“Hello, gorgeous. Come here often?”
“You could say that, my girlfriend happens to be a recurring customer”
Sliding the glasses up on her girlfriend’s nose, Lena leaned in and pecked her before offering that they called it a night, giving the hero slurring her words.

Lena’s core quivered under the intensity of the super’s irate gaze.
Subconsciously, hungry emerald eyes followed the curvature of the blonde’s left shoulder until they landed squarely on bulging bicep.
The ravenette inwardly cursed her persistent useless bisexuality.

writing prompt - kara and lenas first date goes wrong on so many levels.
@catwoman33100 thank u for this prompt, this was hilarious to visualize, hope u like
After finally, finally mustering up the courage to ask Lena out, and receiving a shy but vehement yes in return, Kara had settled on what she feels is a good and balanced plan for their first date - after she insisted that she’d take care of setting it up.
A picnic. Simple and intimate. Not at the local park downtown, no, at the regional one with a lot less foot traffic a little outside of the city. It’s scenic, with creeks and trees scattered all over - she’s actually been meaning to go check it out again after she chased down a bad guy through its landscape a couple months back. Not to mention, Kara sees the opportunity to finally showcase her food-making abilities (which are way better than her baking ones) remembering Lena saying something about how much she loves a good pasta salad. She just so happens to have a go-to recipe for that, amongst other things.
Kara gives her a time to be a ready, and a dress code (comfy-outsidey, in verbatim) revealing nothing else for the sake of a lovely, heartfelt surprise. She throws on her nicest pair of khaki shorts and a tank top/button up combo, gently arranges all the food stuffs into a cooler, checks the time and flies off to Lena’s balcony, goods in hand.
She’s already standing outside waiting for her when she lands, smiling so blindingly bright at her as she touches down. Lena’s got on similar shorts to hers, but her top is a light colored blouse that perfectly contrasts her own dark button up. The only thought that goes through her head is that Lena looks so pretty. That being said-
“You look so pretty.” Kara states wistfully, completely bypassing a proper greeting.
Lena chuckles, graciously taking the flowers. “Thank you. You don’t look too bad yourself, handsome.” She says quietly. They stand there blushing and bashful for a few moments before Lena decides to do some questioning, eyes falling on the cooler. “So, what do you have in store for me, miss Zor-el?”
Kara fawns at the use of her Kryptonian name, opening her arm that’s not carrying the cooler. “Grab on and you’ll find out.” With a raised eyebrow, Lena walks forward and wraps her arms around broad shoulders, Kara’s arm closing in around her. They’ve flown together like this a few times already to get to whatever destinations, and despite Lena’s distaste for heights, it’s a lot different for her when she’s flush against a warm, toned body. Kara takes off grinning to herself. Hopefully Lena’s impressed with this.
The first blunder happens 2 1/2 minutes into their 3 minute long flight, when they hit a patch of icy air that causes Lena to dig her nails into Kara’s back. The sensation startles her just enough to lose grip of the cooler, sending it spiraling to the ground below. The drinks, the pasta salad made with love, gone in an instant. There was even a hidden bouquet of sunflowers in there that she was gonna give to her.
“Kara, it’s okay. I’m actually glad it was the cooler and not me.” Lena tries to console her while they’re in line at her favorite sandwich place.
“But Lena, I made it for you - and, and there were flowers-“
The second blunder happens after they’ve taken their newly bought food to the park, finding a cool and secluded picnic table under a tree to set up at. Right as Lena is about to take her first bite, guess what happens? A bird. And its excrement. Perfectly placed on her sandwich.
It takes Kara a solid 5 minutes to convince her to take hers. She had a big breakfast anyway- ( a lie, she hadn’t eaten a bite of anything the whole day).
The third blunder happens when they’re walking alongside one of the creeks, and Kara spots a frog on her secret quest for wildflowers. “Oh! Oh wow! Lena, look-“ She takes a few steps toward it. “It’s a fr-“ And promptly trips over a rock and tumbles directly into the muddy stream of water before she can consciously do anything about it. So much for superpowers.
The fourth blunder comes seconds after, when Kara remembers herself and flings her body out of the water with haste, wiping mud off of her face as she accidentally bumps into a nearby tree. There’s a thud, and a buzzing sound, and then - oh. It’s a beehive.
There’s already screaming as she registers everything.
Wait, did Lena say that one time that she’s allergic?
A couple minutes later, at the DEO due to Lena’s insistence of ‘not wanting to be photographed like this’, Alex is being frantically greeted by a muddy, disheveled sister and a blotchy Luthor with still forming hives. “What the fuck happened you guys oh my god-“
“Bees. Lots of them. Antihistamines. Now.” Kara sounds like she’s hyperventilating.
