It's night.

The string doll Lilibet, modeled after Queen Lilith, is as dazzling as Queen Lilith.
When she dances, the hem of the skirt seems to flash across the faint light of meteors, and the brilliance of ice crystals quietly blooms in her dance steps.
Although she has become a highly anticipated queen in the doll kingdom, Lilibet is not satisfied with it.
She wants to be a more perfect herself and return to Queen Lilith's side, because she was originally-a gift for Lilith.

Story - transcripts from Designer's Reflection

Chapter 2 - Special Queen
Chapter 3 - Violin and Little Soldier
Chapter 4 - Dim Hope
Chapter 5 - A Future with You
Story - summarized
Lilibet is a gorgeous doll made in the spitting image of Queen Lilith, specially as a Starsnow gift. The Ninir queen loved the doll and would play with her every night. The two were inseparable.
But one day, Lilith stopped playing with the doll. Lilibet grew lonely sitting on the display shelf, and eventually she was donated to the toy museum.
Now, Lilibet dances every night in Swan Castle among the toys of the museum. But like the other toys, she longs to be with her original owner. Lilibet begins stealing the talents of the other toys to make herself more perfect. If she made herself perfect, then surely the queen would notice her again and love her.
A fellow toy named Benjamin shares with her the secret to escaping the museum. He's her most loyal guard, and he is willing to risk everything to help her get out, as long as he gets to come with her and stay by her side. So, the two of them gather in secret to formulate a plan to stealing enough toy talents and getting back to Lilith.
Connections
-Lilibet's Reflection serves as the prologue to the Night in Doll Kingdom hell event.
-All the toys in Swan Castle correspond to a person or moment in Queen Lilith's life: Benjamin is Nightbane, the nightingale is a toy replica of the bird from Nightingale and Mist, and the violinist is based after the boy from Abyss of Stars.
-One day, Lilibet overheard in the palace that some people thought Lilith was Mercury's puppet. Lilith rejects this in Mercury's own Reflection, Sweet Doll.
Fun Facts
-The title "Für Lilith" could refer to the classical song Für Elise, by Beethoven. The word "für" means "for" in German.
-Lilibet's power to make anyone give her their prized possession or talent is similar to Lilith's power to make anyone fall in love with her. Both of them are able to manipulate others to get what they want.
-The name of Swan Castle is a reference to Lilith being the Starheaven Swan.

Chapter 5: A Future with You
Narrated by Lilibet.
Narrator: Deep into the night, all the toys are fast asleep following the ball... except Benjamin and me. We always brainstorm about ideas to rob the other toys of their abilities and escape the museum as quickly as we can.
Narrator: Everyone knows that Benjamin is the Queen's most trusted attendant. What they don't know, however, is that the Queen only chooses to trust him to realize a dream she has never been able to realize.
Lilibet: One single chance is all we have to make it work, and we're done for if we're caught.
Benjamin: You shall succeed, my dear queen, for you have every last bit of my loyalty at your disposal.
Narrator: His face reddens visibly when I gently carry it up by his chin with a single finger.
Lilibet: Benjamin, I'm risking myself for Queen Lilith. Whom are you risking yourself for?
Benjamin: I'm no different, Your Highness. I'm risking myself so I can stay forever by your side.
Narrator: He smiles softly as he looks faithfully at me.
Benjamin: I made up my mind to leave with you the moment I'd learned of your desire to leave this place, Your Highness.
Benjamin: Your wish is my command, and I shall follow you to the end of eternity.
Narrator: I know Starsnow Eve is just around the corner when I see snowflakes everywhere in the museum.
Narrator: It just so happened to be a Starsnow Eve, too, when I first met my Queen Lilith, and I'll be able to see her again at long last today.
Narrator: Every toy in Swan Castle has been invited to join the grand banquet that I will be holding at the castle.
Narrator: I will ask all my guests to wear a mask as part of a masquerade that's part of the banquet. Then, I will ask one of them to join me for a dance.
