Thank you all for the likes reblogs and comments - I’ve loved reading your responses to the finished piece so I thought I’d show you the piece as it was in progress so you can see the full process I went through to make it happen!

Starting with - a reference picture!

I made a outline drawing from the reference picture (I did this one while I was at the cricket here you can see it in progress) 😎

Then I use a light box to transfer the outline onto my fabric. I like to embroider on a fairly fine but medium weight linen - it holds together well but has distinct holes so you don’t end up ripping through threads as you work!

Once the outline is drawn I started outlining areas with back stitch before beginning to infill with a single colour. Below you can see my progress on Oliver’s arm - I tend to change colours as I’m working to stop me getting annoyed or bored - hence the white and black and not of grey you can see having been done.

I have several different sized hoops, but this small one is my favourite as I like the tension I can get on the fabric!

I did find sewing with white on white frustrating so the shirt sleeve got left for a bit - that’s the beauty of embroidery like this though - you can move around and do different sections depending on your mood!

I really enjoyed being able to play with texture as well - I chose to use satin stitch on the sleeves and ground - using different angles to create depth.

While the flesh of Oliver’s arm and hand and Ryan’s hand I went with a more textured look using ‘random’ stitch placement. This gave me the texture and the ability to build up the shading in more detail than satin stitch would’ve allowed - giving me the more painterly look I was after.

I’ve included a picture of the back of the work so you can see is similar to the front - I live looking at the back of pieces!!

Once some of you helped me decide on the text - I added that - it’s my handwriting for this one - I wrote on paper first then transferred it the same way I did the outline of the arms!

Then I just carried on stitching, and stitching, and stitching! Sometimes at the cricket (good light!!) and sometimes at home - I brought a 6000k white light lightbulb for one of my lamps so I could continue seeing in the evenings when it got dark!

When finally finished I washed the embroidery - in Luke warm water with a tiny amount of washing up liquid- to remove the grease and sweat that would’ve transferred from my hands onto the fabric and threads - this needs removing before mounting as it will start to discolour the fabric over time!

And then I mounted the final piece so it looks like this!! - this was the first time I tried mounting anything myself and it’s not perfect (the ‘yeah’ is a bit wonky) but I’m happy with it 😎

Hopefully this is interesting! I’ve just started my second piece - the sister piece to this one and I’ll share pictures as I go - starting tomorrow with my terrible sketch!

A/N: So the beautiful @deanwinchesterswitch created the gorgeous aesthetic above as a request, and the original post can be found here. I was very inspired by this amazing piece of art, and with her permission I've written this little drabble in response to that inspiration. Thank you for this, Kym.

I'm placing this story somewhere in the 15th season, I guess. It's sometime after they realize that Chuck has been playing them all along, and that all he wants is one specific kind of ending. It sees Dean questioning everything in his life, and not sure what's real and what's Chuck. Y/N tries to help him through.

You loved Dean in the starlight. You were pretty sure the stars sparkled brighter when he was beneath them; they winked flirtatiously to get his attention. He'd turn his face up to them and they'd glow. You knew how they felt. When Dean focused his attention on you, you lit up too, bright and happy. 

But tonight had been tough. You'd shouted and raged at each other, throwing words like daggers, seeing whose aim was the most true. As usual, in matters of skill, Dean was the victor. His words sliced sharp and deep, and made you bleed. 

Even though you knew his heart - had connected it to your own with delicate stitches - his anger and desperate need to shove you away from him with both hands, often pulled the stitching loose, left your heart frayed and in danger of unraveling.

Sometimes you wanted to take scissors to them and cut him away from you for good, try to sew up the parts of you where he left holes. 

But then you'd remember the way the stars watched him, the way they would shine down on him, and gild him in gold; the way moonlight washed over his face, and made it clean and soft - shadow and light dancing over his skin the same way it moved through his soul.

Now, you walked out into the inky dark and looked for him shining in starlight, bathed by the moon. You found him stretched out on Baby's hood, and the night was kind to him, it was his home; he'd lived his whole life there. So his breathing was easy now, fresh night air filling his lungs, and his heart was open once again.

You felt his pain, his regret, in the way his eyes wouldn't settle on your face. He sat up, and the lights of nighttime shifted, showing his sadness and exhaustion. The wind whistled around you, a cloud passed over the moon, and they seemed to chastise you for disturbing their midnight prince. 

But the stars twinkled on. The lines of their movement, their path across the sky, reminded you that this man in front of you had been thrust into a destined life. He'd been told by god, by angels, all the heavenly host, even by a demon or two, that his reason for being, his sole purpose for walking in the waking world was to either die like a sacrificial lamb, or murder the boy he'd raised to a man. 

