a really close friend of my family passed away the other day. close to where i would send school pics of my kids, at their request. they consider my kids on the same level as their great-grand kids. i'd lost touch with them, personally, but my mom kept me up-to-date with how they were.

like i legit cried when mom told me he'd passed. and i feel really bad that i won't be able to go to the viewing/funeral. i've asked my mom to give the wife my love/condolences; i feel like i should send a card (with most recent kids pics). otoh i feel like it won't be enough to show how much i respected him and love them both.

i'm probably overthinking the whole thing. and will send a card (she's of the generation that would expect/appreciate it). but it's going to weigh on my heart for a while.

I miss those silent calls at times... I don't necessarily miss anything else but I miss saying I didn't want to be alone and have my phone ring.

More often than not we'd just sit in silence but knowing someone was on the other end of the line, listen to them readjust or watching something... It was comforting.

I'm here to say that everything's going to be okay. if a miserable little creature tries to make you sad for the sake of making you feel sad, don't give em that power. be happy unapologetically, do things that you know are kind and right, don't allow shitty people to get into your head and make you think depressive thoughts.

ugh I wanna get back to writing but I feel like writing smut. and it would be cool really, but... like... I don't write in English (I'm too shy and anxious about f-cking it up). my first language is Polish but I find it so unsexy and cringe, like how do I even start?

I know so many sentences that sound good and hot in English but when I think about translating them (and if I want my friends to read it, I need the whole thing in Polish), I just loose all motivation bc of how terrible it sounds. 😫😭
