Last year I decide to participate in #FallForCostume , an Instagram daily cosplay/costuming october challenge by @redthreaded . I posted them on my Instagram stories, but decided to post them here as well~

28. Patterns

I keep all the patterns I use/draft in a big box, sorted by year. Because sometimes a new piece can be made using an older pattern with some minor adjustments. And most of my patterns are adjusted patterns from Burda and Knipmode. There are so many in just one book 👌

29. Red

For one of my first costumes, back in 2010 @wfl-art helped me dye my hair red (Wigs??? Who that? xD ) I still dye my hair red, even now

The kimono and haori patterns I use are authentic patterns by Folkwear. I love them so much

And the gingham dress is done! I tweaked the neckline a bit compared to the previous dress, and deepened the front darts, but otherwise it's still the same pattern. I also found the perfect belt for this in my closet, but was wondering what to do with the loose end since this dress doesn't have belt loops.