Both brothers had been raised for slaughter, and all god wanted was to see which one would be slaughtered and what other would be left behind to dissolve into darkness, and, of course, he wanted to see just how much of the world would fall with him.

It was a burden you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy, and one you actively wished you could remove from the broad shoulders of the man you'd loved for most of your life. 

Dean finally looked at you fully, his deep green eyes shadowed in the darkness, but so filled with pain that even the stars couldn't watch anymore, and let the clouds cover their face.

A sound of low thunder rumbled from the east as the first, sharp, stinging needles of cold rain pelted you both. You ran the last few steps to him, as he jumped off the hood and dragged you into his arms. His kiss was hard and determined, like he was stamping you as his, before he pulled away and yanked you into the car with him.

Your kisses turned frantic as the squeaking metal door slammed shut. Hands flew over skin and tore at clothes, ripping the sodden material off and sucking the dampness from each other's skin. 

You were both seeking pleasure from the pain, apologizing for the words you'd used to skewer each other, by whispering beautiful, warm messages of love across cold, pebbled skin. Your hands sought forgiveness with each caress and you both gave it freely as your eyes locked and you fell together into the abyss.

The storm raged around you, and through you, fast and powerful, both tempests breaking on a scream of pleasure and a fiery bolt of lightning. The ecstasy ebbed, and the thunder grumbled its last, as the stars peeked out to brighten the aftermath. 

Dean's voice was deep and gentle, imitating the retreating thunder. 

"I'm so sorry, sweetheart. I'm just…"

He sighed deeply, not able to find the words.

"Lost." You finished for him. "You're lost. Chuck is trying to force you down the only path he's left open for you, so now you're scrambling in the dark trying to avoid the road and smashing through anything you think might be an obstacle."

Dean shook his head, awe in his expression at your ability to read him and understand him so easily. "Yes." He said simply. 

You shook her head and climbed into his lap. "I'm not an obstacle Dean. I wasn't shoved in your way to make you stumble." You took his big hand in yours. "I chose to be here and walk beside you." 

You felt his uncertainty and squeezed his hand tightly. "I promise it's true, and I’ll prove it to you, because no matter what you say or do, I'm gonna stay here beside you, and we're gonna destroy Chuck together."

You rolled down the window and let the damp, cool air rush over your exposed skin, turning his chin with your fingers so he was looking out the window at the stars bobbing and weaving through the clouds. 

"We don't have to follow Chuck. Let's pick a path in the stars and follow it. They'll lead us home."

The corner of Dean's mouth lifted sardonically. "Chuck made them too."

You shook your head, not convinced. "No, mother nature is stronger than him, and the stars love you. They're on our side."

Dean laughed softly. "You're nuts, woman."

But he kissed you softly, and you felt the kernel of hope bloom in your joined hearts. 

So open your eyes and see The way our horizons meet And all of the lights will lead Into the night with me And I know these scars will bleed But both of our hearts believe All of these stars will guide us home

I have so many feelings about this fic. Some of my favorite Dean traits are lovingly explored here: empathy, compassion, protective nature, enthusiastic embrace of healthy casual sex between consenting adults, open discussion of trauma. The Reader is a bold and well-developed character herself, and the descriptions of each of their behaviors and feelings are so vivid and engaging. This is a fic I will read and re-read in the coming years.

They haven’t gotten any real focus yet and John Strider hasn’t even appeared in a fic yet but it’s notable how you write the prospit kids as being more resistant to Strider bullshit. Like, they come off as normal almost? Is that a good thing or not? Only time (and new fic updates) will tell

:3c indeed!!! is being resistant a good thing or a bad thing? is it better to adapt to your surroundings or try and resist and fight every inch of the way in the hopes of finally gaining something suitable for yourself? is there a 'better' tactic to cope with abuse or neglect?

it's so super fun to explore that give and take. rose strider ending up (debatably) the most mentally unhealthy of the strider kids but also becoming (debatably) the strongest of them all as a result. does this make her more successful than dave, since she can absolutely fight better than he is and thus is better 'suited' to play the hero? or is dave, who manages to regain his individuality and break through his (co)dependency on his brother faster, better than her? can they even be compared??? oh the traumalympics of it all...

or, another example, using a different set of messed up kids: rose lalonde vs jade lalonde.

