warm; draco malfoy
summary: fwb draco just wants to be close to you.
warnings: non established relationship
It was around 11pm on a chilly night as you layed on the emerald green sofa in the slytherin common room, watching the fireplace crackle and pop. After an exhausting, overwhelming day of back-to-back lessons whilst stressing about your O.W.L exams, you thought you'd give yourself a break, an escape from everything and everyone - to have some time for yourself.
You snuggled into the couch, tugging your warm blanket up, as you relished in the quiet, calming atmosphere. The soft fireplace exerted an aura of warmth and comfort, its gentle glow casting a mesmerizing hue across the dimly lit room, as you listened to the crackling of burning logs, adding to the ambience. This is just what you needed to wind down.
The soothing lull of the fireplace was soon interrupted by the sound of the common room door opening.
"y/n? love? are you in here?" a familiar voice called out softly
did he just call you "love"?
"im here draco" you replied, unable to hide the small smile that formed on your face. Why was he looking for you this late?
"what are you doing in here this late? i was looking for you everywhere, i checked your dorm but pansy said you never came back in." he replied while making his way toward the couch you were laying on.
"I just needed time away from everyone; especially pansy, merlin i cant deal with her meaningless chatter after a long day- wait a minute, why were you looking for me?"
"you cant laugh when i tell you" he said whilst hovering over the sofa you layed on, looking down at you.
"why would i laugh you idiot" you replied looking up at him
he stayed silent for a bit
"i missed you" he murmered
"hm? sorry? i didnt hear you" you heard what he said, you just wanted to hear him say it again.
"i said i missed you" he repeated, a little louder this time
"ive barely seen you the entire week" he added
you couldnt help the smile that formed on your face, you had the king of slytherin, the most intimidating student in the grade admit that he had missed you.
"you really are a big softie on the inside aren't you draco?" you chuckled lightly
"nevermind then i didnt miss you ill just leave-" he turned to leave
"noo im joking come back baby" you cut him off quickly, grabbing. his wrist and pulling him back towards you.
"i missed you too draco" you added whilst opening up your blanket, making space for him to climb in.
he climbed in slowly, trying not to put too much pressure on you as he layed his head on your chest and wrapped his arms around your stomach. after pulling the blanket back over the two of you, your hands tangled in his golden locks, lightly scratching his scalp, the two of you in comfortable silence, relishing in each others company.
of course, having some alone time was great, but having the boy that you care for so much snuggled up into you like a baby was better.
draco tilted his head up slightly to look at you "wait a minute y/n- did you just call me baby like a minute ago-"
oh
"i- i er- i dont know it just slipped off my tongue i guess-" you felt the heat rising to your cheeks.
"i liked it" he cut you off with his signature smirk plastered across his face.
you stayed silent, unsure of how to respond in your flustered state.
he moved his arm to your face brushing away a few stray hairs before softly tracing your jawline.
"you're so pretty y/n, the most gorgeous girl." he said before placing a soft kiss to your forehead, then your lips.
this was one of the most intimate moments between you and draco. at first, you had a "friends with benefits" relationship, though overtime you both seemed to have gotten quiet attached to each other. you couldnt act on it though because dracos father would disapprove, so you decided to not put any further thought into it, just letting things flow as they are friends with benefits style, although you both knew it was deeper than that.
let me know if u want a part 2!!

True Colors
Summary: Monsters are stupid, but they do have excellent color vision, and can recognize patterns almost as well as Hylians. This leads to some misunderstandings.
Or:
Monsters assume that Hylians operate under the same color system as they do.
Content Warning: Not much to note. A few Bokoblins die.
Author's Note: I wrote this to fill this prompt from @linkeduniverse-prompts. It got way out of hand and ended up being about 3k words longer than I expected. I have a cheat sheet about color meanings at the end.
(Read on AO3 Here)
~~~
Greg wasn’t stupid. Well, he had been told plenty of times by his sisters that he was. He was a Red Bokoblin, and Reds weren't known for being very smart. (Not that any kind of Bokoblins were, but that was irrelevant to Greg.)
But personally, he felt he was a lot smarter than many of the others in his clan. Like Jeff.
Jeff was an idiot, even by Bokoblin standards.
It was because he was so intelligent, Greg thought, that he was able to devise a plan to sneak up on this group of travelers. (Truthfully, he wasn't being very sneaky. The group he was tracking was just being particularly unobservant at the moment.)
Greg had seen the perils of attacking first and asking questions later first hand. His brother, Derek, had done so, and picked a fight with the wrong group of travelers. Derek had paid the price for that mistake with his life. And then Derek II did the same... And then Derek III. And then there was Derek IV, who truthfully hadn’t made that poor of a choice in target. It was just plain unfortunate that that Hylian hero had shown up and lit him on fire. (Honestly, maybe his parents should stop naming their kids Derek.)
Not that picking a fight with the wrong Hylians was particularly hard to do for them. Their clan was mostly Reds, the lowliest and weakest of their kind. Only his eldest sisters were lucky enough to be born as Blues. If they went up against any Hylian but the weakest, they were in trouble.
So, yeah. Greg had seen many of his fellow clanmates fall to stupidity. He wasn’t going to be one of them.
At least he hoped so. Jeff might get him killed anyway. Greg didn't know why his sisters always put the two of them together for patrol duty.
Greg crept relatively silently through the bush towards the loudly chattering group of Hylians, letting out only an occasional squeal. Jeff, however, was moving as if he were a Hinox, and he was going to get them caught. Never mind Greg’s brilliant plan of sneaking up on the group of Hylians and seeing what they were up against first.
He turned to Jeff and tried to mime that he should stay here, while Greg got closer to check things out. Unfortunately, it just looked like flailing, with the occasional slap thrown in, and Jeff didn’t seem to understand. Thankfully, he seemed content to stay put. He had gotten distracted by a strange glowing blue ball halfway through Greg’s attempt at communication. Greg really didn't care, as long as Jeff shut up and didn’t move.
Greg crept further forward on his own. When he finally reached the treeline, he hid behind a fallen log, and set about observing the group.
Immediately, his malice-filled veins ran cold.
This was not an ordinary group of travelers.
The intricacies of the Hylians’ marking system were somewhat lost on Monsters as a whole, and although he prided himself on his above-average intelligence, Greg was no exception. The Bokoblin marking system was very straightforward. Those who were Red, like Greg, were the weakest. Then came the Blues, then the Blacks, the Whites, the Silvers, and then the mightiest of all Bokoblins, the Golds. It was quite simple. It telegraphed their ranks and battle prowess nicely, both to other Bokoblins, and to their enemies. Greg thought it was rather thoughtful to give their enemies a heads up on what they were going to be fighting.
Hylians were not in the habit of returning that favor. No Bokoblin had managed to really make heads or tails of their marking system. There were only a few accepted truths that all young Bokoblins are taught.
Brown was the most common coloration, and was pretty much assumed to be similar to Red Bokoblins. There wasn’t anything particularly special about the Browns, except that they were good at running away. A couple Reds could take down a Brown with no trouble.
Then there were the Whites. They were only really found near central Hyrule, near one of the Great Hylian Camps. They were much faster than the Browns and actually seemed to know what they were doing with weapons. They were also very good at sneaking. Greg knew that many camps had been wiped out by White Hylians.
Then there were the Reds. These were possibly the strangest of all the colors. Greg’s sire had told him that they were to be treated, cautiously, as allies. They never attacked Bokoblins without provocation, and they even occasionally teamed up with Bokoblins to take down the Hylians, especially the Whites.
Next up on the Hylian totem pole were the Blues. Personally, Greg thought it was weird that Hylians placed Blue above White, but Hylians as a whole were very strange. Except for a few sightings recently, Blues hadn’t been seen for many, many generations. Their legend persisted though, as they were perhaps the most consistent of all the Hylian colorations. If a Hylian had a bright blue coloring, you could assume that they would have high quality weapons, and would know what to do with them. Browns would even run towards them for protection, or so Greg was told.
They had been known for working together in large groups to bring down entire camps of Bokoblins. Greg had once been told that Bokoblins learned how to band together, and how to find safety in numbers from observing these Hylians.
And then.
And then there were the Greens.
If Blues were legendary, Greens were mythical. Sightings of them were few and very far between, which might have to do with the fact that the Bokoblins who saw them didn’t live to tell the tale. The destruction they wrought was so absolute that even if they hadn’t been seen for hundreds of years, their legend lived on.
(Greg himself had seen one, once. He had only lived because he had run away before the Green had spotted him. He usually tried not to think about it.)
So, yeah. Greg had been expecting a small group of Browns, perhaps some Whites or a Blue thrown in.
That was not what he had gotten.
This was an entire goddamn clan of Greens.
A loud yell from the pair closest to Greg covered up his shocked squeal, as his brain tried to process exactly how much danger he was in.
