent with you, the more it dawned on him that marriage meant much more than he’d previously imagined. It would take years for Kazuya to even think about getting married. With him, it requires a lot of time to build trust in someone, especially in a partner. But once you've completely earned his trust, he'll be ready to make a commitment.

G = Gentle (How tender are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Physically, he's as careful with you as possible. Kazuya knows he's strong, and he worries he might somehow hurt you by accident. Sometimes, you have to remind him that you're a human being and not a glass vase. Emotionally, he's hard as a rock. He's very serious and keeps his emotions under a tough, protective shell. With enough time and patience, however, Kazuya will eventually soften up and bring his walls down around you.

H = Hugs n' Cuddles (Do they like hugs/cuddles? What are they like? How often do they happen?)

He won’t like them initially, but that will change the more you expose him to it. With guidance and a whole lot of love, he’ll find that he really enjoys hugging and cuddling you! His hugs are the absolute best! Considering how tall and muscular he is, it's easy for him to engulf you into a heartfelt embrace. Plus, he's always super warm for some reason, so you get the added benefit of having your own personal heater! His cuddles are pretty much the same way. Kazuya loves it when you're lying together, and your head is resting on his chest while his arms are draped over you. One way or another, he will have his arm (or arms) wrapped around you, making you feel safe and protected. Expect hugs and cuddles to happen every evening and every night as you two fall asleep. He's very busy during the day, so when he comes home from work, all he wants to do is indulge in your presence.

I = I Love You (How quickly do they tell you they love you?)

Like with most other things, it takes years for him to tell you this. Even after he puts all of his trust in you, it's still difficult for him to vocalize his feelings. Because of this, Kazuya usually shows his love through acts of service or, later on, gift-giving and physical touch. However, he'll eventually come to the realization that words are just as important. Sometimes people just need to hear that someone cares for them. He knows he sure did. At that point, he makes a mental note to say those three words next time he sees you, and when he does, he'll pour his whole heart into it.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

Unfortunately, Kazuya can get pretty jealous, but it's not because he thinks someone else will whisk you away with some sweet words and a rose. In fact, it's the exact opposite. He's worried someone will take you and cause you pain or discomfort. He trusts you, but he doesn't trust anyone else. If he's around, he'll stand right next to you and put an arm around your waist, keeping a close eye on both you and the other person. He'll introduce himself as your significant other and will quietly attend whatever conversation you're having. If he notices any signs of discomfort from you, he'll give you a reassuring squeeze and guide you away from them. And if the other person dares to make snide remarks toward you, or even worse, lay a hand on you, they will be facing the wrath of the Mishima. The Iron Fist of Darkness does not mess around when it comes to someone harassing the love of his life. He doesn't care who they are; he will Electric Wind God Fist their heads in, if necessary.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

The nature of his kisses largely depends on his mood. If he's feeling happy, he'll give you a quick little peck. If he's feeling calm or relaxed, the kisses will be slower, longer, and sweeter. When Kazuya is angry or in a more spicy mood, they'll become sloppy and primal, fueled by passion and desire. He likes kissing you on the forehead and on the lips. The forehead is nice and easily accessible, perfect for quick pecks. Meanwhile, the lips are saved for more intimate kisses, since he feels he can show more love with lip kisses than any other type. If both of you are in a pretty spicy mood, however, he'll immediately go for the neck. But no matter what mood he’s in though, Kazuya loves it when you kiss his scars. It reminds him that you love him, even after all he’s been through.

L = Little Ones (How are they around children and what are their thoughts on them?)

