“I have a meeting,” you tell him, struggling against the hand that holds you. Against the body that lays flush against your twitching frame, screaming at you to listen.

The neediness of his voice is infectious. Like a disease, it pushes into your ears, taking over your mind. In an instant, every productive thought is obscured by the blooming of temptation. The pulsing pain develops between your thighs as he dips a set of fingers to ghost the edges of your entrance. It aches with newfound demand. The sudden feeling ripping through your chest; making you gasp at the touch of calloused skin slipping through soft folds.

“They can’t hear you,” he reminds you then, using his thumb to graze the outside of you.

It pulls you back in again —the sensations of him wrapped around, fucking into you with his desperate hand. Each movement becomes a reminder of the end. A subtle cue that has you closing your eyes and mouth, waiting for something more. 

As your boss begins to call on teams for updates, you can hear Miguel’s quiet praise. The sound of his breathy compliments latching to your skin, telling you how good you’re doing. How smart and beautiful you are. How well you take his fingers in preparation for his cock. 

An inevitable chill runs up your spine when Miguel makes the aforementioned switch. When his fingers move to hold your stomach and he slips inside, filling you up inch by painstaking inch at the same time your boss calls your name. 

You have to force yourself not to moan as you reply. To ignore the aching feeling of Miguel’s unmoving cock just sitting inside as you provide your boss with updates.

When he doesn’t you find yourself squirming for more, resisting the hands that hold you in place so you can force the push and pull. 

“You’re not paying attention to your meeting, sweetheart.” 

Under your breath you huff, feeling him buck his hips just once before he laughs and settles back in, roughly massaging the sides of your throat with nimble fingers that move up your chin to grab your jaw.

He forces you to focus on the screen of your computer. To look at all the coloured boxes that obscure real faces, completely ignorant to the fact that you’re lying here naked, feeling so full. Narrowing your eyes, you glance around at each one, trying to focus on the voice of someone who’s talking about sales as Miguel thumbs your bottom lip. 

“Unmute your mic.” 

“What?” 

“You heard me.” 

It’s an argument that’s quickly overthrown when Miguel does it for you, darting the hand that rests against your face to click the button before putting it back. Out of embarrassment you open your mouth and feel him carefully move his hips, smirking against your shoulder blade.

You have to force yourself not to swear as your head falls back, feeling the way he leisurely moves in and out, providing enough force to build but not to surpass the oncoming orgasm. Slowly but surely, the base of your cunt begins to tighten up, throbbing with minimal friction as you try to match his pace, shifting against him. 

As time passes, you can feel your thoughts begin to cloud over, resulting in the missed cue your coworker gives as he calls your name, prompting Miguel to tap your cheek and stop. 

It pulls you away from your blissed-out state, creating a sour taste in your mouth that has you sighing heavily, asking them to repeat themselves. 

After they do and you respond, Miguel mutes your mic again, snorting. “Thought I told you to pay attention.”

Obeying, you wrap your lips around his digits, letting your tongue explore each one as he relentlessly moves inside of you; each connection of your hips providing that familiar tinge of pain each time he stretches you out. Individual Expression in Spider-man: Across the Spider-verse and the trilogy's introductions:

So knowing what we do about the other protagonists of the Spider-verse films and the narrative format of characters introducing themselves and other characters, I think BTSV will open with Miles G Morales introducing himself as the Prowler and Earth-42. Not only keeping with the tone of the first film, but also emphasising the theme of "Beyond" the Spider-verse. It only makes sense that we open on a character who isn't Spider-man - even though they should've been.

But what exactly would that opening / introduction look like? Well, first we'd have to examine how our other protagonists have opened the previous films.

When we first meet Miles, he's colouring some stickers, and later, we see one of his hobbies is slapping those stickers around New York. We later learn his dad knows about this and disapproves, so instead, Miles bonds over his artistic expression with his Uncle Aaron. By the end of ITSV, Miles paints a mural for Aaron with his dad but he keeps making stickers, most notably on the clock tower because it's somewhere his dad won't find it (and doesn't know he's Spider-man).