He could count seven Hylians in front of him, huddled around a campfire. The pair closest to him were wrestling on the ground. Distantly, Greg was reminded of how his sisters wrestled to assert dominance, but these Greens seemed to be much friendlier about it than his sisters were. They weren’t even drawing any blood. The one who currently seemed to be winning wore armor around his shoulder, and a stripe of bright blue around his neck.
That made Greg pause for a moment. Was this a Blue instead of a Green?
But no, the Hylian’s torso was covered in undeniable green.
Similarly, the one pinned under the Blue-Green wore a Red tunic, but under that, a dark Green gave him away. Perhaps the two were some sort of hybrid? The concept of hybrid Bokoblins was foreign. Bokoblins were always one color, but who knew with Hylians.
Most Hylians did not accept Reds into their groups, as they were hostile towards others of their own kind. Maybe that was why Blue-Green was wrestling with Red-Green?
A few yards away, another pair sat on a log watching the pair fight, with a third tending to a fire nearby. The two sitting on the log were the biggest Hylians Greg had seen in this group. If he had to pinpoint any of them as the leaders of this clan, it would be these two. One was covered in armor, which Greg had only seen on the most skilled Hylians, and only in small amounts. The fact that this Hylian was covered in the stuff was intimidating. Greg couldn’t really tell what color this Hylian was, as the armor covered him, but this must be the leader. He was big enough for it, and the one next to him seemed to be showing him a good amount of respect.
The Hylian sitting next to the Leader seemed more like the run-of-the-mill Green. (Not that any Green was run-of-the-mill, but whatever.) The most notable thing about him was the wolf pelt he wore around his shoulders, which did give Greg pause.
His sisters wore the skins of large animals they hunted, as a symbol of their higher status. Neither of them had a wolf pelt, though. Wolves were strong creatures, and best left alone. It could take an entire clan to take down a fully grown wolf, let alone a whole pack. The fact that this Hylian, who wasn’t even the leader of this clan, was wearing the wolf pelt so openly was clearly a warning.
The third was crouched over the fire, moving the logs around with a stick for some reason. This one was a White-Green, a long white covering over his shoulders. He was listening to the conversation between the Leader and Wolf-Pelt, occasionally adding his own thoughts.
Once Greg was able to get over his shock of seeing so many Greens in one place, he was able to see that they weren’t actually all Greens. Two of them, huddled closely together, were just wearing pale Blue. Not quite as concerning as the others, but still strong.
One of them was smaller than any of the others in the clearing. He wore a pale blue covering. Greg paused in confusion. In a group of powerful Greens, why would they tolerate a small, weak Blue? Clans could become stronger, as Greg’s was, as stronger Bokoblins were born. But if his clan was made up of Blues, and a Red was born, they would be killed or driven out. There was no room for weakness.
But then again, Hylians were very strange. Perhaps, since this Blue was obviously a youngling, they had simply not matured into their adult Green coloration? It was possible.
The youngling was crouched over a strange flat rock, held by the other Blue. Now, this one was the same size as the others in the group, and obviously an adult. The excuse of being a youngling did not apply to him.
So why….?
The Blue shifted, lifting the strange rock, and handing it off to the Youngling, joined the White-Green near the fire. As he did, Greg caught sight of a familiar symbol on the rock.
An eye.
The symbol was not strange to him. It was scattered all over the land on large black rocks. However, to see it on a smaller rock like this… seemed familiar, and not in a good way.
Greg strained his memory to try to remember when he had seen this before, and then it hit him.
He had seen this strange rock before, when Derek IV was killed. He had gone after a pair of Brown Hylians who had unwisely traveled off the road. Greg, still being quite young at that point, had hung back to see how it was done. It had gone well for a while. Derek IV chased the pair, swinging a club at them, while the Hylians screeched in fear and scrambled away.
Then, swooping down from the sky like a bird of prey, a Blue Hyalin descended. True to legend, Greg had watched the Browns scramble toward the newcomer for protection. Derek IV, likely having fallen asleep during their sire’s lessons, did not register the danger of this Hylian’s color, and ran straight towards the group.
Greg had watched in horror as his brother was cut down with graceful ease. He hadn’t even had time to squeal a battle cry before he was falling to the earth with a flaming sword buried in his side.
He continued to stare in mounting terror as the Blue bent down and harvested his brother's teeth. The Blue had even taken Derek IV’s weapon for his own before his brother finally took enough fire damage, and broke down into smoke, disappearing.
The Blue had approached the Browns, who hadn’t even looked disgusted at the looting of a body, and had instead gifted the Blue food as a token of appreciation for his protection.
Greg came to a sudden realization. This was no Blue. He was colored like one, but he was alone. According to legends, Blues came in packs, ruthlessly efficient in working together. Besides that, Greg could imagine only one color that was that efficient at killing.
Greens.
Greg didn’t know why this Green was disguised as a Blue, But he didn’t stick around to find out. The last thing he caught sight of was a strange rock on the Green’s hip, with an ominous eye on the front of it. He had booked back to the safety of his clan’s camp. Not that he harbored any delusions that anyone in his clan would survive if the Green-in-Disguise found them.
Thankfully, he hadn’t, and Greg had grown up trying desperately not to fall into the same trap of attacking first and finding out the consequences later as Derek IV had.
Now, the same strange eye symbol was back, on the same strange rock, in the possession of the same Green-in-Disguise. Well, the same clan, at least. The Youngling was still fiddling with the rock, occasionally calling out to the Green-in-Disguise. Greg could only assume it must be some type of weapon, if a Green was in possession of it.
Greg stumbled back, turning to flee. He had saved himself once by fleeing in the face of one Green, and he wouldn’t make the mistake of trying to take on seven Greens at once.
Wait- hold that thought. A rustle in the bushes on the opposite side of the clearing caught his eye. Against his better judgment, he crept back to look. If that was Jeff coming to look for him, and he stumbled into the encampment of a clan of Greens in the process, Greg was not going to be helping him.
Fortunately, (or unfortunately, Greg thought privately,) it wasn’t Jeff. It was two more Greens.
Greg felt faint, and nearly swooned on the spot as Wolf-Pelt called out in greeting to the two new arrivals.
These two new arrivals were underwhelming. They were both small. In fact, one of them was even smaller than the youngling already in the camp. His coloring was a strange mash-up of Blue, Red, and, oddly, Purple, which was a color that Greg had never heard of Hylians being. But he also had Green, plain as day. Greg had to wonder if this Four-Color was even younger than the Youngling. Maybe it wasn’t certain yet what his strength level was going to be?
The other was of a more reasonable height for a Hylian, although not as big as many of the others. He had brown coloration peeking out from underneath his green. Perhaps this was the weakest of them all? But again, if he was tolerated in this, frankly overpowered, clan of Greens, then there must be more to him than meets the eye.
But these two new arrivals, no matter how unthreatening they looked, meant the clan now numbered nine. Greg had never seen a Bokoblin clan this large, let alone a Hylian one, at least outside of the Great Hylian Camps. Normally, Hylians only traveled in small groups.
This was bad. If an entire clan of Greens had appeared in Hyrule, then the Hylians were getting stronger. He had to report this to his sisters.
With a determined grunt, Greg turned back to where he had left Jeff. He needed to collect him, and then head back. Under the circumstances, he didn’t think his sisters would care about them not finishing their patrol route.
When he arrived back to the place he left Jeff, his brother was still absorbed with kicking around that strange glowing blue ball from before. Greg didn't know what it was, but at this point he didn’t particularly care. He just wanted to get back to the slight safety of their camp.
Just as he was about to squeal at his brother that it was time to go, he heard a shout from behind him. It was one of the Greens, calling out. For a moment, Greg was worried that they had been discovered.
Then, he didn’t have to wonder anymore.
The weird glowy ball that Jeff had been playing with exploded in blue light. Before Greg could even shield his eyes against the light, it was over. The explosion had taken Jeff out in one hit. His brother's body was already disappearing into smoke, leaving nothing behind.
Greg knew they had been discovered. Somehow, this whole situation must have been a trap, and it had been set up by the Greens. They must have known that Greg was there the entire time.
These Greens were terrifying. Greg could hear Hylian footsteps moving in his direction, and booked it out of the clearing. He wasn't sticking around for them to find him. He was leaving.
At least his sisters couldn't put him with Jeff on patrol anymore.
~~~
It was a rather chilly night. The seasons were just changing in his Hyrule, splashes of reds and golds dotted here and there as some trees started to shed their leaves, and the autumn air wasn’t exactly warm or balmy.
The group usually waited until Wild was ready to make dinner to start a fire, but not tonight. Sky volunteered to collect firewood, and only stopped to set down his pack before leaving to search for kindling. Four and Hyrule also left to scout the area, and make sure there weren't any threats lingering nearby.