Kazuya doesn't really spend time around children, nor does he have any particular thoughts on them. If he interacts with a kid, he's very indifferent and blunt about everything, no matter how the kid may act. Children are children, nothing more. They're tiny, innocent people who have a lot of life left to experience. Sometimes, kids will remind him of a fond time with his mother, or will make himself wish he'd had a regular childhood, but he'll shake all of that off quickly. All in all, he doesn't have much of an opinion on children. In terms of having children with you, that's when he starts getting emotionally conflicted. If you want to have children with him, then he wants to make you happy, but at the same time, he worries that they might end up like the last one. Kazuya hates the idea of two Jins potentially walking the Earth; he's already got his hands full with one, the last thing he needs is another.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Kazuya gets up early, since he needs to be at work for a certain time. That, and sometimes he just goes to work early because he doesn't trust most of the goons working at G Corporation. Since he likes holding you while you sleep, he makes sure you're awake before he has to get up. He'd feel bad about moving you off of him while you were still asleep, especially if that caused you to have a rude awakening. So, to keep you as peaceful as possible, Kazuya will wake you up by giving you a kiss on the forehead, and if that doesn't work, he'll kiss your lips. It wakes you up just enough to shuffle yourself off of him, but not to the point where you couldn't fall back asleep again if you wanted to. For breakfast, he usually just makes a protein shake and leaves, but if you're up and want to cook him something, he'd deeply appreciate it. As much as Kazuya likes protein shakes, it's nice to eat something else every once in a while, especially if it's as special as a homemade meal from his lover. Make sure to feed him a lot of protein, though. Kazuya needs to retain his physique somehow.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Unless there's some sort of work event or party he has to go to, nights with Kazuya are always about unwinding and relaxing from the stress of the day. No matter what, your conversations always start with the day's events and how you two are feeling. From there, you and him will talk about whatever comes to mind, whether it be some crazy thing on the news or something as mundane as work. Once you both have eaten dinner, you'll settle down on the couch, put on the TV, and just indulge in each other's company. It's simple, but it never fails to relax you. When you guys get ready for bed, you'll cuddle up close to him as he wraps both of his arms around you. If either one has any last-minute things they want to talk about, then the other is all ears. If not, or once all has been said, you'll kiss each other goodnight and fall asleep quickly, the soothing presence of one another helping you sleep soundly.

O = Open (At what point would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or take their time with it?)

On the first couple dates, he'll reveal all of the simple stuff. What he likes, what he dislikes, what his hobbies are, all of the basics. Once you've been together for a couple months, Kazuya will start revealing some more details about himself, like his rivalry with Heihachi, experiences from the King of Iron Fist Tournament, and faint, happy memories with his mother and grandfather. These small, ordinary things will be spread periodically throughout the first few months of your relationship. After that point, he’ll stop for a little while. When it’s been a little over a year, Kazuya will randomly sit down with you one night, calmly saying there are some things he’d like to explain. He’d then proceed to spill everything. He'll tell you why he hates his father so much. He'll tell you about his adopted brother and the abuse they underwent together. He'll tell you the truth behind his lineage, about the horrifying trait that is the Devil Gene. As calmly as possible, Kazuya will unveil all of it. Well, almost all of it. There are some secrets he feels he must withhold in order to keep you safe.

P = Patience (How patient are they?)

Kazuya is not the most patient person in the world. When it comes to work, he has very little patience for mistakes, overdue tasks, or incompetence of any sort. He's cutthroat and gets straight to the point. You can't beat around the bush with him. With you, however, he's a little more forbearing. He knows and cares for you a lot more than his subordinates, so it's a little easier for him to tolerate your mistakes. If Kazuya does begin to lose patience with you, he tries his best to keep a level head. Luckily for you, you can't even tell he's impatient half the time because he looks grumpy on a regular basis.

Q = Quizzes (How much do they remember about you? Do they remember every detail or kinda forget everything?)

Kazuya has a remarkable memory. If he was able to remember stuff from before the age of five, he'll definitely remember a lot about you. When it comes to you, he remembers every detail, as well as every moment you've shared together vividly. Before, he used to hate the fact that he had such a good memory, as every traumatic event he's experienced is still crystal clear in his mind. But honestly, meeting you has changed his perspective on it. Nowadays, he couldn't be more grateful.

R = Remember (What is one of the most important moments of your relationship?)

The most important moment of your relationship was definitely when Kazuya opened up to you about the more serious topics of his past. That moment was the most truthful he'd ever been to anyone, and the most vulnerable he'd ever been in his entire life. That night pretty much sealed the deal for him when it came to whether or not he could trust you. On top of that, he gained a whole new admiration for you. Not that he didn’t admire you before, but seeing how determined you were, promising to help him out and fight alongside him, added fuel to his fire.

