knowing I’d never be someone in fashion’s word kills me like nothing else, I mean, if I imagine my own future I don’t imagine nothing more than fashion, but I do know fashion studies are expensive so, with my broken heart, I’ve already abandoned this dream but it still hurts

Between the emergence of “maskne” (a word we’d never heard of a year ago but is now a part of our daily vocabulary) and more time spent in front of screens than ever before, not to mention the sleepless nights spent doom-scrolling, you may have noticed some skin dullness and puffiness that wasn’t there…

10 Beauty Products Hailey Bieber Swears By for Flawless Skin

Not only has Hailey Bieber really been slaying it in the fashion department lately (our camera roll has too many outfit shots to count right now), but her beauty game is perpetually on point as well. Personally, I’m a little bit of a Hailey Bieber fiend, if you will, and keeping tabs on everything she’s wearing, loving and talking about has basically become my favourite pastime.

I’ve Found the Most Perfect White T-Shirt From Arket

I’ve Found the Most Perfect White T-Shirt From Arket

It might come as a surprise to some to know that my perfect white T-shirt comes from none other than high street fave Arket. But, then again, since its inception it is a brand that has aced it in the high-quality basics stakes, with premium-feel fabrics at reasonable prices. The brand’s crew neck T-shirt ticks all the boxes: it’s not see-through, it has a high neckline, boxy fit and is fitted…

Pretty Colourful Lingerie Is Trending—Here are the Best Piec

Pretty Colourful Lingerie Is Trending—Here are the Best Piec

Many a fashion or beauty journalist has talked of “little luxuries” in the past but said treats have perhaps never been quite as vital to us as they have over the past year. It’s often the small things that matter these days and when it comes to lifting our moods when getting ready each morning there are a few particular items that help: a new perfume can be ritualistic and special, a secondhand…

Makeup Artists and Celebs Swear By Oxygenetix Foundation

It turns out that celebrities such as Margot Robbie, Kourtney Kardashian, Elle Macpherson, and Ellie Goulding all use Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation (£45) to achieve a blurred, perfected finish that actually works to treat skin at the same time, minimising the risk of any breakouts.
Yes, you read that right. A heavy-duty, full-coverage foundation that won’t break you out exists. Formulated as…

I miss shopping a ton, specifically hitting up a thrift shop to dig up unique finds. I’ve had a Poshmark account for a while which I’ve scanned occasionally, but I haven’t been able to find anything cute. A part of me feels like I have a negative bias buying secondhand stuff online,, or maybe that it’s not appealing because I can’t feel the fabric and get a good idea for the fit. Anyone have tips on how to thrift online? Or have any resources for finding underrated gems?

The Checkerboard-Print Trend Is the Coolest Look of 2021

The Checkerboard-Print Trend Is the Coolest Look of 2021

Over the last few years, there’s one print trend I’ve remained entirely faithful to, almost to the point of obsession. I’m talking about gingham. I have more gingham dresses than I can count, and even my favourite bikini (oh, how I miss thee) features the wholesome cottagecore print. However, I consider it to predominately be a warm-weather print, best suited to breezy fabrications and billowing…

So… I’m in the “body types are crud” camp because I am a “pear” but I have a large bust and broad shoulders. I’m also very short.

I see all these really neat outfits buuuuut when I squeeze into them… It ain’t it, sister. I personally feel like I’m just too big. Like a square. I’m broad, thick and squatty and it seems almost like clothes aren’t really made for people like me.

I’m not fat. I’m muscular. I lift weights and I’ve always been big. I don’t have much of a torso and I feel like clothes just kinda eat up my torso as a result and then my shoulders, belly/hips, and thighs just look strained in clothes.

I have resigned myself to t shirts and jeans as a result and I just don’t understand what I’m doing so wrong lol

I tried the whole “dress for a pear shaped” thing and I still looked awkward.

It kinda is a source of insecurity for me lol I feel more masculine than I’d like. I would love to have a better style in the edgy but still feminine genre.

Has anyone else had this experience? How did you go above figuring out what was up and how to make things work for you? How do you feel now? Would you have done anything differently?

For some reason I have this terrible terrible habit where I wear the especially unflattering clothes I have when I need to do a quick errand. Always a pair of comfy jeans and sweatshirt. ( and then end up seeing people and not feeling my best )

I own several nice clothes that I can wear but for some reason I don’t do it. I always reach for the ugly jeans and sweatshirt that I don’t need to wear a “real” bra with.

It’s making me sad because I feel like I’m too self conscious to dress how I want to, but dressing like a lazy person who doesn’t care also puts down my self-esteem as well. What can I do to get out of this habit of feeling like a quick errand is a waste of time to dress nice ?

Why Ana de Armas Broke Up With Ben Affleck

Why Ana de Armas Broke Up With Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck and actress Ana de Armas have split, a source told People.
“Ben is no longer dating Ana,” the source said. “She broke it off. Their relationship was complicated. Ana doesn’t want to be Los Angeles based and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles.”
Another source told the publication that the couple made the decision together: “This is something that was mutual and…

This thread is for individual style questions that you may have, especially those that don’t warrant their own thread. We all want a diversified opinion, so feel free to answer any questions (of which you know the answer). To get the best responses, please include any relevant details such as your budget, where you live, and what stores are available to you.

Example questions:

  • Are there any basic crewneck white t-shirts that are opaque and do not have cap sleeves for <$25 available in Australia?
  • Is this dress and shoes suitable for an evening wedding with a cocktail dress code taking place in a [venue type]?
  • If I like the outfits in this [imgur album / pinterest board], what are some specific items I can look into to start dressing like that, and brands with this look that carry plus sizes?
  • Does this outfit look neater with the pants cuffed or uncuffed?

I’ve finally reached a point in life where I can spend a few thousand on a handbag and it not be a big hit to my bank account. I’ve researched and looked at every popular luxury bag that I can think of but I still can’t seem to bite the bullet.

There are some lesser known brands (Mlouye specifically) that I’ve been looking at where purses are roughly $500 for some really cool and unique bags.

Is a luxury handbag really worth it? These bags are seen everywhere, probably half of which are fakes. What’s the point? I looked at some of them in person and expected superior quality but was fairly disappointed. I don’t think the quality is much better than my current $300 Rebecca Minkoff.

What does everyone think? Is showing the status of a luxury brand better than showing my unique style with something like a Mlouye bag? Curious to see other people’s mindset on this.

I’m curious about other FFA user’s thoughts on this article. Recently I started buying 2nd hand luxury items and this article really hit on if these goods are worth their retail costs and the price of both luxury and fast fashion. I also had no idea there was such a large Chinese population in Italy. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/04/16/the-chinese-workers-who-assemble-designer-bags-in-tuscany

The Best Short Hairstyles for Women Over 50

The Best Short Hairstyles for Women Over 50

As with any hair change, it’s important to know what you’re getting yourself into before you go ahead. Of course, going short comes with the usual considerations such as whether or not your cut of choice will work with your texture and thickness. However, when it comes to going short, there are other things to consider too.
As a rule, short hair tends to have to be styled more frequently than…