Wild helped Time and Twilight move some fallen logs into the clearing for makeshift benches, and then collapsed onto the nearest one. He sighed, and pulled his boots off, shaking a pebble out of the left one that had been bothering him for hours. He didn’t immediately put the boots back on, letting his feet relax after a long day of walking.
Wind settled next to him, Time and Twilight not far off. Legend and Warriors were already bickering about something or another, snarking at each other for where they were perched across the empty fire ring.
Wind sniffed next to him. “Goddess, Wild, your feet stink! Why did you take your shoes off?”
Wild very maturely stuck out his tongue at the younger hero, pointedly ignoring Time’s muttered: “Don’t encourage him, we already have one squabbling pair, we don’t need another.” Wild stuck his dirty boots back in his slate, pulling out one of his cleaner pairs. Wind, forgetting the apparent stench, shifted closer in interest.
“So, how many different sets of clothing do you keep in there?” Wild shifted to show Wind his slate, swiping through the armor and clothing he accumulated on his journey.
“So, this is the Sheikah stealth set. It’s the first set of clothes I bought after waking up from my shrine. I got it in Kakariko. Before that, I was basically wearing a set of rags I found in my Shrine.”
A rustle from across the clearing drew Wild’s attention as Wind continued to poke at the slate. It was just Sky, carrying an armful of wood. Before the Skyloftian could start to set up the fire, Warriors took things one jeer too far, causing Legend to leap across the pit, tackling him off his log. Sky didn’t even do a double-take, ignoring the two wrestling near the side of the clearing, and started to get the fire going.
Next to Wild, Time and Twilight were watching the fight with interest. Twilight turned to Time. “Should we stop them?”
Time shrugged. “They’re not actually hurting each other, are they? Think of it as hand-to-hand combat training.” Twilight stared at Time as Legend got pinned underneath Warriors, and screeched, biting his hand in retaliation.
Time stared back. There was a moment of silence, before Time spoke again. “Fifty rupees that Legend wins.”
Twilight sighed, returning his gaze to the fighting pair. “You’re just as bad as the others sometimes, you know that?” Time just raised an eyebrow in question. Twilight groaned, defeated. “I’ll take that bet.”
Wild snorted. Twilight liked to pretend that he was less of a gremlin than the rest of them, but really, he just hid it better.
“Hey, isn’t that what the Warriors was teasing you about the other day?” Wind’s question brought Wild’s attention back to his slate. Showing on the screen was the Gerudo set, displayed on the digital form of Wild himself. “Wait, it’s yours?”
Wild’s hand darted out, covering the younger boy's mouth. “You will tell no one about this.” He hissed, eyes darting around the clearing, checking to see if anyone had heard. It looked like he was in the clear. It wasn’t that he was particularly ashamed of wearing those clothes, but he would rather spare himself the teasing he knew would be imminent if the group found out.
Wind batted his hand away from his mouth, grinning at him mischievously. “Okay, I won’t.” Wild waited, not believing that it would be that easy. “You have to make seafood curry for dinner though.” Wild hummed, considering. It wasn’t as bad as he thought Wind was going to demand.
“Alright,” He acquiesced. He was planning on making Creamy Vegetable Soup tonight, but he thought seafood curry was just as good. It was no trouble for him to switch up the menu. He had a couple of nice Progys in his slate they needed to eat anyways. He would have done this even if Wind just asked him, though, so he wasn’t sure why-
“But you have to make it spicy.” Wind insisted. Ah, there it was.
“Sure.” He shrugged. Most of the others wouldn’t be pleased. Seafood Curry had a lot of goron spice in it, at least it did the way Wild liked to make it. Wind, Legend, Four, and himself were the only ones in the group who could handle spice. He and Wind had grown up eating spicy food, and Legend traveled to very distant lands, building up a tolerance to all sorts of spices. Four could only tolerate spice occasionally. (It varied. Sometimes he couldn’t even handle a spiced meat skewer, and sometimes he inhaled the spiciest food Wild could make. It was very strange.) Most of the others in the group had low spice tolerance.
Usually, Wild acknowledged that fact in his cooking, and cut back on the spice, but since Wind was asking…
Well, he certainly wouldn’t complain.
He handed the slate off to Wind, rising to join Sky next to the fire, to make sure it was at the right temperature for seafood curry.
Another rustle from the bushes around the clearing drew his attention to the returning Hyrule and Four.
“Anything to report, boys?” It was Twilight who called out, as Time was still snickering at the sulking Warriors and his own purse, now fifty rupees heavier.
“Nothing of importance,” It was Four who answered, coming to sit next to Time. “There’s a stream a few minutes away, and we found a set of Bokoblins footprints, but they were days old.”
“Good, now we should-“ Wild’s attention was drawn away from both the fire and Twilight’s response by a call from Wind.
“Hey, Wild! What does this button do?” That sentence made dread well up in Wild’s stomach. There were only so many buttons to push on the slate, and Wild’s mind flashed back to a very crucial detail that he had forgotten.
He spun around, nearly hitting Sky with the stick he had been using to poke the fire. He could barely get out a shrieked “Wait!” Before there was an ominous click, a moment of tense silence, then-
BOOM.
Right. The bomb he had dropped earlier, and had forgotten to dissipate.
He pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling all the world like he was every one of his one hundred and seventeen years. He let out a slow breath, feeling everyone’s eyes on him. Was this what Twilight felt like all the time? He needed to go easier on his mentor.
“That button explodes things, Wind.”
A silent, judgmental stare from Time told him to fix the mess he’d created. With a huff, he heaved himself to his feet, and motioned for Wind to follow him. “Come on, kid. Let’s go do damage control.”
~~~
A/N: You know, writing this made me headcanon that Bokoblins have truly excellent color vision.
Anyways, here's what all the colors mean;
Brown: Average Traveler // White: Sheikah // Red: Yiga // Blue: Hyrule’s Military // Green: Heroes
Blue-Green: Warriors // Red-Green: Legend // White-Green: Sky // The Leader: Time // Wolf-Pelt: Twilight // Youngling: Wind // Green-in-Disguise: Wild // Brown-Green: Hyrule // Four-Color: Four
“shit, shit, shit!” sirius hissed, as he tried to both hurry remus down to the shrieking shack and support him. james was holding him up on the other side, muttering reassurances. “wormy! go down to the shrieking shack, get the doors open. it’s gonna be a close one, boys.” peter nodded, transforming and scurrying off, and as soon as he had gone, you appeared, a determined look on your face. sirius groaned. “y/n, go back to the castle.” you didn’t even bother replying, instead changing into your animagus form. sirius tried to look without looking interested, because while he never wanted you to be an animagus, he’d always wondered what animal you’d be. and... a wolf? remus laughed breathlessly. “of course she’s a wolf.”
you trotted along beside them, eyeing the moon which was becoming rapidly more visible worriedly. finally, you approached the shrieking shack, but remus fell out of his friends’ grasp, hunched over. you whined, pawing him gently, but when he looked up, his eyes were already black. you jumped back, whimpering as he transformed, his screams seemingly endless, until... there was silence.
and then, it began.
remus lunged towards you, jaws snapping on thin air as you leaped out the way. sirius and james quickly transformed, and sirius jumped on the wolf, distracting him so you could get a safe distance away. however, remus shook him off within seconds, advancing to where he was curled up on the floor, drool dripping from his mouth until peter, who had been inside the shrieking shack, scurried over him, nipping his legs. remus roared, swiping at himself to get peter off, but the rat had already vanished into the grass. he looked around, before his eyes focused on you, a guttural snarl coming from his lips as he stalked forward.
steeling yourself, you stayed still until the last second before running off, remus hot on your heels. you headed into the forest, your senses on fire as you leaped over fallen trees with ease. while remus in his wolf form was deadly, he was also pretty loud, and that accompanied with your advanced hearing made things a bit easier. you were just starting to tire when you heard a howl from outside the forest, remus’ attention being shifted immediately. he abandoned you, bounding back to the source of the noise, and you huffed, licking a graze on your hind leg from some thorns as you walked back.
james had briefly transformed back, faking a howl to lead remus away from you. you meant too much to both sirius and your brother, and remus would never forgive himself if he hurt you. a few seconds after he had returned to his stag form, remus appeared from the forest, growling as he saw him. james started to run, but remus easily caught up, and was just about to swipe him when sirius jumped on his back, his claws sinking in. remus roared in pain as he shook sirius off, sirius whimpering as he hit a fallen log. remus ran towards him, paw raised with claws extended, until you threw yourself on top of sirius, howling as your side was torn open.
james butted remus with his antlers to distract him, bounding off as sirius quickly transformed back into a human, bending over you. “oh, y/n, you self-sacrificing idiot. look, you gotta transform back, we’ve got to get you to sick bay.” you did so, wincing as you tried to stand up, clutching your side. “no... i’ve got to help remus...” sirius stared at you, helping you up and ripping a sleeve off his t-shirt, scrunching it up and giving it to you. “don’t be thick, y/n. you need medical help, like now. here, keep pressure on the wound.”
with that, you stumbled up to the castle, nearly giving madam pomfrey a heart attack what with all the blood, and then? then you passed out.
your eyes fluttered open, before squeezing shut again at the bright light invading them. you attempted to bring your hand up to cover your eyes, but there was... something holding it? squinting, you looked at your left hand to see... sirius. and on your right, remus. both were asleep in their respective chairs, snoring away. at the end of the bed, there was a little table nearly overflowing with cards and sweets, and two empty chairs. you smiled, but started to cough, ripping your hand out of remus’ grip to cover your mouth. he jerked up, looking around wildly before his eyes settled on you. tears welled in his eyes, and he jumped on you, hugging you tightly. “i thought i lost you, y/n. you’ve been out for days.” you winced gratefully, shoving him off slightly. “ow, ow, ow. my side, remus, my side.” he sat up immediately. “oops?” he said, leaning over to shake sirius awake.