S = Security (How protective are they and how would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Kazuya is definitely protective, sometimes to the point where it might be a little overbearing. He'll want to be around you as much as he can, and when he can't be, he'll appoint G Corp soldiers to watch over you while he's gone. He'll want to be introduced to your friends so he knows that you hang out with people who are safe and reliable. His number one concern will be your safety, especially as long as Heihachi and Jin are alive. He means no ill intent, but there are times where you have to tell him to dial it down a bit. Once you tell him this, he'll realize that maybe he worries a little too much. Just a little, though. Kazuya doesn't want you to protect him for two reasons. First, he knows that he can protect himself and, although he finds it admirable, doesn't feel it's necessary. Second, he doesn't want you putting yourself in danger. In a dangerous situation, he'd rather you save yourself than risk your life to protect him. Kazuya would rather die knowing you're alive than live having watched you die.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, etc?)

It’s needless to say that this man will pamper you to no end. He knows your likes and dislikes like he knows the back of his hand. Dates, anniversaries, gifts, and the like would all center around things that you enjoy, or that hold significance to you. For a date, he’ll take you out to that one restaurant you loved when you were a kid and gladly let you order everything on the menu. For your anniversary, he’ll whisk you away to your favorite vacation destination. Is there something you've always wanted, but were never able to have? Kazuya will get it for you. And of course, he’d always ask for your input. If there’s somewhere specific you want to go for dinner, he’s already booked a reservation. Want to go out for a scenic drive? Hop in the car, sweetheart, it’s already warmed up for you. Screw it, he doesn’t care if that giant teddy bear in the store display is 300 bucks, he’ll still get it because of the way your eyes lit up when you saw it. There isn’t a thing he wouldn’t do to keep you happy, especially after all you’ve done for him. In his mind, you deserve it.

U = Ugly (What are some bad habits of theirs?)

He has a bad habit of closing himself off. It's difficult to communicate with him because he just can't get himself to open up sometimes. It's like his default setting is to hold everything in and keep others from seeing it. Also, Kazuya has trusted you with a lot of his secrets, but there are times where you can't shake the feeling that there's something else he hasn't told you...

V = Values (What do they value in a partner?)

Kazuya values someone who is kind and patient, but also strong-willed and determined. Someone like this would earn his respect quickly, as very few have a balanced mix of these traits. All of these remind him of his mother, who was a bright spot for him amidst some horrible times. Kindness and patience weren’t shown to him much growing up, so when it was, it was deeply appreciated. Kazuya may seem apathetic, but deep down, forbearance and tenderness are never taken for granted. More often than not, someone with strong will and determination is loyal to whatever or whoever they believe in. It’s reassuring to know that someone has your back, especially when everyone who’s supposed to be close to you is actually out to tear you to pieces.

W = Wedding (How are they on the big day? How do they help plan it out? Are they emotional or stoic?)

On the outside, Kazuya would be his usual stern self. But on the inside, he'd be freaking out. Like holy hell, this is actually happening. He can't believe it. Kazuya will help with everything he can. Every part of a relationship is a team effort, and weddings are no different. He wants to shoulder the responsibility as much as he can and will ask for your input to make it perfect for both of you. Throughout the ceremony, Kazuya looks pretty composed on the outside. But on the inside, he is barely holding himself together. The sight of you alone has him weak in the knees.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them)

If you fall asleep on him, he'll gently scoop you up into his arms and carry you to bed. Sometimes, he’ll secretly hope that you fall asleep on him just so he can carry you. Other times, he’ll just do it regardless of whether you’re awake or not, and he won’t take no for an answer.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they can't stand, both in a partner and in general?)

He can't stand anyone who is oblivious and can't follow simple directions. His patience is not the greatest, so he'd get irritated easily with someone like that. He also can't stand whining. It's like nails on a chalkboard to him.

Z = Zzz (What are some sleep habits of theirs?)