“It’s a mild allergy darling, please relax.” Lena says, completely unconcerned with her own situation. “I’m going to be fine.” She pats Kara on her damp back as she heaves panicked breaths. “I didn’t think I’d need an epi-pen today-“ She adds on in a whisper.
Alex is back with the medicine within a minute and Kara is still working on her breathing. “What the hell were you guys doing to end up like this - hunting down Sasquatch?”
Kara and Lena speak at the same time. “First date.”
“WHAT-“

“I got a new hoodie today.” Kara offers up to the squad, as they sit in a cafe drinking coffee, too much coffee, and also hot chocolate with sprinkles. (Kara will let you guess which one she got.)
Lena raises her eyebrows. “Nope. Wrong.”
“How can that be wrong? She either did or she lied about it.” Alex says---suspiciously---- frowning dangerously. She can tell this is about to be sappy. Alex wishes she had the spray bottle. Alas, Kelly said that Alex isn’t allowed to use it in public.
“We got a new hoodie.” Lena leans in, a slow smirk growing onto her face. Alex groans as she falls back in her chair. “Luthor!” she whines.
“Be cuter on you anyway, babe.” Kara says softly. Alex groans even louder. Alex wishes again that she had that spray bottle, or even better, some bleach for her eyes. Kara has leaned in and began to press a kiss to her girlfriend’s lips. “This is the worst thing I’ve ever experienced.”
“You were almost drowned.” Kara pulls back to retort. “You’ve nearly died countless times. My love for Lena is not something you need to worry about.” Kara freezes. Lena freezes.
Alex’s eyes widen.
“You love me?” Asks the Luthor, her eyes wide with awed shock. It is obvious that she wasn’t expecting that.
“Of course I love you, doofus. You’re my best friend, and I would die for you. Do I love you? Sure. Yes. Definitely. Do I wish I had said it in literally any other circumstance? More than you will ever know.” Kara rambles.
It’s cut off by Lena kissing her this time.

Fall
read it here on twitter
The fall comes unexpectedly- one minute Lena's on the phone with Kara revealing sensitive information about an active defunct Luthor facility and the next, intruders are in her office, pushing her off the balcony.
Adrenaline rushes through her veins as a scream tears from her throat and she squeezes her eyes shut, helpless to the whims of gravity. Her mind races a mile a minute, terror seizing her chest and suddenly, a warm body presses against her, warmer arms catching her midflight and tugging her against a firm, solid chest.
Lena's once immovable hands wrap around the shoulders of her savior as her body trembles with fright and she buries her face against the person's neck, squeezing her eyes shut. The scent of coconut shampoo fills her senses and her heart gives a fluttering thump of recognition.
Kara? Her mind screams.
The skeptical part of her thinks this may be a trick, that she's probably already died so she slowly reopens her eyes, finding her face buried in the downy softness of blonde curls and her arms pressed against the sleek material of a super suit.
No, not Kara.
A breath shudders out of her as her eyes settle along the curve of a strong jaw, leading to rosy cheeks and soft pink lips.
Supergirl.
Lena's heart trembles. If she were braver, she'd reach out, turn the face of her savior towards her and press an appreciative kiss against her mouth.
Supergirl's arms tighten against her, a more secure hold that draws Lena's appreciation to the curve of those arms and the sleek muscles that her body lays against.
And the veil of safety that washes over her is instantaneous.
She hates flying, hates it so viscerally that if she could drive anywhere in the world she would. But there's something about the safety of this embrace that makes her understand why the hero is so trusted and  so revered.
The minute they make their way above the balcony, Supergirl's jaw tightens and she addresses the criminals in a stern commanding voice.
"Dropped something?" She asks, and there's a hint of steel in her tone that impresses Lena as Supergirl takes a deep breath and an icy blast of cold air whooshes past her pretty lips.
The criminals are sent spiraling into the walls, unconscious, and a smug smile crosses Lena's face as Supergirl descends.
“How did you know?” She asks, turning to the hero with an awed look.
“I was getting coffee with Kara Danvers when you called.” Supergirl answers, all clipped and business-like as she hovers just an inch from the floor. But then she softens and the expression on her face melds into something entirely too intimate for Lena to witness as she finally touches down on the balcony. "You're okay," she says, and it sounds both like a question and a statement meant just to reassure herself.
Lena simply nods, unsure of how to answer as her shaky feet finally touch down on the cold tiles. All of the strength flees her in an instant and Supergirl's hands shoot out to her hips before she can collapse, pulling her into her firm body.