“five more minutes,” he mumbled, snuggling more into the armchair. you laughed, using your free hand to whack him. “oi, wake up, black. apparently i’ve been out for days, and this is the time you choose to sleep?” immediately his eyes opened to reveal that beautiful grey that you’d been missing, and he sat up, pulling you into a (thankfully gentle) hug. “i’m so glad, you’re okay, you have no idea.” you smiled, nestling into his shoulder until remus cleared his throat pointedly. you jerked back, eyes wide, until sirius laughed. “it’s fine, i told him.” you looked at remus, anxiously awaiting his reaction. “i’m cool, seriously. just, no pda in front of me, alright?” you both nodded, you sighing in relief. “anyway, i’m going to go get pomfrey. you two... talk.”
there was a brief silence once he left, neither of you making eye contact but at the same time refusing to let go of each other’s hand. “so...” you mumbled, but he cut you off. “i’m sorry.”
you looked up, shocked. “what?”
“i’m sorry, y/n. it’s not that i didn’t think you could do it- of course i did, you’re a total badass, i was just so scared. i... i can’t lose you. you’re everything to me.”
you squeezed his hand comfortingly. “hey, it’s okay. i overreacted a bit too, and to be fair, you might have had something to worry about.” you laughed, gesturing at your bandaged side. sirius, however, didn’t laugh. “y/n... it was so deep. there was so much blood, it was everywhere.”
you reached up to cup his face, rubbing his cheek gently. “i’m okay, sirius. we’re all okay.” he nodded, leaning into your hand, and then leaning forward. “...is it okay if i-”
“yes.”
“ugh, i said no pda!”
little bit of me, little bit of you
Part IV | Part I | Part II | Part III
He’s not proud of it, but after spending a week holed up in his apartment, curtains drawn and JARVIS on emergency-only mode, Bucky can’t deny that he’s hiding anymore. He’s been ordering food from the various restaurants in the tower to be delivered to his door, working out on the treadmill in his living room, watching a definitely unhealthy amount of daytime television, and feeling like shit through all of it.
It’s been days since he’s seen or talked to Tony and the boys, and he misses them. He’d been aware that he was spending a lot of time with them, but hadn’t realised just how much until the first day he’d found himself standing in his kitchen, done with everything he’d planned for the day, and it hadn’t even been lunchtime.
And it’s all his own damn fault, too. Tony kissing him had blindsided him, but he’d gone with it, and it had been amazing. Right up until Bucky’d remembered that he’d been lying to Tony for months, and a wave of guilt so intense he’d actually felt sick had nearly knocked him off his feet. He’d torn himself away, seen the blissed out look on Tony’s face starting to turn into one of hurt, and hadn’t even thought about it before literally running away, leaving Tony standing there on the sidewalk, lost and confused.
Like a total idiot, Bucky’d spent weeks and weeks keeping this huge, life changing secret from Tony, scared that he’d lose his friend, his newfound family, if the truth ever came out, only to end up not only losing them anyway, but also denying himself the chance to actually be with Tony.
(More after the break!)
Or ever be a parent to Gabriel. Because even if Bucky admits the truth now, there’s no way in hell Tony will just conveniently forget and forgive everything Bucky has and hasn’t done since meeting them.
“Don’t be so fucking dramatic, jeez,” Steve says, when Bucky tells him as much.
Bucky lifts his face from where he’s got it buried in a couch cushion to glare at him. It’s not like he’d asked Steve to come over—he had, in fact, tried very hard to avoid his dumb best friend, and his dumb, understanding face—but if Steve insists on being here, the least he can do is indulge Buck, and let him feel sorry for himself in peace.
“Shuddup,” Bucky grumbles, “you don’t know what you’re talkin’ about.”
“Yes,” Steve agrees, kicking at Bucky’s legs. “Because you won’t tell me what this super bad, terrible, absolutely unforgivable thing you’ve done actually is.”
Before Bucky can say anything, he holds up his hands, sighing heavily. “You won’t tell me because you don’t want to go behind Tony’s back, I know. And I respect that. But I don’t know how to help you if I don’t even know what’s going on.”
“Didn’t ask for your help,” Bucky mumbles, muffled as he re-buries his face in the cushion. “You just showed up ‘ere.”
“Oh, excuse me,” Steve quips back, all sarcasm. “Next time my brother doesn’t answer my texts and calls for a week, I’ll just move on, and look for a new one instead of going to check what’s wrong.”
Because he’s a stubborn asshole, Bucky stays quiet. Steve sighs, again, and gets up, walking out of the room. But he comes back a few minutes later, setting a mug of, from the smell of it, Bucky’s favourite tea down on the coffee table near Bucky’s head.
The couch dips a moment later, and Steve’s hand lands on Bucky’s back, rubbing up and down slowly. “Listen, Buck. I might not know what exactly is going on, or what’s happened between you and Tony, but I know you’re hurting. Both of you. And Tony can be brash and even mean if he’s angry, but he’s one of the kindest, sweetest, most forgiving people I know. And I really think you owe it to the both of you to at least try and talk to him.”
Steve’s right, of course he is, and Bucky knows it. “Yeah,” he says, “I know. ‘S not easy, though.”
Steve gives his shoulder a sympathetic squeeze. “Never said it was, bud.”
“Ugh,” Bucky groans, and sits up enough to grab his mug, and shoot Steve a look full of feigned annoyance. “Stop makin’ sense. It’s freakin’ me out.”
“Fuck you,” Steve says happily, smiling wildly.
Bucky stays on the couch even after Steve leaves, half dozing, and half trying to come up with a plan that won’t result in Tony never wanting anything to do with him ever again. He’s startled out of his thoughts by a knock on his front door. A quick glance at his phone confirms that it’s still a little early for his dinner to arrive, but he heaves himself up anway. He can go get it, and put it in the oven to stay warm, at least.
The last person he expects to see when he opens the door is Tony, but that’s exactly who he finds. “Uhm.”
Contrary to what Bucky had expected—dreaded, really—all week, Tony doesn’t look angry. Instead, he holds up a bag of takeout, and huffs out a little laugh at the undoubtedly shocked expression on Bucky’s face. “Want to let me in, big guy?”
Bucky steps aside wordlessly, gesturing for Tony to go sit on the couch while he goes to fetch plates and forks from the kitchen. And also take a moment to breathe, and tell himself that freaking out is not what he should be doing right now. Tony seeking him out has to be a good sign.
Probably.
Right?
His little pep talk proves to have been entirely useless when Bucky comes back into the living room, and nearly drops everything he’s carrying when he spots what looks like a copy of a very familiar report sitting on the coffee table next to the fried rice.
“Tony, I—”
“Sit down,” Tony interrupts, firm but not unkind.
Bucky does as he’s told, sitting down as far away on the couch from Tony as possible. He keeps his eyes down, on his own, white-knuckled fingers, unable to look at Tony. His face is burning, he can feel it, and he feels nauseated, not entirely sure he isn’t actually going to throw up if he opens his mouth.
But he doesn’t have to, anyway, because it’s Tony who starts talking while he’s dishing out the food. “Let me start by saying that it wasn’t Tasha’s fault, okay?” Bucky’s confused for a second until Tony continues, “She did what she was supposed to by putting the reports into the database.”
Shit. Bucky hadn’t thought of that; Tony’d started collecting everything they were able to find about HYDRA right after Project Insight, trying to get to the bottom of it, find out the full extent of the corruption and damage. A lot of it had already been public, thanks to Nat uploading it to expose HYDRA in the first place, but they still find new info during missions, from time to time. And dutifully log all of it.
Quietly, Bucky asks, “How’d you figure out that I know?”