Kazuya does not move at all when he sleeps. If you weren’t lying right next to him, you’d think he was dead. When he lies down, he always stays on his back and keeps his arms around you. Once he falls asleep, he stays exactly like that for the rest of the night. He doesn't snore, he doesn't talk in his sleep, he doesn't do anything. He just lays there until morning comes. He's a moderate sleeper, heavy enough so that he doesn't jolt at the slightest noise but light enough to awaken if you shake him.

Shouko is kinda discreet with her crush, she is already a little shy so it isn't too noticible when she gets shy with her crush, but you can tell since she gets more blushy and a little clingy, relying more in them

Who is more probable to notice her crush is her sister, Yuzuru, and she will be really supportive on this (unless she doesn't know you yet or you are a bad person) and she will cheer for one of you confess your love already! (because she will notice your crush too)

Shouko had already try to express her feelings for you, she even try it saying it directly with her own voice, but she failed, either because her nervous make her words even more incomprehensible or because she back off for her shyness and doesn't say anything at the end

The moment you say to her that you wanted to talk or that you have something to tell her she start getting nervous, did she did something? did she made you upset? And if she notice that you are nervous too (since confessing to someone isn't exactly easy) she gets even more nervous

When you finally tell her (either with sign language or writing down) she freeze, she is in shook because she expected everything except this (actually she hoped this but quickly brush it off out of embarrasment), she will ask you to repeat it or will read it again (actually a hundred times) because she can just believed it

Her mind is a mess, her heart is beating so fast between anxiety and excitment and her cheeks are so red, she is looking everywhere becouse she can't bring herself to look at you, she can't think properly and neither even form a sentence. She is just so happy, excitment is flooding her whole being that she feels like she may explode, it took her a while but at the end she finally manage to express her feelings too

If you take her reaction as a rejection or start telling that she doesn't have to go out with you or answer right now she panic, she doesn't want you to feel rejected, is just that Shouko is used to feel like a burden for everyone or being treated badly, so having someone who loves her this much is a little overwhelming for her

If you did it shyly she will find it rather cute while remembering it, but in case you confessed with confidence that make her all flustered

Also, it could be the case that you confess with a love letter, if that is the case she will be all flustered while reading it, she still get overwhelmed with excitment but she will ask you shyly if is true that you love her, she fear that is just a cruel joke

Yuzuru Nishimiya

It doesn't take her long to undestand her feelings towards you, she gets a little shy with them since she doesn't like talking about feelings too much. Still, she show them by spending time a lot of time with you, even if that means not doing anything especial together, and you are one of the few persons she let see her vulnerable side, that side that suffer for all what happen with her family

Yuzuru is really observant so she probably have think that you may have a crush in her too, but she just brush it off since she doesn't want to seem egocentric, also she isn't exactly planning in confess, she value you a lot and just being with you is enough for her right now

When you go to her wanting to talk she doesn't think much of it, maybe you just need help with something, but if she notice that you are nervous she will tease you a little (there is a chance that she ask you if you are going to confess teasingly)

And when you confess your feelings to her she get shocked not knowing how to react, she already had think of the posibility of you liking her but she didn't expect that you will actually confess to her. She doesn't know what to do or what to say, her mind is blank and the only thing there is you

The more words of love you say towards her the more flustered she get, she wants to stop you from saying such embarrasing and cheesy things, but she just can't

If you do it shyly, with a blush in your cheeks she can't help but think on how cute you are or how bad she wants take a picture of you to preserve this moment, and those thoughts just make her feel even more embarased. In the other hand if you do it with confidence it flattered her a lot, it intimidate her but at the same time give her a big sense of security

At the end she will shyly admit that she feels the same about you while looking away, she never liked talking about deeply feelings, but with you is okay

Although, If you do it with a love letter she still finds herself all flustered and excited, but now she has an advantage because she will take a little while to calm herself before answering you, and will tease you for it after confessing her feeling too

Normally, he would be excited about it. But a part of him couldn’t muster all the enthusiasm that he would normally have in the past. 

“What got your panties in a bunch?” Kuramochi teased, noticing the catcher’s sour expression which got worse as soon as the bus from Yakushi came into view. 

“Just thinking how challenging this match is going to be,” Miyuki replied absentmindedly. 

“Usually that kind of stuff excites you,” the shortstop pointed out.