the latter doesn't immerse herself completely in her mother's antics, which has actually heightened the sense of competition between them, even if there is no active 'war' between them like rose and her mom. rose and mom create a 'loving' '''rivalry''' of their dynamic, which gives rose an outlet and gives her a way to express her frustration towards her guardian, even if it's not translating right. jade does not. she makes a habit of venting to her friend(s) but she otherwise does not feel heard when trying to confront mom on her terms and she doesn't feel like she can do much to retaliate otherwise, because she doesn't want to play the same game her mom does. and since she isn't playing along, she's actually formed twice as many insecurities linked to her that rose has.

another really fun aspect of all this is the fact that... MAN!! i have so many thoughts just always about the way homestuck is told mostly through dialogue and pictures, so you're only able to infer so much about characters. there's a characterization tip i learned in college that everything people say (or at least most of it) is twice removed from their actual thoughts, at the very least. like, people say things that perhaps they've been thinking for days, weeks, years before the fact. and that's if they're even willing to be honest with themselves and their emotions to the people around them. something that is so great about homestuck is that people lie, they deflect, they manipulate the perspectives around them so successfully that readers don't even catch on unless it gets spelled out for them... if it gets spelled out

(jake is such a great example of this i could talk about jake forever)

switching from a comic book medium to one that uses narrative prose is so interesting because of that, because we suddenly get a window into the direct thoughts of the characters, we suddenly get the full picture that all of their dialogue leaves out.

i say this because it is a very very deliberate choice that certain killswitch characters and their arcs are only implied in dialogue vs others who have their entire psyches written out. we know rose is batshit because we spend 9+ chapters of prose in her head, reading her thoughts. we don't actually get to see how messed up dave is inside until way later when he expresses it. the jades are all jumbled up inside, but we keep missing out on it because they have such a good handle on their personalities and making themselves sound stable even when they aren't, and who knows when we'll actually get a peek inside of their heads. and like... DAMN it's so fun to think of what kym would have been liked if it started off like the other killswitch fics, where you're just subjected to dialogue that gets parsed out later. like rose strider talks like a 4channer and it's fun to imagine a world where that was in the forefront and she got a chance to seem just as normal as jade and dave strider get to at the beginning of their journeys. alas i need everyone to know she's insane... 😌🥰

Alright. So. Chapter 153 gives my theory that Dakan is the Phantom Scythes leader more fodder. At this point it's still possible it's someone else, but he sure is suspicious (maybe he's just a red herring though, as his PS sympathy is very much obvious).

So. We know that the snapdragon members that survived the royal assassination became radicalized, and turned into the PS. We know Lauren's parents, the 1st and 2nd apostle (and them being this high on the ladder probably means something) didn't agree with that radicalization, and were murdered for it. Now the question is, do I think Dakan could pull that off? Maybe. He is certainly close to Tristan, and the Leader just said that Lauren not being murdered is a part of his plan. Not being able to murder a child, but murdering your friends because you believe in the cause is rough, but not unimaginable. I think the interesting question is why, if it is him, he hasn't done anything about the queen, considering they actively hate each other. You'd think he'd be able to create opportunities. An accident. But maybe it is too risky - it might expose him, and the king, who Dakan is still trying to change for the better, might shut down fully if the PS kills his wife in addition to his father. He could have a complete breakdown and try to crack down on the PS instead of listening.

I do think he is very suspicious. Pretty sure he knows about Lauren's ability, and maybe he wants to make use of that later, and that's why she needs to stick around. Either way, it's still fresh in my mind how quiet he was in that whole tumultuous time after Lune supposedly died and Lauren came clean to him and Tristan. Not saying anything sure is a way to not speak lies.

The whole 'the PS knows Lauren is a detective' (because I just checked, and it's mentioned by the 3rd first, it's not just the Leader) does mean they have an informant in a small circle of people, which they confirm - pretty sure it's March, he said himself he was part of the NSA and fed the PS information. He is maybe possibly a Leader candidate? I think I remember he knew Lauren's parents, and he knew about the snapdragon. So he could reasonably be close enough to be a member himself. (Alternatively, it would be funny if he was the 3rd, since March is the third month of the year, and I wouldn't put that past the authors). Like Dakan, he also appears to wish for a brighter future. Like the 7th, it's unclear which team he's playing, considering it is currently looking like he's leading Kym and Will to their assassination. I think Dakan is still a stronger case, but I could see March.

I think these two are the strongest candidates, and I suspect that we'll see that oh-so-deliberately placed pen again soon, if we haven't already (I'll admit I'm too lazy to check rn, this is an opinion piece and not the corkboard/red string analysis this series deserves). I will say, I think the pen points more to March stylistically than to Dakan.

Another crack candidate for the Leader would be Dylan's dad - he was close to Lauren's parents, and I don't think we ever saw his body?