Narrator: What they don't know, however, is that I'll sever my strings right when the banquet has had all of them absorbed. The whole museum will be plunged into a tumult then, and that's when I make my escape.
Lilibet: No matter what happens then, my plan can't be anything less than perfect.
Benjamin: Rest assured, Your Highness. No one will stand in our way.
Benjamin: Look at them... they're all hoping to be the chosen one to dance with you.
Narrator: Standing by the window sill, Benjamin looks at the crowd descending the castle's stairs.
Benjamin: And the countess did come with her nightingale. What a shame that today is going to be the last she hears it sing.
Benjamin: The guests are waiting for you to commence the banquet, Your Highness.
Lilibet: Got it.
Narrator: The crystal strings attached to my limbs begin producing what sounds like a musical prelude as I stand up and walk.
Narrator: The banquet hall is right in front of me. When I open the door, I feel as though I have opened the door to a future I'd long desired...
Narrator: My beloved Queen Lilith is sitting right there on the throne, looking at me in astonishment with a gentle smile on her face. I pull up my skirt and gallop for her.

Chapter 4: Dim Hope
Narrated by Lilibet.
Narrator: I bring Benjamin back and give him a new outfit and parts. The tricky thing about him, however, is that he needs a lead heart.
Narrator: The lead heart is a unique part of the toy guard. It's their heart, and every toy guard has one.
Narrator: And so I ask for the best, strongest guard to be brought to me.
Choose "You took a guard's lead heart?"
You: You took a guard's lead heart?
Narrator: He gave it to me of his volition after hearing my request.
Narrator: When a guard comes to me to inform me that their captain has gone missing, I'm examining Benjamin... now a changed man, by yours truly.
Narrator: Benjamin has changed beyond recognition. He's carrying himself tall in a sleek uniform, wearing a badge shining through the dark of the night.
Narrator: When the guard leaves on my command, Benjamin looks at me with a smile and lowers himself to plant a kiss on the back of my hand.
Benjamin: You saved my life, Your Highness! I'm yours and yours only now!
Lilibet: And just how exactly do you plan to repay me? I can't...
Narrator: I take a good look at him, from head to toe. Be it his uniform or parts, everything he has is a gift from me.
Lilibet: I can't see what I can possibly want from you.
Benjamin: You might recall that, back in the garden, I promised to tell you this museum's most precious secret.
Benjamin: There is an old bell tower in the depths of the Maze Woods, and in there you will be able to find the tunnel that leads to the outside world.
Benjamin: The tunnel will provide a fast and convenient choice if you would like to see Queen Lilith.
Choose either "Are you leaving the museum?" or "Are you going to see Lilith?"
If "museum," ...
You: You're leaving the museum? Where would you be able to go, though, if you leave here?
Narrator: This museum isn't home... to me, home is where Queen Lilith is.
If "Lilith," ...
You: You are going to see the Queen? But you don't even know when she'll be coming here next...
Narrator: I would definitely love to see her, but I don't have forever to wait for it to happen.
--
Narrator: Benjamin fixes me with a stare. He probably thought I'd be excited or happy hearing what he'd said... but no. On the contrary, I feel disappointed.
Lilibet: Was that all you had to tell me?
Narrator: He knows what I most crave, but it really is no big deal, because it is no secret that most of the toys at the museum miss their owners.
Narrator: But I have been at the museum long enough myself to have learned a few things about this place that might be unbeknownst to newcomers.
Lilibet: The bell tower does indeed lead to the outside world, but we as toys will be deprived of our ability to move the moment we've left the museum.
Lilibet: Tell me this: how am I supposed to go and see Queen Lilith if I can't move?
Benjamin: No, Your Highness. Your chance is just around the corner.
Benjamin: I was once left to rot in a corner of the museum, but that's also where I was fortunate enough to have learned some interesting information.
Narrator: I fix Benjamin with a firm stare and carefully observe his expression. Sure enough, I do see what just might pique my interest swimming under those fervent eyes of his.