“Don’t you see me bursting with excitement?” Miyuki deadpanned. 

“You look just peachy,” Kuramochi scoffed, obviously not buying what Miyuki was saying. He noticed that his expression darkened as soon as Sanada was coming out of the bus. He was laughing with Raichi and the other players. 

“Where is y/n-chan?” the catcher asked, looking around for his girlfriend. 

Kuramochi blinked twice in confusion and then smirked when he put two and two together. “Don’t tell me that this is about marking your territory.” 

Miyuki turned to him. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” 

The shortstop narrowed his eyes at the catcher. “You’re jealous.” 

Miyuki scoffed. “Why would I be jealous?” he crossed his arms across his chest. “Jealousy is just petty. Just because I don’t like how Sanada talks to y/n-chan everytime he sees her, or how she laughs at his horrible jokes, doesn’t mean I’m jealous,” he said with venom dripping from his tone.

“Good. We need our captain with his head in the game,” y/n teased.

It’s gorgeous, and it’s obvious he had it made just for you. Under the chandelier lights, the diamonds shine bright at his hand. Now that he thought about it, Miyuki was alone the entire night. Normally, the grounds were scattered with members of the team either training or plain messing around. He hadn’t seen any of his teammates for some time now. After practice, everyone up and vanished.

Normally, Miyuki would take a moment and relish in the silence. The star-dotted sky and orange leaved-trees, the cold breeze nipping at his nose and the flickering of a light post.

But then again, this wasn’t normal. Where the hell was everyone? The catcher peered around at the doors to each room as he neared the stairs that led up to the second floor. He felt like a dog, perking his ears to catch even the slightest sound of laughter or conversation. Miyuki’s frown deepened while his heart began to race. The cool, calm and collected Miyuki Kazuya was nervous. Letting out a harsh puff of air, he raced up the steps and to his room, fumbling for his key to unlock it.

He turned the cold knob, slowly pushing open the door. It was dark inside so he moved his hand towards the light switch. As he flicked his light on, he was met with a sight.

“Happy birthday!”

Cramped in his room was his team. With big smiles and little space, they cheered.

Miyuki felt a slight smile take over his frown, his pink cheeks deepening and a fuzzy feeling replacing his racing heart. He hadn’t expected them to remember it was his birthday.

Sawamura ran towards him with blazing eyes and a cartoonish grin. Trailing behind the pitcher, you carried a small gift in your hand.

“Happy birthday, Miyuki! How old are you now, 30?” Sawamura laughed loudly, hands proudly on his hips. The first year tossed an arm around your shoulders as you walked up, barking out another laugh.

Miyuki eyed you along with your present, “A gift? For me?” he smirked, though the warmth in his eyes betrayed his snarky expression.

Your eyes rolled as you tossed it to him, allowing him enough time to catch it in his hand. “Happy birthday, tanuki,” you huffed. The arm around your shoulder tightened as Sawamura shook with laughter, “Ha! Yeah, tanuki!”

You giggled as Sawamura went on— well that is until a knee sent him flying.

Kuramochi grinned at the first year now sitting on the ground, “Watch it, idiot.”

Miyuki watched the interaction then looked back to you. Fondly, he flicked your forehead, “Thanks.”

You rolled your eyes again before motioning for him to open his gift which was so finely wrapped with baseball-patterned paper.

He tore the wrapping and revealed a pack of baseball cards. The catcher grinned as he read over the cover before giving you a brighter smile.

“It was this or a stupid shirt that Mochi saw at the mall,” you snorted, rocking on the balls of your feet.

Kuramochi elbowed your side, “Hey! It was not stupid. It would’ve been sentimental and sweet,” he grumbled.

It would not, in fact, have been sentimental or sweet. The shirt had a corny print from some show that Jun and Sawamura watched, and you knew that Miyuki would’ve rather taken a ball to the face than wear it out in public. Personally, you like to think that you saved the birthday boy.

Suddenly, you found yourself squeezed next to Kuramochi. Miyuki wrapped his arms around the both of you, his chin resting on your shoulder. “Thanks, you guys.”

