its heartbreaking how arthur tries, so hard, on numerous occasions, to get dutch to be the man he knew dutch, or believed dutch to be, the man who stood up for the little man, who took from the rich and gave to the poor, who raised him, loved him, is the reason arthur is the man that he is. he continues to try, he begs and pleads with him, no matter how many times dutch spits on his efforts, he tries so hard, having some hope that the man is still in there somewhere, only to be prove wrong again and again. yet, he still holds out hope, he still tries, even when he's dying, he still warns dutch, and pleads with him to believe, even till the bitter end and god.

it's so heartbreaking how loyal arthur is, and was, and how it doesn't matter if he's loyal, if he follows dutch and abandons everything, his love, his family, for dutch, it doesn't matter in the end as he still chose a man so vile, who he only knew for six months, a man who has only ever fed his ego, a man who actively sold the gang out for his greed over his son who loved him.

Some of y'all are grown ass fucking adults who didn't pay attention in English class and make it OUR problem now. No, somebody is not a bad person for liking a villain character. Human morality is not black and white like that, and all you are doing is stripping writers of our chance to make you think for once in your goddamn life. Antagonists play a role more than antagonizing. They're meant to tell you something about yourself, about the world, about relationships.

Just because I think a character is interesting will never ever mean I condone or agree with the things they do. It's fiction, in real life I would despise them, but because they're not real I can toy with them in Google docs like a little puppet. This is not the 1600s anymore where you're terrified to make one wrong move lest you be sent straight to hell do not pass go do not collect 200 dollars.

If you're going to be an avid consumer of media, at least learn how to analyze it. Don't be reactionary xitter users, please?

BUT Micah is a bad person. We all agree. We shan't defend the things he does or believes because despite being unfortunately average opinions of the time, his actions do little but hurt the people around him.

YET he's just some guy, at the end of the day. He's a reflection of Arthur, of who he could potentially have been if his father hadn't been hanged and had kept him around. Arthur has the same potential to be Micah as Micah has to be Arthur. Hell, his brother left and started a family, he could've done so as well. The game is about choice. It's about actively choosing to do the right thing, even if the right thing is a bit questionable sometimes. You cannot in good faith aim your staunch moral opinions toward this game. You miss so much nuance and important conversation that the writers wanted you to have. Arthur isn't some golden retriever good boy, he's done terrible things and acknowledges that. He beat a man with a terminal illness to death over like thirty bucks, and he thought nothing of it until he got sick himself. Arthur had his chances to leave too, but he dug his heels in the same as Micah did, he refused to take that opportunity and resigned himself to being a violent arm of the gang.

Kill the puritan worms in your brains guys. Please. Use the thinking meat, that's what it's there for.

What if a part of the reason that Jance had their photoshoot together was that one of them (my bet is on Nace) was the slightest bit uncomfortable with modelling so he asked Damon about taking an emotional support person with him onto the set ... And then both Jan and Nace showed up for the shoot 🥹

Disclaimer: I want to admit I am a bit behind on the essays and interpretations about the Damon Baker pictures so take what I say here with a grain of (weak) salt (also given that I dont know these guys personally so this is "just" my little fluff theory)

Random She Ra thought

Ok, so I've had this thought/theory/idea in my brain for about a year now.

So, Angella is immortal, so she can survive without food and water, right?

And now that they're in the larger galaxy they can create stable portals, correct?

So, what if they figured out how to make a portal to Angella and got her out. Like, I bet Entrapta could program a stable portal to get to whatever the weird dimension is so the others could get Angella out. I've started picturing like Adora, Catra, and maybe Bow teaming up with Entrapta to do this to surprise Glimmer and Micah.

I would love to see a fanfic of this and might write one at some point, but no promises.

something i think rdr2 fans should talk about more is what if john didnt get arrested in the saint denis bank robbery? what if he was on that boat when it started to go down? i mean, it was already shocking to me that bill, dutch, javier and micah managed to get themselves on a lifeboat/smaller boat that quick, and i personally have my doubts about if john would be able to do that, not to mention that couldve easily been tipped multiple times on the way to guarma. i just think although it wasn’t ideal, him getting arrested was probably better then him ending up on the boat. as soon as john gets into contact with water, especially in that situation where there is absolutely nothing and no one to save him, he’s dead. i mean, even arthur was drowning, he wouldn’t be able to help, and anything that he couldve even attempted to use to keep himself afloat was sinking or out of reach.

yeah no, it’s a scary thing to think about.