Lena flushes, lifting her eyes to see warm intense blue staring back at her and her mouth goes dry.
"T-Thank you." She mutters, clearing her throat a little when Supergirl doesn't immediately let her go. "For saving me." She feels the need to clarify.
Supergirl smiles and it's so much better in person, the television and pictures in magazines really can't capture the essence of her striking beauty.
"Anytime." She says and it's warm and affectionate and Lena should be pulling away, hell they both should, but they aren't.
There's something so familiar about the hero, something that Lena can't quite put her finger on but she feels herself relax in the embrace, heart slowing to normal healthy levels.
And she now understands why some people worship heroes. Because Supergirl is kind and modest and she flushes prettily when Lena can't help but draw closer, staring into those eyes that she feels like she knows.
"L-Lena." Her name comes out in a breathless adorable stutter as Supergirl clears her throat in an attempt to school her features.
But it only manages to embolden Lena and she reaches out without conscious thought, long fingers splaying across reddened cheeks and thumb catching over Supergirl's soft lower lip. There's a soft gasp, one that Lena can't tell who it came from as her heart flutters,  something faint like recognition desperately teasing at the edges of her thoughts.
"I'd like to properly thank you," she murmurs and it may be their proximity, it may be the way they're still pressed together, chest to chest, but Supergirl doesn't pull away. Lena takes that as an aquescience.
She leans up, just a little, pressing the gentlest kiss to the curve of Supergirl's jaw. Supergirl inhales a sharp breath, blue eyes familiar in some way and Lena tilts her head, pressing another to her cheek.
The hero's eyes flutter, long beautiful lashes teasing against warm skin and Lena’s breath hitches when those strong arms tighten imperceptibly. A soft breath escapes her lips, brushing right against Lena’s, drawing her eyes to them and Lena leans in and kisses Supergirl.
It's just a light brushing of lips, the tenderness of it so chaste Lena's heart aches. It's a soft counterpoint to the tension in her fingers as her fists tighten in Supergirl's cape, dragging her into the heat of another kiss and then another.
Supergirl meets Lena with the same enthusiasm, warm hands splaying across her lower back and Lena sinks her hands into soft golden curls, lost in the sensations that grip at her heart.
Supergirl's kiss is open and deep and hungry with desire. Desire that thunders and burns wild against Lena's skin as if they are old, familiar lovers, as if they've been apart and haven’t seen each other in months. It makes Lena melt against her, turn into putty in the woman’s arms, blushed and breathless by the time they part again.
Lena's the one to pull away, Supergirl chasing her lips like a warm golden puppy and she lets out a ragged breath, dragging her thumb across Supergirl's lower lip where her lipstick remains, just trying to keep her at a safe distance.
Supergirl's eyes are still closed, the faint trace of a dazed smile tugging at the corners of her now reddened lips. Her cheeks are equally red and Lena can't help the pride that swells in her chest at the fact that it's there because of her. But a thought niggles at her that draws a comparison to Kara's reddened cheeks, and Lena thinks she’s seen this expression before.
"I - I should go." Supergirl stutters, finally reopening her devastatingly blue eyes and Lena smiles, endeared. "I'm glad you're safe, Miss Luthor."
Lena watches her lift off from the balcony in a daze, watches the regal flap of her cape as she turns and soars off into the distance. It’s only when Supergirl’s left that she remembers that she hadn’t given her or Kara the information about Cadmus and the missing aliens like she’d initially planned.

Request: omega kara (with or with out powers) gets taken by someone who hates her alpha
Ship:supercorp
The whiskey burned on Lena’s throat, the usual suave touch a harsh reminder of her failure. The crystal cup trembled on the glass desk of her office, and it took her a moment to realize she was the one shaking.
"Mrs. Luthor?" Jess’s voice followed the soft knock. Lena didn’t respond at first, taking another sip of the Glenmorangie. "You asked to be informed of any developments?" Jess added, and Lena was on her feet in a second.
"Did the D.E.O. find her?" She asked while throwing the door open, and her secretary barely flinched at the half-drunk move.
No one blamed Lena for any of this; she was already excellent at blaming herself.
"We got an update from the DEO, yes," Jess said, checking the tablet in her hands, "it seems they have located Supergirl."
Jess was part of the small, selective group of people who knew the true identity of Lena’s wife. "Is she okay? Is she alive?"
If Jess saw desperation in Lena’s eyes, she didn’t comment on it. "Dr. Danvers said she is alive, but the situation escalated to a hostage exchange. They are asking for you."
