I saw u mention agabpunk before? is there anymore info u have to elaborate on it? would it include being an agab but choosing to identify as a different agab (not just gender but AGAB bc u reject the one u had) or wanting to not have an agab or have it revealed to people? AGABpunk is a label I made up a couple months ago to match other labels like dyspunk or amatopunk. Basically going against social norms and radically accepting things.

It was just one word idea I came up with (along with AGABqueer, AntiGAB, AGABf*ck, etc) to describe people who reject being defined by something they were labeled as decades ago.

I've had a couple people say neoassignments/AGAB-rejecting terms could fit under AGAB non-conforming, and that's true! But I wanted a more specific term to describe the movement in general. The original ask (here) was less "I don't conform to the AMAB/AFAB binary" and more "I am intentionally going against that binary, I don't like the normalization of that binary, etc".

It's kind of like the difference between gender non-conforming and terms like genderpunk, genderf*ck, or gender piracy. They're much more active (loud? rebellious? queer, even? I don't know a good word for it).

People have been playing around with this concept for a very long time, with jokes and sayings like: "I was assigned trans at birth" "not amab or afab but a secret, new third thing" (slur warning ->) "I'm actually afag" "not amab/afab, I'm aPerson" "I wasn't amab or afab, I was a baby". I have heard all of those and more and figured that making neo terms was just the next level of that.

And here are some terms that you may be interested in anon:

-AGABless: not identifying with an AGAB.

-A?AB: viewing your AGAB as irrelevant, or not wanting to tell it to others.

-SAGAB: self-assigning your sex/gender.

-AXEAB: assigned xenogender at birth. The link goes to the archived assigned kenochoric at birth (AKAB) coining but if you scroll down you'll see AXEAB too.

Plus some terms I've made up:

-A_AB: assigned nothing at birth. When you think that you weren't really assigned a gender/sex at birth, you were just a baby that the doctor looked at and wrote things down for. After all, things like recorded weight (and name, if you're trans) also become practically irrelevant as you develop into a person.

-A[]AB (or A⬛︎AB): AGAB-redacted. Refusing to tell people who don't need to know your AGAB, and feeling like it's an invasive question. This especially goes for nonbinary people who are constantly being asked "but which one were you born as?".

-ÆAB: assigned gender/neogender/xenogender at birth. For anyone with a weird gender, or multiple of them, who wants to say that they've always been that gender in a nontraditional way. Kind of like MtM/FtF for binary trans people. The name has the "e" from gender and I combined it with the A. AAAB and AKAB can potentially fall under this.

-AGABvoid: kind of like AGABless and inspired by gendervoid. Why won't you tell people your AGAB? Why don't you have a connection to it? Because it's missing, that's why! You've somehow lost it. (This was written in a very joke-y way but feel free to actually use this term)

It could also be possible I guess to identify with multiple, conflicting, or all AGABs (panAGAB???). For example I know some intersex people will call themself both AMAB and AFAB but perisex people can also do that.

bonded labels or synlabels

a label for 2 or more terms that cant exist or at least would be way different without the other terms attached to it. this is not an umbrella term for anything, nor is it under any umbrella. it is a completely seperate label on its own for the way people may experience specific stuff.

multiple labels could be bonded to one label, vice versa or they could all be mutually bonded together

more info under cut! please dont forget to read if youre interested!!

examples would be but is not limited to:

being a bennetboy but not feeling bennetian or like a boy otherwise

being kenolux but not being kenochoric or luxine individually

the girl part of your boygirlhood feeling like it's overlayed ontop of your boyhood, and therefore you wouldnt be a girl if you're not a boy, but you'd still be a boy if you werent a girl

"is [x] a synlabel?"

if it feels like a synlabel to you then it is!!

"can I make synlabel terms?"

synlabel is more of like- a folder one would choose to put their labels in you know? making synlabel terms seperately would ruin their intended purpose. you can make flags for it if you really want to, however they shouldnt have unique names like "catboybel" or something. realistically it's title would be like "catboy synlabel flag". and making flags is nowhere near a requierement.

"how is it pronounced?"

pronounce it however youd like!! etymology wise it comes from 'syngrapha' meaning bond, and 'label', however you can pronounce it however it feels right to you!!

Catgirl flag

A flag for people who call themselves / identify as catgirls, or for people or characters that simply are catgirls. The top yellow-y stripes are meant to represent cat fur, and the bottom three stripes are meant to represent various ways of being a girl, regardless of if you're feminine, masculine, or whatever else.