I have to admit that i'm a little bit of a crybaby, but I don't cry in front of others

I have been thinking on this for a while to be able to write it because I got too interested in it 🤠 hope you like it!

Naoko Kirino

Naoko is super affectionate and really clingy to her partner, she loves spending time with them, so if you had been sad lately she will notice it imediatly

And when she does she will ask you right away, she ask "is everything alright?" for once, and "are you sure?" for twice, if you decide to don't tell her the she will just let it be and continue with her cheerful attitude, but she keep a close eye on you

When she sees you crying, either she finds you crying or you start crying while hanging out with her, she start worring for you, and worring a lot

The first thing she do is ask you a lot of things, what happen? why are you crying? are you injured? does it hurt? did someone made something to you that make you cry?

You wil have to make her stop or else you aren't going to be able to even answer her questions (saying something or just taking her hand will help), but if she just make you cry harder she will shut up after deeply apologize and hug you

After you make her calm down she goes in full comfort mode, holding you close, pating your head softly and give you some butterfly kisses while you vent about whatever made you cry, and if you don't want to talk about it now its fine (just promise to tell her later)

Also, she will for sure take this opportunity to baby you a little (specially if you normally don't let her do it), holding you close until you feel better, wipping your tears away with her sleeve while she reasure you with a sweet and soft voice that everything will be fine, no matter what was the reason you were crying for (and she will be pinching your cheeks for a while after you calm down)

Also, her reaction may vary somewhat depending on what was the reason of you crying

If is out of stress or frustration then she won't ask more and just let you vent all you need, hearing all you have to say, and even if you are complaining about something/someone she start insulting it too, just let it out she isn't going to judge you

If is out of pain she will panic a little, she doesn't have much medical knowledge so she may not be the best to help you with an injured, but she offer to carry you to the infirmary and on your way she offer you a lot of things she think it would make you feel better, like going on a date when you get better, maybe you two can go to eat your favorite food or see your favorites movies

If is out of sadness then is when she go in full comfort mode, in this case she will like to know exactly what cause you to cry, but she can wait until you feel better to talk about it if you want, also is in this case when she get extra cuddly and affectionate (if that is even posible) to comfort you, not letting you go until you feel better (and even so she prefer to cuddle you a little longer)

If she was the one who make you cry she will deeply apologize (she even knelt down) and offer to make it up for you, she is overeacting but it depend in how much she upset you, the more she made sad/upset you the most dramatic her apology is. But if was someone else who made you cry then she will get more protective over you, specially when she knows that person is near by, and whenever she sees them she send them a glare that could kill (unless is after Pumpkin Night because then she have no problem with directly killing them)

But if you are crying out of happines then she get a whole different reaction, she gets all bubbly and can't stop giggling, also she will want to know all the details of what happened and will get extra touchy too, holding your hands or hugging you. If she was the one who made you cry of happines then she will be extremely happy, she can't contain herself and probably will brag about it with whoever is up to hear her (will probably bother Kazuya with it a whole week)

Kazuya Makino

He isn't exactly the clingy type, but he is more introvert and doesn't have much friends (aside from Naoko), besides he loves spending time with you, so most of the time you two are together

That is why, if you start feeling more down lately he will notice it, but he doesn't want to force you to talk, so for a while he didn't say anything, even when Naoko ask him about it since she notice it too (and have to stop her from asking you about it)

When he sees you crying he start panicing thinking that maybe someone have done something to you, and if you start crying when being with him he will be even more worried since he thinks he was the one who made you cry

He wants to know the reason of why you are crying but he doesn't want to be rude, so he take you from the shoulders gently but firm, and ask you what happen while looking at you right in the eyes, worry is marked all over his face

To comfort you he will hug you tightly and pet your head softly, giving you some words of reasure here and there until you feel better, and if you want to talk about it he will be happy to hear whatever you have to say, he doesn't do much (or at least he feels like he isn't doing much) mainly becouse his mind is too busy with all his worries about what may have happened to you

He wants to comfort you and help you with whatever is bothering you, but he may not know how to do it or even fear that he won't be able to, that is why he prefer that you tell him what exactly made you cry. If you can't or don't feel like talking right now its okay, but he won't be calm until you tell him what happened, he will feel pretty anxious