Gwen opens ATSV by drumming and saying she, "didn't join a band to talk about my feelings, I joined a band to hit my feelings with sticks". She also talks about never finding the right band. When she meets Miguel and Jess, her mind flashes to drumming because she thinks she's found her band, and by the end she decides instead of joining a band she just make her own by siding with the people who want to save Miles.

In both films we see this is how these protagonists leave a mark on their environment. It's how they want to live with "no expectations" like ITSV implicates through Miles and Aaron's mural.

Gwen's drumming is a cry to be heard, and her dad quits the police force after listening halfway through her speech.

Miles' stickers are a cry to be seen, and reveals his identity to Rio before showing her his graffitied Spider-man icon (even though it backfires).

It's not just an artistic expression it's also in the way they do their hobbies - Gwen hits her drums, Miles slaps stickers...

So what is Miles G Morales' cry?

Ever since ITSV, Aaron's punching bag has become a subject of interest. When we first see it, Miles is playfully punching it - Aaron even holds it steady for him.

Later on, we see Miles tie up Peter B. Parker on it, and this scene is later paralleled with how Miles G Morales ties up Miles in ATSV. This works because it shows us how like Peter in the first film, Miles is now the Spider-man in the wrong dimension and how the tragedy of this Miles has gone from a likewise bright-eyed, clumsy awkward kid to a hardened but equally lost teenager. Finally, in both scenes, Miles and Peter make an attempt to break free of their bonds.

As unfortunate as it is, I don't think we're going to see an updated version of the 2020 test movement in the next film. Even though it looks amazing, that was a character exploration and not actually supposed to be in the final cut of the film.

Aaron punches the bag when Miles believes he doesn't want to be the Prowler. And that may be true. But either way, Aaron views the Prowler identity as a necessity to the stability and protection of his and Miles G's family.

But Miles doesn't understand that. At least not yet.

For Miles, the Prowler was an unstoppable force of nature that literally hunted him until Aaron unmasked himself and was so entangled in Kingpin's schemes that it got him killed. But in Earth-42, Aaron and Miles G are "the only heroes in that dimension" according to the artbook. Both Miles and Miles G are products of their environment, but that doesn't mean either is more or less heroic than the other. They're just operating on literally different timeframes.

And that's why Aaron punches the bag, and its why Miles G puts his fist near Miles' head because they want Miles to understand that no, the Prowler identity is not a corrupt alternative to the Spider-man identity based on preconceived misconceptions. Without much evidence, we believed Miguel was a "good guy" based on his identity as a Spider-person. Why can't the inverted case be applied to Miles G and Aaron?

This is why I feel like in the next film, Miles G's "Let's do this one last time" will be him training with the punching bag before Miles comes to Earth-42. Not too dissimilar from Jinx's boxing-machine scene from Arcane minus Jinx's psyche, but a scene intersecting with current and past events. Like with Miles and Gwen, Miles G training with the bag is his own cry for "no expectations" of being labelled a hero or villain.

Across the Spider-verse is 10/10 in animation, story, voice acting, and soundtrack (MILD spoilers)

To all the people who “Spider-Man can’t be black!” in 2018, Imma need y’all to hold that L indefinitely. Due to the concept of the multiverse, Spider-Man is literally all races, creeds, and backgrounds and it’s canon. There’s Indian, Muslima, paraplegic, Latino, and 4 different black Spider-people. The movie is 2hrs and 20-ish minutes, so PLEASE don’t bring your toddler cuz their attention span is gonna plummet an hour in. The plot of this movie is for the people who saw the first movie, so it’s matured with the original audience. Miguel O’Hara wants to preserve the multiverse (saving billions of lives), meaning each Spider-person’s story has to play out the same (get bit by a spider, your uncle dies, police captain dies). Miles Morales was NEVER supposed to be Spider-man (remember his spider came from Universe 42). Miguel’s all like “you’re not supposed to be Spider-Man but since you ARE Spider-Man, your police captain dad needs to die to keep your story consistent with the rest of us.” Miles response is “Hol’ up, you want me to sit back and let my dad die? I know these deaths make us who we are, but if we have the power to save people, then we should do the responsible thing and save them.” Both Miguel and Miles think they’re doing the responsible thing (letting canon play out vs saving lives regardless of canon). Miguel is lawful evil, believing the needs of the many outweigh the few. Miles’s very existence disrupts Spider-man canon, but he IS Spider-Man, whether he was fated to be or not. Also, Miguel keeps saying that the Spot is the huge threat to the multiverse then spends 15 minutes chasing down Miles, diverting a good portion of his resources to capturing him. HELLO, I thought you said the Spot >> Miles so why are you focusing on one kid and not the multiverse-ending superbeing?