“Apart from you literally running away after I kissed you?” There’s amusement in Tony’s voice, and when Bucky finally dares to look up, his eyes are crinkled, one corner of his mouth turned up. “Not to toot my own horn, here, but I can usually tell if people are attracted to me or not. And I was pretty confident that you were, so.”
“I was,” Bucky confirms, swallowing hard. Ducking his head, he adds, “I am.”
Tony nods, and picks up one of the plates. After swallowing a bit of chicken, he says, “So, I figured there had to be another reason. I was going to give you some space, some time—well, a little bit of time. The kids aren’t that patient yet.”
Bucky winces, because yeah. That’s one way to make him feel even more terrible.
Seemingly able to tell, Tony puts his plate back down, and scoots closer to Bucky, putting a hand on his thigh. “I didn’t mean—look. Was it a shitty thing to do, running away like that? Sure. But Bucky, I get it. I don’t particularly like it, and if you ever pull a stunt like that again, I’ll let you deal with getting Theo to bed for a week, but I get it. All right? I do.”
Tentatively, Bucky covers Tony’s hand with his own. “‘M sorry.”
Tony links their fingers together, squeezing gently. “I know. Trust me, I know,” he says, chuckling softly. He cups Bucky’s cheek with his free hand, making Bucky meet his eyes. “Do you have any idea how you look at me? How you look at my kids? All of them, but Gabriel especially? I’ve always been able to tell there is something there, that you care about us—”
“I love you,” Bucky blurts, then winces. But, in for a penny, in for a pound. “I love you. You, the boys. All of you. An’ not just because of Gabriel, you have to believe me.”
“I do,” Tony reassures him softly, resting his forehead against Bucky’s.
Bucky closes his eyes, embarrassed by how close to tears he suddenly is. “I don’t remember. I’ve read that fuckin’ mission report so many times, but I still can’t remember. How do I—what do I—he’s mine, an’ I can’t even remember that night.”
He lets Tony pull him in close, wrapping his arms tightly around Tony’s waist. He buries his face in Tony’s neck, breathing hard, while Tony strokes his hair, lips pressed against the side of Bucky’s face. “Hey, ssh. It doesn’t matter, it’s okay. You’re here now, you’re here with us. We’ll figure it out, okay? We’ll figure it out.”
“I shoulda told you,” Bucky chokes out, clinging harder. “After I found out, I shoulda told you.”
“You should have,” Tony agrees. He pulls back, but only enough so he can see Bucky’s face again. “And I wish you would have, but let’s be real; I wouldn’t have known how to do it, either, if it’d been the other way around. Hell, I don’t know what I would’ve done if I’d found out you’re Gabriel’s father, and hadn’t immediately realised that you already knew. It’s kind of a big thing to have to tell someone.”
Gabriel’s father. Bucky’s Gabriel’s father. It’s not like he hadn’t known, before, but it’s something entirely different to hear Tony say it. Going by the way Tony’s mouth curves up into this tiny, teasing smile, he knows exactly what Bucky’s thinking, and, well.
Bucky really has no choice but to kiss him.
Tony lets out this breath of a laugh against Bucky’s lips, but kisses back eagerly, pressing in close. They keep it chaste, by mutual, unspoken agreement, but it hits Bucky hard nonetheless; there’s no more hiding, no more nagging guilt, because Tony knows, and Tony is happy about it. Tony’s happy that Bucky’s Gabriel’s father, and Tony wants Bucky back.
It’s a heady feeling.
The kiss ends much too soon for Bucky’s liking, with Tony moving back this time around. Bucky makes a noise of complaint, chasing after Tony’s mouth, which makes Tony laugh, and quickly peck his lips again before gently pushing him away.
“Sorry, it’s just,” he says, huffing a little, and turns to look at the front door, which, Bucky notices, is standing slightly ajar. “You’re supposed to be with Steve and Sam.”
The door bangs open fully as Max bounds into the apartment, looking extremely proud of himself. “We snuck away!” he exclaims, and then, gaze zeroing in on the food, asks, “Are there spring rolls?”
“Spring rolls!” Theo chirps excitedly, from his position in Gabriel’s arms. “Food, food, food!”
Gabriel rolls his eyes—and Christ, does he look exactly like Bucky knows he does when he does that—and unceremoniously dumps Theo on the carpet next to the coffee table before plopping down in the seat next to Bucky.
Max and Theo happily dig into the food, but Gabriel is looking between Tony and Bucky, brows furrowed. “Did you make up?”
Tony looks up from where he’s trying to keep Theo’s fingers out of the noodle carton, face going all soft and fond. “Yes, sweetheart, we did.”
Gabriel relaxes visibly, but keeps looking at Bucky for confirmation. Bucky has to clear his throat before he can say, “We’re fine, I promise.”
“Finally,” Gabriel mutters, but he looks pleased, and only complains the normal teenage amount when Bucky pulls him into a hug, and messes up his hair.
Bucky has no idea when or how he and Tony are going to tell him and the little ones about the changes in their relationship, or about Bucky being his biological father, and about how Gabriel came to be. But he knows, whatever happens, however they decide to handle it, he won’t have to do it alone, because Tony will be right there by his side.
And that’s enough for now.
Roleplay Server Log #245
“Deerheart vs DN”
-Le next morning-
[Lie] - CP... We have to get up
[CP] - Nope
[Lie] - CP, I have animals to tend to
[CP] - Call Steffan over chat and have him do it
[Lie] Manages to turn so she's looking at her husband- That deletion...  It really scared you, didn't it...
[CP] Shifts uncomfortable but his wife knows it's a confirmation-
[Lie] Runs her hand through his hair- It's alright, he can't get you here.  Deleting your mobs drew the attention of Microsoft so Jeb was actually able to get us his identification number.  Doc has black listed him, he cannot get you here
[CP] - Lie...  He threatened to go after Stevie next...
[Lie] - Oh...
[Steve] Taps on the door with TLOT standing behind him-
[Lie] Yells from bedroom- Come in!
[Steve] Squeaks the door open - You guys decent?
[Lie] - Yeah, just a little stuck in bed
[TLOT] My favorite place.
[Steve] Scoots into the room sheepishly. He looks ready to run-
[CP] - What do you fuckers want?
[TLOT] Just to tell you we're glad you're all better. And... make a delivery.
[CP] - A delivery?
[Steve] Pulls out a huge stack of papers and sets them gingerly on the bed- It's all done. - Then he darts behind his husband fearfully.
[CP] Growls-
[Lie] - Shush, I'm the one who had to take care of your mobs and I have no idea how to do that sort of stuff
[Steve] I didn't grant any of the more extravagant requests! I promise!
[CP] Grumbles-
[Lie] - Do you want me to take the paper work back to Winston?
[CP] - No!
[TLOT] Especially since he's free to just come here and get them. Your mobs are in a diminished state, Cp. For the record, I'm sure Doc's offer to put them on a safe seed they can wreck is still valid.
[Lie] - I told your mobs to lay low and stay hidden...  But I'm not sure how well they'll listen
[CP] - Most of them should, but some will probably still be idiots and go out
[TLOT] Then it will likely be survival of the smartest. As far as your NOTCH knows, provided their are no traitors amongst them, you are dead. That does give us a small advantage.
[CP] - But that also means until we're ready to strike, I can't return there
[TLOT] Are you sure you don't want to move them? There's a chance your NOTCH may amuse himself by just deleting them all.
[CP] - No, he was doing that to draw my attention, to draw me out
[TLOT] If you say so. He seems a cruel and calculating sort. I wouldn't be suprised if he just decided to go after everyone you love as well.
[CP] Mumbles something, he remembers him threatening to go after Stevie next-
[TLOT] Picks up on the thought - monster. Well he can't get in and Stevie has no wish to get out, so that settles that.
[CP] - That doesn't change the fact that he threatened it, he's never done anything malicious towards Stevie before
[TLOT] Stevie was on his side before.
[CP] - But which side is he on now?  Certainly not mine
[TLOT] He is more on your side then you realize. And at the least, he's is on Markus's side, and Markus dotes on you. He'll also give Stevie crap if he's nasty to you.
[CP] Grumbles-
[Lie] - Anyways, thank you for doing the paper work Steve, I would have just gotten really lost on it
[Steve] You're welcome. - Stays firmly behind TLOT-
[CP] - Will you two fuck off now?
[Lie] - CP we have to get out of bed, my animals still need to be tended to
[TLOT] She has a good point Cp. I know you're worried, but she's safe here. And so are you.
[CP] - Don't care
[Lie] - CP!
[Steve] Sneaks towards the door -
[TLOT] Oh, just get up. I'm sure Lie is hungry too, and it's a lovely day outside.
[CP] Grumbles but does release his wife-
[Lie] Gives CP a quick kiss on the forehead before getting out of bed and looking for her shoes-
[TLOT] Offers Cp a hand - How are you feeling?