Lena had her own team deployed to track Kara, but of course the D.E. Fucking O. had found her first. "I’ll be there ASAP. Get my helicopter ready."
"It’s on the roof waiting for you, ma’am."
Gods, this girl deserved a raise.
Lena was either too exhausted or too drunk for small talk, so as she entered the D.E.O. war room with a small visitor badge, she zeroed in on her sister-in-law. "Where is she?"
Alex shared her agony, so she kindly ignored Lena’s alcohol breath and recited the main points of Kara’s abduction.
Ambush. Kryptonite. An alpha posing as Lena, a bait.
"How did Kara fall for that?" Lena asked as Alex recounted the tale. "She would have noticed the difference in the scents."
"They had your clothes," Alex explained, "and I’m willing to bet Kara didn’t want to risk it."
"What do they want?"
At that, Alex finally took a breath. "L Corp research experiments. Apparently, this is not the kind of thing your PR team likes to handle."
"How do they even know what we have?" Lena sat down on one of the chairs. She was a mess, and she knew it. It had been 48 hours since Kara’s disappearance, and Lena was not dealing well with it.
"Lena." Alex knelt next to Lena’s chair, one hand on her thigh. If there was one thing Alex and Lena bonded over, it was the fact that they would do anything to keep Kara safe. "We know who has her."
"Who?" Lena spat the word with venom, though she already knew. There was only one person in this whole world who hated her enough to target the most precious thing in her life.
Alex pressed a button on her tablet and turned it to show Lena. Lena felt bile on her tongue at the short clipped video.
"Lena!" Lex greeted the camera, his beard immaculate, though his cream suit had a blood stain. "You have something I want, and I," he turned to show Kara behind him, her arms raised and bound in a sickly green glowing chain, "have something you want. I’m sure we can make a deal."
He continued to talk, but Lena’s attention was limited to Kara. Her face was swollen, her lips split; Kara was not used to being hurt, and her face contorted in pain.
Lena looked up at Alex and saw the hardened stare, and then and there, there was another promise between the alphas.
Lex was not getting out of that alive.

Can you write “Fuck being friends!” with Lena? Just saw that line and it's my comment for the show
Lmaoooo, I completely understand that one, hope you enjoy! 😊
"Fuck being friends!"
You and Lena had been friends since gradeschool, your crush though... That didn't develop until Freshman year of High School when you were both on the track team, you had fallen and injured yourself and Lena refused to leave your side during your healing process.
The two of you now lived next to each other, you guys having been roommates until she moved out with her now ex, so until that lease ended, she was over at your apartment most days and your crush was getting harder and harder to hide, especially since she would stay the night and unknowingly snuggle against you, causing you to have a sleepless night, not like you cared, she was worth all of them.
Today, you both were cleaning up your apartment some, her going to be moving in here in the next few weeks in your spare room, your cat, Roko, wouldn't be too happy to share his bed in there, but he'd get over it, you were vacuuming up the living room, unable to help yourself as you glanced over at Lena who was cleaning up the kitchen, her long hair pulled back into a messy bun and the glasses on her face slipping down her nose some, she was just so pretty, even on her dress way down days like this.
Finally deciding to face your fears, you turned the vacuum off and approached her, taking your headphones out and setting them on the counter "Lena?" You asked, watching as she glanced at you from cleaning the counter "Yeah?" She asked, setting the Clorox Wipe to the side and looking at you, raising a brow when you froze and opening her mouth to say something when you interrupted her.
"Fuck being friends!" You finally muttered, her barely catching it before you crashed your lips to hers, nervousness bubbling up when she didn't move and about to pull away when she recovered and wrapped her arms around your neck, pulling you impossibly closer, the two of you losing yourselves in one another, cleaning being delayed as you carried her off into your room, the fear of rejection vanishing as you closed your bedroom door behind you.

Lena: I love pinabowls
Kara, freezing, food halfway to her mouth as she blinks and processes what Lena says: you ... What?
Lena, gesturing to the pineapple on her pizza: pinabowl.
Kara, slowly lowering her slice: pineapple?
Lena, nodding: pineabowl.
Kara: why are you saying it like that? It's pine ...apple. Pineapple.
Lena, frowning in confusion: that's what I said, Kara. Pinebowl.
Kara: ... I- no... You're... Are you fucking with me right now?
Lena: why would I fuck with you Kara, it certainly wouldn't be for lying to me for years.
Kara: Lena!
Lena, smiles and eats her pizza innocently: I can't believe you didn't think I knew how to say pineabowl... I mean pineabowl. Pineabowl... *Frowns and takes a calming breath before trying again* pineapple.