Anyone can use this for any reason, I don't really care. Might just be a fun flag, might be a gender flag, might be used for a fictional character, it's all good. Not necessarily a queer thing and you don't need to be LGBTQ+ to use this, but I'm going to tag it with LGBTQ+ / queer / MOGAI tags anyways because a lot of people in the community identify with "catgirl" stuff.

The symbol used in the flag is edit of an emoji that some phones have.

For some info: I'm a non-passing trans boy whose mostly nonbinary + a buncha other genders that represent me, but mostly masc, neu and fem are main ones. I'm also on the aroace spectrum, non-monogamous, and a queer butch-leaning futch non/alterhuman.

I mostly go by all masculine and neutral pronouns, and I prefer not to be addressed using she/her and feminine-based pronouns. I also don't use a DNI and I just block anyone who makes me uncomfortable. I don't need tone tags but I use them for those who have trouble reading tone.

i've heard from a few people with screen readers that it is. i hate it too because i also use it for my reading disability and it helps sensorily with making my posts so i found out it was inaccessible and i've been struggling it. but i don't know any specifics, i know you can do plain-text IDs of bold text, i would just prefer to eliminate bold text from my posts but if you'd like to keep using bold text and you are capable of doing IDs for it then that would be preferable. but im in no way an expert on any of this, so i'm going to tag @kenochoric since you seem like the local "expert" on this stuff just to see if you have any input, lmk if you don't want to be tagged in stuff like this /gen

i think i might archive this sideblog and then move to a new one for liomogai stuff. there are things here i don’t really want to be associated with anymore and tbh? i’ve changed as a person since i was first introduced to the mogai community. i can’t help but feel like this blog has run its course, and it’s made me not really want to be here.

i still support and am interested in neogenders and coining and stuff, it’s just not a special interest of mine anymore. it was my special interest for 4 years - that’s a long time! but it isn’t anymore, and forcing myself to behave in the same way i have for the past 4 years is exhausting.

i don’t use 447 xenogenders anymore (yes, that’s seriously how many’s on the list). i’m just Quinn now. just Enchantica. i don’t want to use a name that was forced upon me by my abuser anymore. the only mogai things i’ve really been interested in recently are kenochoric terms, which is very bittersweet because it’s already been put to rest, the quinbian system, and spiritine, which i am planning on completely recoining with a new flag and terms. with the benefit of hindsight, i realistically should have stopped engaging with the community when all the aporangi/LGBTA Wiki drama happened. add that onto increasingly terrible mental/physical health, and it’s been a weird time.

i love this community a lot. i have been thinking about it for a while and i certainly won’t be leaving it completely - just stepping away and settling down on a new blog. i don’t regret making this account because i met so many amazing people, but most of those people have moved on now and it’s my turn to do that now. maybe i’m making this out to be something bigger than it should be, idk. but this was a really big part of my life and i care about you all a lot!!! my terms had an impact and this community had an impact on me!! but i don’t think i can carry on with this spirgender thing anymore.

After quite a while of collecting genders, we've decided to start our own coining blog to make genders that we'd like to have, or that other folks might request of us!

We are the Radioanomaly System, a collection of about 30 members who largely happen to tilt robotic. I, Star, am the host and the one who'll mainly be running the blog, though of course others will be here as well!

We are bodily adult (Over 21), non-white, and physically and mentally disabled. Gender, especially xenogender, has been a special interest for about a year now. I'm super excited to start sharing genders with you all.

Our "gender hoard" blog is @stuff-we-are.

⭐ What We Will Do ⭐

We are especially interested in xenogenders that are either hyper-specific, based on objects or characters, or experiences relating to eco memories. We'll do any genders we feel equipped to do, but these are especially of interest!

We will also do Kenochoric and Aldernic coining.

We may do 18+ genders, these will all be tagged "18+" and “NSFT” if we do any. Any minors found using these terms will be blocked from the blog and asked to stop! These will not be explicit/graphic.

We will add image descriptions to all images, so no need to reblog to add IDs, as the IDs will be on the images themselves through tumblr's "image description" feature.

Any genders relating to topics on our DNI are off the table, which I'd assume is a given!

We aren't comfortable doing genders related to age regression or littles, apologies.

We may decline genders that are heavily based in media we are unfamiliar with and don't feel we can meaningfully coin, but this will likely be a rarity!

We understand that gender, even things as specific as xenogender, isn't a choice, so even if you fall on this list you may use our coined terms. Please do not re-coin them!