[CP] - I'm fine- Bat's TLOT's hand away
[TLOT] Shakes his head- Same as always.
[Lie] Pulls on her boots and heads outside, running a little behind schedule-
[CP] Groans but does get out of the bed and follows her, giving Steve a brief glare-
[Steve] Shrinks a bit and gets out of his way.
[TLOT] Just follows them both outside and gives a languid strech.
[Notch] Is sprinkling some fish flakes into the tiny koi pond.
[Lie] - Morning Notch- She has to speak kinda loudly to be heard over her hungry barking dogs
[Notch] Good morning Lie! You look chipper.
[Lie] - Relieved to have my husband back
[TLOT] Now all they need is a night of passion and both of them will be chipper.
[Steve] Snickers -
[Notch] His thought is a bit too loud. A passionate night with Cp rather then Doc-
[CP] Catches the thought- WHAT WAS THAT!?
[Notch] Jumps in fright-
[CP] Takes to flight and quickly rushes of towards the castle-
[Lie] - Oh dear...
[Notch] What did I do?!
[Lie] - You thought about yesterday, that's all
[TLOT] Yesterday?
[Doc] Is out in the garden using the black hoe to plant some seeds. Hir expression is melancholy and thoughtful. But for the moment he's not around and it's just hir and Yaunfen romping in the flowers.
[CP] - DOC!- He lands hard, causing the grass to be removed from the block he landed on
[Yaunfen] - Big fire!
[CP] - You shut the fuck up
[Doc] Is so startled they end up holding the hoe in front of them like a weapon and just shaking-
[CP] Notices it- The fuck is that?
[Doc] It's a.... hoe?
[CP] Growls- Why do you have it?
[Doc] Because... Tungsten made it, and Lie said you already had one someplace?
[CP] Yanks it from Doc's grasp to look at it more closely, completely forgetting his original reason for coming-
-The hoe is heavily pixelated, but the whirling designs are still visible in the color gradients-
[CP] Frowns as he turns it over, his mind now preoccupied with something else/  He simply teleports off with the hoe-
[Yaunfen] - Where big fire go?
[Doc] I don't know. But I do have the sense I just dodged a fireball. Dammit. He better give that back. I really like that tool.
-The middle of the night-
[CP] Had spent the day avoiding everyone, staying mostly down in his private chambers where he had passed the paperwork back to Winston and had Winston bring him something else.  Once certain his wife was asleep he crept out of the house and towards the village-
[CP] Sticks to the shadows as he makes his way towards the blacksmiths house, lipping inside and looking around.  It's relatively clean and he can see the bed from the entrance.  He silently stalks closer and looks at the two figures sleeping soundly in the bed.  With a quiet growl he grabs Tungsten and teleports the smith outside and pushes him up against a tree-
[Tungsten] Screams in fear - Cp!
[TLOT] Bolts out of bed, feeling his distress, and throwing in his clothes before running out
[CP] - How?
[Tungsten] How what?! What do you want from me?!
[CP] Pulls out the obsidian hoe-
[Tungsten] Shrinks as if he's about to be hit- Lie said you already had one and it was okay for Doc to take it!
[CP] - How did you know what it looked like?- He pushes on Tungsten a bit harder
[Tungsten] Please don't hurt me! I fixed your other tools! I just mimicked the patterns on them so it would match!
[CP] growls darkly- What is your family line?
[Tungsten] I-I!
[TLOT] Appears beside them- Cp, why are you scaring my favorite blacksmith?
[CP] - None of your fucking business!
[TLOT] He's under my protection, and he's a friend, so it is my business.
[Tungsten] I don't know! Zombies got my parents when I was small!
[CP] Scowls and shoves Tungsten away-
[Tungsten] Why- why do you want to know about my family?
[CP] Scowls and puts Tungsten to sleep-
[TLOT] If you put him in a nightmare for fixing your tools you and me are going to have words. What do you want from him anyway?
[CP] - Have you seen this?- He holds the hoe out
[TLOT] Yes? Doc was using it this morning. It's rather nice, isn't it?
[CP] - This isn't the one Tungsten, it's the original...  They look the same
[TLOT] Squints at it- oh. Well when I saw it it was covered in dirt.
[CP] - TLOT, the seed that this smith came from...  When a true master came along, that ability was genetic.  It would skip many generations before resurfacing again.  Technically a normal black smith shouldn't be able to manipulate Obsidian
[TLOT] Ah. But that's your seed. On mine, well, sometimes you find special Testificates. Librarians that can write as well as curate books, tailors who can add a bit of decoration, or a blacksmith who can craft a little bit off the table. They're well respected and make mostly wedding jewelry. Tungsten came to us because of Drilby. He values his lover more then money or notoriety.
[CP] - That may or may not be true TLOT...  Very, very rarely there are testificates which can jump seeds
[TLOT] It's true because I've seen it. Ive read far more Testificate minds then the ones who live here. Him specifically? Who knows?
[CP] - It's no use if he can't remember his family lineage
[TLOT] Even if you're right, what difference would it make?
[CP] - Because if your smith is what I suspect...
[TLOT] Yes?
[CP] Frowns- Nevermind, it's pointless if it can't be proven
[TLOT] Do you think he's some kind of legendary smith Cp? I thought you had no interest in Testificates anyway?
[CP] - Shut up- He turns around and starts walking off
[TLOT] Cp, let the poor man out of the dream. And give me Doc's hoe if you have it. You don't need both.
[CP] Flings the newer hoe at TLOT- He'll wake at dawn
[TLOT] Thank you. And the next time you need to know something, come ask me before you rough up my villagers. By the by, why were you yelling at Doc anyway?
[CP] - FUCK!  I forgot to do that
[TLOT] Do what? Don't give hir a hard time for no reason. Dn is making hir miserable enough as it is
[CP] - That fucker did something to my wife
[TLOT] Don't be ridiculous Doc would never harm Lie in any way.
[CP] Didn't say xe harmed her!
[TLOT] then why are you obviously mad?
[CP] Growls and gives a mental flash of what he heard in Notch's mind-
[TLOT] oh yes. I'm so sure Doc decided to have a torrid affair with your wife while you and Cn tried to kill eachother in the next room. Don't be silly. It has to be a misunderstanding.
[CP] Growls-
[TLOT] Go talk to Doc if that will make you feel better. But hold your temper. You know
they're no good at lying anyway.
[CP] Flips TLOT off as he walks off-
[Doc] Has woken up from a rather unpleasant dream and is sitting at the kitchen table in the dark, staring morosely at a cup of tea
[CP] Wanders into the castle sending out a mental burst to find Doc-
[Doc] Barely pings back as anything because their energy is so low.
[CP] Still manages to pick up on it and storms down into the kitchen- Dooooc...
[Doc] flat and lifeless- what is it Cp?
[CP] - The fuck did you do to my wife!?
[Doc] listless- what are you talking about Cp?
[CP] - You tell me, Notch had some stray thoughts
[Doc] Thinks for a long moment- oh. I did give her some  orgasams because she was stressed out.
[CP] Bristles and growls-
[Doc] I barely touched her, it was just a favor for a good friend. Nothing more.
[CP] - I DON'T CARE!
[Doc] slumps down and puts hir chin on her arms- it was purely for her benefit Cp. Do you seriously consider me a threat to your marriage when I have a mate and child of my own already?
[CP] - Growls- You touched her...
[Doc] I put one gloved hand on her fully clothed body Cp.
[CP] - SO!?
[Dn] So they have no common sense or boundaries as usual- said in an oily smug tone from a shadowed doorway.
[Doc] Winces as though they'd been struck.
[CP] - FUCK OFF!
[Dn] Just raises an eyebrow and chuckles softly-
[CP] - You really don't want to be around me right now fucktard-
[Dn] Not everything is about you.
[Doc] Just go away Dn... Please...
[Dn] No.
[CP] Quickly turns and outright punches DN in the face, hard-
[Dn] is driven backwards by the blow and falls down the steps to the landing of Lj's old room.
[CP] Tosses a couple blocks of bedrock into the entranceway-
[Doc] Holds hirself unhappily - I hate him so much...
[CP] - Seriously, you were so happy earlier, so fuckin stop this pity party
[Doc] Starts to cry, just quietly.
[CP] - Oh now what the fuck is wrong with you?
[Doc] softly- I'm pretty sure you don't care about my problems Cp, so why even ask?
[CP] - Because it's not as fun to berate you when you're like this
[Doc] Sorry, I can't entertain everyone else all the time...
[CP] - Well aren't you snarky tonight
[Doc] quietly- I don't mean to be. But I have feelings too.
[CP] - Then go fucking talk to TLOT, I know he's awake
[Doc] He can sympathize, as I think you could if you wanted too. But in the end, its my problem to deal with...