Supercorptober Day 1: Wild
It's the little things in life that bring the most joy. Kara knew that. She loved the way the sunlight drifted through her curtains in the morning. The way her fuzzy blanket cocooned her in a lazy warmth. The smell of coffee floating in from the kitchen as the machine whirred to life. The sounds of the city waking up on a Sunday morning.
Kara loved it all. But the little thing she loved most was the way Lena's normally perfect hair looked so wild as she slept, snuggled into Kara's side.

It wasn't that Kara hadn't held her hand before. But now she was thinking about it.
Kara had always heard romances that felt like this- a warmth spreading through your chest whenever they laugh at a joke you made or the urge to kiss them every five minutes to remind them you love them- is one in which you fit like a puzzle, or that you're two sides of the same coin. But as she nervously took Lena's hand in hers for the first time (as her girlfriend!!), she realized that wasn't true.
She remembered reading a line from one of her (many) romance novels, "... their hands fit perfectly." and wished to experience it more than anything. She wasn't sure she wanted to anymore.
Lena's hands were tiny. So tiny and- well. Adorable.
And as they continued their walk to Noonan's, she realized she didn't want to fit perfectly. She just wanted to fit imperfectly with Lena.

The original idea was that Lena has tiny hands but it got away from me (just a little)

Heaven (Lena Luthor x Reader)
It’s a sexual drabble night, apparently.
Warning: Religious metaphors and smut.
-X-
Tumblr media
Tangling fingers in dark tresses, you tilted Lena’s head back and dragged your tongue along her throat, her gentle moans turning to prayers against your skin. Desperate digits traced psalms over the muscles rippling within your forearms, each a new verse in crimson ink splashed across the bible of your soul. You’ve heard many prayers, scripted and scrapped many books, but none had ever dragged you so close, becoming a siren’s call as you answered.
You’d found god in this bedroom.
This bedroom the finely crafted temple and Lena, its disciple.
Prayers became confessions as you dropped to your knees, bunching up expensive fabric in your grip as you worked her dress upward. Arousal coated pale flesh, sanguine and pure. She was more divine than any forbidden fruit, could drag any god to their knees.
You tasted every inch of exposed flesh, chasing sins and salvation as she writhed against your mouth, hymns circling your ears as she sung your praise. Tasted the nectar of her sacrificial wine as pleasure washed over her.
Reverence was a two-way street, and tonight, you found heaven on the bedroom floor.

Christmas Chaos
Here's a little Supercorp drabble as part of the Mods' collection of example fics for the Supergirl May-hem Event. Read it HERE on AO3.
Sign-ups for Supergirl May-Hem open December 1st. Seeking writers, artists and betas. For more information, you can find us HERE.
“You’ve got to be kidding me! No, no, no, no. This can’t be happening.” Lena says as she stares at her now dark phone in her gloved hand. Her heart is galloping inside her chest and she’s sure everyone around her can hear it. “Godamnit! Of course this happens the first year I have the chance to organize the event. Shit, shit, shit.”
She paces back and forth in front of the National City Convention Center, her eyes bouncing from the currently cloak-covered tree to the workers hanging the wreaths, lights, and bows across the front of the building. The giant “Christmas Carols in the Park” sign ripples in the slight breeze. Her mind is racing, indexing names and favors she can call in, calculating her next move. Pinching the bridge of her nose, she decides her first course of action is to start making phone calls.
Two hours later, she’s still no closer to solving her problem. Artie Anderson can kiss her ass. Secretly, she hopes that he never gets a headlining singing gig again. So what if he’s one of the up and coming stars of tomorrow, she doesn’t care how good or popular he is. He can still kiss her ass. Honestly, she hopes his pants fall down at his next show or he shits himself on stage. So what if she’s being petty. Sue her.
Who fucking does that?! She thinks. Cancels a headlining show the day of?! That’s just bad PR, Artie whatever-the-fuck. Choke on your microphone.
Lena sighs. Now she has to call her trusty assistant. It’s the last thing she wants to do, but well, she’s run out of options. She lifts her phone up and presses send.
“LKL Event Planning, where we bring your ideas to life. This is Jess speaking. How can I help you?”
Rolling her eyes, Lena chuckles. “Jess, you knew it was me. You didn’t have to give the whole spiel.” She huffs as she starts descending the stairs of the convention center toward Noonan’s and a cup of her favorite peppermint hot chocolate.
“Oh come on, Miss Luthor, you know how much I love to share our company greeting with everyone that calls.” Jess laughs, the amusement evident in her tone. “What can I help you with this morning?”