Lilibet: I take that to mean that Queen Lilith will be coming to the museum soon?
Narrator: The smile on his face confirms my thought.
Benjamin: I would never dare lie to you, Your Highness. I think this would make for a great opportunity for you to leave the museum and go back to the Queen.
Benjamin: And I want to be someone you can rely on for solutions, Your Highness. Nothing stops me from serving you, if only you would allow me to serve you.
Choose either "Did you take him up on his suggestion?" or "Why was he trying to help you, though?"
If "take suggestion," ...
You: Did you take him up on his suggestion?
Narrator: I didn't... it's always been my plan anyway. He just so happened to say my plan out loud.
If "help you," ...
You: Why was he trying to help you, though?
Narrator: Why wouldn't he want to? I'm his queen, and the fact that I'd saved him is all the more reason he should help me.
--
Narrator: Benjamin tells me everything he knows.
Benjamin: An insider told me that Queen Lilith would be coming to the museum for an inspection on Starsnow.
Benjamin: I'll help you escape Swan Castle on Starsnow Eve. You'll be able to make it out just fine if you make it through the skylight of the bell tower's roof before anyone catches us.
Benjamin: You shall be the most perfect of all to Queen Lilith, and I'm certain she'll bring you back home.
Lilibet: ...Will she really?
Benjamin: Of course.
Benjamin: And that's because you're no longer the same person you were. I'm sure you'll leave the Queen with a strong impression with your violin skills and rose fragrance.
Benjamin: And I'll rob the other toys of their abilities for you, so that the noisy robotic nightingale and Queen Erinka won't stand a chance against you.
Lilibet: You're a smart one. You know exactly what I'm thinking.
Narrator: Benjamin takes a deep bow to me. When he raises his head, I see his eyes burning with excitement and fervor.
Benjamin: I dare not venture a guess at your heart, Your Highness! But I just can't imagine such amazing abilities befitting anyone but you because you're our one and only Queen Lilibet.

Chapter 3: Violin and Little Soldier
Narrated by Lilibet.
Narrator: Then, weird things started happening to the Kingdom of the Toys.
Narrator: The roses in the garden withered out of the blue. The staff was surprised and had planted new roses there several times, but they all ended up meeting the same end.
Narrator: People wrote it off as the roses being too embarrassed to blossom before the Queen, for they knew they could never hope to match her beauty.
Narrator: And the Queen's violinist suddenly announced he'd fallen sick after performing for the Queen in the garden, and that he'd never be able to play again.
Narrator: This hit everyone as a surprise. The violinist, however, explained that the Queen's beauty was such that he dared not flaunt his talent before her.
Narrator: I'm sitting in the garden with the violinist's violin in my hand when I come across Benjamin.
Narrator: Tear-jerking notes come flowing naturally off the violin's strings, sounding every bit as perfect as what I'd heard before at the Queen's bedchamber.
Narrator: Actually, no... I would say mine are even more so than his, because the violinist had only played the same piece every single time anyway.
Lilibet: I wonder if the Queen would come and bring me back home if she knows that I play the violin now?
Narrator: I'm still deep in nostalgia when the last note leaves the string. Then, I hear claps coming sporadically from behind the grass.
Lilibet: Who's there?
Narrator: Alarmed, I approach the grass and, when I move the grass out of the way, see a guard without a winder lying on the ground.
Narrator: He seems one loose part away from crumbling into pieces. God only knows how he'd made it into my garden when he doesn't even have a winder.
Narrator: And how did he manage to clap with those tattered arms? My curiosity is the only thing that prevents me from having him thrown out of my garden.
Benjamin: You're Queen Lilibet!
Narrator: The guard struggles but manages to salute me.
Benjamin: My name is Benjamin, and I'm from your guard of honor. I-I have always adored you. My... You're beautiful!
Benjamin: And you played so well just now, Your Highness. The best violinist here at the museum can't even hope to measure up to you!
Narrator: I look down into his eyes... eyes that reflect a strange light that seems to bespeak the dangers to come.