Herman is suspicious too, considering he's suggested March, but for now I'd like to stick with Lauren's assessment that he's an ass but means well for his country (then again, the Leader is likely someone who is familiar with Lauren, so who knows about the accuracy of her assessment. Heck, the whole story is about her assessments, based on truth and lies, being wrong.)

At this point I am wondering just how many apostles we will know when they finally get uncovered. Because narratively, the masks make more sense if we know who's behind them, and can get a dramatic reveal out of it. But that's something to theorize about at a later date.

I hope that illman photographer doesn't out Mick's next relationship like he did with him and Justine. I genuinely don't think we'd have known about her at all if not for him. Apart from Silverstone when she was Gina and Corinne and they were celebrating his first points with him, I don't remember ever noticing her around the paddock because they were so low-key. That photographer took photos of them together (she was dressed in a way that you'd have assumed she was with the team/crew so you wouldn't have assumed she was his girlfriend and so that she could support him but they could still be private) and then snooped for info on her and their relationship and then announced it to the world. People like him shouldn't be allowed such access in the paddock.

Kym is nothing but disrespectful when it comes to drivers private lives, their partners, and their family.

The fact that he feels the need to create YouTube videos where all he talks about is their relationships says it all really. Some of the drivers seem quite happy to talk to him, I know Pierre has in the past, but others you can tell feel quite awkward when they notice him photographing them.

Also the fact that Justine felt the need to delete her socials following his post because she got so much hate and yet he carries on snooping like it doesn't have consequences on actual real life people😒

I just think he's a lazy photographer tbh and the kind of person that gives other F1 media folk bad reps, there's some genuinely amazing artists that cover race weekends who get nowhere near the same amount of attention because they're there to cover the sport and not fuel rumours. He's honestly like those kids in high school that just had to know everything about everyone.

besties, i have some opinions about c & a (as a couple and as individuals) but im not gonna talk about it right now because theres a million different discourses, with so many points of view, about every little thing they did in the last few months in every single plataform - so theres nothing left to say at this point lol and at end of the day nobody can be sure of anything.... maybe they don't love each other and will break up soon, maybe they dont' love each other but will stay together for a long time because its convinent (look at carlos & isa 👀), maybe they do love each other and we will see a different side of their relationship at some point, maybe the do love each other but their relationship will aways seen a little strange and awkward for the public - who knows?

but i have something to say about what kym posted today. i think everyone is forgetting that this guy is a hell of an opportunist who loves to create controversy for some likes and views.

honestly I don't think she's trying to hide in those pictures. she's not dumb so she must know it would be kinda ridiculous since most people/his followers already know who she is and probably had seen photo that charlotte posted so they knew she was at silverstone.

she is clearly laughing in the pictures so i think it could be two things:

- she was joking/playing with him and these pictures were meant to be "funny".

-people has noticed that she tends to cover her face when she laughs and has a habit of running her hand over her face to brush her hair back several times (maybe this has to do with nervousness but let's not overanalyze that too) so I think the photo might have been taken in one of these moments.

but it is clear to me that he decided to use these specific photos to further increase the discussions about her wanting privacy or not (he was part of/benefiting from the discussions since the beginning) and get more attention. A lot of people is watching the video to see those photos, find out what he said about her, and leaving comments on his instagram asking about it etc.

I know you guys are gonna say "oh but she let the guy follow her private account and followed him back, she wants the attention too" and you are probably right, besties. but I doubt she is happy that kind of attention (which ends up putting her in a bad light).

Hi. School projects have eaten up all my time and I haven't posted on this account. Titanic (1997) dir. James Cameron. Needed something after watching Avatar TWoW.

Mileage (2022) created by Jennifer Wu (PM) Kym Santiana (PM) Ruyee Lu (PM) Christopher Hsueh Joy Zhou Miranda Li Nicole Taylor-Topacio Ruby Saysanasy Saul Benavides. My friend made a really awesome short film for her 3rd year! Please check it out. The music suits it so well and the story is very exciting!

Cruella (2021) dir. Craig Gillespie. I wasn't going to watch this but Josiah mentioned the same person directed I, Tonya (2017) which I thought was great. I watched with a dog that I was dogsitting.

Goodfellas (1990) dir. Martin Scorsese. A pretty good story. I think the acting in it was great as well. The slurs threw me SO off guard.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) dir. Joel Crawford. I'm so excited for Shrek 5. This was great. Love how Spiderverse is bringing about a new age of animation.

The White Lotus, Season 1 (2021). I'm only watching this for Jennifer Coolidge.