If is out of stress or frustration then he wil offer to heard you vent about what have been happening and offer to help you with whatever you are struguling with too (for example, if is something with school work or other responsabities), also he tell you that keeping all those feelings bottle inside you isn't healthy, you can always come to him to vent

If is out of pain then he will panic even more and get more anxious, he offer you to carry you to the infirmary (if you decline he will insist until you give up and acept), and on your way he will ask you all kind of things, how it happened? where it hurts? it is a major injury or just some bruses? why didn't you ask for help earlier? it is bleeding? He won't shut up until you are treaten (and even so, he will stay pretty worried for you for a while)

When is out of sadness will be what sadden him the most, he wants to know all he can about what happened to you but he doesn't want to invade your privacy neither force you to talk, so he probably just wait and hope that you tell him, or ask you discreetly and shyly while comforting you

If he was the one who make you cry he will be so embarased about it, he doesn't like seeing you so sad/upset so he will inmediatly deeply apologize, and for a while you can see him a little distant (since he is still embarrassed for hurting you) and even avoiding eye contact

But if was someone else he will be really angry at that person, he may even try and confront that person (mainly becouse he feels so frustrated and mad at himself since he didn't do anything to help Naoko either), and, even if he didn't do it he will get really protective over you and make effords to avoid meeting that person, non of you

Although if is of happines then he will relax (he even sigh in relief) and will ask you about what happen to put you so happy, he truly wants to know (even if is something that could seems silly he won't judge you), he want to share this happines with you if you let him. And if he was the one who made you cry of happines he will be incredibly happy (he may even tear up a little) and get really blushy too

he would constantly try to get your attention whenever you were outside

during practice, whenever it was his turn to bat, he would try hitting the ball far in order to impress you but instead misses the ball again

once practice ended he would always look for you after and would try to find any way possible to spend as much time with you

whenever you guys had class together, he would grab a seat next to you to chat with you while being the loudest person in class

he would even bring you your favorite drink to class and would eat lunch with you

even during an actual game he would always try to get your attention

eijun let’s out a serious huff as he holds the baseball close to his chest. he sets his focus on making sure the ball passes the batter. he stretches his arm back, pushing all his strength into the ball but at the same time holding a light grip making the ball shoot past the batter. a ringing silence was held on that field. 

“STRIKE BATTER OUT!!��� the crowd rawrs at aces victory. an eager smile grew on eijuns face as he screams over his success. He jumps up high with his arms raised with one hand in a baseball glove. the team crowds around him, proud of his accomplishment at making the team win. a gleaming smile was lit on his face. eijun began racing to the bleachers scanning through the crowd in hopes of finding you. he squints his eyes through the boiling sunlight and finally spots you. he waved frantically at you. 

“Y/N DID YOU SEE THAT??” you chuckle over the fact that the first thing he did was look for you. 

“YES I SAW EVERYTHING!!” you yell back. his smile grew seeing you so proud of him. 

“GREAT HOB EIJUN-KUN!!” you blow a kiss at him making him grow absolutely red. he jumps up high and pretends to catch it and waves bye to you as he jogs into the dugout. eijun couldn’t wipe that smile off his face. miyuki couldn’t help but notice eijuns blushing face. 

“i see you’ve grown closer to y/n.” miyuki jokes while nudging on his shoulder. eijun grumbles as he tells him to shut up. he couldn’t help but smile again thinking about you.

miyuki kazuya 

you will be receiving non stop teasing and flirting from this boy, from small accidents you would make to completely embarrassing moments

since he’s the captain he’ll find any excuse to get your help

in the middle of you carrying three heavy boxes he’ll call you over just to talk to you

you would get completely annoyed but secretly enjoy his company

he would always ask you to do the score board during any practice game just so he could see you in the dugout

he finds it really cute seeing you in the manager uniform or wearing the manager jacket, really makes him feel like your a part of the team

he would always notice whenever you were struggling in class and would offer to tutor as an excuse to spend more time with you

you groan staring at the long list of math equations sitting in front of you. miyuki chuckles seeing how frustrated you’ve become. miyuki offered his dorm to help tutor you with math. you were sitting side by side on the carpet with a small table filled with homework and snacks scattered.