Benjamin: This violin is truly one of a kind, and I recognize it. It's made by Ninir's top toymaker. There is only one in this museum, and the violinist who used to play for you owned it.
Benjamin: And to a violinist, his violin is his life... and for him to give it to someone else, it can only mean that he loves that person with all his heart.
Narrator: I clench the bow in my hand.
Narrator: How does someone like him know so much about this violin? How long has he been here anyway? Did he hear my conversation with the violinist?
Choose either "So, you're the one who's been going around causing all the weird things to happen these days?" or "Did you take away the violinist's ability to play?"
If "you're the one," ...
You: So, you're the one who's been going around causing all the weird things to happen these days?
Narrator: I only made some small requests from the other toys.
If "take away," ...
You: Did you take away the violinist's ability to play?
Narrator: To be more precise, I asked him for it, and he gave it to me of his own volition.
--
Choose "The guard is now in on your little secret."
You: What are you going to do with the guard now that he's in on your little secret?
Narrator: Nothing. Why should I get worked up over a guard that's about to be disposed of?
Lilibet: I'm Swan Castle's Marionette Queen Lilibet, and this is reason enough for all the other toys to give me the best they have.
Benjamin: And I'm no different!
Narrator: The guard's voice is ablaze with desire.
Benjamin: I might not have anything that piques your interest, but my loyalty is yours through and through! I can tell you what I know about this museum... it's the most precious secret, that is.
Benjamin: Please, Your Highness, bring me back and let me be by your side...

Chapter 2: Special Queen
Narrated by Lilibet.
Narrator: And so begins my life at the museum, as the Swan Castle's queen.
Narrator: Why are you looking so surprised? It only made sense, right? With my unparalleled beauty, I'm no doubt the only one who can live up to the honor, no?
Narrator: Hundreds of thousands of tourists come here every day just to see me, and I'm always more than happy to dance for them.
Narrator: I'm perfect in every which way... from the way my hair waves to the way I dance, every last detail about me is perfect.
Choose either "Do you like it here?" or "You're even more of a star here now."
If "like," ...
You: You seem to like it here a lot?
Narrator: Why wouldn't I, though? The museum bustles with life every single night.
If "star," ...
You: You're even more of a star now than you were back at the palace.
Narrator: And that'd be correct. There are more toys here that love me than back on the display shelf in the Queen's bedchamber.
--
Narrator: Swan Castle would hold a grand ball every single night.
Narrator: The conductor of my toy guard waves his baton again and again as if he could never get tired.
Narrator: When I open the door to the banquet hall, all the toys swarm around me as they fight to kiss my hands and ask to dance with me.
Narrator: The mellow tunes that start resounding through the hall strike me as being familiar. When I look over to see who the musician is, I see the violinist that used to keep Queen Lilith company.
Narrator: He bows at me when he sees me, his eyes brimming with admiration and obsession... like they were when he used to look at Queen Lilith.
Narrator: There are toys in this museum that have been Queen Lilith's companions and gained the Queen's favor.
Narrator: I, of course, am the most special of them all, because I look exactly the same as the Queen herself. And I am the Chosen One... chosen personally by the Queen for the museum to keep as a special collection item.
Narrator: The Queen's many old companions revere me all the more as a result, and they often speak of the Queen before me.
Countess: O, Your Highness, allow my nightingale to sing for your dance! It used to be Queen Lilith's favorite!
Narrator: At the very mention of the Queen's name, my smile freezes as beautiful music comes trickling down the nightingale's beak.
Narrator: The nightingale reminds me of all those times when Queen Lilith stroked it with a tender yet lonely expression on her face.
Narrator: Would the Queen look at me the same way if I could sing for her like the nightingale?
Narrator: Applause and admiration flood the great hall when I finish my dance.
Narrator: On our way back to my bedchamber, my maid is like a chirping lark as she applauds me for my dance. I could listen to her praising me forever.
Maid: ...Your dance was absolutely gorgeous, Your Highness. The last time I saw a dance so enthralling was when Queen Lilith came for inspection.
