Tumblr is going to become far worse over the next couple years leaning further into targeted ads, gathering user information, and generally no longer doing the Only Things This Site Does Right, and I would like to firmly predict that all of the blame will be put on the influx of twitter refugees, instead of the plain truth that tumblr has been shifting its goals for a long time now (banner ads, leaning into and owning the "hellsite" reputation, selling merch of old tumblr memes, experimenting with ads that cover a quarter of your screen while you scroll (although those are thankfully gone now)).
The tumblr staff have shown they finally understand their community, and as the website's reputation heals, shareholders and suits are going to push for more and more money to be squeezed out of this place. This path was set in motion long ago, and I'm going to be real grumpy when the blame all gets pushed aside to just point fingers at the twitter people.

“Olivia Colman said to me once, ‘To have an extraordinary career you need to have an ordinary home life.’ I mean, she didn’t say you need to, but it helps. She has a very lovely family; she’s been with her partner since uni, she has three lovely kids, an extraordinary career and is an extraordinary person.
"There is a phrase that is rallied around the business: ‘Take your work seriously, but never yourself’. That is something that I hold onto. So much of it is about managing your life and making your life as simple as possible so that when you’re given an opportunity eventually to go and make crazy things with crazy people, you feel like you can. I think it’s about setting down roots and that is what, in my next ten years, I want to do. I think I want to lay down the foundation of some roots."

95% of modpacks have solved the making sure the mods run well and dont crash together problem :p modpacks that have "IN BETA" or something along those lines in their description may not have!
this is true, and like, inherently modded minecraft is going to be much more unstable than vanilla. this is a tradeoff we all understand; modded minecraft has much shorter development cycles for less or no pay and also most mods ARE NOT developed together, so they may have conflicting development patterns and code. you are, inherently, going to have a more unstable game if you play modded minecraft.
however if you're at least playing a reputable modpack, typically by the point you can download it as a modpack it at least has solved mod compatibility issues, even if, yes, modpacks in beta will not have solved all the crashes and glitches. but this is why we play modded minecraft with cheats on; if something goes wrong, that makes it much easier to fix it!
so yes do pay attention to whether a pack is in alpha or beta or whatever but ALSO if a pack is super unstable and crashing all the time the problem is probably also just to... play a better developed pack,

you know what’s fun to explore in a retired!dream au?
it’s dream realizing how bad he is at sex now that he’s human.
my headcanon is that dream is exceptionally good at it because he holds the collective human subconscious— he knows exactly what his lovers like, how they want to be held and kissed, etc etc., but take that away and he’s all sharp angles, sloppy kisses, and clumsy, hesitant thrusts (hello? he’s only had a handful of lovers in his 6 billion years of existence?)
now hob— that man has Experience. he’s a 600+ yr old immortal who’s had countless lovers (men & women you can’t convince me otherwise), who literally fucks around & finds out.
imagine retired (and human) dream enthusiastically fumbling with hob in bed, trying to seduce, trying to look ravishing, trying to please. he straddles hob and gazes at him with his dangerously soft, bedroom eyes, whispering filthy promises with his deep, deep voice between kissing and touching.
but somehow, his attempts to seduce fall flat and awkwardly, embarrassingly stiff. he looks so offended when he doesn’t get the reaction he’s been expecting from hob.
and hob— the bastard— purses his lips in a poor attempt to hold his laughter in. finally, he doubles over in a fit of giggles. “you’re so cute, love.”
dream pouts, unable to hide his dismay. but this look only makes hob’s heart grow fonder and he envelopes dream into his arms.
the sound of their giggles vibrates in their chests, echoing across the small bedroom. then they fall silent and gaze at each other’s eyes, their smiles lingering on their kiss-swollen lips. there’s no need for words at this moment.
they think, this is it, this is what being human must be all about.
tldr: hob and dream giggling while having bad and awkward sex mean the world to me ok
ALSO i can imagine hob being an absolute bastard & grading dream’s performance in bed like he’s grading his students’ essays.
“how did i do?” dream asks through his post-coital haze, looking up at hob with his dark, twinkling eyes.
“not bad…” hob pats dream’s head, his lips curling into a menacing smirk. “i’ll give you… 72%.”
fists pound on the pillows. dream whines an ugly whale noise against the crook of hob’s neck, “hOoooOooob…”

"Ai art isn't actually bad it's capitalism that's bad and an economic model that's based on working the most possible so you think ai is just taking away your money"
This isn't abt artists mad abt losing a few commissions on the internet this is about large numbers of artists getting their art stolen so people can make something out of THEIR stuff, that they worked for years to create, without permision. AND corporations using free software to steal instead of paying artists properly. You would think with the amount of artists that are like 'hey this is bad and harming me', as well as the whole ass Hollywood-wide strike that happened with AI usage being one of the key talking points you would understand that it's bad and should at the very least have rules put around it.
But actually artists should stop focusing on something they can try to curtail before it gets too wildly out of control and instead focus on uhhhhh dismantling the economy if they're so mad their stuff is being stolen
