Gyomei had so many lines and so many scenes and was in so many shots! I almost cried tears of joy!

For most of this season (Swordsmith Village), I've had issues with the anime's pacing bc a lot of scenes were unnecessarily dragged out. But for the final ep I actually really like that they dragged out Tanjirou's indecision.

It really feels like, if Nezuko hadn't made the choice for him, Tanjirou really would have chosen her over the 3 swordsmen - and the countless nameless people who would die if Hantengu had survived.

The many seconds where Tanjirou looked back and forth, and back and forth again. Him staring at Nezuko and listening to her screams. Him curling over Nezuko and hunkering down.

I think the (potentially unintended) implication that Tanjirou really would've chosen Nezuko adds a sense of three dimensionality to him. At the end of the day, he's just some guy who only pushed on for this long because he wanted his sister to live well. He's kind and forgiving even to demons, but he also wants them dead in order to spare other people pain. He wants demons dead but he also just wants his sister to live. I think dragging out his indecision really upped the stakes there, I really liked it