Maid: It was Erinka the Red Queen who danced for Queen Lilith then, and Queen Lilith even praised the Red Queen for her dance! But I think your dance, Your Highness, was even better.
Lilibet: ...So, Queen Lilith comes to the museum?
Narrator: I feel a leap of excitement hearing the news. A seed of hope has been planted in my mind.
Maid: Yes, the museum was built in the name of the Queen, so she comes for inspection every now and then.
Maid: Queen Lilith is amazingly gentle. I'm just a maidservant, but she still complimented me for my voice.
Narrator: I never knew the Queen came to the museum. Then, the violinist I'd seen at the ball and the nightingale with a sweet voice crossed my mind. I wonder if the Queen has ever paid them a visit?
Narrator: My maid is still talking, not knowing that I've already stopped walking.
Maid: ...Your Highness, what's the matter?
Lilibet: You were saying that Queen Lilith had complimented you for your voice.
Lilibet: And so do I, actually... Would you give me your beautiful voice, then?
Narrator: My maid's eyes grow cloudy the moment she looks me in the eye. With a nod, she tries to say something, but no sound comes out of her mouth when she opens it to speak.
Choose "What did you do to her?"
You: What happened? What have you done to her?
Narrator: I didn't do anything, but as a gesture of loyalty, she offered me the best she had to offer... her voice.
Choose "How did you do it?"
You: How did you do it?
Narrator: It's easy... I just need to look at them and ask them if they're willing to give me the best they have.
Narrator: Everything in this museum has its own special power. My maid, for example, is able to make it so that people fall in love with her words.
Narrator: And I'm able to make it so that people are willing to offer me the best they have. And it only makes sense that they want to... I'm their queen, after all.
Narrator: And my maid's voice is something Queen Lilith enjoys, which is all the more reason for me to possess it.
Narrator: I'm no longer just the beautiful puppet that I was. Queen Lilith is going to open her eyes to what I have become when she sees me next.
Narrator: I'm certain that I'll be able to make her fall in love with me again.

Chapter 1: Beautiful Puppet
Narrated by Lilibet.
Narrator: It's midnight, and lights have all but gone in Queen Lilith's bedchamber in the heart of the Ninir Palace.
Narrator: Except for the fireplaces, which are the only things that seem to still be working when everyone else at the palace is fast asleep. I can hear Queen Lilith breathing through the velvet valances around her bed.
Narrator: Shh... Be quiet. She just got back and fell asleep.
Choose "Who's speaking?"
You: Who's talking?!
Narrator: It's me. I'm right beside Queen Lilith's bed.
Choose either "You are Lilibet" or "You're Queen Lilith's marionette."
If "Lilibet," ...
You: You're Lilibet.
Narrator: Yes, Queen Lilith gave me this name herself.
If "marionette," ...
You: You're her marionette.
Narrator: I see you know my background... Well, perhaps, you might be interested in my story, then.
--
Narrator: I'm Lilibet, and I'm Queen Lilith's marionette.
Narrator: What makes me different from the Queen's other toys is that I was made based on the Queen herself.
Narrator: I knew where life would take me from when I was still being made... I'd be gifted to Ninir's most beautiful queen as a present.
Narrator: My maker dedicated all his love and relentless effort to make me... all just so he'd be able to see the Queen smile at him when he gave me to her.
Narrator: And so he did.
Lilith: This is a beautiful marionette. She looks exactly like me.
Marionette Maker: As a present for you, it can't be anything less than the most beautiful. And I hope you'll forgive me for my honesty, Your Highness, but your face is the most beautiful of all the faces I can possibly think of.
Narrator: Queen Lilith chuckles, her raised tone telltale of her delight.
Lilith: She really is beautiful, and her dress is as white and pure as the cloud. I really like her.
Lilith: What should we call her, though... Let's call her Lilibet, then.
Narrator: The maid put me right by the Queen's bed, as per the Queen's wish.