“Unfortunately, I have bad news. ‘Christmas Carols in the Park’ is currently looking like it’s going to be ‘Christmas Chaos in the Park’. Our headliner canceled on us a couple of hours ago. I’ve called all my other connections and, as expected, everyone is booked. I have no idea what I’m going to do. This is going to be a disaster.” Her left hand comes up to massage her temples as she opens the door to enter the warm, wonderful smelling atmosphere of Noonan’s. “We can move Macy Lynn to the headlining spot and find a lesser known singer to fill her slot, but that still doesn’t solve the current problem.”
She sighs, trying her best not to panic, but it’s not looking good. “Jess, if the event goes South, it won’t be good for future bookings. We could lose clients over this!” She takes a deep breath, pressing her hand against her chest, desperately trying to calm her racing heart. “This tree lighting ceremony is second only to the lighting of the tree at Rockefeller Center! We have to figure this out! I didn’t spend years building this business for some little snot-nosed, spoiled brat to ruin it by canceling at the last minute!”
Realizing that she had gotten a little louder than she thought, Lena sheepishly ducks her head and clears her throat. The line is moving slowly, but she knows she needs to wrap up her phone call soon. Years of Luthor etiquette training forcing her to be mindful of disturbing those around her.
“Why don’t you let me call Macy’s manager and get that taken care of while you take a minute to collect yourself? Hmmm?” Jess says, a smile evident in her tone. “I’ll call you back when everything is confirmed. Maybe by then you’ll have a solution in mind.”
“What would I do without you?” Lena smiles, resigning herself to a long day of groveling. “Thanks, Jess. I’ll talk to you later.”
Stuffing her phone in her coat pocket, she blankly stares at the menu board above the counter. She’s deeply lost in her own thoughts and doesn’t notice the blonde woman standing in front of her, eyeing her curiously. As the line inches forward, Lena’s mind is still drifting through her list of possible singers or group acts to fill the empty slot in the schedule. She’s so preoccupied that she walks right into the back of the person in front of her.
“Oh no, I am so sorry.” Lena laments, her eyes practically glued to her feet in embarrassment. “I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going and I…” Her words fade as her eyes land on the black-framed startling blue eyes of the stranger in front of her. They’re the bluest, warmest, most kind eyes she’s ever seen and for a moment, the world around her seems to stop.
The blonde smiles at her, subtly adjusting her glasses and Lena has to bite her bottom lip to keep from gasping at the beauty before her. This woman is stunning. Infinite hues of sky blue eyes dancing above a bright shimmering smile. She’s several inches taller than Lena and from what she can tell, incredibly well-built. Before she can rein her wandering eyes back in, she realizes she’s been caught and feels the heat climb up the back of her neck, across her ears, and land firmly on her cheeks.
An adorable giggle bubbles up the handsome stranger's throat and through her perfectly pink lips. Lena can’t help but smile and tilt her head in amusement even as her own embarrassment camps out on her face.
“It’s okay. You didn’t hurt me and it sounds like you’re having a rough day.” Attractive stranger says as she extends her hand toward Lena. “I’m Kara. Kara Danvers. And I might be able to help you with your little dilemma.”
Intrigued, Lena raises an eyebrow in question at the gorgeous stranger. Kara, she reminds herself. “Lena Luthor. Nice to meet you.” She eyes the woman up and down briefly before settling hers back onto the pools of blue eyeing her with amusement. “Do tell how you can assist with my dilemma, Miss Danvers.”
Kara grins, an adorably lop-sided grin as she offers her elbow to Lena and drags her to stand next to her in line. “How about you let me buy you your drink of choice and we find a table to chat? It sounds like you could use a little break.” She leans over to whisper conspiratorially into Lena’s ear. “Word on the street is this place has the best sticky buns in the state. I should know, I eat one several times a week.”
Without her permission and certainly for the first time in a long time, Lena can feel herself smile. Genuinely smile. Kara winks at her as they turn back toward the cashier and step up to order their drinks along with whatever monstrosity Kara has ordered. The young person working the register smiles, blushing as Kara calls them by name, and they move to the end of the long counter to wait for their names to be called.
Kara grabs the tray and guides them through the sea of customers to a little table tucked toward the back of the cafe. Several of the staff speak to her on their way to their seats. They settle into the chairs, the noise of the place seems more hushed in this little nook.
“You must come here a lot. Everyone on staff seems to know you.” Lena smiles as she takes a long, savored sip of her hot chocolate. “I think every single waiter we passed called you by name.” A boisterous, belly laugh floats across the table and graces Lena’s ears. It is such a lovely sound and she absolutely wants to hear it again.