“miyuki i still don’t get it.” you turned to him with tired eyes. you felt absolutely burnt out with all these complicated equations.

“alright, how about we take a break?” a smile lit on your face as you quickly sat up.

“yes please!! i need a break.” you both climbed off the ground stretching your limbs. you both decided to get a drink from the vending machine outside of miyuki’s dorm.

“so how’s the team doing?” you ask while deciding on which soda to get. miyuki goes on about how everyone has been improving but also calling out on their weaknesses. it made you smile seeing how passionate he was about this sport. in the middle of his sharing, he paused noticing you staring at him for a while.

“what’re you looking at? my pretty face?” he giggles making you shove his face away.

“i was gonna mention something sweet but you ruined the moment.”

“no, no tell me please!” he says while tugging on your shirt. you huff has you lean against the vending machine.

“it’s just really… nice, seeing how passionate and invested you are in this sport. it’s enjoyable seeing others grow into something they love.” you take a sip of your drink avoiding his gaze. you hear him chuckle. 

“i’m actually quite grateful that you’re a manager.” you raise an eyebrow at him

“somehow you keep me going.” you start to feel heat growing on your cheeks. you lean close to him and place a gentle kiss on his cheek. his eyes grew at your sudden action. 

“alright, let's get back to studying!!” you said as you were marching back into his dorm. this left miyuki flustered standing stiff in front of the vending machine.

kuramochi youichi

he’s definitely the type to always act nonchalant around you when in reality he’s a ball of anxiety eager to be around you

whenever he noticed you carrying several boxes into the storage room, he would always grab the boxes out of your hands and helps you bring it inside

he then gets called on by the coach to stop flirting and get back to work

during lunch time he would always find his way to sit beside you while his teammates tease him from afar

he tries flirting with you but ends up messing up midway making him blush in embarrassment

you only laugh making his embarrassment slightly leave

during late night practices, he would always offer to teach you how to bat

the lights around the practice field was shining down on the team who were doing there last few swinging practices of the night. you were in the middle of collecting baseballs all around the field. you spotted the last ball sitting in the field. you pick it up and toss it in the bin in your hands.

“need some help with that?” you grew startled suddenly seeing kuramochi standing beside you.

“i think i’m g-“ he grabs the box out of your hands and starts walking toward the storage room. you noticed the seidou team putting away the equipment and heading to the locker room.

“you really don’t have to do that for me, don’t you wanna shower and head to bed?” kuramochi shrugs.

“i’d much rather spend my time with you.” you were thankful he wasn’t looking at you as you felt your face grow warm. you both reached the storage room. he helped place the box of baseballs inside and noticed the bin of baseball bats. you were just about to shut the storage room.

“hey wait…” you looked up seeing him hold up a baseball and a bat.

“wanna learn how to bat?” you see excitement grow on his face. you couldn’t help but say yes. a smile grew bright on his face as he grabbed onto your hand and guided you back to the field.

“alright, show me your stance.” you awkwardly held up the bar as you tried remembering how the team stood during a game. kuramochi began walking around you studying your stance.

“keep your legs apart and bend your knees a bit.” you did as he said. he noticed you holding the bat incorrectly.

“no, no, you’re doing it all wrong.” he stands behind you with his chest pressed against your back. he starts to wrap his arms around you with his hands over yours. he fixed your grip on the bar while lifting your arms up higher. your heart was racing feeling him pressed so close to you. he steps back to check your stance again.

“perfect, now try hitting this ball.” he tosses the ball toward you. you swing the bat as you completely miss the ball. kuramochi cackles loudly as you stare at him blankly.

“okay, try again.” he tosses the ball again, you swing the second time making you hit the ball all the way toward the gate.

“WOAH! what a hit…” he smiles brightly and jogs toward you. he lifts his hand up high for you to high-five. a smile lit on your face as your cheeks grew warm as you gave him a high-five.

“now go shower, you absolutely stink!” you shoved him toward the way to the locker room making him chuckle as he waved bye to you.