[CP] - So you're allowed to pry into other's problems, but the same can't be done to you?
[Doc] If you want to help, feel free. But I don't expect anything from anyone.
[CP] - Does it involve beating the crap out of you NOTCH?  Because that felt really good...  Took my mind off the anger a bit
[Doc] almost a whisper- I wish someone would delete him...
[CP] - Well what's stopping you?
[Doc] I don't know how to even begin to do that. If you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly a killer.
[CP] - Then consult the ones who are
[Doc] Looks him dead in the eyes with a pleading expression. Xe knows the words but can't bring hirself to speak them.
[CP] - Say it Doc- He's delighting in this a bit
[Doc] I can't...
[CP] - Then find me when you can- He turns to leave
[Doc] Takes a breath but the words die on hir lips.
[CP] Is heading up the stairs-
[Doc] Just watches him go.
[Dn] is waiting at the top of the stairs- Are you done?
[CP] Goes to punch him again-
[Dn] Dodges out of the way this time - are you defending them? Or just indulging your love of punching people?
[CP] - Bit of both
[Dn] Backs away into the shadows- then do it elsewhere. I have work of my own to conduct.
[CP] - Nah, I really feel like killing you
[Dn] You really are quite dull.
[CP] - I think the others would disagree
[CP] Lunges at DN and drives his pick through the NOTCH- Believe me, I'm in the mood to kill any NOTCH- He yanks the pick out and watches DN die
/ -Player DarkNOTCH was killed by CreepyPastaHerobrine- /
[Splender] Is walking along after Pinwheel has fallen asleep.  He's just taking a stroll to enjoy the night and has wandered a ways-
[Zly Wilk] - Is relaxing in a hammock slung between two trees a little way of the path, His battered coat slung over a low branch nearby. The sleeves of his maroon shirt rolled to the elbows and the high collar unbuttoned.  He holds in his hands a battered black guitar.
As he idily strummed the instrument, he looks down at the woman sitting with her back against the tree near him.
[Lazur] - The light blue skinned woman was sitting crosslegged in the grass, now dressed in a leather corset nearly as dark red as her partner's shirt, and dark blue leather tights with black combat boots.
She is concentrating deeply on a display of code scrolling through the air in front  of her.
[Zly Wilk] Still nothing?
[Lazur] - shakes her head
[Zly Wilk] Well... Why did you mess with your translation matrix?
[Lazur] Myslalem, ze moge zmodyfikowac mój plik, aby mialo to sens.
[Zly Wilk] I told you it wasn't making  sense. I can translate too, you know.
[Lazur] - glares at Zly before making more tweaks to her code. She goes to speak and just makes a sound like static before slapping a hand over her mouth in frustration and embarrassment.
[Zly Wilk] Why not ask our new Doctor friend or hir mate?
[Lazur] - speaks in a strange guttural tongue before looking annoyed and flappig her hands in an exasperated gesture.
[Zly Wilk] Well we are NOT in the field, and it don't hurt to ask for a hand now and again.
-There's just the barest amount of interference from Splender's EMP field which flickers across the code-
[Lazur] - notices the distortion, coughs and makes a sour face.
[Zly Wilk] -cautiously gets up from his Hammock - Hello?
[Splender] Heard their voices- Oh!  Hello?  Is someone there?
[Zly Wik] -walks out of the woods with Lazur following grumpily behind - Hello.... My, you are tall, my colorful friend!
[Splender] Smiles broadly- Hello!  My name is Splender!
[Zly Wilk] Smiles back - I'm Zly Wilk, this is my partner, Lazur. Call me Zly...
We've been exploring this seed since just after Doc took us in.
[Splender] - Oh that's wonderful!  I go off exploring, not much recently since Pinwheel has hatched...
[Lazur] has slightly turned away and is still messing with her code
[Zly Wilk] Pinwheel? Is this a pet of yours?
[Splender] - Oh!  You don't know, do you...  Doc went and gathered abandoned Ender dragon eggs from regular and modded seeds and then hatched them!  Pinwheel is the one I'm taking care of.  She's an adorable, sweet, ball of rainbows!
[Zly Wilk] Dragons? That fantastic! I haven't seen a seed with dragons in ages.
[Lazur] - speaks in short bursts of static, shakes her head, goes back to coding
[Zly Wilk] good point... Splender, are any of them dangerous?
[Splender] - Weeeeeeeell...  Pinwheel may be venomous to everyone except me...
[Zly Wilk] -slowly - gooood to know....
[Lazur] - makes a sound like feedback, drops her head in defeat-
[Splender] - Is everything alright with her?
[Zly Wilk] don't mind her... We came across this rather odd wither skeleton talking in giberish. Lazur thought her translation program was malfunctioning, and tried to fix it.
[Splender] - Ah, if you need a translation program CP has one!
[Lazur] -makes an approximation of laughter
[Zly Wilk] Thank you, Splender... But Lazur is.... Stubborn and wants to fix it I her own. Besides, i can understand her and translate if needed until she does.
[Splender] - Well, there's always Doc, or Deer...  Oh!  Flux might be able to help!
[Zly Wilk] sounds like we missed a couple more new arrivals since we went on our little adventure.... I'll have to make my way over to the castle and check with Doc as soon as my friend here finally gives up.
[Lazur] forms a small ball of energy and paps it harmlessly at the back of Zly's head where it makes his already unruly hair poof up with static electricity.
[Splender] - I CAN TAKE US THERE RIGHT NOW!- He reaches for them with his tendrils
[Lazur] squaks in surprise and quickly equips matching leather armor pieces on her arms and a glowing blue sword forms in her hand.
[Zly Wilk] LAZUR NO!   Sorry, Splender... We had a bad experience on a Japanese server once... I think we will walk as soon as we clean up our little camp.
[Splender] Gets sad- Oh...  I'm sorry...  I don't mean any harm...
[Zly Wilk] No, no harm my friend. We are well met today. Say, where is this dragon of yours?
[Splender] - Sleeping at home, my house is in the water near Doc's castle!
[Zly Wilk] Then we will be sure to visit once we go that way.
[Lazur] -puts away her weapon and armor, smiles and nods, feeling self conscious about her reaction
[Splender] Points towards the horizon- If you keep going that way you'll run into Gem's house and just past that should be area's you know, like Lie's house!
[Zly Wilk] Ah... Wonderful. Exploring is great, but it's already great to get back to familiar surroundings. So glad we met, my friend.
[Splender] - I hope to see you around more!  I wonder how CP is doing now?
[Zly Wilk] CP? What happened? He pick a fight he couldn't finish? I know there are other powerful brines here.
[Splender] - He was deleted by his NOTCH.  Luckily Doc had given him some alterations and Lie had a single pixel of him.  He's been regrowing from it, last I saw he was a little child
[Zly Wilk] - looks startled for a moment as an old memory flashes across his mind - I'm sorry. I had no idea. As much of an ass as he can be, he didn't deserve that fate.
[Lazur] puts a comforting hands on his shoulder.
[Zly Wilk] ..... Did you say a child? - chuckles- oh that at least would have been a sight to see. Little CP and Stevie playing.
[Splender] - Either Notch or Doc should probably have pictures, although CP was more focused on fighting CN
[Zly Wilk] -figuring he will get caught up on these new additions when he gets to the castle- well, kids will be kids.  How did Markus handle a kid CP, a child Stevie, and this CN?
[Splender] - Oh!  Stevie's an adult so that wasn't a problem, and Lie was able to help with CN and CP
[Lazur] - makes a surprised drod-like whistle noise
[Zly Wilk] I agree. Wow. Always something exciting going on around here.
[Splender] - Indeed!  Are you sure the two of you don't want any help?
[Zly Wilk] Thank you, but not just yet. I owe it to Lazur to try to fix her coding I her own, and we have a couple other things we want  to investigate before we head over.
[Splender] - Alright, but if you want someone to secretively fix it, I would suggest Flux, from what I've gathered she may just be the oldest embodiment of a server...
[Lazur] -grumbling in Q-bert-
[Zly Wilk] Thanks, Splender. I will definitely keep that in mind. We are headed back to our camp now, but we will see you again soon I am sure.
[Splender] - Alright!  Have fun!- He waves one of his belled tendrils and teleports off-
[Zly Wilk] come on, Blue... Let's get back to camp.
-the pair make their way back into the woods.-
[Doc] Heads into town with Deerheart and Yaunfen in tow. Xe's trying to ignore Dn trailing behind.
-Testificates- Are rather unnerved by him and give Dn a wide berth.
[Drilby] Is trimming the grass outside the forge and hails them-
[Doc] You look annoyed...
[Drilby] Cp dragged my husband out of bed to yell at him.
[Doc] I know the feeling...
[Deer] - Was he yelling about the tools?