“Well, I really am in here a lot.” Kara says with a warm smile, her skin creasing next to her mesmerizing eyes. “I’m a writer. I work from home most of the time, but a change of scenery is needed on those days I get stuck. So, I spend a good bit of time right here with my laptop, a warm drink, and sticky buns.” She points to the tray on the table and pulls a sticky bun off to settle in front of her.
Lena eyes her curiously. She’s inarguably never met anyone like Kara Danvers. They’ve known each other for less than thirty minutes and Lena already feels comfortable around her. This alone should scare the absolute shit out of her, yet she feels much calmer than she did when she walked inside earlier.
“So, Miss Danvers…how is it that you think you can help me?” Lena grins, raising her signature brow in question. She glances down at her watch and winces. “As much as I am enjoying your company, I have roughly six hours to find a replacement for my event tonight.”
“Well, what if I told you that I know a singer that is available tonight. She has a pretty decent voice and doesn't need any musicians or music. She usually performs acapella and will gladly help you out.” Kara gives her a bright, wide smile before taking a sip of her large monstrous drink and biting into her second sticky bun.
Lena tilts her head at the blonde, curious about this singer and what the catch is…there’s always a catch, right? “Well, this sounds promising. I’m willing to hear you out.” She leans forward, her forearms resting on the table and hands clasped. “However, in my experience, there’s always a catch. So, what’s the catch Miss Danvers?”
Kara smiles. She pushes her now empty plate to the side and leans forward, mirroring Lena’s position. “Please call me Kara, Miss Luthor. Every time you say Ms. Danvers, it makes me think of my adoptive mom.” She winks at the porcelain skinned woman across from her, taking another sip of her almost empty cup. “What makes you think there is a catch? Why can’t it just be a trade and not a catch?”
An unrestrained laugh springs from Lena’s chest. It’s so surprising, she nearly falls out of her chair. Once she regains her composure, she clears her throat and leans back in her seat. “Well, if I am calling you Kara, then please, call me Lena. Ms. Luthor also, unfortunately, reminds me of my adoptive mother as well. And, that’s just something I’d rather not think about.” She returns Kara’s wink. “If not a catch to your proposal, then a trade. What is your requested compensation in return for solving my dilemma?”
“Ok, hear me out.” Kara beams at Lena. “Not only am I a writer, but also a pretty decent singer. I can fill the spot you need tonight, free of charge.” She pauses, nervously adjusting her glasses and twisting her hands on the table. “If you’ll, um, goonadatewithme.” Her eyes drop to her fingers and she bites her bottom lip.
Lena’s not 100% sure she heard Kara correctly, but she does notice the adorable pink blush dusting the apples of her cheeks and it not only makes her smile, but releases a sea of butterflies into her stomach and chest. She bites her own lip, then looks up at the blonde. “I’m sorry, Kara, but I didn’t quite catch the last part of what you said. Can you repeat that for me? Maybe a little slower this time?”
Kara huffs, squirming in her seat as her face turns a darker rosy shade of pink. “I can fill the spot for your event tonight, if you’ll, um, go on a date with me.” She says with a little more confidence than she actually feels.
On the other side of the table, Lena is slightly stunned. Sure, she thought about asking the woman out before they parted ways or at least getting her phone number, but never imagined this is how their impromptu meeting would end. She smiles at the adorable fidgeting blonde. There’s no doubt in her mind she’s going to say yes, but she can’t give in right away. Where’s the fun in that?
“And what if I am already seeing someone?” She says with a smirk on her face. Watching as blue eyes widen. “How will I be able to meet the terms of your proposal in those circumstances?”
Kara drops her head onto the table and groans. It takes a minute before she lifts her head back up, red-faced and apologetic. “Oh no, Lena. I am so sorry. I should have known someone as stunning as you would be taken. I’m such an idiot. I’ll help you out and you don’t have to worry about payment or dates or anything like that. I can’t believe I didn’t think to ask you that first. I just…”
“Kara!” Lena chuckles and reaches out to stop the ongoing ramble. “Hey. I was only kidding! I’m very single and would actually be amenable to going on a date with you.”
“Really?” Kara’s blinding, toothy smile shines back at Lena from across the table. “Are you sure?” She asks, timidly.
“Yes, Kara. I’m sure. I was sure the minute I laid eyes on you.” Lena smiles, unsure how she managed to land a date with the most attractive and adorable woman she’s ever seen.