The late Aaliyah really became a futuristic pop star when “Try Again” was released.

From the video’s setting of  a hall of mirrors, and a room with a shallow pool to Romeo Must Die star, Jet-Li cameo and Timbaland’s adlibs, and Aaliyah’s signature look this music video captured millions and further pushed Aaliyah into stardom.

7. “Pass The Courvoisier Part II” by Busta Rhymes

Rapper Busta Ryhmes is known to have out-of-the-box music video concepts and “Pass the Courvoisier Part II” is one of the most memorable music videos of the early 2000s.

This music video will go down in music video history due to Mr. T, Spliff Star, Mo’Nique, Kym Whitley, and Jamie Foxx made cameo appearances in the video, which was influenced by the glorious films, Harlem Nights and Rush Hour 2.

8. “Doo Wop (That Thing)” by Lauryn Hill

The music video of “Doo-Wop” by Lauryn Hill will forever live in our hearts.

Anyone who followed 2019 and was a fan of Charles knows several things that not only Giada, but her family and friends did around this story. What would a person gain by lying about Giada's family demonizing Charles for breaking up with her, and then after a while going on social media to post stories saying they miss riding in Charles' Ferrari around Monaco? That they miss having access to the paddock with free paddock pass/vip? These things are on Giada's cousin's Instagram, if you're a big fan of her you know about it, and you guys who doesn't know can go there (don't remember his name but last name is Giustianiani, Charles and Giada follows him) and see for yourself.

Giada's mother said that she could see some perfect playboy's girls or pornstars in the paddock, in one of the first pictures Kym Ilmman posted of Charlotte.

Giada posted a story calling Charlotte a "gatta morta". She also posted a photo laughing after the 2019 Brazilian GP and put the location as "On The Top". She also liked a comment after that first photo of C&C in the car after Monza wishing her ill. She was always liking things from one of the hate pages created for Charlotte at the beginning of their relationship.She who leaked Charlotte's name in her DM group, before that no one knew who the girl was.

I'm not saying she didn't have the right to suffer or be angry, but these are some of the things SHE DID during this period of time. She helped the hate on them, but then went back and started trying to defend them because people were attacking not only Charlotte, but her family.

When people point this out, it's not because they're making it up, it's because they've lived and seen it. You'll probably keep defending Giada with all your strength, because in your head she clearly hasn't done anything wrong over the years. You literally tried to defend her after being exposed here that she already participated in some fakes giveaways, saying that since she didn't do it anymore she has changed.

Anyway, HERE I FUCKING GO AGAIN AFTER TUMBLR SILENCED MY LAST LIST 😤

So as it turns out, I forgot to add some things into the first list, so you can say I saved the best for the last (hopefully). So buckle up besties, the funniest and most mind boggling stuff is about to be listed!

After the Thursday Monaco GP soft launch, Alexa appears to be checking out her fan pages, even without being tagged

Anthoine appears to be doing the same

People that were in the Monaco GP paddock (questionable) appeared on some insta gossip pages claiming she said she “can’t take pictures with them” BUT then she proceeded to pose for a photographer that doesn’t usually post wags (I will send links when I find them besties)

Apropos photographers: can’t not include creepy Kym. In his Monaco GP video he put in a picture of Alexa but blacked out, and it is clear that she appears to be posing

Creepy Kym vol. 2: later this week people realised he is following her PRIVATE account and she is following him back. Now besties, a little thing that you might come across regarding this, as the Alexa fan crew is working almost as hard as the KP army (they are smaller in numbers but they make up for it with viciousness on anonymous asks on instagram I guess):

Not allowing Kym to follow would not mean she is angering someone in Charles’ workplace. His workplace is literally Ferrari and the track and car, and Kym is by no means any offendable part of it.

The fact that she met him doesn’t mean she has to allow him to follow her obviously private personal account and

IF she wanted to stay so private, she could just ignore his follow request as he is known social leech that uses wags to get engagement on his content (question for people who enjoy critical thinking: what if she followed him first?)

And once again, later this week and once again, the creepy Kym made appearances with no other than Alexa on pictures from Monaco GP where they appear to be deep in conversation. Definitely not weird at all…

6. The brand that created the white dress (still not over the whole day wearing eeeew nasty) is now apparently using the video of her walking in the paddock/somewhere else on their social media (probably TikTok, I don’t have it and won’t make it just to be check out the gossip) - is she already collaborating with a brand? (Fun fact, today on LeMans she seems to be wearing the same brand but other dress, and I understand having a fave brand but again, this is a bit suspicious)