[Drilby] Yeees.
[Doc] Figures.
[Yaunfen] - Big fire was mad yesterday
[Doc] It's just been a bad week all around.
[Deer] Puts a gentle hand on Doc's arm- It's okay, we're here
[Doc] I know. - But xe still looks unhappy.
[Dn] Is radiating smug and intentionally scowls at some of the children so they'll run away.
[Splender] Senses the children's fear and nervousness and teleports to the village quickly-
[Drilby] He kept asking about Tungsten's family too. He's a bit shaken up.
[Deer] - His family?
[Drilby] Yeah, I don't get it either.
[Deer] - Well give Tungsten our well wishes
[Dn] Are we done yet?
[Doc] Snaps at him- No one asked you to come!
[Dn] You don't get to ask. I won't listen anyway. I just do what needs to be done.
[Drilby] I will, he's just staying inside today.
[Deer] - Come on Doc, let's get our stuff for our picnic
[Doc] Shivers with frustration- Yes. Let's.
[Dn] Snorts-
[Yaunfen] - Cookies!  Cookies!
[Doc] Muddles through the usual negotiations. It's obvious xe's distracted but trying to put on a brave face.
[Deer] Keeps glaring at DN-
[Dn] Ignores her.
[Lie] Has come into town to see if there's anything of interest to trade today-
[Doc] Happens to spot her and gives a tired wave.
[Lie] Smiles and approaches- Hey, is everything okay?
[Doc] Shrugs and hir eyes flick back to where Dn is standing. - Cp is mad at me for helping you with your little issue the other day.
[Lie] - I'll talk to him, I hope he didn't yell at you to much?
[Doc] He caught me with the hoe Tungsten made and that distracted him a bit.
[Lie] - Is Tungsten okay?
[Doc] He got yelled at too apparently, but otherwise yes.
[Lie] - I'll apologize to them later...  Hey Doc?  Weren't there parrots added this last update?
[Doc] Yes. I haven't messed with them myself though.
[Lie] - Do you think you could spawn a few over by my place?  I think CN would like the feathers...
[Doc] Sure... Why not. - Looks back at hir lover and child - Shouldn't take long. Okay?
[Deer] - Go ahead, we'll be right behind you
[Doc] Gestures for Lie to lead.
[Dn] Just stays silently a few steps behind, his black eyes never leaving Doc.
[Lie] Leads them outside, she can see CP laying on the roof of the house-
[Doc] Sighs resignedly- where do you want them Lie?
[Lie] - Maybe in the green house?
[Dn] Don't just spawn things for players. Some admin you are. She should have to hunt for them herself.
[Doc] Nobody asked you!
[Lie] - They're not for me, it's for CN's feather collection
[Deer] - Where is CN?
[Lie] - Playing with my wolves
[Dn] snorts- try not to screw it up
[Doc] is shaking -
[CP] Is watching carefully from the roof-
[Doc] is trying to watch Dn and retrieve the egg at the same time and taps the wrong one. With a horrible wail a ghast appears and screams in unholy torment knocking hir over- [Dn] Good job.
[CP] Concerned for his wife's safety lunges at the ghast and pounds it into the ground-
[Deer] - Doc! Are you alright?
[Doc] Can't take hir eyes off Dn. He's not moving but mentally he's suddenly far too close.
[CP] Disposes of the ghast, collecting it's tear- I'm sure GK could find a use for this...
[Dn] I told you so...
[Deer] - Leave...
[Dn] Never.
[Deer] - Then be removed
[Dn] just starts laughing-
[Deer] Stands up, as she does she begins to glow, something which has not happened in a very long time-
[Lie] - Deer?
[Dn] Let's see what you can do you insipid chimera.
[Deer] - A long time ago, I gave a life back...  It's time to pay for that by taking a life in return
[Deer] The server is quick to bend to Deer's will, giving her access to every bit of code.  Her hands flick upwards, towards DN's core.  She can see every part of his coding as she looks for every important part.  A cold clutching sensation grips DN in the center of his chest as Deer grips his code.  Visible only to Deer is the code as it comes towards her and she digs her fingers into it.  Every part of her is screaming to not destroy code but she pushes past it.  She knows there will be some form of repercussion but she can't stand by any longer and watch Doc suffer.  Her fingers dig into the code and begin tearing it apart with a bit of difficulty, but the effect is immediate.  DN falls to the ground, his body literally being torn apart right before them-
[CP] Tenses as he watches this happen, fear beginning to grip him-
[CN] Hears the commotion and looks from inside the dog pen- DN!
[Flux] Feels what Deer is doing and quickly rushes outside- Deer!  Stop!
[Dn] Shrieks horribly as he's pulled apart at the core. The grass around him freezes and dies and his remaining bits despawn. Nothing remains but a bit of churned up mud and soil. [Doc] Deerheart... I can't believe... You did that for me...- hir eyes overflow with grateful tears- -There's a loud beep and the chat begins to scroll with commands and system stat information. - Error NOTCHAI / 198710-36488-46224 deleted by host - exercising secondary protocols for Herobrine type entity generated after [date redacted] - Generating new AI - Firewall bypass enacted for local spawn - generation public static float multiplier set - true - type set NOTCHAI / random - 2% complete...
[Doc] NO! Make it stop!
- Generation 10% complete -
[Deer] - I'M TRYING!
[Flux] - Deer, calm down!  Panicking will not help you
[Notch] - runs outside- What the hell is going on?!
[CN] Is crying-
[Deer] - Flux help!
[Flux] - Listen to me Deer, you need to find the file that's being formed
- generation 20% -
[Deer] Scrambles to find the file, accidentally briefly switching the colors of blocks in her haste-
[Doc] Tries to help her- Markus? What's going on?!
[Notch] I don't know!
[Deer] - I CAN'T FIND IT!
[Flux] Breath Deer, this is your seed, your extended body, you can find it
[CP] Quietly grabs his wife and teleports off with Lie-
[Deer] Turns on the rain and then changes it to snow-
[Flux] - Deer you must calm down
- generation 50% -
[Doc] over chat - we may be in serious trouble! All Brines be ready to fight! NOTCH AI incoming at spawn!
[Deer] Is still panicking and accidentally goes right past the file-
- generation 70% -
[Doc] It's too late! We have to be there when it comes in! Come on!
[Deer] Falls to her knees- I'm so sorry
[TLOT] is terrified but ready to fight and already at the spawn.
[Steve] Also grimly waiting with his Enderpearl sword
[Flux] - Go on, I'll keep an eye on Deer
[Doc] Don't be sorry! Be a dragon! We need you! - Xe transforms with a roar
[Deer] - I can't...
[gem] -is circling in the sky at spawn with her guardians with out her bracelets-
[Doc] You just killed the worst thing that ever happened to me. Fight with me now, I believe in you!
[Flux] Holds a small ball of purple energy out to Doc- Take this, it will taint what ever appears if necessary, but don't hold onto it too long
[Deer] - I'm sorry, I can't...- The glow is fading and her colors seem to be growing duller
[Lazur] - teleports with Zly to the spawn, both ready for action.
[Stevie] Heard the call and rushes towards spawn-
[Doc] Grabs Deerheart and puts hir firmly on hir shoulders and snatches up Yaunfen as well. - I have my own bad energy Flux, thank you though! - Xe rushes off
[Deer] Is growing non responsive, her actions taking a toll on her-
- generation 90% -
[Flux] Shakes her head and reaches down to the ground, digging her fingers into the dirt and grass, concentrating- I will help you my student, give me your burden for now so that you may recover- She feels the seed resist until it submits to her will, granting her the control
[Doc] is waiting at the spawn with hir teeth full of statick - whatever happens, stay on my back, both of you.
[Yaunfen] - Mama isn't talking Mada...
[Doc] Mama needs to rest. She made the cold meanie go away forever.
[Yaunfen] Scared whimper-
[Deer] Passes out and begins sliding off of Doc-
[Doc] Steadies her with hir tail- hold onto her Yaunfen
[Yaunfen] - Okay Mada
[Zly Wilk] -stands back to back with Lazur, glowing bo staff at the ready.
[Stevie] Looks at TLOT and Steve- Where's brother?
[Crim] - Hears all the commotion and races toward the sounds.
[Lazur] has her sword leveled and equips her armor and a shield along her forearm with glowing blue blades along the edges. Her voice files haven't been repaired yet, but she knows the time for talking has passed for the moment.
[gem] -is making a big circle of red and purple jagged lasers where she is in the sky-
-zwoop, Mix has done the appear with sky, firebird, and flowey -
-they're here to help™-
[Crim] - finds the others, but stays towards the back, out of the way but bares his fangs, ready to help.
[HG] -has shown up in the back to help even though all he can be is a distraction if needed-
- generation 100% complete NOTCHAI spawn successful -