True to her word, Kara fills the slot at the ceremony that evening and ends up being the best performance of the night. They go on their promised date right after and end the night at Kara’s loft watching cheesy Christmas movies. The two of them share their first kiss surrounded by the twinkling glow of Christmas lights before they fall asleep on Kara’s comfortable couch. Their date is the most magical evening Lena’s had in all of her adult life.
Until the next year when Kara proposes at the tree lighting ceremony.
Christmas Chaos, indeed.

Ever see those videos of people being goofy and they get their fingers stuck in a cart or basket in a store and need the fire department or employees’ help? Kara gets her fingers stuck, Lena can’t science Kara’s fingers out, and it becomes a big spectacle to free Kara’s fingers but Lena stills loves her
hope this makes u chuckle friend. omg. thank u for the prompt
It’s a thursday night, and they’re strolling along the waterfront hand-in-hand, enjoying the crisp air and each other’s company. Soon enough they’ve reached the statue that Lena had unveiled years ago, moonlight glittering off of it as they walk up to the base.
“I still can’t believe this exists. Gosh, it’s just, ginormous - “ Kara exclaims, gazing up at the giant metal likeness of her.
“Hm. Doesn’t come close to capturing your beauty, though.” Lena replies, squeezing her hand extra tight.
Kara shies away, smile on her face, observing how the moonlight passes through the holes at the base, scattering little circles of across the ground. Strange, did it always have those? Kara runs her hand over it. Sticks her pointer finger impulsively into one of the holes. Swiss cheese statue. Nice.
“C’mon, we should head back.” She hears Lena say, which is true, it’s getting late and-
Huh. Her finger isn’t budging. She yanks at it a couple times before she feels Lena pull at the hand she’s holding. “Babe? Are you - oh.”
She keeps yanking as she turns with an expression of confusion to Lena. “It’s not - my finger, it’s stuck, how is it stuck -“ With the force that she’s using, the metal should have already bent by now, freeing her. And yet, here she is, still yanking her hand with increasing desperation.
“It’s Nth metal, Kara. Why the hell did you stick your finger in-“
Her blood runs cold for a second, and pauses her attempts to free herself. “It’s what?! Oh no, oh crap, oh rao -“ She doesn’t like being stuck. Any time that it’s happened, it’s usually paired with her life being endangered. Not a good feeling.
“Hold on, it’s okay, hold on.” Lena releases her hand, walking away a few steps and taking a deep, steadying breath. “Okay. I can’t - I haven’t worked with it personally all that much, I’m not aware of how it-“
Lena’s voice starts to fade away as she attempts to ground herself and not completely freak out. She sees a couple of people walking in the distance, and oh, crap, what if someone recognizes her while she’s stuck in her own stupid statue because she was stupid enough to stick her finger in it and-
“- freeze breath. Kara?” She snaps her gaze back to her wife. “Did you hear me? I know it has a lot of weird properties, but cold usually makes metal contract. Try that maybe?”
Okay. Freeze breath, good idea. Kara nods, bending down and stealthily puffing out cold air over the general area. She yanks. Nothing.
She’s this close to pulling it straight out of the ground.
Lena sighs. “Figures.” There’s a different group of people walking their way now, and one if them is looking directly at her. Oh, rao.
After about a half an hour, Kara’s taken about a dozen pictures involving herself casually perched up against the statue, hiding her predicament with success so far, and Lena is making a defeated phone call to Alex.
“Hey, can you come down to the Kara statue with the most industrial lube you can - Alex, I’m being serious - Yes, lube. Industrial - Please hurry. You’ll understand when you get here.”
20 minutes and a few more pictures later, Alex shows up, and upon taking in the scene, along with Lena’s exasperation and Kara’s puppy-dog face of embarrassment, laughs harder than she has in months.
Kara is freed within the next minute.
Later that night, Lena can’t help but tease. “Y’know, I could just imagine the headlines, Supergirl Fingers Herself -“ A pillow hits her straight in the face.
“Lena!”

Under the stars, anything could happen. Lots of things already do happen; like people falling asleep...some in love, some not. Each of them deserving of rest. Not one of them though, Kara thought, as much as this woman in her lap did.
Kara had worn Lena out in the best of ways; taking her on a date around the world. Now that Kara was out as Supergirl, well, anything could happen.
Like a date underneath the stars.
So underneath the bridge of National City, Kara settled Lena in her arms and let her rest. If anyone were somehow able to stumble upon them, well. They'd see it all written on Kara's face. The stars in the sky shone bright, but nothing would ever top the way Lena had looked tonight.
Kara knew it. Lena knew it --- hell, their shared mailman knew it.
They were in love // Thank you to @speeeenc for the prompt :)