Narrator: There was a time when the Queen would always play with me by the window. When moonlight showered on me, my dress would always gleam.
Lilith: You're such a beauty. Everyone is going to love you.
Narrator: At that moment, the Queen's eyes shone so brightly like stars at night that everything else was outshone.
Narrator: And the Queen and I spent so many cozy nights together.
Narrator: I learned quite a few things about the Queen... for example, she would always need to have a cup of hot milk and read fairytales before going to sleep. I would always be right there with her when she read.
Narrator: When she became too absorbed in a story, she would hold me by my control rod and make me dance over and over again for her. She would break into a smile when she saw me dancing gracefully.
Narrator: I couldn't have been happier, and I was happy because I was able to make her smile and make her happy.
Narrator: I knew that she loved me because I was as beautiful as she was. When she looked at me, she'd essentially be looking at a perfect replica of herself.
Narrator: I was her perfect companion, and I couldn't think of anything else that would suit her as much as I did, or shine as brightly as I did.
Narrator: Spring is supposed to be a time when everyone takes time to appreciate the lush green... but not Queen Lilith. She doesn't come back to her bedchamber until late now.
Narrator: I try to remember the last she made me dance as I counted the falling leaves outside the window. Was it last month? Or two months ago?
Narrator: The Queen seems to have become increasingly occupied. She hardly ever smiles now when she was back at the bedchamber and has been seen frowning on quite a few occasions.
Maid: ...The Queen has been working herself so hard these days, that she doesn't even want to have milk before she goes to sleep now.
Manservant: I overheard the Queen and Minister Fidel talking the other day. Apparently, people out there are all saying that the Queen is just Mercury's puppet, which the Queen finds very upsetting!
Narrator: The Queen once called me a "puppet," too. That was the first time she did it, and she did so without a smile.
Lilith: ...You beautiful little thing. You can be the most beautiful being in this world, but that doesn't change the fact that you're but a puppet.
Narrator: And the Queen never asks me to dance ever again after that... she puts me away on top of a display shelf, well out of anyone's reach.
Narrator: I don't know why she never asked me to dance anymore. Is it because she's too busy? Or is it because she has her plate full?
Narrator: Or perhaps she just simply forgets about me. She has a new nightingale, and the Queen always gently strokes its dusky feathers before going to sleep.
Lilith: Sing for me, nightingale.
Narrator: The nightingale, however, takes no heed of her request. Gloom creeps into the Queen's beautiful face.
Narrator: How I wish I could sing. If I could sing, the Queen would have kept me by her side instead, wouldn't she?
Narrator: The nightingale is gone by springtime, and now it is a young violinist's performance that would lull the Queen into dreamland.
Narrator: His melodies are enthralling... more lucid than the most lucid of rivers, and more soothing than the most soothing of night winds.
Narrator: The Queen always listens nostalgically to the violinist playing... without ever sparing me so much as a glance as she walks down memory lane.
Narrator: The young violinist was not around for long, though. All beings come and go, and none is forever to stay.
Narrator: The moon hangs full in the sky and shines upon Queen Lilith, who now stands by the window, staring wholeheartedly into the distance.
Narrator: She isn't happy.
Narrator: My owner - the most elegant, gorgeous, revered Queen of Ninir - isn't happy.
Narrator: My Queen Lilith isn't happy... yet I can offer her no better comfort than casting her glances of pity from atop the display shelf.
Narrator: When Ninir's Toy Museum is established, they ask the Queen to donate her toy as a memento. The Queen chose me.
Narrator: And it only makes sense that she does... with my unparalleled beauty, I am undoubtedly the only one good enough to represent the Queen.
Narrator: The museum holds a ceremony in recognition of the Queen's donation of me. A protocol officer from the palace ceremoniously transfers me to the museum as I sit in a beautiful glass box.
Narrator: The Queen has a smile on her face the moment the camera shutters are pressed.
Narrator: Our imminent separation pains my heart, but the Queen's smile makes for a last saving grace.
Narrator: I love her, and I want to make her smile.