Oz fast food barista AU (as someone who has had 3yrs barista experience). Also their ages can be pretty flexible in this au. Maybe they're college students maybe they're middle aged idk.

Tobias: He's definitely a shift leader and is one of the most responsible employees. Customers like him and he's the person you go to when you need a shift covered. He may not be the fastest barista but he never messes the drinks up.

Busmalis: Random elderly coworker. He's nice but he is SO slow and it stresses everyone out when they see that he's scheduled for a morning rush. Also he spills everything.

Rebadow: Sweet old man customer who orders the same thing every time (black coffee, prefers to pour his own creamer. Also a bagel with butter, prefers to put the butter on himself). Leaves a $1 tip lol.

Chris: Fuck boy employee. Has slept with TOO many coworkers and slips his phone number to like 20 different customers every shift. He's kinda entertaining but otherwise miserable to be around. He isn't particularly good at making drinks and he def doesn't help with cleaning or prep,, but he is unfortunately good at drive thru and making tips.

Ryan: The workplace gossip and devils advocate- you want to know anything about anyone? Ask Ryan. Somehow, he knows everything. He riles people up for fun and pits his coworkers against each other. He spends a lot of the time in the back on his phone, or in the bathroom doings drugs (yes I had a coworker who would do this lol), but sometimes he does work hard; It's very on and off with him. If u work with him for long enough he will tell you about his own relationship troubles. Also he's weirdly obsessed with one customers (gloria).

Miguel: He's fun to work with and is a pretty fast barista, altho he gets in trouble often and has even been fired a few times but somehow they always take him back. Runs to the window whenever there's a dog and makes sure to give them a pup cup. Is the only one who likes cleaning the espresso machine.

Chico: Is best at the food station or as a barista. Sometimes comes to work high but somehow he works better that way. WILL fight customers he does not gaf. Will make shady comments to a customers face if they don't leave a tip. Does not care about milk allergies and rolls his eyes when asked to remake a drink.

Omar: Same as Busmalis where he makes a lot of mistakes😭. Can talk to customers for a long time even if they clearly want to leave and are over the convo. They try to keep him in the back doing prep or the dishes but he loves doing drive thru even though he messes everything up.

Kareem: Shift leader who dreams of becoming manager. WILL call you out if he catches you stealing or sitting around, like if he is on the schedule it will not be a chill shift. He gives good advice sometimes so you would probably like him if he wasn't your annoying snitch coworker lol. He's the only person who makes sure that the bathroom is clean. Is pretty good at making tips.

Kenny: That one random teenager. Probably the laziest employee. He sits on the counter and plays games on his phone, even in front of customers. He's kinda amusing until you remember that he's a misogynist. Constantly threatens to quit but he never does.

Augustus: Okay so since he's in a wheelchair he may have to just stay in one position (I did some googling). Like just drinks or just drive thru since it's pretty cramped behind the counter. He's excellent at taking orders and makes customers laugh. A man who values his breaks. Like he doesn't gaf if the drive thru line has 20 cars, he WILL go sit out back to get some air.

Mukada: I imagine him as an operations manager type of person? Like he randomly pops into the store to see if everything is going fine. Everyone scrambles when they see his car pull into the lot. Ignores all the dirty jokes that they make. Tries to gently guide everyone to follow the rules but it's hard.

Adebisi: Also a creep that you won't want to work alone with. Do not put this man on drive thru... but he's an alright barista actually. Likes coming up with his own drinks. Has earbuds in when working and no one can get him to take them out.

McManus: Manager who is mad about the fact that he works for a fast food place. Honestly tries to be chill but will lose his shit over the most random things. You can tell him the times that you prefer to work but he will ignore that and schedule you whenever anyways. Does not take shit from customers and will defend his employees against them.
